Peningkatan Hasil Belajar PAK dengan Metode PBL Berbantuan Metode Reward Kelas V SDN 101791 Deli Serdang

This research is motivated by the problem, namely the low learning outcomes of students in Catholic Religion subjects regarding the subject of women and men being called to develop. The low learning outcomes of students are caused by various factors, including teachers still using domination methods in the learning process, causing the learning process to become passive and boring, also causes low student learning outcomes. In connection with the problems above, through the Problem Based Learning method, it is hoped that the right way to improve the quality of Catholic Religion learning at SDN 101791 Deli Serdang is to improve student learning outcomes with the help of Reward media. It is hoped that it can improve student learning outcomes regarding the material Women and Men are Called to Develop. The method used in this research is classroom action research (PTK), using the classroom action research model from Kemmis & McTaggart which consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. These four stages were carried out in two research cycles where each cycle focused on material about Women and Men Called to Develop using the PBL method. This research was carried out at SDN 101791 Deli Serdang with research subjects being class V students. The aim of this research is to find out whether the use of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Reward media can increase the creativity of Phase C students in class V on the material Women and Men Are Called to Develop. And to find out how the use of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Reward media can improve student learning outcomes. The results of the research in Chapter IV which has been presented in two cycles, and which have been analyzed, can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model can increase the creativity of Phase C students with the help of Reward Material: Women and Men Are Called to Develop, with an average student score of 77.75 in cycle 1 and cycle 2 there was an increase in the student average to 90.37, thus the student's independent learning results increased by 25% from the observation results of Cycle 1 and cycle 2, so reward media can improve student learning outcomes. The material for women and men is called to develop.

Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Pendidikan Agama Katolik Melalui Model Problem Based Learning Berbantukan Media Wordwall Game Kelas 5 SD Santo Yoseph 1 Medan

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education for 5th-grade students at SD Santo Yoseph 1 Medan through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model supported by the interactive media Wordwall Game. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, with each cycle comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection was carried out through learning outcome tests, observation, and documentation. The results indicate an improvement in student learning outcomes from Cycle 1 to Cycle 2. In Cycle 1, the average student score was 81.5, while in Cycle 2, it increased to 91. The application of the PBL model with the Wordwall Game media proved to be effective in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. This improvement was driven by a more engaging and interactive learning process, as well as the students' ability to think critically and solve problems. Therefore, the PBL model with the support of Wordwall Game can be widely implemented to improve learning quality.

Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas VII pada Materi Kemampuan dan Keterbatasanku Melalui PBL di SMP Negeri 02 Ketungau Hilir Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025

The provision of high-quality education is significantly influenced by key factors, specifically educators and students. Competent educators are likely to cultivate quality individuals, adhering to the philosophy that "people can only share and give to others what they possess." In the teaching and learning process, one of the key elements that facilitates successful learning is the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, which significantly enhances student independence, interest, and motivation in their educational pursuits. According to observations conducted by researchers at SMP Negeri 02 Ketungau Hilir, particularly in class VII, it has been determined that in Catholic Religious Education, teachers predominantly employ teacher-centered learning methods and have yet to implement the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. This approach has adversely impacted student learning outcomes, resulting in the failure to meet minimum completion criteria. Based on the findings from data analysis and discussions in this study, it can be concluded that the results regarding the enhancement of learning outcomes indicate a sustained improvement in Cycle II, where student performance rose by 82% from Cycle I to 100%. The average student score increased from 79.06 in Cycle I to 84.37 in Cycle II.

Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Tarutung Melalui Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada Pembelajaran Pak

This Classroom Action Research aims to improve the learning outcomes of class VII students in the Catholic Religious Education subject at SMP Negeri 2 Tarutung. There were 1 female and 7 male students who were research subjects in an effort to implement a problem-based learning model (Problem Based Learning). The research results showed that there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes after implementing the PBL learning model. In cycle I, the average student score was 71.25 with an achievement category of 2 adequate students and 6 proficient students. This indicates that there are still some students who have not achieved the expected competency. By implementing PBL more intensively and providing more targeted guidance, student learning outcomes have increased quite significantly. In cycle II, the average student score increased to 87.50 with the achievement category being 2 proficient students and 6 proficient students. This increase in learning outcomes shows that the PBL learning model is effective in increasing students' understanding of the Catholic Religious Education material I Have the Capabilities.

