The principal is a role model who must be able to improve the quality of the school in carrying out the student management function which includes students, teachers and school physics, in the management of student management it is the most important thing to make optimal student conditions so that schools have quality, student management, school principals have a very significant and very basic role, starting from the admission of new students, student development or self-development to the student graduation process. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of the principal and teacher in student management at SDK Santa Maria Ratu Rosari Gianyar. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data were taken by means of interviews, observation and documentation studies. In this study, the subjects of this study were the principal, vice principal for curriculum and student affairs, as well as several students and teachers in the field of study and administrative staff at this school. Based on the results of research and data analysis and conclusions, it was found that; 1) the principal has a function that greatly influences the development of the school, both school progress, student achievement and student character development. The ongoing student management process is in accordance with the plans previously prepared by the school in accordance with technical instructions from the education office. 2. Student management management of SD Santa Maria Ratu Rosari Gianyar is managed by student teachers, classroom teachers and education staff who have been appointed by the principal with the principal as the person in charge. The management of student management itself begins with planning for new student admissions by adjusting the capacity previously adapted to existing infrastructure and existing teachers and education personnel, then admitting new students, organizing students, student orientation, student coaching and service, and student assessment.

Peran Kerjasama Organisasi Sekolah Dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Pendidikan Di MTs YLPI Ibaadurrahman

This study aims to analyze the role of school organizational cooperation in improving the quality of education at MTs YLPI Ibaadurrahman. School organizational cooperation has a significant role in creating a quality and competitive educational environment. Through close cooperation between all relevant parties, including school leaders, teachers, students and parents, various initiatives and programs can be implemented effectively. This research uses a qualitative approach by collecting data through interviews, observations, and document analysis related to school organizational cooperation at MTs YLPI Ibaadurrahman. The collected data were analyzed thematically to identify the role and impact of school organizational cooperation on the quality of education. The results showed that school organizational cooperation at MTs YLPI Ibaadurrahman has an important role in improving the quality of education. Through synergistic cooperation, school organizations can carry out various activities, such as curriculum development, teacher training, student coaching, and procurement of adequate educational resources. This cooperation also includes collaboration with parents in supporting home learning and optimizing their role as educational partners. In the context of MTs YLPI Ibaadurrahman, the cooperation of school organizations has had a positive impact on the quality of education. This can be seen from the increase in student academic achievement, increased student participation in extracurricular activities, and increased parental satisfaction with the learning process. In addition, this collaboration also contributes to creating an inclusive, harmonious and supportive school climate. In conclusion, school organizational cooperation has an important role in improving the quality of education at MTs YLPI Ibaadurrahman. With close cooperation between school leaders, teachers, students and parents, various programs and initiatives can be carried out effectively, thus creating a quality and competitive educational environment. It is recommended that this collaboration continue to be improved and implemented on an ongoing basis to optimize the quality of education and produce quality graduates.

Planning Leadership in Managing Boarding School

This study aims to examine the leadership role of the principal in managing the boarding school dormitories at SMA N 3 Kayuagung. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach and data was collected through interviews, observation and document analysis. The results of the study show that the principal’s leadership has an important role in creating a conducive environment, managing resources, developing student coaching programs, and building collaboration with various related parties. The school principal is also responsible for ensuring adequate facilities and infrastructure as well as the welfare of students in boarding school dormitories. This research provides insight into the importance of principal leadership in managing boarding school dormitories and provides suggestions for further development at SMA N 3 Kayuagung.

Tinjauan Urgensi Manajemen Kesiswaan Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Peserta Didik

Student management is a process of managing all matters relating to student in a school starting from planning student admission, coaching carried out while students are at school, until students complete their education at school throught creating a learning atmosphere that is condusive to the on going learning process affective teaching or learning. With student management, institutions can organize student affairs both in terms of student need, recruitment, selection, orientation, class placement, and coaching and development of students both in curricular and extracurricular and more importantly recording and reporting of graduation result, and recording of student who continue other education and alumni. The generalobjective of student management is to regulate all activities related to students so that these activities can support the teaching and learning process in schools, so that activities can run smoothly, orderly, and can contributed to achieving school goals and overall education goals

Effect of Audiovisual Media on the Level of Knowledge of Boarding Students of the West Sumatra Student Coaching and Sports Training Center about the Occurrence of Avulsion

