The purpose of this study is to describe the development of Arabic language teaching materials based on multiple intelligences, to determine their validity and effectiveness. The research method used is R&D with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Application, and Evaluation). The results of the study are as follows: (1) Multiple intelligences-based teaching materials are valid with a percentage of 92.4% in terms of material, 87.5% in language and 94.23% in design. (2) Multiple intelligences-based learning materials are effective for improving students' understanding of qawaid, this can be seen from the Wilcoxon 0.000 test results which are less than 0.05. Scanning Horn Simulation Code for Electron Beam Machine Based on Boris Algorithm

A numerical particle simulation code package to estimate the irradiation distribution of an electron beam machine is presented. Particle-to-particle interactions are calculated using particle-in-cell method, while the equation of motion is solved using Boris algorithm. The amplitude of oscillating magnetic field distribution from the scanning horn is obtained using CST magnetic field solver. The code was run using Intel’s i7-10700 processor without multithreading. For cases where particle-to-particle interactions are negligible, the simulation requires about 10 000 seconds to finish. The results show that different shapes of signals will result in different irradiation distributions. For a relatively low magnetic oscillation frequency, it is shown that a triangular signal will result in a more evenly distributed irradiation compared to a sinusoidal signal. Potentials of Alginates as Capping Agent for Oral Colon Delivery of Radiosynthesized Silver Nanoparticles: A Review

Radiosynthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) offer benefits for treatment of chronic colon inflammation due to their anti-inflammatory activity. Targeted delivery of AgNPs to the colon allows topical treatment at high concentration but at reduced systemic side effects. Meanwhile, related to drug administration, oral route is a common method. However, the physiology of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract limits the AgNPs ability to achieve their therapeutic level. This is specifically related to the acidic environment of the stomach and mucus layer of the GI tract. Concurently, alginates are one of the most extensively explored biomaterial classes for drug delivery system due to its biocompatibility, gel-forming ability at mild condition, anionic nature, sensitivity, and mucoadhesiveness. In this review we provide an overview of appropriate features of alginates as capping agent for oral delivery of radiosynthesized AgNPs to the colon. As capping agents, alginates play multiple roles specific to its processing stages, i.e., radiosynthesis, stabilization of nanoparticle system, and oral colon delivery devices of AgNPs. Additionally, we describe outstanding features of alginates as capping agents for drug delivery device as well as the positive contributions of radiation processing on improving the functional effects of alginate. The Attitudes of Primary Teacher Education Program Students Towards Utilizing Flipgrid in English Speaking Skill

The participants of this research were 60 students of PTEP in one of Muhammadiyah Universities located in Jakarta who attended an English course. The research used a mixed method to collect the quantitative and qualitative data to analyze. Thus, the instruments used were observation, questionnaire and semi-structure interview. The result showed that most of the students agreed to use Flipgrid in learning English speaking skill as this app had benefits and could motivate the students to practice speaking better as well as increased the students’ confidence. It is thus recommended that lecturers should be encouraged to use Flipgrid in English learning activity, mainly in speaking skill to boost the students to be more active to create videos and engage in interactions with lecturers and classmates mediated with video discussion forum.

Effect of Starch and Chitosan Addition on Swelling Properties of Neutralized Poly(Acrylic Acid)-Based Superabsorbent Hydrogels Prepared by Using γ-Irradiation Technique