Meningkatkan Keaktifan Siswa Pembelajaran Pak Model PBL Berbasis Symbolic Way Kelas VII SMP Xaverius 2 Jambi

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in Catholic Religious Education and Character Education through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on the Symbolic Way. The issue faced is the lack of active student engagement in Catholic Religious Education classes. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The method believed to be effective in increasing student engagement is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on the Symbolic Way. The PBL model allows students to engage in learning knowledge related to the problem and develop skills to solve it, while the Symbolic Way as a learning medium refers to the use of self-symbols, representations, or visual aids that can help students understand more abstract concepts. The results show that the application of the PBL model based on the Symbolic Way significantly enhances student learning motivation. The average score of students in the implementation of PBL in the first cycle was 80, increasing to 90 in the second cycle. Additionally, observations of student activities indicate an increase in active participation during the learning process. Thus, it can be concluded that the PBL model is effective in enhancing students' active participation.

Meningkatkan Keaktifan Siswa Kelas IV Fase B dalam Pembelajaran Agama Katolik Melalui Model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) di SDN 15 Teluk Pongkal

This study aims to enhance the activity of fourth-grade students in Phase B of Catholic Religious Education at SDN 15 Teluk Pongkal through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. PBL was chosen because it encourages students to think critically and actively participate in the learning process. In this learning approach, students are engaged in solving problems that are relevant to their daily lives. The research findings indicate that the average test score of students significantly improved from 69 in Cycle 1 to 80 in Cycle 2. This increase reflects the effectiveness of the PBL model in enhancing the learning process. Additionally, the P3 observation data showed that student activity also rose, with an average of 53% in Cycle 1 and increasing to 67% in Cycle 2. Thus, the implementation of the PBL model not only improves students' academic scores but also strengthens their engagement in learning. Through this approach, students are expected to become more active, critical, and creative in addressing various problems they encounter. This study contributes significantly to the development of more interactive and engaging teaching methods, especially in the context of Catholic education.

The Impact of Parenting Styles of University Students' Parents on Parent-Child Relationships, and The Mediating Role of Neurotic Personality Traits

This paper aims to explore the influence of college students' parenting style on parent-child relationship and neurotic peopleWhether the lattice plays an intermediary role in it. Methods: Simple parenting style scale and parent-child relationship quantity were used. The questionnaire and the Big Five Personality Scale were used to investigate college students. Results: (1) Parental rearing of college students. There was a significant positive correlation between style and parent-child relationship (p<0.01). Neurotic personality and parent-child relationship There was a significant positive correlation (p<0.01) .Neurotic personality and parenting style existed A significant positive correlation. (4) There were gender differences in college students' parenting styles (t=2.351, p<0.05). Pengembangan Media Pop Up Book dalam Meningkatkan Budaya Literasi Program Pojok Baca di SMP Negeri 1 Berastagi

The research and development is titled “Development of Pop-Up Book Media in Enhancing Literacy Culture in the Reading Corner Program at SMP Negeri 1 Berastagi.”This development research aims to determine: (1) The design of pop-up book media; (2) The development of pop-up book media in enhancing student literacy; (3) The feasibility of pop-up book media in improving student literacy. This research is conducted using a Research and Development (R&D) model with the 4D model, which includes Define (definition), Design (design), Development (development), and Dissemination (dissemination). The subjects of this research are students of SMP Negeri 1 Berastagi, totaling 35 individuals. The instruments used in this research include questionnaires to assess the development, feasibility, and effectiveness of the media. Data analysis techniques include product data analysis, initial data analysis, and hypothesis testing.The results show that the pop-up book media received evaluations of 81% from media experts, 92% from material experts, and 65% from language experts. There was an average increase in student scores of 83%, indicating a significant change between pretest and posttest scores. The conclusion of the research is that the pop-up book media for drama content is suitable for use in literacy activities of the reading corner program. Recommendations for future research include being more meticulous in planning the development of pop-up book media, ensuring it aligns with the needs and characteristics of students.

The Effect of Mind Mapping on EFL High School Students’ Collocation Learning

The aim of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of mind mapping on Ethiopian secondary school students’ English collocation learning. The study specifically tried to check the effectiveness of mind mapping on adjective-preposition and verb-noun combination collocations. A sample of 110 grade 12 students who were learning in two sections at Majete General Secondary School, North Shoa Zone, Ethiopia, participated in the study. One of the two sections was randomly assigned to an experimental group, while the other one was labeled as a control group. A pre-test and two post-tests were used as data-gathering instruments. The data were analyzed by using mean scores, paired samples, and independent sample t-tests. The results revealed that although the two sections had no significant difference in their pre-test results, in the immediate and delayed post-tests, the score of adjective-preposition & verb-noun collocations of the experimental group students was significantly higher than the score of the control group students who learnt those collocations without mind map. Based on this, it could be concluded that using mind map was an effective strategy to improve EFL high-school students’ collocations learning. Accordingly, it is recommended that EFL teachers and students should use mind-map during their collocations lessons.

