AbstractA microstrip ring resonator with stubs is analyzed by circuit theory. It is shown that the stubs lead to a reduction of the dimensions of the resonator, an increase of the susceptance slope parameter, and as a consequence, an increase of the Q‐factor. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