Superabsorbent hydrogels are polymers with a 3D network that have attracted the attention of scientists and industrialists because of their fantastic ability to absorb and retain water and aqueous solutions. The most widely used and commercially available superabsorbent hydrogels are synthetic K-acrylate materials. In this novel study, superabsorbent hydrogels have been developed using natural ingredients to have more biodegradable properties. Superabsorbent hydrogels were synthesized from acrylic acid, cassava starch, and chitosan using the γ -irradiation method under different experimental conditions. The γ-irradiation technique was chosen to produce hydrogels free of residues that may remain when chemical crosslinkers are used. The effects of irradiation dose, acrylic acid composition, and the amount of cassava starch and chitosan on the characteristics of produced hydrogels were analyzed. The resulting polymers were further characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) to evaluate the structure. The thermal behavior of superabsorbent products at different neutralization doses was tested with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). FTIR data indicated that the grafting reaction was successfully implemented in this work. SEM analysis showed that the hydrogel produced from this study was porous and there was a reduction in pore size with the addition of starch and chitosan. It can be concluded that the addition of cassava starch and chitosan affects the acrylic acid-based superabsorbent properties, which are pore size, thermal behavior , gel content, antibacterial activity, and swelling capacity in water, salt, and urea solutions. The best hydrogel was obtained by adding 0.25 g of cassava starch and 0.25 g of chitosan, using 50 % acrylic acid neutralization and 5 kGy γ-irradiation doses . The graft polymers possess the maximum swelling capacity of 670 g/g for distilled water, 520 g/g for NaCl solution, and 767 g/g for urea solution (relative to the dry weight). These products were sterile from Escherichia coli bacteria and had the potential to be applied as superabsorbent resins for various fields. Elemental Mapping for Characterizing of Thorium and Rare Earth Elements (REE) Bearing Minerals Using µXRF

Thorium (Th) anomaly was found in Adang Volcanic Complexes, Mamuju Area, West Sulawesi. This element is associated with high-value elements, the rare earth elements (REE). The minerals containing Th and REE were found in veins mineralization with various types of minerals which are very difficult to identify by conventional method. This research aims to understand the distribution and characterization of Th and REE in individual minerals, using Micro X-Ray Fluorescence (µXRF) analysis and completed by Advanced Minerals Identification and Characterization System (AMICS) software. The samples were collected from vein mineralization in Hulu Mamuju Sector. The contents of Th and REE that were analyzed using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) completed by Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) are 11,550-74,480 ppm and 6,244.15-48,036.87 ppm, respectively. The minerals that contain Th and REE are britholite ((Ce,Ca) 5 (SiO 4 ) 3 OH), aeschynite (Ce,Ca,Fe,Th)(Ti,Nb) 2 (O,OH) 6 , cerite (Ce,Ca) 9 (Mg,Fe)(SiO 4 ) 3 (HSiO 4 ) 4 (OH) 3 , monazite (REE,Th(PO 4 )), thorite (Th(SiO 4 )), and thorutite (Th,U,Ca)Ti 2 (O,OH) 6 associated with other minerals such as pyrite, actinolite, apatite, ilmenite, hematite, zircon and ankerite. Some minerals are uncommon minerals and are only characterized by detailed elemental mapping. Abstract 3139: Disrupting prostaglandin E2 signaling to reverse treatment resistance in cancer

Abstract Pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDA) accounts for 3% of all cancers in the USA and 7% of all cancer deaths partly because of its resistance to immunotherapy. PDA manifests itself as a desmoplastic, myeloid cell-rich tumor with a notable paucity of T cells. Pathway analysis of the T cell low, immunotherapy resistant mouse PDA cell lines has identified the prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) synthetic pathway as one of the most upregulated ones. We have previously shown that the deletion or pharmacological inhibition of COX-2, the rate-limiting PGE2 synthesis enzyme, slows the tumor growth and synergizes with immunotherapy to further suppress PDA progression. The current study investigates how the disruption of PGE2 signaling through its receptors, EP4 and EP2, can affect PDA. We use EP receptor genetic and pharmacological inhibition models - we disrupt EP signaling on tumor cells only or systemically, test the effects in T cell low, intermediate, and high PDA tumors, alone or in combination with chemo and immunotherapy. EP4 receptor blocker combined with the agonistic CD40 and anti-PD-1 antibodies significantly increased tumor-free survival of the T cell intermediate PDA implanted tumor-bearing (TB) mice (57% tumor-free in treated vs 0% in the control group). The same combination therapy tended to increase the survival in autochthonous tumor-bearing KrasG12D and p53R172H transgenic mice (p=0.08). CRISPR knockout (KO) of the EP4 in the T cell low cell line abolished the growth of subcutaneous (SQ) tumors and significantly slowed the progression of orthotopically implanted tumors (p=0.009 EP4 KO vs control). Treatment of the SQ T cell low TB mice with EP2/EP4 blockers in combination with either anti-PD-1 or chemotherapy slowed the tumor growth compared to the controls (p=0.002 and p=0.004, respectively) and increased the survival (p=0.007 and p=0.002, respectively). A week of combination treatment resulted in changes in the myeloid cell compartment of the TME - an increase in the proportion of M1 macrophages and type 1 conventional dendritic cells with no significant changes in the T cell compartment. The study demonstrates an alternative approach to targeting the PGE2 pathway in tumors and aims to develop a multiprong treatment regimen to reverse the therapy resistance in PDA. Systematic Projected Shell Model Study of Even-Even Dysprosium Isotopes

