Profil Kemampuan Literasi Lingkungan Siswa Kelas VIII dalam Pembelajaran IPA

This research aims to determine the profile of environmental literacy abilities of class VIII students in learning science at SMP Negeri 5 Demak. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The population in this study were all class VIII students with a sample size of 167 class VIII students at SMP Negeri 5 Demak. Sampling used the proportionate random sampling technique, and determining the number of samples used the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5%. Data collection methods use tests, observation, interviews and documentation. The test given uses an environmental literacy questionnaire based on MSELS (Middle School Environmental Literacy Survey). The research results show that in general the environmental literacy level of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 5 Demak is classified as good at 89% with an average score of 66.64. Good literacy test results are supported by school management regarding a good environmental literacy program, the biology learning process in applying environmental literacy concepts, the school's vision, mission and goals which support the implementation of a literacy-based school, and school infrastructure which is able to support literacy activities. student environment.

Implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Strategies and Field Visit Techniques to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in Biotechnology Materials

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model and Field Visit Techniques in Biotechnology learning for class IXC students of SMP Negeri 7 Sukabumi City in the 2022/2023, in terms of: (1) student learning motivation, (2) student learning outcomes in biotechnology learning by using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning models and Field Visit Techniques. The research population was 25 class IXC students. The instruments used were student activity observation sheets and learning achievement tests. The data analysis technique uses a comparative descriptive analysis of test results between cycles with predetermined work indicators. The research results show that the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model in science learning for class IXC students at SMP Negeri 7 Kota Sukabumi in the 2022/2023 academic year is effectively applied in learning. This research has obtained information regarding the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model in biotechnology learning for students in IXC class, SMP Negeri 7 Sukabumi, in the 2022/2023 academic year.

ChatGPT for Teachers and Students in Science Learning: A Systematic Literature Review

In Indonesia Science education has not reached a portion that is in accordance with the needs of science education. Science learning should not only focus on knowledge but must also be balanced with application in everyday life. With this application, students will know that what they learn in science is applied and useful for life. That way, students will continue to try to experiment because of their high curiosity so that students are able to produce scientific products. Science problems are not only experienced by students, but teachers who teach science at school also have science problems they face. For this reason, Chat GPT (Generative Pre-Trainer Transformer) is used as one of the Open AI (Artificial Intelligence) innovations, a research company engaged in the development of artificial intelligence. The purpose of this research is to explain GPT Chat for Teachers and Students in Science Learning. A review is conducted on the state-of-the-art methods using the preferred reporting items for reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The results of this research show that Chat GPT has main functions, Chat GPT also has many uses for teachers and students, and science learning has five domains of science education, which must be supported by appropriate technological sophistication.

Remote experiments for STEM education and engagement in rural schools: The case of project R3

Rural schools tend not to have enough laboratory and experimentation equipment, which can be an obstacle that hinders student learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) areas. Moreover, this loss of competencies can reduce their employment opportunities while society itself is deprived of that human capital. Remote laboratories have emerged as a way of countering the effects of insufficient investment in equipment or the inability to acquire the latter. By way of example, the goal of Project R3, which is presented in this article, is to reduce the absence or shortage of laboratories in the rural world via the use of remote experimentation. Specifically, this article presents the experience, the results, and the main conclusions of Project R3 during its first year of life. It is worth noting that Project R3 has been deployed not only in rural but also in urban environments, making it possible to compare learning results and satisfaction levels for students in both spheres and identify those experiments that provide the best learning experience and are most popular among pupils and teachers. The main objective is that from the local analysis (the Project has only been conducted in Spain) it might be possible to draw conclusions of a global nature that might be extrapolated to other countries in the European Union with similar socio-demographics. Initial results are in the direction of certifying that student achievement and satisfaction are higher in rural than in urban environments.

Elementary School Students' Metacognitive Awareness: PBL Study with HPC Strategy in Science Learning

The results of previous studies show that biological science learning for elementary school students is in the sufficient category. This is because teachers do not familiarize students with being trained in high-level thinking in the form of life skills, namely metacognitive awareness. Therefore, effective strategies are needed to increase students' metacognitive awareness. One model that can increase students' metacognitive awareness is the problem-based learning (PBL) model with the homogeneity psychocognition (HPC) strategy. The aim of the research is to analyze differences in elementary school students' metacognitive awareness in learning biological science using the PBL model, PBL with HPC strategies, and conventional models. This research used a quasi experiment with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The number of samples participating in the research was 155 students where sampling was carried out randomly. The instrument used was the metacognitive awareness inventory which was adapted from the Junior Metacognitive Inventory (Jr. MAI) by Sperling et al (2002). The inventory consists of 18 questions with 9 items each on the aspects of knowledge of cognition and regulation of cognition. The research results found that there were significant differences in metacognitive awareness in the PBL learning model, PBL with HPC strategies compared to conventional learning. This research recommends that teachers can optimize PBL, as well as PBL with HPC strategies in increasing students' metacognitive awareness.

