Pemanfaatan Waktu Belajar Siswa Di Luar Jam Sekolah Melalui Kegiatan Ekstrakulikuler Keagamaan

This research is based on the relatively short study time of students. Therefore, to optimize or utilize spare time, activities are needed that can develop students' personalities in terms of morality, worship, and achievement. One of the informal institutions based on Islamic boarding school that has utilized spare time is the Paqusatta Islamic boarding school, located in the North Sangatta district, Kutai Timur regency. The adapted research method we used is a qualitative field method involving data collection, observation, and interviews. The utilization of students' study time outside of school hours through Islamic boarding school activities has significant objectives in education, especially in shaping character with morality and achievement. Therefore, this research aims to explore ways to utilize students' study time outside of school hours through Islamic boarding school activities to shape students' moral and high-achieving characters. This research uses a qualitative approach to collect data, relationships, cause and effect, and factors influencing the utilization of spare time in students. The aim is to determine the methods used by teachers in utilizing students' spare time, exemplified through religious activities and the implementation of extracurricular programs in Islamic boarding school, aiming to enhance the utilization of spare time in shaping moral and high-achieving characters in students.

Uncommon Sense Teaching: A 3-Course Online Specialization on the Coursera Platform to Share Advances in Effective Teaching

This paper gives an overview of the creative process and construction underlying the threecourse Coursera specialization Uncommon Sense Teaching, encompassing 16 hours of video and roughly 50 hours of total dedicated study time for students. In the year since its launch in September of 2022, this specialization has received a 5.0 out of 5.0 rating with 119 reviews and over 2,300 enrollees, attesting to learner satisfaction with the quality of the instruction. Careful planning and attention to detail were behind the success—this paper gives an overview of the specialization’s planning, creative, and implementation processes, including a discussion of costs.

Model Regresi Cox Untuk Data Masa Studi (Studi Kasus: Data Masa Studi Mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Universitas Bangka Belitung)

Student study time is the time needed by students to complete their education, which starts from the time they enter college until they are declared graduated or have completed their study period. In the study period data, survival time observations were only carried out partially or not until the failure event. In other words, termination occurs until the observation deadline. This termination occurred due to several factors that allegedly influenced the student's study period. Using study period data for students of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Bangka Belitung, class of 2015/2016, this study used the Kaplan Meier Estimation to see the survival function of each factor causing the length of study period graphically and the Log Rank Test statistically. Meanwhile, to look at the factors that determine the length of a student's study period, researchers used the Cox Regression and Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) models to find the best model. The results of the data analysis show that there are differences in the survival function in each category for all variables graphically, while the statistical comparison of the results of the estimation of the survival function curve based on gender and organizational status is not significantly different. The results of the analysis also show that the proportional hazard assumption is fulfilled through the cumulative hazard log so that categorical variables can be used in the Cox Regression model. Based on the results of the likelihood estimation, the variables that have a significant effect on the study period of Engineering Faculty students are majors and GPA variables. Furthermore, from the interpretation of the model parameters, it is obtained that the Hazard Ratio (HR) value for the study period of Mechanical, Mining and Electrical Engineering students is faster than that of Civil Engineering students, while students with GPA ≥ 3.00 have a shorter study period than students with GPA < 3.00.

Analisis Korelasi dan Kontribusi Pemanfaatan Waktu Belajar Mahasiswa Toraja Pendidikan Geografi Terhadap Hasil Belajar

The research objective was to find out how using student study time improves learning outcomes. Data collection techniques with questionnaires, and observation. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics to determine the correlation between the use of study time and learning outcomes. The results showed a relationship between time utilization and learning outcomes with a correlation of rcount 0.863 > rtable 0.413. Utilization of learning outcomes contributes 73.2% to improving learning outcomes. Based on the t-test, the coefficients (B) are 0.622 and the value (B) is 0.034 with Sig. 0.000, meaning that using study time has a positive effect (+0.034) on improving learning outcomes. Students from Toraja have the habit of making good use of their study time, such as doing assignments, always making time to study, and being good at managing their time.

Flipped classroom in neurophysiology: performance analysis of a system focusing on intrinsic students' motivation.

