E-Module Teaching Materials Based on Heyzine Flipbook on the Meaning of NKRI for Grade IV Elementary School

Currently, there are still many students who do not understand the Pancasila and Citizenship Education learning material. This is due to the lack of digital learning media to facilitate students' independent learning of PPKn. This research aims to develop a Civics e-module based on the Heyzine flipbook on the Meaning of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) material for Class IV Elementary School. This type of research is R & D (Research and Development) development research. The development model in this research uses the ADDIE model. The research subjects were 1 media expert and 1 material expert. This small group trial was conducted on four students from class IV elementary school. The methods used to collect data are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The instruments used to collect data are validation sheets, questionnaire sheets, and test questions. The data analysis techniques used in this research are quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The research results, namely the assessment by material experts, obtained 87.50%, and media experts obtained a score of 84.09% with very good criteria. Evaluation of the effectiveness of use through the N-gain test obtained a score of 67.1% with moderate criteria, and the interpretation category was quite effective. Assessing responses via student questionnaires obtained an average score of 93% with very good criteria. It was concluded that e-modules are very suitable for use and can improve student learning outcomes in Pancasila and Citizenship Education subjects.

“I Feel Like a Real Chemist Right Now”: Epistemic Affect as a Fundamental Driver of Inquiry in the Chemistry Laboratory

ABSTRACTAffect and emotions matter to science learning. They also matter because they are integral to science identity formation and sense of belonging. This study aims to foreground the epistemic and affective character of laboratory work in higher science education by conceptualizing it as epistemic practice, in which students activate their body and mind in discursive processes of proposing, communicating, and evaluating knowledge. On this conceptualization is an emerging construct, “epistemic affect,” which refers to how one feels when engaging with epistemic practices. Several methods were used to provide triangulated evidence for student learning processes and lived experiences in the chemistry laboratory. Students were observed and interviewed using custom protocols based on previously validated works. The empirical materials consist of audio recordings and transcripts of focus group interviews, audio and video recordings of students doing an experiment in analytical chemistry, verbatim transcripts of utterances and non‐verbal cues, as well as instructional artifacts (laboratory manuals, textbooks, and reports). Key findings from the study reveal a range of epistemic emotions experienced by students, including curiosity, frustration, and joy, which are intertwined with their engagement in experimental work and exploration of scientific principles. The study also identifies affective constructs such as confidence, pride, and humility, which contribute to students’ identity development within the context of laboratory‐related epistemic practices. These affective experiences are situated in the embodied nature of laboratory work, where failures and mistakes are common, but also serve as opportunities for learning. The research underscores the importance of recognizing and addressing the affective dimensions of learning in the chemistry laboratory. It suggests that fostering positive epistemic emotions and resolving negative ones can enhance students’ learning experiences and engagement with science. The study calls for a more holistic approach to chemistry education that acknowledges the role of emotion in laboratory‐related epistemic practices.

The Influence of a Realistic Mathematical Approach on Student Learning in Elementary Schools

This study investigates the impact of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach on students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes in elementary schools. The research employs a literature review method by analyzing findings from previous studies, including experimental and quasi-experimental designs. The RME approach, characterized by its emphasis on real-world problems and contextual learning, enables students to connect mathematical concepts with practical applications, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Various studies indicate that students using the RME approach exhibit significantly improved critical thinking skills compared to those taught using conventional methods. For example, one study showed an increase in the average critical thinking score from 63.29 to 80.29, with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, confirming the approach's effectiveness. Additionally, students demonstrated the ability to apply mathematical formulas in daily life and actively engage in learning activities, leading to higher academic achievement. The analysis highlights three key aspects of the RME approach: its ability to transform abstract concepts into relatable experiences, its adaptability to diverse student needs, and its effectiveness in promoting active participation. These attributes make RME a viable alternative for improving mathematics education in elementary schools. In conclusion, the RME approach provides a practical and effective solution for enhancing students' critical thinking skills and mathematical understanding, bridging the gap between theory and real-world application. This study recommends integrating the RME approach into mathematics curricula to achieve more meaningful and engaging learning experiences for elementary students.

