Implementasi Kegiatan Supervisi Akademik di Sekolah

The school is a vehicle or space for the transformation of knowledge by and between school personnel, namely the principal, teachers and students as subjects and objects in the learning process as well as other educational staff who support the smooth running of managerial activities in the school. For the success of learning activities, the competence of the principal as a supervisor in the school is required to provide guidance and direction to teachers through academic supervision activities which are carried out in stages and continuously in accordance with the obstacles experienced by teachers during the learning process. This research aims to explore the implementation of academic supervision. The subjects of this research were teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Ma'arif 7 Banjarwati Paciran Lamongan using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The research results showed that at this stage activities were carried out, including preparing an academic supervision program plan, preparing academic supervision instruments and socializing the academic supervision program; The stages of implementing activities carried out in academic supervision are pre-observation, observation and post-observation; In the follow-up stage, the activities carried out by the school principal are evaluation and follow-up.

Principal Supervision in Improving the Quality of Learning Administration Services at the State Islamic Elementary School

This study focuses on the role of managerial supervision in enhancing learning administration services at MIN 03 Kepahiang. It adopts a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The research participants included the school principal, the curriculum deputy principal, and the administration head. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and were analyzed through data reduction (summarizing), data presentation (organizing information), and concluding (formulating a comprehensive description). The findings reveal that the principal and head of administration at MIN 03 Kepahiang have successfully implemented managerial supervision to improve learning administration services, which covers program planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation. The supervision by the school principal has been carried out effectively, resulting in enhanced administrative services and overall education quality. Through structured supervision programs, supervisors have assessed, monitored, and developed the performance of learning administration services at MIN 03 Kepahiang.

Academic Supervision at SMA Negeri 18 Palembang

Minister of National Education Regulation Number 13 of 2007 explains the ability of school principals to understand the Competency Standards of School Principals. The competence of the school principal based on the Minister of National Education Regulation consists of four components. The competency of the principal is an absolute ability to be mastered and practiced by the principal to lead and guide his subordinates within the scope of the school. One form of application is to carry out supervision competencies. This competency is a real action by the principal to improve the professionalism of teachers. The content of the activity is to approach using appropriate supervision techniques and then follow up. Looking at the results of the analysis of the supervision program in general at SMAN 18 Palembang, it should be followed up in order to improve the quality of educators such as: teachers have not developed and implemented an active learning process, teachers’ understanding of creative learning activities has not been maximized, and learning indicators and programs have not been developed holistically. It is an obligation for the principal to carry out comprehensive and systematic supervision and detail the opportunities for activities to be held along with the feedback from the supervision activities carried out. It is expected to boost the quality of learning for teachers and students in the classroom.

The Implementation of Human Resource Management in Improving Teacher Professionalism at MadrasaJunior High School

This research aims to analyze human resource recruitment at Madrasa Junior High School Al-Faaizun Watang Palakka Bone Regency, the selection of human resources at Madrasa Junior High School Al-Faaizun Watang Palakka Bone Regency, human resource development program at Madrasa Junior High School Al-Faaizun Watang Palakka Bone Regency. This research is qualitative research with the research location at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Faaizun Watang Palakka Bone Regency. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Then, data processing and analysis techniques are carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that human resource recruitment was carried out at Madrasa Junior High School Al-Faaizun Watang Palakka, Bone Regency, namely, firstly, preparation for the recruitment of educators, secondly, the distribution of announcements regarding the acceptance of educators was carried out in a closed manner, and thirdly, accepting teacher applications. Human resource selection was carried out at Madrasa Junior High School Al-Faaizun Watang Palakka, Bone Regency, namely administrative selection to determine the completeness of applicant files according to predetermined qualifications and interview selection to obtain in-depth information about applicants. The human resource development program at Madrasa Junior High School Al-Faaizun Watang Palakka is carried out through teacher qualification improvement programs, supervision programs, subject teacher deliberation empowerment programs (MGMP), and participating in scientific meetings such as workshops, seminars, good training held at madrasas and outside the madrasah. This research implies that the distribution of announcements on teacher recruitment should be done openly through brochures, advertisements, and other social media so that it is easier for the public to get information on teacher recruitment from these institutions, with needs.

Doctoral‐level counselor educators and program experiences across Carnegie Classifications

AbstractBased on online survey data provided by 163 counselor educators associated with counselor education and supervision programs, this study examined the extent to which Carnegie Classifications were associated with counselor educators’ occupational experiences and their perceptions of doctoral‐level training. Implications for doctoral training in counselor education and supervision are discussed.