Abstract: Dental trauma inter alia tooth avulsion is often found among athletes especially of contact sports. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of audiovisual media on the level of knowledge of boarding students of the West Sumatra Student Coaching and Sports Training Center about the occurrence of avulsion. This was a pre-experiment quantitative study with one group pretest-posttest design. The population were all athletes of the Center for Coaching and Sports Training of Students West Sumatera in soccer, athletics, sepak takraw, gymnastics, archery, bicycle, judo, karate, wrestling, boxing, taekwondo and pencak silat. There were 116 respondents obtained by using purposive sampling techniques. We used questionnaires as the research instrument. Data were analyzed with the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that the average knowledge before the the audio-visual media intervention was 10.39 and after the intervention was 12.43. The non-parametric Wilcoxon test showed a significancy of 0.000 (<0.05) which meant that there was an effect of audio-visual media intervention on the knowledge level of respondents. In conclusion, there is a significant effect of the audio-visual media intervention on the level of knowledge of the students of the West Sumatra Coaching and Sports Training Center about the occurrence of avulsion. MANAJEMEN PESERTA DIDIK UPT SMP NEGERI 19 GRESIK

Student management can be a vehicle for raising school standards and performance. In order for students to succeed in an institution, there must be effective management of students with the aim of controlling students from the time they first enroll in school until they graduate. This study aims to determine the management of students which includes planning, coaching, evaluation, and transfer of students at UPT SMP Negeri 19 Gresik, and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study used a phenomenon-oriented and qualitative approach, data collection was carried out by means of observation and interviews, documentation was then analyzed, and checked the validity of the data, was then presented. The results of this study are first that the management of students at UPT SMP Negeri 19 Gresik has been carried out optimally, and the two main supporting factors are the support of all educators and education staff and collaboration with student guardians, while the main obstacle is the limited facilities and the lack of funds for supervising extracurricular activities of participants educate.

Understanding medical student paths to communication skills expertise using latent profile analysis

Purpose To describe patterns of clinical communication skills that inform curriculum enhancement and guide coaching of medical students. Materials and methods Performance data from 1182 consenting third year medical students in 9 cohorts (2011–2019), on a 17-item Clinical Communication Skills Assessment Tool (CCSAT) completed by trained Standardized Patients as part of an eight case high stakes Comprehensive Clinical Skills Exam (CCSE) were analyzed using latent profile analysis (LPA). Assessment domains included: information gathering (6 items), relationship development (5 items), patient education (3 items), and organization/time management (3 items). LPA clustered learners with similar strength/weakness into profiles based on item response patterns across cases. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) assessed for significant differences by profile for CCSAT items. Results Student performance clustered into six profiles in three groups, high performing (HP1 and HP2-Low Patient Education, 15.7%), average performing (AP1 and AP2-Interrupters, 40.9%), and lower performing profiles (LP1-Non-interrupters and LP2, 43.4%) with adequate model fit estimations and similar distribution in each cohort. We identified 3 CCSAT items that discriminated among learner’s skill profiles. Conclusion Clinical communication skill performance profiles provide nuanced, benchmarked guidance for curriculum improvement and tailoring of communication skills coaching.

Student Management In Developing Students' Emotional Intelligence

The focus of this research is such as (1) The planning of new students’ acceptance in the development of emotional intelligence of students at Kediri MTs. Ma’murotul Husna Middle School, (2) Classification of students in developing emotional intelligence of students at Kediri MTs. Ma’murotul Husna Middle School, (3) Implementation of student coaching in the development emotional intelligence of students at Kediri MTs. Ma’murotul Husna Middle School. This research if viewed from the sources of data, this study used primary and secondary data. While the type of data, the approach used includes qualitative research that produced the descriptive explanation. The technique of data collection in this study used three techniques, namely in-depth interview, participant observation, and study documentation. The data that has been collected is then analyzed in a parent's manner with three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion.The result of this research included: (1) Planning for admission of new students in the development of emotional intelligence in MTs. Ma’murotul Husna Middle School produces a plan for developing emotional intelligence of students, namely by having a policy regarding the acceptance of all prospective students who register either normal or children with especiality necessary. (2) The grouping of students in the development of emotional intelligence produced several parts which include class grouping based on the result of test that include children's learning abilitiy such as diagnostic test and IQ test, then there are extracurricular grouping based on talent and interest that exist in each student , and grouping learning to learn the method of Yanbu'a that are tailored to the ability of students. (3) The implementation of coaching there are three categories, namely disciplinary coaching that madethe students have emotional condition such as responsibility, academic coaching and non-academic coaching, each coaching is able to develop emotional students such as activities inside or outside classroom such as motivate themselves and responsible for carrying out these activities. Not only responsibility but also confidence, honesty, have empathy and foster good relations between the teachers and the fellow students..