Problem-Based Learning Through Outdoor Learning or Conventional Learning: How is it Different for Science Subjects?

The research carried out aims to see how the problem-based learning model with outdoor study influences students' science learning outcomes compared to conventional learning models. The population of this research was 98 students of SMPN 12 Tanjung Jabung Timur, while the sample was 26 students of class VII A and 25 students of class VII B, taken using a purposive sampling technique where class VII A was the experimental class and class VI B as a control class. This research is quantitative research using a quasi-experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. The data collection technique used in this research was a multiple choice test and analyzed using the t-test to see differences in learning outcomes with two different learning models. Based on the results of tests carried out with 20 multiple choice questions, researchers found that there were striking differences in learning outcomes where the average posttest score for experimental class students was 60 while the control class was 39.8, which was then analyzed through paired difference tests (t-test) for looked at the differences and obtained results of 0.000 < 0.05, which means Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected, which can be concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes who use the problem-based learning model with outdoor study compared to the control class which in this case uses the conventional model. The findings obtained can strengthen evidence that the influence caused by the use of a problem-based learning model with outdoor study on the science learning outcomes of high school students is very good.

PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN ASSESSMENT WORDWALL TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMA

Learning motivation is an important thing that students must have in learning. Learning motivation is an encouragement for students to be able to carry out learning well to achieve a learning goal. However, not all learning processes can create good learning motivation for students, this also affects student learning outcomes, even though learning success can be seen one way from learning outcomes. student. This research aims, first, to determine the differences in learning motivation between students who use Wordwall assessment media and those who use test paper assessments. Second, to determine the difference in learning motivation between students who use Wordwall assessment media and those who use test paper assessment media. This research uses an experimental method with a Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The findings show that the average learning outcomes of students who use Wordwall assessment media are higher than students who use paper tests. Apart from that, the average learning motivation score of students who use Wordwall assessment media is higher than students who use paper tests. It can be sai, that this research has obtained results that show the influence of using wordwall assessment media on learning motivation and better learning outcomes because of its attractive features.

Vietnamese sixth graders' mathematical communication competency developed by teaching fraction topics using the 5E model

The 5E, an exploratory instructional model with growing popularity in current learner-centered educational practices, aims to develop learners' competencies. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching fractions using the 5E instructional model to develop students' mathematical communication competency (MCC). The researchers used mixed methods with data triangulation in a 38-student experiment group (EG) who learned with the 5E model and a 41-student control group (CG) using traditional learning approaches to clarify the impact of the 5E model on the development of MCC, academic performance and learning attitude among learners. The research instruments include a pre-test, post-test, classroom observation, and a student survey. Subsequently, the data collected were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using IBM SPSS Statistics (Version 26) predictive analytics software. The independent t-test on the post-test scores of the two groups revealed that the academic performance of EG after the intervention was significantly better than that of CG with the significance level α = 0.05 and degree of freedom df = 77, yielding the p-value (Sig. 2-tailed) = 0.001. Meanwhile, given the significance level α = 0.05, the p-value (Sig. 2-tailed) = 0.001 and the Pearson correlation coefficient (r = 0.943), the result of the paired sample t-test implies that the mean post-test score of students in EG was significantly higher than that of their pre-test. Furthermore, with an effect size of approximately 0.88, these figures suggest that applying the 5E model in the experimental process positively affected the academic performance of the students in EG and the development of MCC. A qualitative analysis using classroom observations and student surveys revealed that the 5E model helped students in the EG develop their MCC and an increasingly positive attitude toward learning. In addition to these findings, it also reveals some limitations of the study and proposes recommendations for future research.

The Implementation Of Teams Game Tournament (TGT) To Improve Students’ Writing Ability Of Second Grade Students In SMP Negeri 7 Padang

This study aimed to determine whether the implementation of the Teams Game Tournament (TGT) can improve students’ writing abilities in learning English of second grade students in SMP Negeri 7 Padang. The population was second grade students in SMP Negeri 7 Padang. The sample of this research was 33 students of VIII.5 class. This type of research was quantitative. The method used was a pre-experimental design, with one group pre-test and post-test. The result of the data showed that the average students score on the post-test was (89,45) higher that the average score on the pre-test (60.24). From the t-test, the study showed that the t-test value (11,54) is higher that t-table (1,697) at a significance level of 0,05 with degree freedom (df) = 32. This result meant that there was a significant difference. This indicated that the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted and the nul hypothesis (H0) was rejected. Hence, it can be concluded that the implementation of Teams Game Tournament (TGT) significantly improve students’ writing ability.