Care coordinator delivered method of levels therapy to improve engagement and other outcomes in early psychosis (CAMEO): protocol for a feasibility cluster-randomised controlled trial

BackgroundRates of disengagement from early intervention in psychosis (EIP) services are high. Care coordinators make up the largest staff group in EIP services and have the most frequent and sustained contact with service users. The quality of relationships between service users and care coordinators plays a central role in determining the effectiveness of EIP services. Care coordinators, however, are not routinely offered training in psychosocial interventions that could enhance the therapeutic impact of their role. Method of levels (MOL) is a flexible, transdiagnostic cognitive therapy with potential advantages over previously evaluated approaches. Training care coordinators in MOL could make their routine contacts with service users more helpful and improve outcomes such as recovery rates and levels of engagement.AimsThis study aims to assess the feasibility of training care coordinators in EIP services to deliver MOL, to understand whether this approach might improve service user engagement and recovery from psychosis compared to treatment as usual, and to assess the feasibility of conducting a cluster-randomised controlled trial (C-RCT) with clustering at the level of teams. Specific feasibility outcomes relate to the recruitment and retention of participants, care coordinators’ level of engagement with the MOL training and supervision programme, implementation of MOL in practice, and the acceptability of the intervention amongst participants.MethodsA feasibility parallel group cluster-randomised controlled trial (C-RCT) designs with two arms: (1) treatment as usual (TAU) or (2) TAU plus support from a care coordinator who has received training in MOL. Randomisation will take place at the level of EIP teams with an allocation ratio of 1:2 in favour of the intervention arm. Our recruitment target is 12 EIP teams, 24 care coordinators working in participating EIP teams, and up to 96 service users working with participating care coordinators. Outcomes will be collected at baseline, 3 months, and 6 months. Qualitative methods will be used to understand participants’ experiences of the study, MOL training programme, and MOL intervention.DiscussionThis is the first study that aims to evaluate the feasibility of training EIP care coordinators to deliver MOL in their routine practice. Training care coordinators in MOL could enhance the quality of relationships between care coordinators and service users and improve outcomes for people experiencing early psychosis. Results will be used to determine the appropriateness of progressing to a larger evaluation trial.Trial registrationThis study was prospectively registered with the ISRCTN Registry (14082421).

Abstract: The aim of the academic supervision program is to improve the quality of teaching learning process as well as the teacher’s teaching competency. Improving the quality of teachers, both in professional and pedagogical competence, is surely provide huge benefit in improving the quality of learning. However, there are some problems found in the implementation of the teacher supervision program that make the supervision less optimal. The reason is the inconsistency of the implementation of this program. Moreover, this program seems to be implemented only for formality. This research aimed to determine the ongoing process of academic supervision at SMPIT Assalaam Boarding School (Assalaam Islamic Integrated Boarding School) Pekalongan. The research was carried out using a descriptive qualitative method, the required data was obtained through a process of interviews, discussions and documentation. The results of the research show that the academic supervision activities carried out at SMPIT Assalaam Boarding School Pekalongan have fulfilled the principles of supervision. Academic supervision is carried out to oversee the learning process as an institution's effort to provide quality assurance of education. Academic supervision is carried out through the following stages: the first is the socialization of the supervision program; the second is consultation on learning tools; the third is a class visit to the target teacher to be supervised; the fourth is a reflection on the implementation of teaching and learning activities; the fifth is scoring the results of academic supervision as a conclusion on the teacher's competency achievements; and then the preparation of follow-up activities of the supervision. Effectiveness of a culturally tailored HIV intervention in promoting PrEP among black women who use drugs in community supervision programs in New York City: a randomized clinical trial

