PRAGMALINGUISTIC STUDY OF INNOVATIVE PROCESSES IN MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY

This article examines the pragmatic and linguistic aspects of everyday processes in medical terminology, providing detailed information on pragma linguistics, which is considered a very relevant field in linguistics. Medical terminology is a highly specialized field that is constantly evolving to keep up with advances in medical science and technology. The study of innovative processes in medical terminology includes the analysis of how new terms are created, adopted, and integrated into the medical lexicon. This article examines the role of pragmatics in shaping the use and understanding of medical terminology, as well as the linguistic strategies used to create and disseminate new terms within the medical community.

ИННОВАЦИИ В ЛЕСНОМ И ЛЕСОПРОМЫШЛЕННОМ КОМПЛЕКСЕ: АНАЛИЗ ЛИТЕРАТУРЫ В SCOPUS И WEB OF SCIENCE

Innovation is gaining more and more attention in the scientific community, and the study of innovation processes has become an advanced field of scientific and practice-oriented research. This article provides a systematic literature review of journal articles on innovation in forestry and the forestry industry. We include international, English-language, peer-reviewed scientific articles included in the scientific databases Scopus and Web of Science since the 1980s. Our search for articles that specifically mention “innovation/innovation” and “forest/timber/timber” from a social science perspective resulted in 230 studies. Our analysis provides a quantitative overview of institutional contexts, scientific fields, methods and thematic areas. Based on qualitative content analysis, we also describe the historical development of the research area, summarize the main ideas on central research topics at the firm and system level, and illustrate the state of knowledge in selected areas of innovation. In general, established concepts and approaches based on innovation research are well accepted in forest sector innovation research, although new trends could be used more progressively. The articles analyzed use a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods and are dominated by country and (sub) sectoral case studies. A greater variety of methods could enrich the knowledge base, and more cross-country and sectoral benchmarking could confirm previous findings.

Understanding the essence of the nature of innovation and the study of innovation processes in the tourism sector contributes to its development, and therefore to the satisfaction of the growing needs of consumers. The article analyzes the definitions that illustrate the main approaches to the interpretation of the concept of "innovation in tourism" by Ukrainian and foreign scientists. It was established that today there is no single approach to the interpretation of the concept of "innovation in tourism". Systematization of scientific and methodical approaches to understanding the essence of "innovation in tourism" as an economic category made it possible to single out the most significant areas of research conveying its meaning. The main trends of innovations in tourism according to the Oslo Manual are highlighted in the areas of: product, process, marketing and organizational innovations. It was established that there is no single approach to the classification of innovations for the tourism sector, which is due to its specificity and the attempt of scientists to accurately identify the object of innovation, since it determines all subsequent innovative activity and its effectiveness. Attention is focused on the fact that in order for the enterprise to obtain the planned result from the implementation of innovations, it is necessary to have the appropriate innovation potential. The list of expected results from conducting innovative activities by enterprises in the tourism sector is given. Incorrect assessment of innovation potential and the innovation strategy developed on its basis is the main cause of risks in innovation activity. The main factors that have a negative impact on the introduction of innovations in the tourism sector have been determined. It has been proven that the development and implementation of innovations is an integral condition for the creation of competitive advantages by enterprises in the tourism sector. Understanding the course of innovation processes in the tourism sector makes it possible to assess the influence of all factors, and a comprehensive approach to solving issues related to financing, training personnel, conducting scientific research, state support, development of a regulatory and legal framework, etc. is a catalyst for the implementation of innovation processes in tourism sector.