The Effect of Using Ice Breaking on Learning Motivation of Elementary School Students in Learning Science

This research was conducted due to the low learning motivation of elementary school students in participating in class learning, especially in science learning. One of the causes of low learning motivation is the lack of interesting innovations in learning, so that students tend to get bored and bored in learning. This low motivation results in low scientific literacy abilities of students. This study aims to determine the effect of using ice breaking on students' learning motivation and scientific literacy abilities. This research was conducted in an elementary school in a district in West Sumatra. This type of research is quantitative in the form of a quasi-experimental design. The data analysis used quantitative analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test. Based on the pretest results, the average motivation score of the experimental class that applied Ice Breaking was 49.842 and the post-test motivation score of the experimental class was 82.631. Based on the results of hypothesis testing conducted with the Paired Sample T-Test, tcount = 3.8421 and ttable 2.028 with a significant level of 5%. Thus t'count = 3.8421 > ttable = 2.028, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using Ice Breaking on Learning Motivation of Elementary School Students in Learning Science.

The Influence of the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model and Learning Motivation on Student Science Learning Outcomes

This study aims to determine the effect of the model jigsaw cooperative learning and learning motivation on student learning outcomes class VI science subject at SD Inpres 2 Tidung. Researchers use the approach post test only control group design, which was carried out on 40 class VI students as a sample (object) of the researcher, consisting of 20 people as the experimental group and 20 people as the control group. For obtain data about learning outcomes using learning outcomes tests, while data about learning motivation using a learning motivation questionnaire. Data analysis using two-way analysis of variance and tukey (Q) test . The results of the study showed that (1) the students' learning outcomes in science were following the jigsaw cooperative learning model is higher than students who follow the conventional learning model, (2) students who have high learning motivation there is a difference in science learning outcomes between students who follow the jigsaw cooperative learning model with students who follow conventional learning models. (3) students who have learning motivation low there is a difference in science learning outcomes between students who follow the model jigsaw cooperative learning with students following the model conventional learning, and (4) there is an interaction effect between models learning by having learning motivation towards science learning outcomes.

THE INFLUENCE OF THE STEAM LEARNING MODEL ON MOTIVATION AND RESULTS IN SCIENCE LEARNING IN CLASS V STUDENTS

The study's objective was to determine how the STEAM Model affected fifth-graders at SDI Biringkaloro Gowa's science learning results and motivation. This type of research is essentially an experiment. In this study, the quasi-experimental design takes the shape of a quantitative study with the kind of quasi-experimental research, where the design has a control group but can't fully function to control outside factors that influence how the experiment is carried out. The experimental group and the control group were the two groups used in this investigation. There are 60 students involved as the sample in this study. The 30 students as experimental group or class will employ the STEAM learning model, while the control class which includes the other 30 students will conduct the learning without using the STEAM learning model. The data were investigated using statistical analysis techniques such as validity analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, and inferential statistical analysis. The data was processed using the IBM SPSS 27 application. Homogeneity, normality, and MANOVA hypothesis testing were among the tests performed. According to an examination of the Manova test findings, which indicated a significant value of 0.000, the STEAM learning model has an effect on the motivation and academic performance of fifth grade students at SDI Biringkaloro Gowa. H0 is rejected and Ha is acceptable if 0.000 0.05. This suggests that the STEAM learning paradigm's implementation at SDI Biringkaloro Gowa has a significant impact on students' motivation and science learning outcomes.

The Influence of Project-Based Learning Models on Critical Thinking Ability and Basic Science Learning Outcomes

The main objective of this study was to analyze: (1) better influence the outcomes of learning science students taught by Projek Based Learning learning model and model of Direct Instruction; and (2) better effect between critical thinking skills that are taught by Projek Based Learning learning model and model of Direct Instruction. This research is a quasi-experiment conducted in SD Negeri 064973 Medan. The population in this study were all 50 students of class VII, while the sample in this study were students of class VI-A total of 25 people with learning models Projek Based Learning, and students of class VI-B as many as 25 people with Direct Instruction models. The instrument used consisted of test learning outcomes to shape totaled 9 points and can test the reliability of 0,374 and totaled 18 items critical points and has a reliability of 0.831. Data analysis was performed using independent samples test t-aided assisted software SPSS 16.0 for windows. The result showed that: (1) the effect of the Project the based Learning learning model is better than the direct instruction model to learn science students' outcomes. It is based on the acquisition tcount of 2,892 scores greater than ttable of 2.060 and (2) the effect of the Project Based Learning learning model is better compared with the direct instruction learning model t the student's critical thinking skills. It is based on the acquisition score tcount of 2,944 greater than ttable of 2.060.

