Market Reactions to Economic, Social, and Environmental Contributions Post-COVID-19 a Study on ESG-Based Index Constituents

A company's value in relation to its economic, social, and environmental performance is measured by market reactions, which are represented by anomalous returns. As evidenced by abnormal returns, corporate performance that promotes sustainability can boost investor confidence in the stock market. Using abnormal returns as a stand-in, this study attempts to examine how market reactions are affected by economic and social contributions per share as well as economic contributions per share. The research sample consists of companies that have consistently been constituents of the SEG index, which includes SRI-Kehati, ESG Sector Leaders IDX KEHATI, and ESG Quality 45 IDX KEHATI, as well as companies in other indices such as LQ45, IDX80, and Kompas1000, from 2021 to 2023. Purposive sampling was used in the sample selection process, and 119 businesses were chosen to serve as the study subjects. Using Eviews, multiple linear regression is the analytical method employed. The analysis concludes that economic contributions have an impact on market reactions, but social and environmental contributions per share do not significantly affect them. The study's managerial implications highlight how crucial it is for managers to creatively convey to the public the company's environmental and social accomplishments in quantifiable financial terms. The value, purpose, and advantages of the company's donations are highlighted by this method, which also makes it easier for the public to accept and comprehend corporate social contributions.

Application of Information Systems, Internal Control, Risk Assessment, and Internal Audit for Collection Effectiveness of Accounts Receivable

The aim the purpose of this study was to ascertain how internal control and accounting information systems, risk assessment and internal auditing influence the effectiveness of receivables collection. This study was conducted at PT. Puninar Infinite Raya uses the use of internal audit, risk assessment, internal control, and accounting information systems as independent variables and the effectiveness of the collection of accounts receivable as dependent variables. The sample in the study amounted to 42 people. The questionnaires received back from the respondents were 42 people. There is one analysis model of the data processing method used, namely the model for multiple regression analysis. According to the study's findings, the use of accounting information systems significantly and negatively affects the efficiency of collecting receipts; on the other hand, internal control significantly and favorably affects the efficiency of collecting receivables, and risk assessment affects the efficiency of collecting receivables. The efficiency of receivables collection is impacted concurrently by the use of accounting information systems, internal control, risks associated with their implementation, risk assessment, and internal audit. The study's managerial implications include the use of information systems. Such as operating efficiency and real-time monitoring. Internal control such as fraud prevention, legal compliance.

Beyond The Brew: Crafting Kopi Kenangan Purchase Decisions Through Store Atmosphere, Promotions, And Service Quality

The culinary business competition holds significant popularity among Indonesian individuals, particularly within the food and beverage industry. Coffee shops have been undergoing significant expansion and can now be found in numerous locations. One notable example of this growth is Kopi Kenangan, which has emerged as one of the largest coffee shop chains. The primary objective of this study is to examine the impact of store atmosphere, promotions, and service quality on consumer purchasing behaviour at the Curug branch of Kopi Kenangan in Tangerang City. The target group for this study comprises individuals who have engaged in transactions at the Curug Tangerang Branch of Kopi Kenangan between December 2022 and June 2023. This study employed a non-probability sampling approach, specifically utilising the incidental sampling technique. The overall sample size consisted of 125 respondents. This study employs the technique of multiple linear regression analysis, utilising the statistical software SPSS 26 for Windows. The findings of the study indicate that factors such as store atmosphere, promotions, and service quality have a partial and simultaneous impact on consumer purchase decisions. For those involved in the coffee industry, this study's managerial implications may be useful.

Modeling the Nexus Between Perceived Value, Risk, Negative Marketing, and Consumer Trust with Consumers' Social Cross-Platform Buying Behaviour in India Using Smart-PLS