Back-bending phenomenon is one of the important phenomena usually seen at high spin states of even - even heavy nuclei. As a result, any changes in the behavior of nuclear rotation, such as increase in moment of inertia versus rotational frequency can be shown in the usual back-bending plots which have been studied in many papers before. In this paper we show for the first time that these changes can be seen in the ratio of electromagnetic reduced transition probabilities B (E2) and B (M1) in even - even 152-164 Dy isotopes using the Projected Shell Model (PSM) theory. The electric quadrupole transition probability B (E2) and the magnetic dipole transition probability B (M1) moments are sensitive to nuclear shape deformation and nuclear charge distribution, respectively. Our findings confirm the well-known back-bending previously seen and are in good agreement with experimental results. Therefore, it is necessary to provide complete data. However, the expected experimental data encompass only a tiny fraction of various nuclides; not even all nuclides have fission product data. JENDL and ENDF are databases that have completed the experimental data. These databases were obtained through the process of evaluating experimental data. The evaluation technique used includes the results of theoretical research that has been carried out. Fission Toy Model (FTM) is a fission model proposed to complement the preexisting ones. Each model has advantages and disadvantages. The advantage of the FTM model is that it uses stochastic principle in its calculations.This research aims to obtain a fission barrier through the FTM. The work is related to calculating the fission barrier using the random nature of nucleon position. The calculation technique is basically to take advantage of the random nature of the nucleon position to calculate the Coulomb energy. Then, by calculating several essential points, a data set was obtained that can be used to produce a curve that relates the Coulomb energy to the mass number and the atomic number of a nuclide.The success of this research is indicated by the calculation results that are close to the experimental value compared to other methods.

Icon metaphor design based on ideographic Chinese character-creation

Icons, as core morphemes of interface design, have relatively standardised visual style definitions. However, little is known about the related metaphorical design method from the academic and industrial standpoints. We conducted comparisons based on Chinese character-creation and examined radical (root) forms and rules based on mainstream metaphorical designs, with a focus on the Airstar Bank icon. We adopted a practice-based design research method to continue to explore and evaluate the icon metaphor design method. We found similar approaches in icon metaphor design and ideographic Chinese character-creation. We further explored three icon metaphor design methods based on the ideographic design methods used for Chinese characters, including the single-body, variant, and compound-body modelling methods. An analysis of the Airstar Bank icon exemplifies an efficient, standardised icon morpheme, based on Chinese character-creation, which provides practical insight into systematic icon metaphor design.

Skin Dosimetric Comparison of 3DCRT and IMRT Planning for Post-Mastectomy Breast Radiotherapy

Breast cancer is the most common cancer for incidence and mortality among females globally and in Indonesia. Mastectomy is still the most common surgery for female breast cancer in Indonesia. After the mastectomy, several patients will receive a whole breast radiotherapy session. About 68.75 % of breast cancer patients in the radiotherapy department at Lavalette Hospital during 2019 had undergone the mastectomy. Radiotherapy treatment for breast cancer can be delivered using Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) or 3D-Conformal Radiotherapy (3DCRT) technique. This study is aimed to compare the skin dosimetric between IMRT and 3DCRT for post-mastectomy breast radiotherapy. Left-sided breast cancer patients who underwent radiotherapy at Lavalette Hospital during 2019 were included in this study, and 15 patients were selected. All patients received 50 Gy in 25 fractions over 5 weeks using 6 MV photons. The planning target volume (PTV) and organ at risk (OAR) were delineated. Skin with 3 mm thickness along PTV was also contoured for evaluating the dose delivered to the skin. The treatment planning was conducted using 3DCRT and 5 fields IMRT planning. The plans were optimized for at least 95 % of the prescribed dose to cover 95 % volume of the PTV. The mean dose and maximum dose were used for evaluating and comparing each plan. The skin’s mean dose from 3DCRT planning was 24.65 ± 4.12 Gy and 22.85 ± 3.68 Gy ( p = 0.002) for IMRT planning. Meanwhile, skin maximum doses were 54.15 ± 0.68 Gy and 53.89 ± 1.05 Gy ( p = 0.001) respectively for 3DCRT and IMRT planning. These results showed that IMRT offered a lower dose to the skin and a better skin-sparing effect than 3DCRT. Effect of Densification on the Random Field Model Parameters of Liquefiable Soil and their Use in Estimating Spatially-Distributed Liquefaction-Induced Settlement