A Portfolio Coach-Informed Professional Development Framework.

A majority of US medical schools have incorporated faculty coach-supported educational portfolios into the curriculum. Existing research describes coach professional development, competencies, and program perceptions. However, limited research exists on how programs address coach professional development needs. Our sequential objectives were to (1) explore faculty coach professional development experiences within medical student coaching programs and (2) develop a preliminary framework for medical faculty coach professional development. Faculty portfolio coaches who completed 4 years of a longitudinal coaching program were recruited to complete a semi-structured exit interview. Interviews were transcribed using detailed transcription. Two analysts inductively generated a codebook of parent and child codes to identify themes. They compared themes to the professional development model proposed by O'Sullivan and Irby. Of the 25 eligible coaches, 15 completed the interview. Our team organized themes into two broad domains paralleling the established model: program-specific professional development and career-relevant professional development. Four program-specific professional development themes emerged: doing; modeling; relating; and hosting. Three career-relevant professional development themes emerged: advancement; meaning; and understanding. We then applied themes within each domain to propose strategies to optimize coach professional development and develop a framework modeled after O'Sullivan and Irby. To our knowledge, we propose the first portfolio coach-informed framework for professional development. Our work builds on established standards, expert opinion, and research responsible for portfolio coach professional development and competencies. Allied health institutions with portfolio coaching programs can apply the framework for professional development innovation.

Linguistic coaching: a pilot study of one-to-one near-peer coaching for international GP trainees in Yorkshire

ABSTRACT Introduction International medical graduates (IMGs) have a higher rate of examination failure and are more likely to be referred to the regulator for professional performance issues than their UK-trained counterparts. Support for IMGs to reduce differential attainment takes many forms. A pilot study to assess the feasibility and utility of early intervention to increase the support available for IMGs entering general practice (GP) training was undertaken. Method IMGs entering GP training in one UK region were offered one-to-one, near-peer linguistic coaching during their first two weeks of training. A session focusing on cultural acclimatisation, local accent and dialect using mock patient consultations was delivered and evaluated. Results The coaching was valued by the trainees and the intervention allowed very early identification of a trainee who needed further support. It was possible to identify such trainees using a non-medical volunteer student coach. Discussion Use of a non-medical, near-peer coach for one-to-one linguistic support has not previously been described for IMGs. This pilot study confirms the acceptability and utility of this approach. Early identification of trainees requiring enhanced support allows targeted interventions in a time-pressured speciality training programme. Further study with a larger-scale and longer-term coaching programme, assessing trainee feedback and uptake of early supportive intervention is recommended.

In the shadow of COVID-19: A randomized controlled online ACT trial promoting adolescent psychological flexibility and self-compassion

BackgroundAlthough some adolescents managed to cope well with the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the well-being of many was adversely affected due to school closures, distance education, restrictions on gathering with friends, and limited access to mental health services. Many adolescents reported increased anxiety and depression as well as decreased psychological wellbeing due to the pandemic. Consequently, there is a need for psychological support that exceeds the strained resources available to schools to support young people during times of crisis and societal pressure. ObjectiveThe present study aimed to explore the effects of an online-delivered ACT intervention to promote adolescent psychological flexibility and self-compassion and decrease psychological distress during the second wave of COVID-19 in the fall of 2020. MethodsA total of 348 adolescents aged 15–16 were randomly divided into three equal groups: 1) the iACT student coach + virtual coach group, n = 116; 2) the iACT virtual coach group, n = 116; and 3) the control group with no intervention, n = 116). Among these adolescents, 234 participated in a pre-measurement (iACT, n = 154; control, n = 80; intent-to-treat) and completed measures of psychological flexibility, self-compassion, anxiety, and depression. ResultsAn investigation of all the adolescents who participated in the pre-measurement (intent-to-treat analysis, n = 234) revealed no significant differences between the three groups with regard to psychological flexibility, self-compassion, and symptoms of anxiety and depression. However, upon combining the two intervention groups and examining the adolescents who completed at least 30% of the Youth Compass program (per-protocol analysis, n = 137), small but significant differences between the iACT intervention and control groups were found regarding the psychological flexibility subscale valued action, self-compassion, and anxiety in favor of the intervention group. ConclusionsActive use of an ACT-based online intervention under adverse circumstances may decrease symptoms of anxiety and increase psychological flexibility skills in adolescents.