Introduction: Teaching methodologies promoting active learning result in higher-order knowledge application, a desirable outcome in health disciplines like Physiology. Flipped-classroom (FC) promotes active learning and engagement in the classroom. Although specialized research keeps accumulating, the advantages of FC for improving academic outcome and ultimately patient care remain controversial and open to further analysis. Objective: This study evaluates the benefits of applying FC to the Neurophysiology module of a Human Physiology course. Methods:We compare final grades of students exposed to standard lecturing (five-years) vs. FC (six-years), and study the FC impact on student motivation, study time and rewards. Differing from conventional FC, we performed no pre-class/in-class assessments, relying on the students' internal motivation to experience our FC model. A printed student workbook was designed as pre-class material for each session. Reading times respect the expected daily study time of students in our system. Results and discussion: Concerning academic performance, our long-term study reports a significant increase in average scores for FC groups. Overall, students get better scores in multiple choice tests than in problem-solving questions. A more detailed analysis uncovers that our FC model helps students to obtain better scores, reducing variability in performance due to assessment methods. Based on our open-ended survey questions, most students rate the FC environment and in-class activities positively and perceive a positive effect of FC on teachers' performance. An objective automatic Sentiment analysis of open-ended answers reveals that FC is positively appreciated by students, associating positive perceptions to their understanding of physiological concepts, and negative evaluations to their time management.

Penerapan Machine Learning Untuk Prediksi Masa Studi Mahasiswa di Perguruan Tinggi X

Universities play a role in producing quality resources from their graduate students, so that the quality and accreditation of tertiary institutions are things that need attention. One indicator of higher education accreditation is student graduation on time, so student graduation must be an important concern for tertiary institutions. Based on the results of the documentation, the percentage of students graduating on time is lower than students who are not completing their studies on time, therefore it is necessary to analyze the student's study period to overcome the study period that graduates are not on time using the machine learning method with the Naïve Bayes Classifier algorithm to predict student study period. The research method uses the Naïve Bayes Classifier algorithm method which is part of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which consists of preprocessing, input, process and output. because this method has high accuracy and can work better in real-world cases. The results of predicting the timeliness of student study time at college X with 3553 data using the Naïve Bayes Classifier algorithm method, using WEKA tools succeeded in predicting student study time with 70% data taining and 30% as random testing data with the system. Using 11 attributes, namely study program, GPA, mother's occupation, mother's income, entry period, father's occupation, father's income, route of entry, gender, and school of origin, obtained a percentage of precision value of 54.545%, recall value of 67.220%, and the accuracy level reaches 79.925% which is categorized as good, using the ROC curve calculation to form almost close to (0.1) with an AUC value of 0.844 which is categorized as very good. Based on the results of the percentage accuracy rate, ROC curve and AUC value, the Naïve Bayes Classifier predicts student graduation in the "Good" category

Pengaruh Media Sosial Tik Tok terhadap Perkembangan Belajar Siswa di SMA Kota Pekalongan

The development in this era of globalization is skyrocketing with many of the latest technological innovations. Many social media have also sprung up with different versions and functions. Indonesia is one of the countries with the most Facebook users in the world with the number of users reaching 110 million accounts. Meanwhile, Instagram users in 2017 have reached more than 45 million people so that it makes students curious and want to try using various kinds of social media. One of the social media that is widely used by students today is tik tok social media. Tik Tok social media is audio-visual media that can be seen and heard. The use of tik tok social media is because for them this social media can entertain them when they are bored. Reduced student study time due to overuse of social media so that curiosity arises and never lags behind investigating cyberspace. The purpose of this study is to determine how much influence tik tok social media has on the learning achievement of high school students in Pekalongan City. The type of research used is analytic observational study research with cross sectional research design. Based on the results of hypothesis testing carried out, it can be concluded that there is an influence on the use of tiktok social media on the learning development of students in Pekalongan City high schools

Management of Student Study Time Post-Pandemic Toward Culture Shock in Indonesia

This article aims to reveal the management of student study time after the Covid-19 pandemic in dealing with culture shock in Indonesia. This article uses qualitative research method. This type of research is a case study, namely culture shock post covid-19 pandemic. Research problems in research are explained descriptively. The data collection technique that is with the library such scientific articles, books, and other sources relevant to the research topic. The data analysis technique uses a technique popularized by Miles & Huberman, which consists of condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study found that students experienced various culture shocks due to changes in the learning process, namely from offline face-to-face to online virtual face-to-face. Culture Shock happened again for the second time when the Covid-19 pandemic was gone, so all activities, namely offline learning, returned to normal. Therefore, to reduce the effect of culture shock, it is necessary to have adaptations in managing study time management, meaning that building and restructuring good study time management is the primary key to surviving these situations and conditions.

