Design of a Deflection Switched Reluctance Motor Control System Based on a Flexible Neural Network

Deflection switched reluctance motors (DSRM) are prone to chattering at low speeds, which always affects the output efficiency of the DSRM and the mechanical loss of the motor. Combining the characteristics of a traditional reluctance motor with the strong nonlinear and high coupling of the DSRM, a control system for a DSRM based on a flexible neural network (FNN) is proposed in this paper. Based on the better robustness and fault tolerance of fuzzy PI control, the given speed signal is adjusted and converted into a torque control signal. As a result, the FNN control module possesses the strong self-learning ability and adaptive adjustment ability necessary to obtain the control voltage signal. Through simulations and experiments, it was verified that the control system can run stably on DSRM and shows good dynamic performance and anti-interference ability.

Simulation analysis of SR motor speed regulation system based on PI control

The switching reluctance motor speed regulation system (SRD) will produce more serious nonlinear problems when running, and the current conventional solution is analyzed and discussed as a PI control method(HE 2008). Based on the SR motor model included in Matlab/Simuliunk simulation system, the simulation results are obtained by using the comparison method with or without PI control, and the advantages and disadvantages of the PI control method are analyzed to achieve the requirements for the switched reluctance motor control system.

Low‐torque ripple control of SRM based on current vector

To reduce torque ripple of switched reluctance motor (SRM), a low-torque ripple control method based on current vector is proposed in this study. In which, i d = 0 control strategy is adopted. Then, i q is decomposed into the vector sum of two-phase currents in different positions. A Fourier series model about T e and i q is established and this model satisfies the magnetic saturation condition. According to the established Fourier series model, the change rule of i q based on constant reference torque is obtained. In this study, torque models of SRM under traditional unipolar sinusoidal excitation control method, constant i q unipolar excitation control method and variable i q unipolar excitation control method are analysed. Finally, experimental platform of SRM control system based on TMS320F2812 is built. Experimental results show that the variable i q unipolar excitation method based on current vector decomposition can effectively reduce the torque ripple of SRM.

An advanced robust method for speed control of switched reluctance motor.

This paper presents an advanced robust controller for the speed system of a switched reluctance motor (SRM) in the presence of nonlinearities, speed ripple, and external disturbances. It proposes that the adaptive fuzzy control is applied to regulate the motor speed in the outer loop, and the detector is used to obtain rotor detection in the inner loop. The new fuzzy logic tuning rules are achieved from the experience of the operator and the knowledge of the specialist. The fuzzy parameters are automatically adjusted online according to the error and its change of speed in the transient period. The designed detector can obtain the rotor's position accurately in each phase module. Furthermore, a series of contrastive simulations are completed between the proposed controller and proportion integration differentiation controller including low speed, medium speed, and high speed. Simulations show that the proposed robust controller enables the system reduced by at least 3% in overshoot, 6% in rise time, and 20% in setting time, respectively, and especially under external disturbances. Moreover, an actual SRM control system is constructed at 220 V 370 W. The experiment results further prove that the proposed robust controller has excellent dynamic performance and strong robustness.

A fast switched reluctance motor controller based on FPGA

The paper presents the concept and practical implementation of a switched reluctance motor control system in an FPGA programmable device. The developed control system was designed for testing high-speed motors in order to limit the delays of output signals in relation to the signals from the encoder. The controller enables the values of commutation angles and PWM voltage to be set along with current limit values, measures the values of voltages and currents, and sends the results to the computer to be archived.

Implementation of PI Controller for 4ф Srm Drive Using TMS320F28335

<p class="Default">This paper presents the experimental investigation of DSP based 4Ф Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) Drive. SRM is a doubly-salient, singly-excited machine and having very simple construction, has a low inertia and allows an extremely high-speed operation. The control system of SRM is highly complex due to non linear nature. In such a system for implementing control algorithm needs high speed processor. In this work TMS320F28335 DSP processor is used to implement the inner loop PI current controller and outer loop PI speed controller. The TMS320F28335 is highly integrated, high performance solution for challenging control applications. The various experimental tests are carried out in 1 HP 4Ф SRM. The experimental results are reported in order to verify the steady state, transient and robustness performance of the controller.</p>

Design and Implementation of Low-power SRM Control System

The control system of Low-power switched reluctance motor(SRM) is complex, Which is not widely used. This paper presents a low-power SRM control system, which is simple and easy to achieve.And depending on the control system design of hardware and software, constructed experimental platform. Obtained data of SRM speed from the experimental platform and analyzed, Verified the reliability and feasibility of the control system.The control system is simple, low investment costs, Which provides a reference for the application of the same type lowpower SRM.

Study on Switched Reluctance Motor Control System Based on DSP

Accord to the theory of micro-step control, this study is about a design of a four-phase switched reluctance motor based on DSP-driven control system. Firstly, the study is about the design of the hardware circuit, such as the power inverter and its drive, current detection, position detection and the system power supply. And then to build a switched reluctance motor control system, TMS320L2812 as the core of control. Experiments show that this control strategy control is simple, but able to effectively restrain the torque ripple of switched reluctance motor under low speed.
