A Comparative Study of the Morals of PAI IAIN Kerinci Students Who Participate in the Ma'had Al-Jamiah Program with Non-Participants

This research was conducted to determine the difference in moral levels between Islamic Education (PAI) students who participated in the Ma'had al-Jamiah program at IAIN Kerinci and those who did not participate (non-participants). The method used was a quantitative research method with a survey approach. The questionnaire consisted of 10 items containing indicators of morality towards Allah SWT, morality towards fellow human beings, and morality towards the environment. The total sample size was 70 PAI students, comprising 35 students who participated in the Ma'had al-Jamiah program and 35 non-participants. This study conducted normality tests and statistical tests using SPSS. Based on the normality test, the morality of PAI students who participated in the program was normally distributed (significance value 0.071 > 0.05), while PAI students who did not participate in the program were not normally distributed (significance value 0.00 < 0.05). Therefore, data analysis was conducted using parametric statistical tests with Mann Whitney U. The results of the statistical tests showed that the significance value for morality (0.682) was greater than 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference between PAI students who participated in the Ma'had al-Jamiah program at IAIN Kerinci and PAI students who did not participate in the program. However, based on the interval questionnaire scores, the moral level of PAI students who participated in the program was categorized as Good (3.07), while students who did not participate were categorized as Fairly Good (2.82). Therefore, it can be said that both groups of PAI students have good moral levels.

Introductory Physics Students Who Typically Worked Alone or in Groups: Insights from Gender-Based Analysis Before and During COVID-19

Collaboration with peers both inside and outside the classroom can be an invaluable tool for helping students learn physics. We investigated the impact of peer collaboration on learning physics by examining the characteristics of women and men who typically worked alone versus those who typically collaborated with peers in their algebra-based introductory physics course when they took the course before and during the COVID-19 pandemic when the classes were on Zoom. Our findings indicate that, on average, students who worked with peers had higher grades and reported greater peer influence on their physics self-efficacy during the pandemic compared to those who worked alone. We also observed that, for both women and men, a larger percentage of students typically worked in groups before the pandemic, while a greater percentage typically worked alone during the pandemic. We discuss these results in relation to students’ prior academic preparation, physics grades, self-efficacy and their perception of the effectiveness of peer collaboration on their physics self-efficacy.

Strategi Koping Pelampiasan Stres pada Mahasiswa Rantau

Individuals who decide to migrate to continue their education and improve their quality of life will undoubtedly face various new problems with themselves and their surroundings. The many issues faced by students who are away from home can cause them to experience stress. In dealing with this stress, each student away from home has a different way. This paper aims to determine coping strategies for stress relief from the perspective of the phenomenology of students who are away from home. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, which is collected data through interviews with two informants from different campuses. The results of the study show that the reasons why students who are away from home experience stress are due to pressure in the world of lectures and also other problems that they face simultaneously. The coping strategies used are in two forms: coping strategies that focus on emotions and those that focus on meaning. Keywords: Students Who Are Away, Stress, Coping Strategies

Online Social Support for Students Who Are Completing Their Final Thesis Assignments

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk dukungan sosial daring yang didapat mahasiswa yang sedang menyelesaikan tugas akhir skripsi di komentar akun autobase @collegemenfess. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode Netnografi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan dalam komentar akun autobase @collegemenfess pada unggahan keluhan tugas akhir skripsi yaitu terdapat lima bentuk dukungan sosial daring, antara lain, dukungan emosional, dukungan penghargaan, dukungan instrumental, dukungan informasi dan dukungan jejaring sosial. Dari lima bentuk dukungan sosial tersebut hanya tiga bentuk dukungan sosial daring yang paling dominan yaitu dukungan emosional, dukungan instrumental, dan dukungan informatif.