BackgroundIn the U.S. there are significant racial and gender disparities in the uptake of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). Black Americans represented 14% of PrEP users in 2022, but accounted for 42% of new HIV diagnoses in 2021 and in the South, Black people represented 48% of new HIV diagnoses in 2021 but only 21% of PrEP users in 2022. Women who use drugs may be even less likely than women who do not use drugs have initiated PrEP. Moreover, women involved in community supervision programs (CSP) are less likely to initiate or use PrEP, More PrEP interventions that focus on Black women with recent history of drug use in CSPs are needed to reduce inequities in PrEP uptake.MethodsWe conducted a secondary analysis from a randomized clinical trial with a sub-sample (n = 336) of the total (N = 352) participants from the parent study (E-WORTH), who tested HIV negative at baseline were considered PrEP-eligible. Black women were recruited from CSPs in New York City (NYC), with recent substance use. Participants were randomized to either E-WORTH (n = 172) an HIV testing plus, receive a 5-session, culturally-tailored, group-based HIV prevention intervention, versus an HIV testing control group (n = 180). The 5 sessions included an introduction to PrEP and access. This paper reports outcomes on improved awareness of PrEP, willingness to use PrEP, and PrEP uptake over the 12-month follow-up period. HIV outcomes are reported in a previous paper.ResultsCompared to control participants, participants in this study assigned to E-WORTH had significantly greater odds of being aware of PrEP as a biomedical HIV prevention strategy (OR = 3.25, 95% CI = 1.64–6.46, p = 0.001), and indicated a greater willingness to use PrEP as an HIV prevention method (b = 0.19, 95% CI = 0.06–0.32, p = 0.004) over the entire 12-month follow-up period.ConclusionsThese findings underscore the effectiveness of a culturally-tailored intervention for Black women in CSP settings in increasing awareness, and intention to initiate PrEP. Low uptake of PrEP in both arms highlight the need for providing more robust PrEP-on-demand strategies that are integrated into other services such as substance abuse treatment.Trial RegistrationClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT02391233.

PARENTAL INFLUENCE ON CHILDREN'S FAST-FOOD CHOICES: A STUDY OF FAMILY DECISION-MAKING

Concerns about obesity and lifestyle diseases have increased as children eat more fast food. Parents influence children's eating patterns, especially fast-food selections. This study explores family decision-making processes to determine parental influence on children's fast-food habits. We surveyed 5–15-year-old families to determine how parental supervision, socioeconomic conditions, and family dynamics affect children's diets. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics in this quantitative study. While parental influence is significant, children's preferences and external effects like peer pressure and marketing can influence fast food choices. The study found that parental supervision and public health programs can help kids eat healthier. Parents, schools, and legislators are advised to help youngsters make healthier eating choices.

Efektivitas Supervisi Kepala Sekolah Dalam Peningkatan Profesionalisme Guru IPS di SMP 16 Seluma

Supervision services are provided to schools for the purpose of improving curriculum, learning, and instruction. As a logical consequence of this activity, schools must always be ready to be supervised because the purpose of supervision is clear. Educational problems are easily resolved if schools and principals understand the role and function of supervision. The aim of this research is to find out how effective the principal's supervision is in increasing the professionalism of social science teachers at SMP Negeri 16 Seluma. This research uses qualitative methods, and the respondents consist of school principals, social studies teachers and students. Observation, documentation, and interviews are data collection methods. The results of this research are as follows: 1) The ability of the principal to supervise social studies teachers at SMP Negeri 16 Seluma Regency. The principal must form a supervision team to start the supervision program; working with teachers to improve their competence as teachers; using direct and indirect approaches; and implementing methods, including meetings between principals and teachers. The school principal's professionalism supervision activities to increase the professionalism of social science teachers at SMP Negeri 16 Seluma were quite effective, with an average score of 3.83 and the professionalism of social studies teachers with an average score of 3.31.

The Influence of Housing Status and Food Insecurity on a Behavioral HIV/STI Prevention Intervention for Black Women under Community Supervision in New York City: A Moderation Analysis.

Black women in community supervision programs (CSPs) are disproportionately affected by HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). A randomized controlled trial of a group intervention titled Empowering African-American Women on the Road to Health (E-WORTH) demonstrated effectiveness in reducing sexual risk behaviors and STI incidence among Black women in CSPs. This secondary analysis aimed to assess the moderating effects of housing status and food security on E-WORTH effectiveness in reducing sexual risk behaviors and cumulative incidence of STIs over a 12-month period which were found significant in the original trial among a sample of 351 Black women in CSPs in New York City who use drugs and/or engage in binge drinking who reported engaging in HIV risk behaviors or testing positive for HIV. We examined the moderating effects of housing stability, housing independence, and food insecurity on reducing cumulative STI incidence and number of unprotected sex acts using mixed-effects negative binomial regression and logistic regression models that controlled for age, high school education, employment status, and marital status. Findings indicate that the intervention effect was moderated by housing stability, but not housing independence or food security. Compared to the control group, E-WORTH participants who were housing insecure had 63% fewer acts of condomless sex. Our findings highlight the importance of interventions designed for women in CSPs that account for upstream determinants of health and include service linkages to basic needs provisions. Further research is needed to unpack the cumulative impacts of multiple experiences of poverty faced by this population.