АВТОРСЬКІ ЛЕКСИЧНІ НОВОТВОРИ ВІДФРАЗЕМНОГО ПОХОДЖЕННЯ В УКРАЇНСЬКІЙ ПОЕЗІЇ

The study of innovative processes and phenomena in language is always relevant. A peculiar group of innovations consists of author’s neologisms of phraseological derivation origin, which demonstrate the close relationship between lexical and phraseological levels of language. The proposed article analyzes the ways of appearance, methods of creation, semantic features of the author’s neologisms of phraseological derivation origin, clarifies the features of their use and functioning in the poetic text. The terms “author’s neologisms of phraseological derivation”, and “author’s phraseological derivations” are used as synonyms. The main ways of creating author’s phraseological derivations are described: prefix-suffix, basic compounding, juxtaposition, merging. The most productive way to create author’s neologisms of phraseological derivation origin is compounding in combination with a suffixation. It has been found that poetic speech most often uses phraseological derivations neologisms with the following semes: ‘character trait’, ‘mind’, ‘emotional state’, ‘space’, ‘time’. It is observed that most of the author’s phraseological derivations are created based on phrasemes of folk origin. Some author’s neologisms, which arose because of structural modification of established expressions from the Old and New Testaments and from ancient myths, were also revealed. It is stated that the main reason for the emergence of phraseological derivation neologisms in artistic speech is the desire to influence the emotions of readers.

СУТЬ ТА ОСОБЛИВОСТІ ІННОВАЦІЙ В СІЛЬСЬКОМУ ГОСПОДАРСТВІ

The article analyses modern interpretations of scientists regarding the essence of agro-innovations, the author's definition of this definition is given. The main features of innovative activity in agriculture studied, because non-man-made products of nature – plants, animals, territory, climate, weather – considered the leading resources for the production of agricultural products. In connection with the special biological, natural-historical and socio-demographic nature of agriculture, innovative processes in the agrarian sphere manifest themselves in a specific way, which determines the uniqueness of the approaches and methods of managing innovative processes, the combination of different types of innovations, and the strengthening of the role of the state in stimulating innovations. It noted that the specifics of the agricultural sector is that the development of innovative technologies in the industry is slower. It emphasized that innovative activity in agriculture has a heterogeneous nature. This is due to the different economic and financial situation of the areas of agriculture and their different innovative potential. The process of innovative development is not linear and depends on various circumstances. It noted that an effective combination of internal and external incentives, which will increase the interest of business structures in the implementation of innovations, could be particularly significant motives for the active implementation of innovative activities. Moreover, the innovative way of development objectively requires significant investments. Therefore, identifying real factors that can hinder or promote innovative activity is an important direction in the study of innovative processes. It noted that the innovative path of development objectively requires significant investments, and therefore the state should support innovatively active agricultural producers in every possible way. The following mechanisms for the formation of financial resources for innovation proposed, such as postponement of tax payments for expenses for innovation purposes, preferential income taxation.

Digital innovation: transforming research and practice

ABSTRACT There is no doubt that digital technologies are spawning ongoing innovation across most if not all sectors of the economy and society. In this essay, we take stock of the characteristics of digital technologies that give rise to this new reality and introduce the papers in this special issue. In addition, we also highlight the unprecedent opportunities that digital innovation provides to study innovation processes more generally. Overall, we conclude that the speed, observability, and relative ease in investigating relationships between multiple analytical levels, mean that digital innovation is both a ‘model of’ that also provides a ‘model for’ the study of innovation processes more broadly in non-digital and hybrid contexts.

The Social Innovation Potential of the Northern Hungarian Region

Abstract In the last two decades, a new direction has appeared in the study of innovation processes in the literature. Researchers are paying more and more attention to social innovation beside the classical Schumpeterian approach. Social innovation is new solutions (product, technology, organizational solution) that can effectively meet market needs that are not or hardly met on a market basis, innovation can lead to new or more advanced skills / relationships, and contribute to a more efficient use of resources. However, there is no uniform definition of the concept. The issue of social innovation is particularly important in the case of the Northern Hungary region, because it can bring hope for some peripheral areas and a new approach to solving problems. High technological innovation potential and performance do not necessarily go hand in hand with high social innovation activity, so in the case of peripheral regions there is a hope for social innovations even in the absence of technological innovations.