Exploring the Lives of Korean College Students Who Attempted Suicide: A Qualitative Study

Despite South Korea's high life expectancy, it experiences a significantly high suicide rate. College students are in a crucial developmental stage and are vulnerable to suicide. This study was conducted to obtain in-depth understanding of the life experiences of college students who attempted suicide. This study used in-depth personal interviews, in which researchers and participants met one-on-one; the data were analyzed using Colaizzi's phenomenological method. Six themes reflected participants' experiences: "A family that has left behind deficiencies and wounds that are not easy to overcome", "Lingering struggles even as college students", "Seeking self-worth through relationships", "Achievement at all costs: The search for self-worth in a life obsessed with success", "The irony of those aspiring to live: suicide" and "The fight still continues" CONCLUSIONS: The results underscore the necessity of broadening our interpretive framework to better understand and address the concealed complexities of mental health in this demographic. Mental health professionals are urged to consider these nuanced dynamics when developing targeted interventions to support students through their unique challenges.

Relation between Mindfulness and Post-Earthquake Trauma Levels of Students Who Take and Don’t Take Folk Dance Lesson

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between mindfulness and post-earthquake trauma levels of sports sciences faculty students who take and don’t take folk dance lesson. Mixed models was used both qualitative and quantitative approaches. A total of 94 students, 35 women and 59 men, studying at the faculty of sports sciences, participated in this study. Data were collected using the Mindfulness Scale and the Post-Earthquake Trauma Level Determination Scale. Descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test and Pearson correlation analysis were applied to analyze the data. According to the research results, it was seen that the students were traumatized at a "high" level according to the scores they received from the PETLDS. A significant difference was observed in favor of the students who took folk dance lessons in the affective dimension, one of the sub-dimensions of the post-earthquake trauma scale, in terms of whether the students took folk dance lessons or not and gender variables. It was determined that there was a significant negative relationship between mindfulness scores and post-earthquake trauma scores. Accordingly, it can be said that if university students' mindfulness scores increase, their post-earthquake trauma scores will decrease.

Being a thinking creature, human has made progress in almost every subject that his mind has reached. The word technology has also emerged as a result of this development. With the advancement of technology in today's digital age, systems that transmit human behaviors to the digital world have also developed rapidly. Metaverse is a good example that can be given to these systems and concepts lately. This technology, in which human movements are at the center, provides benefits in many different fields such as medicine, games, sports and art. In this context, it is important to include the Metaverse, a new technological phenomenon that will contribute to the development and technological progress of sports, in the field of sports, and to introduce and train all individuals in the sports community to the Metaverse. In this study, it was conducted to investigate the Metaverse knowledge, attitude and awareness level of the students studying at the Faculty of Sports Sciences in order to reveal the state of Metaverse knowledge and awareness of the students studying at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, which provides human resources to the field of sports, and to draw attention to the awareness of Metaverse technology. The sample of the study consists of 238 students studying at Sivas Cumhuriyet University, Faculty of Sport Sciences. As a result of our study, while a significant difference was found in various sub-dimensions according to the gender, income level and possession of crypto money, no significant difference was found according to the departments of the students.

Campus Support Program Service Use by Students Who Experienced Foster Care, Relative Care, or Homelessness

Campus support programs (CSPs) in higher education institutions seek to address the barriers encountered by students who experienced foster care or homelessness (SEFC/H). This mixed methods study of a CSP at Florida State University examined the SEFC/H’s service use and students’ perceptions of the CSP to better understand student experiences. Study participants included 54 CSP students who graduated between 2015 and 2020. They completed surveys at graduation and six months and one year post-graduation. Students reported service use and perceptions of the services’ helpfulness. They described what they valued in the CSP and what the CSP could have done to better prepare them for life after graduation. Findings show a high level of service use and perceptions of helpfulness. Students reported valuing the support; resources; physical space; sense of belonging, community, family, and home; growth and motivation; and success because of their CSP involvement. Areas where students believed the CSP could better prepare them for life after graduation included finances, graduate school, career planning, life skills, and connections. Implications for CSP include assisting SEFC/H with (a) planning and life skills, (b) financial literacy and money, and (c) mentors and connections.