The Nature of the Role of the Prosecutor's Office in Preventing Corruption in Maluku Province

Objective: The aim is to emphasize the vital role of grassroots development, especially in villages, in bolstering the local economy and fueling national economic progress. This is supported by the third nawacita program, which prioritizes regional and village development within Indonesia's unitary state structure. Law Number 11 of 2021 clarifies prosecutorial functions, empowering the Attorney General to recover assets from criminal activities and allocate them appropriately. Theoretical framework: Law Number 11 of 2021 amends Indonesia's prosecutorial system, granting prosecutors autonomy and authority to recover assets from criminal activities. Concurrently, the management of village funds, governed by the Village Law, faces corruption challenges, prompting the Maluku High Prosecutor's Office to implement preventive measures like the CIA system. This study aims to evaluate the office's efforts in combating corruption in village funds, recognizing Indonesia's development starts at the grassroots to bolster the national economy. Method: Empirical sociological (field) research that examines the reality of law in society, focusing on the gap between expectations and reality in the legal field. Meanwhile, normative research examines norms, principles, theories and comparative law. The author combines these two types of research in this study, with a qualitative approach. Results and conclusion: Prosecutors in Maluku Province play a role in corruption prevention by carrying out a range of actions under the law, including investigation, prosecution and execution of court decisions. They also form government safeguarding teams, provide supervision, and implement programs such as Jaksa Masuk Desa. Prosecutors receive complaints from the public as part of their commitment to curbing corruption. Factors such as legal knowledge, legal awareness, community culture, and the substance of the law influence the AGO's role in corruption prevention efforts in Maluku. Originality/value: This research is expected to contribute thoughts and considerations for the Attorney General's Office, especially in the Maluku High Prosecutor's Office, regarding its role in preventing criminal acts of corruption in the management of village funds in Maluku Province.

Mentorship literature in counselor education and supervision programs: implications and recommendations for counselor educators

ABSTRACT The present article examines current literature on mentorship for counselor education and supervision (CES) doctoral students, and how current CES mentoring practices impact doctoral students’ personal and professional growth in alignment with accrediting body standards. Findings from the literature highlight the purpose, benefits, and potential barriers to establishing successful mentorship for CES doctoral students. Conceptual frameworks and departmental initiatives in building and infusing a culture of mentorship are explored. Implications and potential action steps for counselor educators are provided.

Education And Training Management In An Effort To Improve The Quality Of Educators At SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta

The management of education is an effort related to educational activities in which the process influences and motivates student creativity using tools, methods, media, facilities, and infrastructure needed to hold the educational activities. This research aims to describe the management of education and training in SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. The researcher used a qualitative method with a descriptive qualitative approach. The researcher observed and interacted directly with the headmaster and teachers through interviews, observation, and documentation. In testing the validity, he used the triangulation technique. The data obtained were then analyzed by conducting data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results showed that the administration, management planning of education in SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta, and national standard of education became the guidance of management administration in the school. The training was given to educational staff following the needs observed by the headmaster and vice headmaster of the curriculum by inviting experts and giving challenges to the teachers going to participate in the training. The headmaster gave rewards to the teachers who had finished their research. The participation of the teachers in the training was great because it was related to the level of career that the educators would have so that they became participative in developing potential. The enhancement of the quality of the educational staff in SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta was with various trainings and programs covering MGMP, workshops, double expertise program, and other supervision program development. By participating in the training, the educational staff of SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta can develop their potential or skills starting from pedagogy competence, professional competence, and personality competence.

Opportunities for success: perceptions of intensive supervision probation with services

ABSTRACT Probation remains at the forefront in relation to criminal justice supervision strategies. Many variations of probation exist, including intensive forms of community supervision for individuals classified as higher risk. Debate remains ongoing as to the efficacy of such forms of supervision, but most scholars agree that paired with services and treatment, community supervision at a variety of levels holds promise though the degree to which those under supervision agree remains in question. The current study examines the perceptions of those under an intensive supervision and services program, highlighting the experiences of 90 individuals participating in an intensive supervision with services program. Utilizing flexible coding and thematic analysis of responses to open-ended questions regarding the nature of supervision experiences, the results lend insight into what is perceived to be working – or challenging – regarding participation. Most participants indicated the structure, clarity, and service access promoted overall well-being and potential desistance, though structural challenges and time demands could limit the longer-term effectiveness of this type of supervision. These findings suggest probation programs may incorporate specific components to better supervision outcomes.