The Impact of The Global Café Strategy on Fourth Year Middle School Students in Physics for a Deep Understanding

Since it aims to find out (the impact of the global cafe strategy on fourth-year high school students in physics and their in-depth understanding), to verify this, the researcher developed the following null hypothesis: (there is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of female students in fourth-year high schools who will study physics according to the global cafe strategy and the mean scores of female students who will study the same subject according to the general method in the in-depth understanding test.) Therefore, the experimental method was used, and the tool used by the researcher was for the in-depth understanding test, the test consisted of (24) items between objective and essay items, division (a) was chosen to represent the experimental group and division (d) was chosen to represent the control group. Both groups were selected randomly. In addition, there was parity between the two research groups (in terms of chronological age calculated in months, and previous achievements for the academic year (2022-2023) for the third-year high school in physics, previous information test, intelligence test (otis-lenyon) and in-depth understanding test). The most important result achieved is (the existence of a statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average scores of female students from the experimental group who studied physics according to the global cafe strategy, and the average scores of female students from the control group who studied the same subject in the usual way in the in-depth understanding test in favor of the experimental group and based on the above. As a result, the researcher produced K sets of conclusions and recommendations, and the data were statistically processed using the ft test for two independent samples. Its validity and reliability were statistically verified.

The Impact of an Instructional Package Based on a Virtual Lab on the Achievement of First-Grade Intermediate School Students in Chemistry

The current research aims to identify the impact of an instructional package based on a virtual lab on the achievement of first-year intermediate school students in chemistry. To achieve the research objective, the following null hypothesis was formulated: "There is no statistically significant difference at the 0.05 level of significance between the mean scores of the experimental group students who study according to an instructional package based on a virtual lab and the mean scores of the control group students who study according to the traditional method in chemistry achievement." The quasi-experimental design with partial control (an experimental group and a control group) with unequal numbers and a post-test in achievement was chosen. The sample consisted of 66 students from Al-Qadisiyah Intermediate School for Boys, selected randomly. The experimental group consisted of 34 students who studied according to the instructional package based on a virtual lab, and the control group consisted of 32 students who studied according to the traditional method. The experimental and control groups were equalized in terms of variables: age (in months), general average grades for the sixth grade, prior knowledge, and parental education level. A total of 24 daily teaching plans were prepared for both the experimental and control groups. The teaching plans for the experimental group were organized according to an instructional package based on a virtual lab, while the teaching plans for the control group were organized according to the traditional method. The data were statistically processed using the SPSS package for two independent samples with unequal numbers. The results showed that the experimental group, which studied according to the instructional package based on a virtual lab, outperformed their peers in the control group, who studied using the traditional method in the achievement test. Therefore, the current study recommends using an instructional package based on a virtual lab in teaching chemistry and suggests conducting further studies on different stages and subjects to identify its impact on various variables.

The Influence of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) Model on Student's Science Process Skills and Critical Thinking

Applying the project-based learning model in learning can train and develop scientific attitudes and problem-solving skills so that students can increase creativity, innovation, and critical perspectives. This research aims to determine the effect of the project-based learning model on student's science process skills and critical thinking. The research subjects of class X Phase E. This research was quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research design with a non-randomized control-group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used are essay questions on science process skills and critical thinking. The test results were analyzed using Quade's rank analysis of covariance statistical test and the One Way Ancova test. The research results show that the average pretest-posttest score of experimental class students taught using the project-based learning model is higher than that of control class students taught using the problem-based learning (PBL) model. Hypothesis testing using Quade's rank analysis of Covariance and One Way Ancova tets informs that the use of the project-based (PjBL) model affects student's science process skills and critical thinking.

Understanding the role of a general education course Oral Science in establishing oral health knowledge and behaviors among undergraduate students from different majors: a questionnaire-based study.