There are still a few simple teaching aids available for studying Pascal's law and hydrostatic pressure. The development of teaching aids in the form of a “mini dispenser” is intended to help students understand more in real terms and details related to Pascal's law and hydrostatic pressure. In addition, "mini dispenser" props from used goods can increase students' interest and motivation and so that learning is not abstract, so that student learning outcomes can increase. The mini dispenser model itself can be made from used or new goods. The data in this study were obtained from a questionnaire that measured the interest and motivation of students after using teaching aids. The participants involved in this study were 10 students. The results showed that the majority of students' interests and motivations were positive towards the developed teaching aids. The results of this survey indicate that the science teaching aid in the form of a mini dispenser is good from the aspect of stimulating the interest and motivation of students in science learning. Learning Motivation and Computational Thinking Ability of Elementary School Students in Learning Science

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in elementary schools, especially in science learning content. This study aims to: (1) analyze learning motivation and students' computational thinking skills in science learning; (2) knowing the relationship between learning motivation and computational thinking ability. This research method is a mixed method, namely research methods that communicate or combine quantitative methods and qualitative methods to be used together in a research activity. This research was conducted in Cluster II Koto Salak, which consists of five elementary schools and one Islamic elementary school. The number of students in grade V at SDa is 25 students for class A, and 26 students for class B, SD B has 26 students, SD C has 15 students, SD D has 10 students, and MI A has 21 students. So that the total number of research subjects is 123 students, plus 5 school principals, and 6 class teachers. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, observation, structured interviews, and documentation. The qualitative data analysis technique in this study is to use interactive data analysis, namely (1) data reduction; (2) Data presentation; (3) Drawing conclusions. Quantitative data analysis is the Pearson correlation test using SPSS. The results showed that the learning motivation and computational thinking abilities of students in cluster II Koto Salak were still low, on average, still below 30%. Pearson correlation test results Sig 0.00 <0.05 so that H1 is accepted, meaning that learning motivation and computational thinking ability have a correlation. The form of the correlation is positive with a value of 0.99 which is at the perfect relationship level.

APPLICATION PROBLEM-SOLVING LEARNING MODEL TO IMPROVE SCIENCE LEARNING OUTCOMES IN STUDENTS CLASS IV ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GMIM 7 TOMOHON

The research was conducted to improve science learning outcomes for fourth-grade students at GMIM 7 Tomohon Elementary School in the academic year 2022/2023, with a total of 33 students. This study used classroom action research (CAR) with four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection, which were applied in two cycles. In this study, observations and assessments were conducted by asking all students a series of written questions using Student Worksheets and Assessment Sheets. The data were analyzed using percentage calculations and the average learning outcomes achieved by the students. The initial data obtained showed that the students' science learning outcomes were 60%. The research results showed that the students' science learning outcomes experienced a significant improvement after implementing the problem-solving learning model. In Cycle I, there was an increase in learning outcomes to 70.15%. In Cycle II, the learning outcomes reached 90%. This research provides evidence of consistent improvement in the student's science learning outcomes from Cycle I to Cycle II. Based on the research findings and discussions, implementing the Problem-Solving learning model will improve the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at GMIM 7 Tomohon Elementary School. This research provides evidence of consistent improvement in the student's science learning outcomes from Cycle I to Cycle II. Upaya Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Melalui Pembelajaran Quantum Teaching Mengenai Sistem Ekskresi

This research was structured with the aim of improving student learning outcomes through quantum teaching learning regarding the excretory system in science learning in Class VIII-E students of SMP Negeri 20 Tasikmalaya. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), in which the teacher is the executor of learning while the researcher is the observer. The research design uses the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2021/2022 school year, namely in March. The subjects of this study were students of Class VIII-E at SMP Negeri 20 Tasikmalaya which consisted of 33 students. The object of research is the active learning of students. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of tables and graphs. The results showed that there was an increase in the active learning of students, namely in the first cycle an average of 74 (good category) and in the second cycle 81 (very good category), meaning that the learning outcomes in cycle II had fulfilled the Minimum Completeness Criteria of 75. This means there was an increase of 9.54%. Thus the use of the quantum teaching learning model regarding the excretory system in science learning can increase the learning activity of Class VIII-E students of SMP Negeri 20 Tasikmalaya.