Ekplorasi Pelaku Bullying di Pesantren

Bullying is a behavior that is carried out intentionally with the aim of hurting the target (victim) and the action is carried out repeatedly at school or anywhere. In the past, cases of bullying in Islamic boarding schools were still common and even increasing. Such as the case of bullying which led to a beating by a student at one of the Islamic boarding schools until the death of a student who became a victim of bullying. So based on the above background, the researcher aims to explore the experience of the perpetrators in carrying out bullying actions while at the pesantren. The study wanted to explore the experiences of students who were bullies in Islamic boarding schools by using a qualitative descriptive phenomenological design, namely exploring directly, analyzing, and describing the phenomena that were studied to the fullest. Participants in the study were students who became perpetrators of bullying in Islamic boarding schools. Snowball sampling is a data source sampling technique. Information is obtained from the student coach. The research instrument is the researcher himself. The researcher as an instrument, the researcher collects the data himself through documentation, behavioral observation or in-depth interviews with the participants. Data analysis in qualitative research using the Colaizzi model. The location of the research was carried out in a dormitory in one of the Islamic boarding schools in Jombang. This study conducted interviews with 5 participants which resulted in four themes including: 1) mentally weakened, 2) tortured, 3) gained power, 4) inner satisfaction.

EVALUASI PENYELENGGARAAN PROGRAM SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS NEGERI BINAAN KHUSUS KOTA DUMAI

This research has the purpose to know the implementation of Binaan Khusus Public Senior High School Of Dumai City. Research is focused on (1) Program to improve the quality of teachers and education personnel of Binaan Khusus Public Senior High School Of Dumai City, (2) Standard improvement program for facilities and infrastructure of Binaan Khusus Public High School Of Dumai City, (3) Student coaching program of Binaan Khusus Public Senior High School Of Dumai City. The theory that is used to evaluate Binaan Khusus Public Senior High School Of Dumai City programs is the theory put forward by Stufflebeam is the CIPP (Context, Input, Process dan Product) model theory. The research conducted is descriptive using a qualitative approach. A qualitative descriptive approach is used to describe the research findings as they are. Data collection was done by documentation, interviews, and observations. The research findings are presented in the form of interview transcripts supported by observations and documentation. This is done by triangulation steps, member checks, and peer examination. The research results show that : (1) Binaan Khusus Public Senior High School Of Dumai City has made an effort to improve the quality of teachers ad education personnel, (2) Binaan Khusus Public Senior High School Of Dumai City is already made effort to improve the standard of facilities and infrastructure, and (3) Binaan Khusus Public Senior High School Of Dumai City have carried out the maximum coaching of students.

Coaching Model of Student Participant Competency Competence (A MultiSite Study at SMKN 2 Kandangan & SMKN 5 Banjarmasin)

This study aims to analyze and describe student development, school policies and differences in student coaching strategies for student participants in schools participating in the Wall and Floor Tilling competency competition at the South Kalimantan province level. The research approach used was qualitative with the type of case study. The research instrument wa s the researchers themselves. The data were collected by using interviews, observation, and documentation. The research participants were determined by purposive sampling technique. The data analysis techniques consisted of data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The validity of the data used observation extension techniques, increasing persistence, reference materials, triangulation, and member check. The results of the study suggested that on both sites the student development model for LKS participants is in accordance with the competency-based training model. The coaching process has been going well, as evidenced by the determination of student participants from the selection results, the determination of supervising teachers from the appointment of vocational teachers, the coaching process by providing training and selection to students. The scheduled training was done with basic knowledge and skills as well as practice of using previous competition jobsheets. The policies of the two sites include the use of activity budgets, adequate infrastructure, school support in terms of moral and material. Differences were found in student coaching. At SMKN 2 Kandangan, it is carried out in extracurricular activities for the competition, while at SMKN 5 Banjarmasin in co-curricular activities outside the KBM schedule. Then, training facilities at SMKN 2 Kandangan have special walls with 3 different types of pedestals and use alternative cement materials for cost savings and training. Meanwhile, t here are more parties involved in coaching SMKN 2 Kandangan participants, from alumni who have won nationalinternational champions, teachers who have served and trainers from national vocational training centers.