Uji Distribusi Binomial Pada Data Lama Masa Studi Mahasiswa

The length of study time for students at a higher education institution varies quite a lot. Many factors cause students to finish college on time or not on time. The length of study period is one indicator of the success of a tertiary institution. The faster students complete their education, the better the quality of service from an educational institution. This study aims to test the binomial distribution on data on length of study of students of the Tribuana University Mathematics Study Program (Untrib) Kalabahi. The binomial distribution is a distribution of discrete random variables with n trials and two outcomes. The data was obtained from the mathematics study program (prodi) document, in the form of the length of study period of 105 graduate students in 2017-2021. Then a binomial distribution test was carried out with successful data categories, namely students who completed college ≤ 8 semesters and the failed category, namely students who completed college > 8 semesters. The results of the study show that the average success rate for mathematics students is not equal to 50% of the total students in each batch

INDEPENDENT WORK OF HIGHER EDUCATION SEEKERS AS THE HIGHEST FORM OF PROFESSIONAL FORMATION AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

The article analyzes the essence of the concepts "independent work", "self-education", "independence" and their relationship and interdependence. The types of independent work in the process of educational and extracurricular activities are characterized. Approaches to their classification according to various criteria are presented. The organization of independent work in institutions of higher education is characterized, including its purpose, content, forms, methods, and conditions of effectiveness, which are determined. The higher school is gradually but steadily moving from the transfer of information to the management of educational and cognitive activities, the formation of the abilities and skills of independent work in the students of higher education. According to the Regulation on the Organization of the Educational Process in Higher Education Institutions, the independent work of students of higher education is the main means of mastering educational material in the time that is free from compulsory educational classes. The study time allocated for the independent work of higher education seekers is regulated by the curriculum and must be no less than 1/3 and no more than 2/3 of the total study time of students devoted to the study of specific disciplines.
 The conditions-factors of the effectiveness of the organization of independent work of higher education seekers have been determined. They include: organizational (time management, educational literature and corresponding facilities); methodical (planning, teaching methods of acquiring information and managing the independent work); psychological and pedagogical (taking into account the individual psychological qualities and properties of the higher education seekers); information-technology (the degree of accessibility of new information systems, the level of computer literacy); organization of control and assessment (observance of systematicity and phasing in the organization and conduct of independent work). The results of a study among higher education applicants regarding the effectiveness of organizing independent work in universities are highlighted.

Association of Social Media and Desire Result in Examination with Study Time of Students

Academic achievement is one of the major goals of students which depends on many factors. The crucial factor is study time of students. The students study more get higher grad in examination.  The present study aims to assess the effects of factors on student’s study time which is measure by number of study hours at home/hostel or university. The population of this study is undergraduate students of University of Malakand. Ninety students from various faculties are selected by stratified random sampling method. The academic faculties are considered as strata. A structure questionnaire is formatted and distributed among students. The data is presented by tables. Multiple linear regression model is used to identify the significant factors associated with number of study hours of students. Use of social media and desire result of the students are found significantly associated with response variable. Assumption of the regression model is tested, and found satisfactory.