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to highlight the need for research on the relationship between consumer value, risk, and trust in the context of social cross-platform perceptions, specifically in India. The study aims to provide insights into how these factors influence consumers' cross-platform buying behavior, ultimately contributing to a better understanding of online shopping dynamics and informing strategies for building trust and enhancing consumer experiences in the online shopping environment. Methodology: The research methodology involved conducting a survey among 320 online shoppers in India. The objective was to investigate the relationship between social cross-platform perceptions of consumer value, risk, and trust in the context of online shopping. The researchers developed a questionnaire to collect data on perceived value, risk propensity, trust, and cross-platform buying behavior. Partial least squares (PLS) path modeling were used to analyze the data, revealing significant effects of perceived value, risk propensity, and trust on consumers' cross-platform buying behavior. Finding: This research focuses on the rise of social cross-platform buying behaviour in India and examines the influence of perceived risk, perceived value, trust, and marked negative reporting on consumer behaviour. The study found that consumers' perceptions of perceived risk and perceived value significantly impact their likelihood of using social e-commerce platforms like Meesho. Perceived risk refers to the level of uncertainty or potential harm associated with a purchase, while perceived value refers to the benefits or worth a consumer perceives from a product or service. Marked negative reporting refers to negative reviews or news articles that can impact a consumer's trust in a platform. Managerial implication: The study's managerial implications highlight the importance of reducing perceived risk, increasing perceived value, and building trust to improve social e-commerce marketing strategies. Organizations should be cautious of negative reporting and its impact on consumer behavior. Researchers can gain insights into consumer behavior and the significance of trust and perceived risk in driving purchase decisions in the context of social e-commerce marketing. To encourage cross-platform purchases, companies should address negative reports from other platforms, establish trust with consumers, and find ways to minimize perceived risk associated with social media purchases. Value: A significant contribution to the body of knowledge is achieved through testing and subsequent confirmation of the effects of online purchasing in the study model. This research enhances our understanding of the factors influencing online purchasing in the context of social cross-platform interactions. By investigating the relationship between Risk, Trust and various constructs within the social cross-platform framework, this study provides valuable insights into the dynamics of consumer behavior in the digital era.

Issues with mobile money in developing countries

A major criterion is the reduction of snags in the management of mobile money systems. The study was prompted by the ongoing problems with mobile money management. Previous research in underdeveloped nations concentrated mostly on technology algorithms for mobile money systems, with little attention paid to managerial issues. The research aims to reduce hiccups in the management of mobile money systems. A qualitative investigation was carried out, which was supported by activity theory and directed by an interpretative paradigm. The major data tools were semi-structured interviews and an internal document review. Expert purposive sampling was used, and data was thematically evaluated and themes were mapped onto activity theory nodes. The study's key findings included inadequate monitoring of mobile money agents, insufficient confidentiality and privacy in financial transactions, the use of general accounts for financial transactions, the use of generic guidelines and policies, third-party involvement in sensitive mobile money activities, and weak staff recruitment policies. The study's managerial implications include online customer registration, the implementation of online transaction monitoring, the online categorization of mobile money accounts, digital financial crime checks, digital validation of customer identities, and the continuous review and updating of mobile money guidelines.

High commitment work system and firm performance: impact of psychological capital and environmental uncertainty

Our study of a northern China sample of CEOs, middle managers and frontline employees matched across 114 firms investigates the relationship between a high commitment work system and firm performance from an organizational perspective by considering the mediating role of collective psychological capital (PsyCap) and the moderating role of environmental uncertainty. The effect of a high commitment work system on firm performance was fully mediated by collective PsyCap, while environmental uncertainty moderated the effect of collective PsyCap on firm performance such that firm performance was stronger when environmental uncertainty was higher. We contribute to the developing body of work using collective PsyCap as a mediator for the high commitment work system–performance relationship at the organizational level. Our selection of environmental uncertainty as a moderator responds to the call for research on potential moderators and more consideration of context. We discuss our study's managerial implications and limitations.

The impact of perceived innovativeness on maintaining a buyer–seller relationship in health care markets: A cross-cultural study

This article focuses on the importance of perceived innovativeness, as well as corporate reputation, for the buyer–seller relationship and, therefore, enhances previous studies of customer satisfaction and loyalty. A conceptual model is extended within the commitment–trust framework. A set of research propositions is evaluated using data from three Western markets (Finland, Germany, and Spain) and the Russian transition economy. Our study enlarges existing models on service quality expectations and customer satisfaction in business-to-business (B2B) marketing, and challenges the importance of innovativeness and corporate reputation. We find that expectations in products and services impact the perceived value for money in Russia and Germany only. The perceived innovativeness of the vendors turns out to be relevant in three out of four cultures. Among our study's managerial implications is that the values in exchange are clearly related to the cultural values of the customers. Hence, not only the concept of utility, but also the concepts of value in use and values in exchange need cultural embedded marketing interpretations. Also, we derive a set of rules of thumb to guide practitioners in improving their business.
