Abstract

The article describes the possibilities of the workshop for conducting training sessions on the academic discipline (section) Fundamentals of Criminology for the organization of independent work of students. The purpose of the study was to consider options for independent educational activities of students when teaching the academic discipline (section) Fundamentals of Criminology for persons first recruited into the service of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation as an employee Policeman. Taking into account the peculiarities of the training of this category of persons, such as the detailed regulation of the study and extracurricular time of students and the additional load in the form of performing a variety of official duties, including at night (carrying orders, protecting public order, etc.), and as a result , there is little free personal time, the authors needed to find opportunities for a highquality organization of independent work of students, for which, in accordance with the approximate curriculum and the approximate calendar training schedule, 14 hours are allocated. This is an option when, for some reason, the student was absent from the training lesson, and he needs to fill in the missing training material. This is an option when the student shows a special interest in studying this academic discipline (section).