Semi-flipped classroom-based learning interventions in a traditional curriculum of oral medicine: students’ perceptions and teaching achievements

BackgroundIn recent years, flipped classes have emerged and become popular in college medical education. However, due to the huge medical learning system and the limited pre-class study time of students, it is difficult to implement in all courses. And then we adopted the semi-flipped classes (SFCs) to evaluate its teaching effect. This study analysed three educational methods that can be used in oral medicine courses: online education, offline education, and semi-flipped classes.MethodsWe used two surveys to evaluate the three educational methods. In the first survey 46 teachers and 238 undergraduates shared their experience of the live-streaming and traditional offline courses offered in the different oral medicine curricula; we used anonymous questionnaires to evaluate their class experience. In the second survey 94 students shared their experience of the semi-flipped and traditional classrooms. Students who attended the SFCs in the experimental group learned about the oral mucosa disease by themselves using an online video course and then participated in offline interaction with teachers. The evaluation of the above educational methods was conducted using the anonymous questionnaires and final exam assessment.ResultsAccording to the first survey, teachers and students both agreed that the overall teaching experience and learning effectiveness in offline education are superior to those in online education. According to the second survey, students who participated in the SFCs performed better in the final exam than those who participated in the simple offline classes. Additionally, the survey showed that the new teaching method helped students gain more knowledge and positively influenced their clinical practice.ConclusionsCompared with the online and offline educational methods, the SFC showed better results in both the questionnaire and final exam assessment. Hence, the effectiveness of medical education can be improved by adopting a teaching mode that combines online and offline teaching methods. Scientific and logical SFCs designs, along with their effective implementation, would eventually make SFCs an important tool for medical education.

Peranan Guru BK dalam Manajemen Waktu Belajar Siswa SMP Negeri 1 Aek Ledong pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19

This research to reveal how the BK teacher's role in managing student studies time at SMP Negeri 1 Aek Ledong during the Covid-19 pandemic. From the data collected, it was obtained information that during the Covid-19 pandemic, it was difficult for students to manage study time, both at school and at home. Many schools were also closed due to the impact of this pandemic, so students experienced delays in providing learning materials at school. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, data collection techniques are carried out through interview guidelines, observation guidelines, and distributing questionnaires. The subjects of the research were headmaster, the BK teacher and 35 students in grade IX. The results of this study showed that the role of guidance and counseling teachers in managing student study time at SMP Negeri 1 Aek Ledong during the Covid-19 pandemic was in good condition.

Emotional Interaction and Behavioral Decision-Making Mechanism in Network Science Education Based on Deep Learning

With the globalization of network education and the design and construction of all aspects of engineering, network science education is playing an increasingly important role in higher education and even the lifelong education system of college students. The purpose of this article is to study emotional interaction in deep learning network education and analyze the status quo of its behavioral decision-making mechanism. It uses research literature method, algorithmic statistical method, and questionnaire survey method to investigate specific groups of people; analyzes the status quo of emotional interaction and behavioral decision-making mechanism; improves statistical algorithms; and explores an old style emotional cognitive decision-making model. In this paper, a questionnaire survey of a university shows that the proportion of students whose online learning time is 1.5–2 hours is about 10.3% and the proportion of 1–1.5 hours is about 6.8%. The study time of students’ online courses is mainly concentrated. The study time between 0.5 and 1 hour accounts for about 83.2%; about 2.3% of learners rarely use the Internet, less than 0.5 hour; and 1% of students hardly use online courses and may rely more on traditional classroom teaching. Further research showed the behavior of their emotional interaction: interactive teaching network in six modules reached the upper level, the peak value of the curve was 0.737, the bottom value was 0.115, and the transitivity was above 0.115. From deep statistical learning algorithms to completing network science education, designing or modifying more comprehensive and faster bpq-l learning algorithms based on traditional learning algorithms can allow us to find target sentiments.

6 - Availability of Study Time for Undergraduate Finance Students at an Open and Distance Learning Institution in South Africa

Adult learners at open distance learning institutions often experience in- creased demands from their employers, families and society. Continuously challenged by time constraints, adult learners are confronted with time allocation decisions of meeting academic responsibilities while maintain- ing a work–life balance. This research evaluated the time management of adult learners by determining whether adult learners commit the appropriate number of study hours to their academic responsibilities in accordance with the prescribed notional credit hours. An online questionnaire was distrib- uted to a sample of students studying towards a baccalaureate degree in financial management within an academic department at an open distance learning institution. The results suggested that students commit insufficient time to academic responsibilities measured against the notional credit hour system. To manage time better, adult learners should be informed of the rationale behind the notional credit hour system and be introduced to a time management tool whereby those students who fail to make adequate progress should be enrolled on time management courses.