The Effectiveness of Group Counseling Services A Client-Centered Approach to Increase the Confidence of Students Who are Victims of Body Shaming

This quantitative research with an experimental approach aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling using a client-centered approach to increase the self-confidence of students who are victims of body shaming at MTs 2 Medan. The study population consisted of 150 students, and the sample was taken using purposive sampling. Data was collected by performing pre-tests and post-tests before and after the group counseling sessions using the client-centered approach. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with SPSS. The results showed that after the group counseling sessions, there was an increase in self-confidence among the students: 5 students experienced an increase in self-confidence to the high category, and three other students experienced an increase to the very high category. The data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test revealed that the sig (2-tailed) value was less than 0.05, specifically 0.011, indicating that group counseling using the client-centered technique effectively enhances the self-confidence of students who experience body shaming.

Abstract Self-esteem is a set of beliefs in oneself that has both external and internal loci (Tuttle & Tuttle, 2004). It is important for an individual who is blind or visually impaired to develop positive self-esteem so that they can adjust appropriately to life’s ups and downs. There are many ways to assist a student in the development of positive self-esteem. This article describes an activity that showed a student her positive traits.

Implementasi Program Kampus Mengajar dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia

The aim of this research is to describe the implementation ofthe campus teaching programin learning Indonesian in class VI SD N 53 OKU.The type of research used is descriptive. The method used is a descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, tests and documentation. The research results showed that before the program, students had unbalanced reading habits, with 47.37% of students reading frequently and 52.63% of students rarely reading. However, after the GELINAS and ABM programs, students showed significant changes, with 100% of students arguing that they often read and campus teaching could improve students' reading abilities. In fact, two student swho have participated in the ABM program have achieved optimal results, with scores of 84 and 64 out of 100, indicating that the program is effective in improving students'reading abilities. From the results of these data it can be concluded that the GELINAS and ABM programs have a significant impact in improving students' reading habits. With this program, students can improve their reading skills and achieve optimal results.

Correlation Between Perceived Social Support and Self Efficacy in Final Students Who Are Preparing Thesis

This research aims to determine the relationship between perceived social support and self-efficacy in final students who are writing their thesis. This research uses a quantitative research approach with a descriptive type of research. The sampling technique for this research uses a purposive sampling technique with students being the research sample consisting of 203 students using the Krejcie table. Test construct validity by looking at the total item correlation coefficient equal to or greater than 0.138. The instrument reliability test uses Cronbach's alpha value, namely 0.8. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant correlation between Perceived social support and self-efficacy with a correlation value (rxy) of 0.492 with a calculated p value = 0.0001 / P < 0.05

The Influence of Emotional Regulation on Internet Addiction towards Students Who Use Online Gambling Sites and Applications

This study aims to examine the influence of emotion regulation on internet addiction in online gambling site and application users. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational quantitative design. The population in this study are university students who use online gambling in Indonesia. The sampling technique in this study uses purposive sampling technique with 105 respondents. The instruments in this study use the Internet Addiction Test (IAT) scale (Young, 2017) which has been modified by the researcher to suit online gambling use. Participants' emotional regulation skills were measured using the Difficulties Emotion Regulation (DERS) measurement tool first developed by Gratz and Roemer (2004) which has been adapted into Indonesian by Nina (2014). Data was collected by distributing online and offline surveys using Google Forms and processed using Spearman correlation with the help of spss 25 for windows. The results of the data analysis show a significance of 0.000 <0.05. Emotion regulation has a significant negative relationship with internet addiction so that the higher the emotional regulation score obtained by the subject, the higher the possibility of experiencing internet addiction. This shows that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected or can also be interpreted that there is an influence of emotion regulation on internet addiction.