THE STATION ROTATION METHODOLOGY

The active methodologies to ensure teaching learning, are pedagogical approaches that seek to involve students actively in the learning process, promoting the construction of knowledge in a more significant and participatory way. The active methodology by revolutions consists of a learning approach in which students are divided into small groups and work in stations of different activities. Each station usually contains a specific task or design for students to perform within a certain period of time. After this period, students move to the next season and so on, until they have passed all the stations. The research was conducted with a 7th grade class of elementary school from a municipal school located in the rural area of ​​Vianópolis, Goiás. The data collection was due to the observation of the students during the activities and a questionnaire that they answered after the application of methodology. The results indicate that the use of this methodology promotes a stimulus to discussion, creation and reflection on the content addressed, making the students protagonists of their learning. The activity allowed students to work independently and collaboratively, exploring different themes, skills and aspects of content. In addition, it promoted students' active engagement and learning autonomy. Attitudes such as providing listening to students, valuing their opinions, exercising empathy, answering questions, encouraging them, among others, were observed and favoring the creation of a favorable environment for teaching learning. The structure of the Station Methodology by rotation is flexible and should be adapted according to the learning needs and objectives of each discipline and class. The important thing is that students have the opportunity to actively interact with content and develop collaborative, reflective and criticism

What Affects Teachers’ Use of Technology: Teachers’ Beliefs Regarding Technology, Teachers’ Technological Skills, or Available Sources of Support?

Many studies have examined teachers’ use of technology, but not many have examined what factors promote such use. The current study examines the effect of several factors on use of technology by teachers. A questionnaire on this topic was given to 120 male and female teachers from Israel. It was found that teachers’ beliefs on the effectiveness of use of technology in education, as well as support for such use from parents of school students, promotes teachers’ use of technology in education. Teachers’ technological knowledge and skills, support from the school management and from Education Ministry supervisors, and the availability of technological support were not found to promote teachers’ use of technology in education. Conducting programs and workshops that will educate teachers on the usefulness of technology in education and promote parent–teacher cooperation is recommended. The study may greatly help to promote the use of technology in teaching and education, which may greatly improve student learning.

Application Of Problem Based Learning Model In Civics Learning On Central Government Structure Material In Grade IV Of Pabelan Kartasura State Elementary School

This research is entitled "Application of the Problem Based Learning Model in Civics Learning on Central Government Structure Material Class IV Sdn Pabelan Kartasura" This research aims to analyze the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in Civics Education (PKn) learning on Central Government Structure material in class IV SDN Pabelan, Kartasura. This research is motivated by the need to increase students' active participation and in-depth understanding of abstract material. The PBL model also encourages students to be more active in discussing, working together, and solving problems independently or in groups. The research results show that the application of the PBL model can increase student involvement in the learning process, critical thinking skills, and student learning outcomes. The research methods used are direct observation in class, interviews with teachers, and documentation. The observation results show that Civics learning in class IV at SDN Pabelan 03 has been implemented in accordance with the learning plan prepared. Teachers use lecture, question and answer and group discussion methods to improve students' understanding of the material. Learning evaluation is carried out through written tests and student attitude assessments. Obstacles found included limited time and lack of student involvement in several discussion activities. The conclusion from this observation is that Civics learning at SDN Pabelan 03 has gone well, but innovation is needed in learning methods and media to improve the quality of learning.

Problems in Teaching Russian to Foreign Medical Students Studying in an Intermediary Language (Using the Example of Iranian Students)

The article examines the problems in teaching the Russian language that teachers face when working with medical students studying in an intermediary language. The early stage of language learning for such students causes the greatest difficulty, therefore, the importance of increased attention and the search for additional teaching methods in order to introduce diversity into the learning process and increase motivation to learn is emphasized. The ways of solving such difficulties based on the analysis of their occurrence are proposed. For students whose Russian is not the main language of instruction, the issue of motivation causes the greatest difficulties. The author notes the great role of communication between teachers and students in increasing motivation to study. The issue of the lack of specialized textbooks for such a category of students is also being considered, which significantly affects the effectiveness of the educational process. In addition, the author raises the question of how much a language teacher should know about the material of a medical specialty. Since the main purpose of teaching medical students is the development of early professionalization, a Russian teacher is a guide to mastering medical terminology from scratch, therefore he must know the material to a minimum extent. But in practice, many universities lack the necessary training of teachers and the necessary measures for professional development in the specialty.