Technological approach to the formation of innovative tourism complex in higher education institutions

The article reveals the technological approach to the formation of an innovative tourism complex in higher education institutions. It is determined that tourism is considered a global socio-economic phenomenon of the modern world. The relevance of the study of innovative processes of tourism is dictated by practical and scientific considerations. Practical recommendations for the introduction of innovative approaches to tourism during physical education are offered. It is established that the decrease in physical activity is one of the main reasons for the deterioration of students' health. It is confirmed that the introduction of new means of physical culture in the process of physical education of students is one of the promising areas for improving physical education in higher education.
 Today, tourism is rightly considered a global socio-economic phenomenon of the modern world. The relevance of the study of innovative processes of tourism is dictated by practical and scientific considerations.
 In practical terms, the tourism industry is developing rapidly, development reserves are used for tourism activities, which need a new impetus, in search of innovations to justify their positions in the competition. Organizations take especially big risks when implementing strategic guidelines. Ukrainian tourism, forming its own path, requires consideration of new modern innovative approaches, including the training of specialists in the field of tourism.
 Theoretically, the development of innovation attracts special attention of researchers for a number of reasons.

Innovative processes and modernization in the agroindustrial complex of the Russian Federation: results and prospects

This article outlines the results of the study of innovative processes and modernization of the agroindustrial complex in the Russian Federation, determined by Russia joining the World Trade Organization, strengthening of the food crisis, and other worldwide processes. We have considered and analyzed the facts and features determining innovation and modernization tendencies of agroindustrial production in the Russian Federation, and revealed the problems occurring during introduction of innovations and various knowledge-intensive designs. In addition, we considered the possibilities for modernization of the agroindustrial complex depending on the type of agricultural activity, and outlined possible ways of overcoming the difficulties over the course of innovative processes and the modernization of Russian agriculture, taking into account modern sociopolitical and economic realities and requirements. At the same time, the study provides an analysis of statistical data that clearly substantiate the state of modern agriculture in the Russian Federation and the prospects for its development. Moreover, the article reflects the issues of the formation and implementation of the state policy in innovation and modernization, highlights its main approaches and objectives, the implementation of which will allow avoiding the impact of the global food crisis and ensuring the food security of the Russian Federation.

Employee Innovation Process: An Integrative Model

Enormous research has focused on investigating innovation process in organisations but only a few are devoted to employee innovation process, thus limiting our understanding of how to organise, foster and successfully manage employee innovation process in organisation. Drawing from the literature, this study extends the two-phase model of innovation process comprising creativity and innovation by proposing a three-phase employee innovation process model that integrates innovation adoption. Using stratified sampling technique and structured questionnaires, data were collected from 430 middle managers of four mobile telecommunication companies in Nigeria. Results of the regression and path analyses to test the hypotheses and model fit support a revised three-phase employee innovation process model showing that employee creativity has direct causal effect on employee innovation and employee innovation adoption, and employee innovation has direct causal effect on employee innovation adoption. Dispositional factors have stronger direct causal effect on employee creativity than contextual factors and contextual factors have stronger direct causal effects on employee innovation than dispositional factors. Both dispositional and contextual factors have similar direct causal effects on employee innovation adoption, though dispositional factors have a stronger causal effects. The study has provided new, empirically based insights into the study of innovation process from employee unit of analysis by extending the innovation process with adoption as a phase concluding the innovation process. Implications for theory and practice are discussed.

Organizational and technological cycle of life of a construction object

During the life cycle, the state of an object is modified. The information for stepwise and phased study of innovation processes is characterized as local and torn in time, while the life cycle approach regards the process of creating and developing technological innovations as a dynamically synchronized system. The development of organizational and technological systems is being implemented in two directions: the improvement of basic and the creation of fundamentally new technologies. The life cycles of all objects, processes and systems are built on one info graphic model: any life cycle begins with the birth, passes through the stages of growth, maturity, decay and decline. Therefore, it is advisable to consider the innovative investment and construction life cycle of an object as a combination of a series of successive stages (cycles). They are sub-cycles during the period from the beginning of the idea of the initial design and construction of an object until the demolition, complete disassembly, disposal of construction and demolition waste (CDW) and non-recyclable parts of them.