Differences in Self-Awareness of Students Who Attend Islamic and General Bases

The study aimed to find the relationship between the self-awareness of psychology students at Raden Fatah Islamic University and Sriwijaya University, Palembang. Self-awareness can be interpreted as a person's ability to understand deeply, including strengths, weaknesses, values, and feelings. The method used is quantitative with a comparative research type by collecting data using a questionnaire, then there is an independent sample T-test. The self-awareness scale is presented in the form of a Likert scale, which is distributed through a questionnaire with four response options: Very Unsuitable (STS), Not Appropriate (TS), Appropriate (S), and Very Appropriate (SS). Favorable statement items are assessed as follows: STS is given a score of 1, TS is given a score of 2, S is given a score of 3, and SS is given a score of 4. Meanwhile, the value of unfavorable statements is given the opposite value. The research results show that the overall population data of respondents consisted of N = 50, consisting of N = 25 Sriwijaya University and N = 25 UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Sriwijaya University mean value = 77.92, std. Deviation = 4.73392, std. Error Mean = 0.946788. Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang mean value = 79.72, std. Deviation = 6.90724, std. Error Mean = 1.38145. sig. value (2-tailed) = 0.288, while research = 5% or 0.05 means (0.288 > 0.05) it can be concluded that this study accepts H0 and rejects Ha. It can be concluded that there is no significant difference in self-aswers on Character Building in Students at Raden Fatah State Islamic University and Sriwijaya University Palembang.

A Study on the Preferences and Behaviors of College Students Who Shop Online for Clothes

In today’s society, e-commerce is becoming more and more popular, ushering in a new era of online shopping. As an emerging mode of consumption, online consumption has brought great convenience to college students’ daily life, but also has a serious impact on the consumption concept of college students whose psychological development is not yet mature, among which the negative impact is undeniable and needs to be taught and corrected in time. As a group with distinctive characteristics among many online consumers, college students can grasp the changing ways of the Internet as quickly as possible and skillfully use online channels to shop. Irrational consumption behaviors such as blind following, excessive, comparison, and impulsiveness are common among college students. In the case of insufficient funds from their families, some college students will even choose to borrow online. How to correctly guide college students to establish a rational outlook on consumption is the biggest problem facing the whole society. Based on the questionnaire survey method and the characteristics of college students’ online clothing consumption behavior in Jiangxi Province, this paper analyzes the main influencing factors of college students’ online consumption behavior by stating the sources of living expenses, consumption platforms, clothing types, and purchase mentality, summarizes their consumption psychological characteristics, and puts forward scientific guidance countermeasures and programs for college students to establish a correct online consumption concept from five levels: government, society, universities, families and individuals.

Self-Regulated Learning in Students Who Pass the SNBT Using E-Learning as a Learning Media

This study explores the effectiveness of self-regulated learning (SRL) in students who pass the SNBT using e-learning as a learning medium. SRL is a process in which students independently manage and maintain their cognitive, emotional, and motivational aspects to achieve predetermined learning goals. Passing the SNBT is an achievement that requires students' learning independence. This research utilized a qualitative method with 4 students who passed the SNBT using e-learning as respondents, selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, transcribed, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of the study indicate that students who used e-learning in SNBT preparation successfully passed the selection and entered the best state universities due to their ability to self-regulate through three phases of SRL: planning, execution, and reflection. E-learning helped students set learning goals, choose appropriate learning strategies, and manage time effectively. During the execution phase, students were active in the learning process and adjusted methods as needed. In the reflection phase, students evaluated learning outcomes and made improvements based on feedback. Students who applied SRL demonstrated high learning independence and motivation. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating technology in education to enhance students' effectiveness and academic success.

An Evaluation of Annual Goals for Rural Students Who Are Receiving Special Education Services: A Comparison of Disability Categories

In this article, we describe the exploration of the content and quality of annual goals included in the Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) of students with disabilities in one rural U.S. school district. We utilized content analysis to understand the district’s service delivery model comprehensively. Findings revealed disparities between inclusive placements and special education service delivery, suggesting that, despite high rates of inclusive placements noted on IEPs, most services occurred outside general education classrooms, especially for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We evaluated the quality and rigor of 546 annual goals using a rubric adapted from Kurth et al. Only 37.7% of goals were rated as rigorous, highlighting a need for clearer, more specific, and applicable goals. Notably, communication goals for students with IDD were largely absent, raising concerns about support for meaningful participation in general education settings. In addition, special factors related to communication and assistive technology were not consistently addressed in IEPs. We discuss implications for improving educational experiences for students who qualify for special education services under IDD in rural schools and highlight the value of further research and actions in this area.