Upaya Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran IPAS Menggunakan Media Ular Tangga Berbasis Digital di Kelas V SDN 101766 Bandar Setia

This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of students in Magnet material using digital-based snake and ladder media in grade V of SD Negeri 101766 Bandar Setia. The method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which consists of 4 stages of activities in each cycle consisting of action planning, implementation of actions, observation/data collection and finally reflection. The subjects in this study are 24 students in class V of SD Negeri 101766 Bandar Setia. The instruments used in this study are multiple-choice test questions as many as 10 questions and an assessment rubric. The data collection technique uses direct observation techniques and uses quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of the research from the implementation of two cycles, where in the pre-cycle stage obtained student learning outcomes with an average of 65.83, then carried out the first cycle obtained a learning outcome score with an average of 75.42 which increased from pre-cycle to cycle I of 9.59. Finally, conducting cycle II obtained a learning outcome score of 82.08 which increased from cycle I to cycle II of 6.66. It can be concluded that the use of digital-based snake and ladder media can improve students' social science learning outcomes

Instructor's Emotional Intelligence Improves Pilot Student's Achievement at Akademi Penerbang Indonesia Banyuwangi

This study investigates the impact of Instructor Emotional Intelligence (IEI) on Pilot Student's Academic Achievement (PSA) at the Indonesian Aviation Academy in Banyuwangi. A quantitative approach using a survey method was employed to collect data from 20 pilot students selected through purposive sampling. The main research instrument was a questionnaire designed to measure relevant variables, which was validated for reliability and accuracy. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the SmartPLS 3 software, allowing for examination within a small sample and complex model structure. The findings indicate a significant relationship between instructor emotional intelligence and pilot student academic achievement. Indicators such as emotion management, empathy, and instructor motivation contribute positively to enhancing pilot students' academic performance. The loading factor and path coefficient values suggest that IEI has a strong influence on PSA, highlighting that students are more motivated and prepared to face academic challenges when guided by emotionally intelligent instructors. This study underscores the importance of instructors’ emotional skills in creating a supportive learning environment that can foster increased motivation and academic achievement among students. It recommends that aviation education institutions consider implementing emotional intelligence training for instructors to improve the quality of education and student learning outcomes.

Bagaimanakah Dampak Analisis Kebutuhan Dasar Siswa Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa di SMA Islam NU Pujon pada Mata Pelajaran Kimia?

A safe and comfortable school is a school that is able to foster students' intrinsic motivation through a positive culture, namely by meeting the basic needs of students as the basis for determining an appropriate learning model to get learning outcomes that meet the KKM. This study aims to determine the impact of the analysis of students' basic needs on the achievement of learning outcomes, especially in chemistry subjects at SMA Islam NU Pujon. The sample of the basic needs analysis research is 398 students of NU Pujon Islamic High School for the 2024/2025 school year and the research sample for student learning outcomes for chemistry subjects is classes XI-4 and XII-2 with a mixed method explanatory design research method. The results of the study were obtained that the results of the analysis of the basic needs of NU Pujon Islamic High School students for the 2024/2025 school year with the need for pleasure 25.7%, the need for affection and acceptance 25.4%, the need for freedom 23.5%, and the need for power 25.4%. The average student learning outcomes for chemistry subjects were obtained in class Xl-4 of 77.9 and XII-2 of 79.22. The findings showed that the learning outcomes of students for Chemistry in the two classes were above the school KKM