Empirical Investigation and Analysis of Factors Contributing to Students’ Academic Performance

Education has long been recognized as a critical component of economic growth. Secondary education occupies a strategic place in the educational system that links the primary and university levels of education. Accordingly, the Ethiopian government has been working to ensure that secondary education is accessible for all. However, education has only increased in terms of schooling. We conducted this study to analyze factors that contribute to secondary school students' academic performance in Mecha district, Ethiopia. Data collected from 389 sample respondents were analyzed using both descriptive and regression analyzes. We found considerable mean differences between male and female students. The result of the multiple linear regression model also indicated that mothers’ educational level, study time of students, student-teacher ratio, and negative peer pressure were the most factors determining students’ academic performance. The result suggests that the average mark of students would increase, as their mothers became more educated. Furthermore, we documented that a higher student-teacher ratio contributed to low students' academic performance. Lastly, recommendations were made based on the findings of the study to policymakers and concerned bodies so that academic performance could be increased.

Research on the “o-t-s-e” Mode of Classroom Cultivation of Teacher Students' Professional Quality Based on the Concept of Cooperative Learning

To meet the actual conditions of normal colleges and universities, to enrich the study time of normal students in the middle grades, and to continuously and effectively cultivate the professional qualities of normal students is a topic that requires in-depth exploration in normal colleges and universities. Introduce the concept of cooperative learning, make effective use of classroom teaching, clarify that students are leaders, learners, exhibitors, and evaluators, and teachers are designers, instructors, and collaborators. The role positioning of teachers is to establish an “OTSE” model for classroom training of professional literacy for normal students. That is, in the classroom teaching process, the teacher organically integrates the three stages of pre-class, class and after-class, and implements the professional quality of “observe-think-show-evaluate” for normal students in stages Training mode.

Solar Microgrids in Rural India

This study evaluates the benefits that rural households in India derive from dedicated solar microgrid service systems. A case study was conducted in Lakshmipura-Jharla, Rajasthan, a village in western India with significant potential for producing solar energy. In 2013, a private investor set up a solar microgrid in the village and distributed energy-efficient appliances. Its goal was to give poor households access to modern energy services. The study data were collected through a survey conducted among randomly selected households in the village. The survey found that such an electricity provision service had multidimensional benefits: flexible use of the energy service, more effective time allocation among women, more study time for students, improved indoor air quality, and safer public places. Given the initial unmet demand for modern energy in the village, technological interventions supported by policy has helped to expand consumption possibilities and new demand for services has emerged. The household-level frontier rebound effect is estimated to be more than 100%, reflecting a one-and-a-half times increase in the demand for illumination services among rural households. ВОЗМОЖНОСТИ ПРАКТИКУМА ДЛЯ ПРОВЕДЕНИЯ УЧЕБНЫХ ЗАНЯТИЙ ПО УЧЕБНОЙ ДИСЦИПЛИНЕ (РАЗДЕЛУ) «ОСНОВЫ КРИМИНОЛОГИИ» ДЛЯ ОРГАНИЗАЦИИ САМОСТОЯТЕЛЬНОЙ РАБОТЫ ОБУЧАЮЩИХСЯ

The article describes the possibilities of the workshop for conducting training sessions on the academic discipline (section) Fundamentals of Criminology for the organization of independent work of students. The purpose of the study was to consider options for independent educational activities of students when teaching the academic discipline (section) Fundamentals of Criminology for persons first recruited into the service of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation as an employee Policeman. Taking into account the peculiarities of the training of this category of persons, such as the detailed regulation of the study and extracurricular time of students and the additional load in the form of performing a variety of official duties, including at night (carrying orders, protecting public order, etc.), and as a result , there is little free personal time, the authors needed to find opportunities for a highquality organization of independent work of students, for which, in accordance with the approximate curriculum and the approximate calendar training schedule, 14 hours are allocated. This is an option when, for some reason, the student was absent from the training lesson, and he needs to fill in the missing training material. This is an option when the student shows a special interest in studying this academic discipline (section).