The general education course, Oral Science, has been offered by Guanghua School of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University for many years in order to improve students' knowledge of oral health. Information about the oral health knowledge, status, and behaviors among undergraduates who had taken Oral Science was collected to evaluate the impact of this course, and to provide a basis for further improvement of the course teaching quality. Undergraduates taking Oral Science as an elective course were selected as the research subjects. The research time is the second semester of the 2022 academic year, from February 2023 to June 2023. Undergraduates who had not taken the course served as the control group. To investigate the oral health knowledge, status, and behaviors among undergraduate students who have taken the general education course of Oral Science, course students and non-course students were asked to fill out the same questionnaire at both the beginning and end of semester. The answer scores and accuracy of these two groups were compared and analyzed. Before and after the first lesson, and at the end of the semester, course students were asked to fill out the same oral knowledge questionnaire. Another questionnaire was released in week 10 to collect the data of the course students' oral health status and behaviors. The control group completed the same oral knowledge questionnaire at the beginning and end of the semester, respectively. SPSS 20.0 statistical software was used to analyze the data. Statistical significance level was set at 0.05 for all tests. At the beginning of the semester, there was no significant difference in the accuracy of the 16 questions nor the scores between two groups (P > 0.05). After one semester of learning, the accuracy of the 16 questions answered by the course students at the end of the semester was significantly higher (P < 0.05), as well as the score of the course students. The general education course of Oral Science can significantly improve undergraduates' general knowledge of dentistry and effectively improve their oral hygiene behavior.

Evaluation of a Social Determinant of Health: Academic Achievement Through Physical Education Policy Regarding Time

Physical activity can meaningfully influence educational outcomes, yet, remains insufficient among youth (World Health Organization, 2018). Youth who are not physically active are more likely to encounter chronic health issues including obesity, depression, and anxiety (Bartelink et al., 2019, Bélair et al., 2018, Krebs, 2003).School-sponsored physical education (PE) is one way for students to participate in physical activity. However, state policies allotting time for PE vary nationally. Furthermore, many schools respond to pressures of increasing student standardized test scores by replacing structured time in PE with more time in tested subjects (Center on Education Policy, 2007, 2008). This study explores national associations of PE time policies and academic achievement on standardized tests through a fixed effects panel data analysis. The change in PE policies, as measured by mandated PE time, significantly predicted mean reading and math performance. Findings enhance the limited literature on PE policy associations with academic achievement.

Comparing the Student Learning Outcomes and Teaching Satisfaction of Conventional Lecture and Team-Based Learning Methods

Students hesitate to pursue subjects like biochemistry and manifest a lack of participation and motivation during conventional lectures. However, team-based learning facilitates interactive learning through discussion and improves learning outcomes. Objective: To compare the student learning outcomes and teaching satisfaction from team-based learning and conventional learning among medical students. Methods: A prospective study was conducted in Rahbar Medical College from December 2023 to May 2024. A total of 100 undergraduate students aged from 19 to 22 years studying biochemistry course were selected for the study. A total of 16 classes were conducted for teaching biochemistry among which 8 were taught by conventional lecture method and the rest 8 were taught by team-based learning. Students were instructed to fill out a student satisfaction scale questionnaire consisting of 20 questions at the end of the last TBL session. Results: The mean score of conventional lectures was 11.85 ± 1.54 with a maximum score of 15.5 and minimum score of 10 out of 20. The highest score was obtained by group assessment readiness test i.e. 16.25 ± 1.05. The mean score of conventional and TBL methods was 14.10 ± 1.12, with a minimum score of 12.20, and a maximum score of 15.95 out of 20 (P=0.016). Overall satisfaction scores in females were higher than in males (p&lt;0.001). The mean student satisfaction score was 81.27 ± 9.18. Conclusion: Team-based learning yields better learning outcomes and teaching satisfaction in medical students as compared to conventional lecture methods. These results were also improved in female students than in males.

The Effectiveness of Practical Training in Social Work on Improving the Skills of University Students

The purpose of this research was to determine whether or not social work students' communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking, teamwork, and professional abilities were enhanced by practical training. Additionally, it aimed to compare these abilities across students at Jordan's Al-Zaytoonah University and those at Al-Balqa Applied University. One hundred twenty male and female students from two Jordanian universities—Al-Zaytoonah and Al-Balqa Applied University—made up the study's sample. Mathematical means and standard deviations were utilized to analyze the findings of a questionnaire that assessed the various skills. The results demonstrated that students at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan had better practical communication skills on average, with an average score of 4.567 (±0.398) on the "Communicating Clearly" ability test, compared to 4.123 (±0.462) at Al-Balqa Applied University. The average score for problem-solving strategies applied by students at Al-Zaytoonah University was 4.678 (±0.481), whereas the average score for students at Al-Balqa University was 4.234 (±0.532). In the paragraph "Working effectively within teams," students from Al-Zaytoonah University had an average score of 4.567 (±0.463) while students from Al-Balqa University had an average score of 4.123 (±0.484). As for professional skills, the results demonstrated that students at Al-Zaytoonah University outperformed their counterparts at Al-Balqa Applied University. The former had an average skill of "Applying academic knowledge" of 4.567 (±0.420), while the latter had 4.123 (±0.472).