THE USE OF VIDEO YOUTUBE TO IMPROVE STUDENTS ENGLISH VOCABULARY AT SMK MITRA NUSANTARA KOTA BEKASI IN ACADEMIC 2023/2024

English is a global language that serves as a link between different parts of the world. Rich vocabulary and mastery of sentence structure are two of the many important elements in learning English. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of using YouTube videos in improving students' vocabulary and learning motivation in learning English. The method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) involving cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 28 students of class XI of Light Vehicle Engineering at SMK Mitra Nusantara in the academic year 2023/2024. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and initial and final tests. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that there was an increase in students' active participation and an increase in vocabulary scores. The pre-test average score of 59.64 increased to 70.07 in the cycle 1 post-test, and to 80.39 in the cycle 2 post-test. The number of students who met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) increased from 10 students in the pre-test, to 18 students in cycle 1, and 24 students in cycle 2. The findings indicate that the use of YouTube videos as learning media is more effective than conventional methods in improving students' English vocabulary. The researcher suggests that teachers consider the integration of audio-visual media such as YouTube videos in English language learning to improve students' learning outcomes.

Factors Influencing Student Learning Outcomes through Learning Motivation: A Case Study at A University in Vietnam

The study analyzes the factors affecting students' learning outcomes through learning motivation with a case study conducted at Nam Can Tho University. The research has developed a model incorporating six main factors: learning methods, family and friends, teaching methods, training program, facilities, and learning motivation. A mixed research approach was employed, integrating both qualitative and quantitative methods. A survey of 300 students was conducted to validate the hypotheses and research model. The structural equation model (SEM) analysis using SmartPls 4.0 indicated that the training program, family and friends, teaching methods, facilities, and learning methods positively influenced students' learning motivation. Among these, the training program had the most substantial impact, and learning motivation played a training program mediating role in improving students' learning outcomes. The findings are expected to enhance educational policies at Nam Can Tho University, aiming to foster student motivation and learning outcomes, thereby improving the quality of human resource training.

Quality Teaching in Ekiti State Secondary Schools: An Application of Ordinal Logistic Regression

This study investigates the quality of teaching in secondary schools in Ekiti State, Nigeria, using ordinal logistic regression to examine the impact of teacher demographics and teaching practices on student performance. The research focuses on teachers from six selected secondary schools within Ado-Ekiti, comprising a sample of 295 educators. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered via Google Forms and shared on WhatsApp platforms of the respondents. The study analyzes factors such as age, gender, educational background, teaching experience, lesson planning, technology integration, teaching methods, assessment practices, feedback provision, and professional development. Descriptive statistics and ordinal logistic regression were employed to assess the significance of these variables on student performance outcomes. Results indicate that older teachers and female educators positively influence student performance, while frequent integration of technology and rigid lesson planning negatively impact outcomes. The study also finds that regular feedback and active student participation significantly enhance performance. However, attending professional development workshops and the availability of teaching resources showed unexpected negative associations with student performance, suggesting potential issues with the applicability or effectiveness of these resources and training. The study highlights the importance of adaptive teaching methods, supportive administrative practices, and active student engagement in improving educational quality. These findings provide valuable insights for policy makers and educators aiming to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning in secondary schools in Ekiti State.

Exploration and Practice of a Graded, Flat, and Flexible Teaching Model for Cultivating Cyber Defense and Offense Capabilities

In alignment with the educational requirements for the multifaceted nature of knowledge, the comprehensiveness of skills, the adversarial nature of practice, and the specificity of thinking in cyber defense and offense capabilities, this paper adopts a student-centric pedagogical philosophy. Guided by educational theories such as constructivism, connectivism, and group dynamics, we have established a graded, flat, and flexible teaching model. This model is characterized by a progressively challenging teaching framework, the construction of contextually linked case scenarios through a flat knowledge network, the organization of a multidimensional and elastic teaching process, and the support of skill training through multimodal hybrid collaboration. It synergistically transforms the relationship between teaching and learning across four dimensions: framework structure, content arrangement, process organization, and training methods. This systematic shift has led to a significant increase in the knowledge capacity and diversity of the curriculum, an optimization of the flexibility and adaptability of teaching organization, an enhancement of students' understanding and learning capabilities, an improvement in students' comprehensive skills and practical combat effectiveness, and the stimulation of innovative thinking and specific cognitive traits.