Densification-type ground improvement has gained wide acceptance as an effective technique to improve the static and cyclic strength and seismic performance of liquefiable soils. However, there has been little attempt to quantify the degree of change in certain measures of soil spatial variability following densification. This study uses the random field model (RFM) framework to quantify changes in the trend, inherent variability, and the autocorrelation of soil following various densification-based ground improvement methods using case history data. Ground improvement technologies investigated include driven displacement piles, vibro-replacement (i.e., stone columns), and deep dynamic compaction. Vertical RFM parameters are shown to change significantly following densification, with reductions in the coefficient of inherent variability, and increases in the scale of fluctuation, the latter of which appears related to the initial relative density. One case history is used to illustrate the utility of the RFM framework to link spatial variability of the post-shaking settlements to the results of a geostatistical model of the subsurface, including the three-dimensional distribution of CPT measurements and fines content. It is shown that the spatial distribution of differential surface settlements is correlated to those spatially-varying subsurface characteristics that are known to lead to larger liquefaction-induced settlement. An instrumented trial embankment was constructed on the soft ground with the use of prefabricated vertical drains at Ballina in northern New South Wales (NSW, Australia) as part of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Geotechnical Science and Engineering (CGSE) research program. Comprehensive geotechnical site investigations were performed and field monitoring data were collected, which make it possible to study and compare various settlement prediction methods. In this paper, the Asaoka method, the Hyperbolic method, and the Bayesian updating approach are employed to predict the settlement of the trial embankment. The predictions of the three methods are compared for different amounts of monitoring data. The results show that the predicted settlements are close to the measurements and the accuracy of the ultimate settlement prediction can be improved by incorporating more monitoring data. The time increment can significantly influence the accuracy of the result predicted by the Asaoka method. The Bayesian updating approach is in agreement with the observed settlement by using only 215 days of the monitoring data. The X-Ray Laboratory Assistant `S Duty To Inform The Patients In Order To Get Informed Consent

Introduction : Nowadays, the X-ray laboratory assistant profession has a key role and it covers a large perimeter of the general medical activities. As a result, this leads to increase of the responsibility in professional decision-making; this requires a raising of standards for professional behavior and good knowledge, as well as for observation of the professional conduct rules along with the legal provisions regarding the patients’ rights. Aim: Research of the link between the professional conduct rules and the legal provisions regulating the patients’ rights, and more specifically research of the link between the rules that regulate the right to know and the informed consent related to the X-ray laboratory assistant`s activity. Materials and methods : Literature sources analysis and documentary methods were used. Results and discussion: The analysis results show that the ethical standards in the Professional Conduct for associated medical professionals in the healthcare of the Republic of Bulgaria, including the X-ray laboratory assistants, attain a significance of legal regulations with binding force which is affixed by claiming an administrative criminal liability under the Professional Organizations of Nurses, Midwives and Associated Medical Professionals Act. Summary and conclusions: The knowledge and observation of the professional conduct rules along with the legal provisions that regulate the right to know and the patients` informed consent, guarantee the ethical and legal practice of the X-ray laboratory assistant profession, as well as the high quality of the healthcare. MASSIVE LABOR COOPERATION IN ANDROID DEVELOPMENT: A CHANGE OR AN EXPANSION OF CAPITALIST LABOR?