THEORETICAL BASES OF THE INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY OF THE CANNING ENTERPRISE RESEARCH

It is considered the essence of the terms of innovations and innovative activity of the canning industry enterprise, on example of enterprises of the Ukrainian Black Sea region. It is improved the classification of types of innovations and innovative processes for canning enterprises, by allocating relevant classification groups, that are actual in the aspect of modern scientific and practical approaches. The economic essence of the category of innovative susceptibility of enterprises is determined. According to the modern requirements and challenges that arise in the process of transformation of the national economic system it is determined the need of update of the theoretical basis for the study of innovation processes, and it is proved the necessity of formulation of the objective definitions and classifications of innovations, of the types of innovation activities that make key-point in the research process of the current realities of economic development. As a result of the research of various types and definitions of innovations, it is established that the most important for the analyzing process of innovations for enterprises in the canning industry are such classifications, which are based on the degree of participation in the production process (production and non-productive innovations: administrative, in other processes of internal management, in the processes of supply-sales, in circulation processes, financial services), on the functional purpose of innovations (production and technological, personnel, economic, logistic, marketing, financial, investment, infrastructure innovations). The definition of innovations for canning enterprises is given in the article, it is developed the classification of types of innovation for the canning enterprise that is oriented on objective features and distinguishes of the innovation process, which is actually carried out by domestic enterprises that allows to take into account the aspect of actuality.

Methodology for determination of parameters for welding MIG with variable polarity1

The development of electronic power sources for welding has allowed the study of innovative processes, generally with the objective of improving the capacity of production linked to low levels of thermal support. The existing processes are based on the metal transfer mode and on the development of wave forms that improve control of the process. The metal inert gas-variable polarity pulsed process is a derivative of the conventional metal inert gas process that combines the advantages of the use of positive polarity, such as good arc stability and cathode cleaning, with those given by negative polarity, principally the high fusion rate of the electrode and low thermal support to the base metal. However, this process has only found limited use due to the scarcity of technical and scientific publications. As a result, this work sets out a proposal for a methodology to determine welding parameters in four different wave formats and varying the negative electrode rate across three levels in a way that provided arc and metal transfer stability, the evaluation of the process was carried out by filming the arc and analysing the geometric characteristics of the weld bead. The method was shown to be sufficiently efficient with satisfactory stability results.

Information and Communication Technology development in Tanzania: a case study of innovation processes

Sustainable and scalable Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects are rare in Sub Sahara Africa. Information System (IS) implementation theories are insufficient to explain apparently 'irrationalities' that limit implementation and sustainability. This study analyses a rare success story. A municipality on the East Coast of Africa innovated successfully with ICT in a sustainable way. This case is untangled and analysed over a six years period, based on interviews, documentation and direct observation. Based on an interpretive approach of Constructive Technology Assessment, the main processes were identified that contributed to success. These processes are well recognised in innovation management. The consistent framework of processes it generates to explain ICT based innovation, opens up possibilities to influence and synchronise these processes and to increase the chances of success for ICT projects. The study concludes with drawing implications for IS research and the practise of development cooperation.

Innovation management in diversified corporations: Problems of organization

Developing a new product line or innovation within an ongoing line of business is a difficult undertaking, requiring unusual amounts of motivation, creativity, and the cooperation and trust of the persons involved. Corporate innovation processes often fail because of external factors, but more often because of internal ones, such as lack of support, insufficient preparation, or plain error. This article focuses upon internal risks of failure (“internal uncertainties”) resulting from disturbances in human relations and organizational behavior. The author proposes a concept of favorable positioning for the firm, and postulates that – other things being equal – the firm's favorable position tends to deteriorate naturally as the technology base of the firm ages (Wolfs Law of Progress). Corporate innovation processes take time. Hence, the preconditions for success of any single innovation within the firm may deteriorate faster than organized innovative activity can move on and seize the opportunity. For many firms this reported failure of seizing the market opportunities will eventually lead to an unmanageable, irreversible situation (“shake-out”). This article highlights the findings of an extensive exploratory, “clinical” field study of innovation processes in small, medium, and medium-large industrial firms in Berlin, Germany. Clinical research (usually preceding analytical research in a scientific enterprise such as “innovations research”) looks at “clinical syndromes” (Roethlisberger, 1977) of the type “under certain conditions, x seem to appear together with y” (rather than analyzing how x varies with y). Our clinical research reveals a set of clinical syndromes for the deterioration of the firm's position, and suggests some human resource management actions, such as participative strategy formulation, conflict resolution, and interface facilitation, which can turn the situation around and enhance the chances of success for corporate innovation processes.