Improving Critical Thinking Skills of Junior High School Students in Science Learning Using the Development of Interactive E-Module Based Macromedia Flash

The aim of this research is improving student critical thinking skills using interactive E-module based on macromedia flash. Critical thinking skills are one of the 4C skills students need to have in dealing with 21st century learning. Critical thinking skills is the ability to think reflectively and deeply in obtaining relevant information or knowledge and being able to make conclusions or decisions correctly and appropriately. Science teacher at SMPN 3 Jember has never trained a student's critical thinking skills through the learning process and has never done research on class 7 student skills. Vastly improved technology can be used in education to develop the taught materials of modules called e-modules. The study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of an interactive e-module based on macromedia flash to improve the critical thinking skills of junior high school students in science learning. The type of research used is research and development with the ADDIE development model consisting of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that 1) the interactive e-module based on macromedia flash was declared very valid with a percentage of 93%, 2) the practicality of interactive e-module based on macromedia flash was declared very good with a percentage of 95.2%, and 3) the interactive e-module based on macromedia flash was declared effective for improving students' critical thinking skills with an n-gain value of 0.4 belonging to the medium category and getting a positive response from students with percentage of 81.25% which was classified as positive category. Based on the results of the study, the interactive e-modules based on macromedia flash is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.

THE ANALISIS KESULITAN BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPA DI KELAS VIII SMPN 11 SINGKAWANG TIMUR

Based on the results of interviews with science teachers at SMPN 11 Singkawang Timur, that in class VIII students experience learning difficulties indicated by the existence of certain obstacles to achieving learning outcomes. The purpose of the study was to find out how the students' learning difficulties in science subjects in class VIII SMPN 11 Singkawang Timur. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. Primary data sources were obtained from students in grades VIII A, VIII B, and VIII C of SMPN 11 Singkawang Timur. Meanwhile, secondary data sources were obtained from science teachers in class VIII and students in grades VIII A, VIII B, and VIII C of SMPN 11 Singkawang Timur. Data collection techniques using indirect communication, interviews and documentation. Data collection tools using a questionnaire sheet, interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques perform data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The results showed that students' learning difficulties in science subjects in class VIII of SMPN 11 Singkawang Timur were classically stated as moderate according to the results of the questionnaire scores obtained were interpreted as moderate with a percentage of 60.13%. The conclusion in this study is that when carrying out science learning students have learning difficulties with different percentages of each class, in class VIII A the questionnaire score of 61.23% is interpreted as high which states that learning difficulties in science are low, class VIII B the percentage is 59.13% moderately interpreted and grade VIII C with a percentage of
 59.23% interpreted as being in accordance with the scores obtained by class VIII B and VIII C stating that students' learning difficulties in science subjects were moderate.

E-Learning Using the Flipped Classroom Model-Based Teachmint Application and its Impact on Student Science Learning Outcomes

The lack of teachers' ability to create science learning media that is integrated with technology and information for grade V elementary schools prompted this research. The purpose of this research is to create a valid, practical and effective e-Learning product for the fifth grade science class in elementary schools. The research method used is Research and Development and refers to the ADDIE development model. Data collection techniques are divided into 2, specifically Qualitative and Quantitative data. Qualitative data had been received from suggestions and comments by means of validators and practitioners. The media became validated by 2 material professional lecturers, 2 media professional lecturers, and 1 language professional lecturer, and tested by 2 instructors and 10 students for practicality, and 31 college students for effectiveness. Quantitative information was acquired from the results of validator and practitioner questionnaire exams. Data analysis techniques uses a Likert scale and a paired sample t-test. The results of the validation and testing of science lessons show that the Media Media e-Learning based on the Flipped Classroom Model using the Teachmint application on Ecosystem Theme 5 is said to be very valid with a score of 91, very practical with a value of 92.5 and very effective 92.1. Based on the results of the data acquisition, it shows that e-Learning using the Teachmint application for science learning outcomes is considered very valid, very practical, and very effective in learning science in elementary schools.

The Oppemei Model on Creative Thinking Skills Reviewing From Self-Efficacy of Students in Science Learning

The The current problem is that it is still very difficult to develop creative thinking skills and self-efficacy in children. This is because there is still a high sense of wanting to win alone and limited learning time at school. The main aim of this research is to analyze the OPPEMEI model for creative thinking skills in terms of the self-efficacy of fourth grade elementary school students in learning science. The population of this research is all 186 grade IV students. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a non-randomized design.PosttestOnly Control GroupDesignand 2x2 factorial as the analysis design. The classes used as samples were determined using random sampling techniques. Data collection methods use questionnaires and tests. The instrument uses questionnaires and question sheets. Data analysis techniques are descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative using two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The research results show that there are differences in creative thinking skills between students who follow the OPPEMEI learning model and students who follow the conventional learning model. There are differences in creative thinking skills, in groups of students who have high self-efficacy who follow the OPPEMEI learning model and students who follow conventional learning models. There are differences in creative thinking skills, in the group of students who have low self-efficacy who follow the OPPEMEI learning model and students who follow the conventional learning model. It was concluded that there was an interaction effect between the learning model and self-efficacy on students' creative thinking skills in science subjects.