The productive forces development in the capitalist production model demanded intensive uses of information and communication technologies. This condition promotes the formation of new ways of labor organization and collaborates for mass cooperation process emergence in the production of digital goods. The research object was the development of the Android project, led by Google. The research was conducted following the Critical Epistemology of Concrete - CEC and following the theoretical body of the Political Economy of Power. The descriptions of the CEC research method were the basis for treatment information collected by documentary analyses, nonparticipating observations, and applied interviews. The study indicated that the labor on massive cooperation does not surpass the generator labor of surplus-value appropriate by capital, even promoting significant changes in the Marxist category Cooperation. Also, the development of capitalism continues incorporating technological elements in the labor organization and masking fundamental aspects to ensure control over the work and the extraction of surplus-value, even if apparently the labor had become more “free”. Finally, the research has shown that the classic Marxist categories are still contemporary and function to understand the reality moves in organizations. Large Diameter Piles Under Lateral Loading – A Database Study

Current P-y curves were developed about 60 years ago based on lateral load tests on piles which ranged from 0.3 to 0.6 m in diameter. Today’s pile diameters can reach 4 m or more. This significant difference in scale brings into question the applicability of these early P-y curves to today’s large diameter piles. A horizontal load tests database of 46 piles with diameters larger than 1.5 m (up to 3.0 m) and 64 piles with diameters less than 1.5 m both in sand and in clay was assembled. Predictions of load and displacement were carried out using commonly used P-y curves and the software LPILE. Within this paper, these predictions are compared to the measured loads and measured displacements. The ratio of predicted over measured quantities is plotted against pile diameter, and trends are noted. Modifications to the P-y curves are then proposed so that the ratio of predicted over measured displacement remains approximately independent of diameter. Finally, the probability that the predictions will be unsafe is evaluated.

The SSDE strongly depends on the water-equivalent diameter (D W ). In abdominal CT examinations, a contrast agent is sometimes used to more clearly visualize tissue lesions. The Hounsfield unit (HU) of CT images with and without the use of a contrast agent at specific areas is slightly different and it may affect the D W value. This study aimed to compare the D W values calculated from axial CT images in patients who had undergone routine abdominal scans both with and without the use of a contrast agent. Axial images of 144 patients with a weight range of 3.5 kg to 90 kg who had undergone routine abdominal scans both with and without the use of a contrast agent using a Siemens Sensation 64 CT scanner were retrospectively collected. The D W values were automatically calculated using the Matlab-based IndoseCT (version 15a) software. The results show the percentage difference between D W,contrast and D W,non - contrast is below 2 %. As a result, the mean SSDE contrast is 1.5 % smaller than SSDE non - contrast . Due to the effect of a contrast agent on the D W and SSDE value s is below 2 %, the axial images of CT abdomen without the use of a contrast agent can be used as the accurate estimation of D W and SSDE for images with the use of a contrast agent. Addition of Lead (Pb)-Nitrate Filler on Polymer Composite Aprons for X-Ray Radiation Shielding

Radiation shield ing aprons are needed by radiation workers to minimize radiation exposure to the body. The apron s at present use fabric-coated lead plates which are heavy and rigid materials and therefore are not comfortable to use. Polymer aprons from cassava starch and glycerin with addition of Pb- nitrate filler at 0 %, 2 %, 4 %, and 6 % have been synthesized. Mixtures for synthesizing the polymer apron composites were heated using a magnetic stirrer at a speed of 800 rpm at 160 °C for 25 minutes. Then, the polymer apron composites were dried in an oven for 24 hours at 70 °C. The effectiveness of the apron was determined by calculating the attenuation coefficient ( μ ), half-value layer (HVL), and radiation absorption. The mechanical properties of the aprons were characterized by testing their tensile strengths using an A&D MCT-2150 universal tester. The result shows that the optimal addition of Pb- nitrate filler of as much as 6 % produced aprons with an attenuation coefficient of 1248 cm ‑1 , HVL of 0.54 cm, and radiation absorption of 25 % , while the aprons’ tensile strength was obtained as 28.244 MPa. T he addition of Pb-nitrate as a filler in apron composites proportionally improves the quality of materials used as radiation shields. More detailed research is still needed to obtain the best apron.
