The existence of wild plants causes competition between the main plants and wild plants. Wild plants that grow with cultivated plants can reduce yields, both in quality and quantity. This study aims to determine the species diversity and distribution of wild plants in maize (Zea mays) and sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum) fields in Gondanglegi District, Malang Regency. This research method is descriptive and exploratory. The data measured included the number of species, the number of individuals, the importance value index, and the diversity index of wild plant species. The results showed that there were 19 species of maize in all villages and the number of individuals was found (3395 individuals). In the sugar cane fields, 17 species were found in three villages in the Godanglegi Sub-District which found the number of individuals (2254 individuals). The distribution value of wild plants on corn fields in Sumberjaya, Ganjaran, and Putatlor villages is quite high with an average percentage of 65.3% higher than wild plants on sugar cane fields with an average percentage of 46.4%.Keywords: Corn, Sugarcane.