Making the Data Visible: A Systematic Review of Systems-Level Data Dashboards for Leadership and Policy in Education

Systems-level data dashboards, those that provide education data aggregated to or used by leaders from school to state to federal levels, have become increasingly prevalent in the field of education both in the United States and in many education systems worldwide. This study provides a systematic review of the literature on systems-level data dashboards in K–12 schooling. The review demonstrates that research on systems-level dashboards lags that of student and teacher-focused learning analytics dashboards; that academic achievement remains the primary focus of dashboards, but contextual and non-test-score outcomes are now included in many dashboards and that use of dashboards by educators and the public is lower than desired but may be improved through alternative dissemination methods. It also demonstrates that research on the impacts of dashboards is particularly limited, a concern given the potential for unintended negative consequences. The article discusses the need to further incorporate systems-level dashboards into the organizational structures of education systems in order to enhance their utility for improving outcomes. The findings provide insights for stakeholders designing and using dashboards and hold the potential to improve dashboard use and student outcomes.

Behavioral Intentions and Academic Outcomes of Using Social Media in Nepalese Higher Education

The purpose of this study was to close the knowledge gaps about how college students’ use of social media impacts their capacity for cooperation and communication. To gather data, 250 university students were given a questionnaire survey on constructivism theory, technology acceptance model, and communication theory. Even though male students were not entirely satisfied with peer contact for collaborative learning, the behavioral intention results of students to use social media for online communication and collaborative learning reveal a beneficial effect on their academic efforts in higher education institutions. As a result, we need to have urged students to use social media for learning through their instructors at universities. Master’s degree students are less in agreement with the performance improvements made by social media. According to the study, social media and cooperative learning enhance student learning activities and enable them to exchange ideas, information, and expertise.

Analisis Kesalahan Berbahasa pada Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi Siswa Kelas 8 SMPN 20 Tasikmalaya berdasarkan Kategori Fonologi

When conducting research, many language errors were found in the writing of observation reports in class 8A of SMP 20 Tasikmalaya. The approach used is descriptive qualitative combined with language error analysis theory. Research data on student learning outcomes is in the form of 36 texts. Data was collected using interview and observation techniques. The research results showed that there were 25 students who made mistakes and 11 students who did not make mistakes, especially at the phonological level. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of success of students in writing observation report texts.

Analisis Kesulitan Belajar Akademik Siswa-Siswi SMAN 13 Surabaya

Academic learning difficulties are a challenge that is often found and faced by students when studying at school and at home. Internal factors such as motivation, ability, cognitive, and there are external factors such as family environment, teacher teaching methods, learning facilities and also teacher support are also important to determine the success of student learning. This study aims to analyze various forms of students' academic learning difficulties at school and at home, as well as understand the influence of the environment on the success of students' learning. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews with teachers and questionnaires involving students, observations are carried out in the school environment of SMAN 13 SURABAYA. The results of the study showed that students of SMAN 13 SURABAYA had diverse learning disabilities, learning difficulties that were felt included students having difficulty concentrating, sleepiness during lunch, teachers who lacked in explaining material and unconducive classroom conditions. In the questionnaire data that I got, most of the students had difficulty in understanding the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, English and Chemistry. This can affect the academic performance of students. The academic learning difficulties of SMAN 13 Surabaya students are caused by the interaction between internal and external factors. To overcome learning difficulties in students, efforts can be made such as strengthening learning strategies by teachers, improving learning facilities, and active involvement of parents in supporting the learning process of students.

PENGARUH LITERASI MEMBACA TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VIII MATA PELAJARAN ILMU PENGETAHUAN SOSIAL DI SMP NEGERI 34 KOTA BEKASI

This research aims to determine the effect of reading literacy on the learning achievement of eighth-grade students in the subject of Social Sciences (IPS) at SMP Negeri 34 in Bekasi City. In this study, the method used is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The sampling technique used is random sampling taken from the total population of class VIII A-I randomly, with a total sample of 79 students. The analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination test in the model summary show an R square value of 0.135, which means that the influence of reading literacy on student learning achievement is 13.5%. The theoretical and practical implications suggest that by developing reading materials, schools should ensure the availability of relevant and engaging reading sources to enhance reading literacy activities at SMP Negeri 34 in Bekasi City. This research makes a significant contribution to the understanding of the critical role of reading skills in improving the academic performance of eighth-grade students in Social Studies