No Matter Your Age, "It's Your Life, It's Your Choice": Compulsory Persuasion and Informal Rehabilitative Support in Youth and Adult Intensive Supervision Programs.

Although existing literature identifies that public protection and risk reduction are the primary goals of intensive supervision programs (ISP), little is known about how or whether rehabilitation of high-risk offenders is prioritized outside of enforcing court-mandated conditions. Using qualitative semi-structured interviews and focus groups within two Canadian metropolitan ISPs, our study explores how rehabilitative support is offered to youth and adult high-risk offenders in the absence of formal conditions. Using the framework of late-modern rehabilitation and compulsory persuasion, we draw on themes of offender responsibilization and coercion to interrogate the provision of informal rehabilitative support. Our findings indicate that officers negotiate "voluntary agreements" with select high-risk offenders, which hierarchicalizes them into two groups: those worthy of informal support and those who "choose" not to want to rehabilitate. We also find that youth and adults are treated similarly despite substantive differences between the types of crimes committed.

The Mediating Effect of Self-Efficacy on Perceived Supervisor Support on Self-Perceived Employability in Generation Z Participating in the Certified Internship and Independent Study Program

According to demographic trends, Generation Z was 25 percent of the labor force by 2030. Generation Z needs extra preparation because of a lack of work experience and has a propensity for having negative attitudes at work. Participating in an internship program like the Certified Internship and Independent Study is one of those preparations. Participants in this internship gain both practical work and supervised experience by their supervisor. This research aimed to investigate if the existence of self-efficacy can influence self-perceived employability as a mediator and perceived supervisor support as a predictor. The research method used a quantitative approach to 160 Generation Z members participating in the batch 3 internship program (25.5 percent of the population) at an IT company. Hypothesis testing was carried out with the mediation analysis model in the medmod module in Jamovi 2.3.26. The main result was that self-efficacy could partially mediate the effect of perceived supervisor support on self-perceived employability. This means that the existence of self-efficacy can indirectly increase the influence of perceived supervisor support on self-perceived employability. The direct influence of perceived supervisor support on self-perceived employability is smaller than when involving self-efficacy as a mediator. Based on this result, interventions can be made to strengthen the self-efficacy of internship participants, for example, by providing a strong experience so that the supervision program during an internship can strengthen the self-perceived employability of internship participants. In the end, the intern participants can feel the added value of their internship program.

Peningkatan Mutu Pendidik di Sekolah Alam Prasasti Sukatenang Bekasi

Sekolah Alam Prasasti, located in Piket Village, Sukatenang Village, Sukawangi District, is a free educational institution founded by a couple of activists and culture lovers. The subjects taught are character building, academic logic, leadership, entrepreneurship, and conservation and the environment. The many levels of education from kindergarten to high school taught by teachers at these schools, makes teachers experience difficulties in teaching subjects to their students. The need for competence in the field of soft skills such as informative teaching methods in the form of the basics of communication, public speaking and microteaching is very necessary. Therefore, assistance and training are needed in making learning media for inscription natural school teachers in order to improve teacher competence. The purpose of the activity and focus in this service is to meet the needs of the Alam Prasasti school, namely micro teaching training, good teaching methods, how to increase educational insight, educational psychology of teaching, IT education and development which includes mastery of Microsoft Office, graphic design, digital marketing , public speaking, curriculum making, human people intelligence, children's intelligence standards which are also an urgency for basic knowledge needs for teachers. The proposed activity plan is in the form of increasing teacher competence, competency-based integrity programs, training on the preparation of tools, educational supervision programs, soft skill-based training, educational observation and evaluation training.

Supervision of Road Maintenance Implementation at the Self-Managed Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) Road and Bridge Maintenance of Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency of Banjarmasin City Government

This study evaluates the supervision of road maintenance implementation by the government, with the aim of identifying inhibiting factors and proposing efforts to overcome them. The research approach was qualitative, with the Head of the Road Division as the key informant and Section Heads and staff as additional informants. Data collection methods included observation, interviews and documentation, and data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The identified inhibiting factors include the lack of apparatus quality, inadequate work facilities and infrastructure, insufficient road supervision funds, not optimal utilization of apparatus resources, and inappropriate apparatus placement. Efforts made to overcome these factors include improving the quality of human resources, improving facilities and infrastructure, allocating larger budget funds, implementing supervision programs based on needs analysis, making officer development plans, and evaluating project supervisory employees. By overcoming these inhibiting factors and implementing these efforts, it is expected to increase the effectiveness of road maintenance supervision and provide better road conditions for the community