The Coaching Model for Prospective Science and Mathematics Teachers from the Achievement and KIPK Paths

Analysis of students' achievement in 2019 found new facts that there was a tendency to decrease in achievement from the achievement path and the Indonesian Smart College Card students. The percentage of students' achievement from both paths is less than 5%. This study aims to develop a student achievement coaching model for prospective science and mathematics teachers from the achievement and KIPK paths. The research uses research and development methods to develop a student coaching model involving education management experts to validate the model. The study obtained results where the student achievement coaching model was declared suitable for use by experts. The results of a large-scale model applicability test involve 240 prospective science and mathematics teachers. The percentage of students who made achievement for one semester from the achievement path was 16%, and from the KIPK path was 25%. The coaching model increased students' achievements, which was less than 5% for both paths. In conclusion, the student achievement coaching model from this research can be a new way to continue the culture to make achievements during school and college.

Student coaching in a rural community fall prevention program: An exploratory study

ABSTRACT Falls are a significant cause of disability internationally. The purpose of this exploratory study was to examine the effectiveness of a community fall prevention program, Stepping On (SO), using nine student physical therapists and program faculty in a rural setting. A mixed-methods design was utilized. Students partnered with older adults to master exercises, demonstrate floor recovery techniques, and manage community navigation in line with program fidelity. A descriptive survey assessed program outcomes. Students participated in a follow-up focus group to discuss perspectives on their role in the program. One hundred and seventeen community-dwelling older adults (mean age: 75.2 ± 8.5) completed the program. Participants who lived alone were likely to limit their activities because of fear of falling (p = .045). Following SO most subjects (87.7%) described having a better understanding of falls and their causes, with a plan to arise from the floor (82.6%). Focus group themes underscored students’ opportunity to facilitate, reinforce safety during mobility activities, and motivate participants. Furthermore, an increased awareness of other professions’ contribution to fall prevention was noted. Following a community fall prevention program, older adults have a better understanding of fall prevention and plan for floor recovery. In turn, student coaching skills are reinforced.

A student coaching in practice (SCiP) approach: the impact on adult field pre-registration nursing students.

A 'student coaching in practice' (SCiP) approach, based on the OSCAR and GROW model of coaching, was implemented across three UK NHS trusts in the West Midlands, involving seven placement areas that consisted of both acute and community hospital settings. To explore the impact of a SCiP approach on preparing students for their next stage of learning and perceived confidence. Seventy nursing students across Years 1, 2 and 3 of their BSc (Hons) programme took part in the study through completing an evaluative survey consisting of both quantitative and qualitative responses. Ethical approval was obtained by the host university. Participants across each year group found SCiP beneficial in developing learning and skills in practice, helped them prepare for the next stage of learning or registration, and increased perceived confidence. Students in year 1 and year 3 of their nursing programme gave the most positive responses. Implementing SCiP resulted in the expansion of placement capacity.

“It’s All About the Trust And Building A Foundation:” Evaluation of a Longitudinal Medical Student Coaching Program

Problem Coaching is increasingly implemented in medical education to support learners’ growth, learning, and wellbeing. Data demonstrating the impact of longitudinal coaching programs are needed. Intervention We developed and evaluated a comprehensive longitudinal medical student coaching program designed to achieve three aims for students: fostering personal and professional development, advancing physician skills with a growth mindset, and promoting student wellbeing and belonging within an inclusive learning community. We also sought to advance coaches’ development as faculty through satisfying education roles with structured training. Students meet with coaches weekly for the first 17 months of medical school for patient care and health systems skills learning, and at least twice yearly throughout the remainder of medical school for individual progress and planning meetings and small-group discussions about professional identity. Using the developmental evaluation framework, we iteratively evaluated the program over the first five years of implementation with multiple quantitative and qualitative measures of students’ and coaches’ experiences related to the three aims. Context The University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine, developed a longitudinal coaching program in 2016 for medical students alongside reform of the four-year curriculum. The coaching program addressed unmet student needs for a longitudinal, non-evaluative relationship with a coach to support their development, shape their approach to learning, and promote belonging and community. Impact In surveys and focus groups, students reported high satisfaction with coaching in measures of the three program aims. They appreciated coaches’ availability and guidance for the range of academic, personal, career, and other questions they had throughout medical school. Students endorsed the value of a longitudinal relationship and coaches’ ability to meet their changing needs over time. Students rated coaches’ teaching of foundational clinical skills highly. Students observed coaches learning some clinical skills with them – skills outside a coach’s daily practice. Students also raised some concerns about variability among coaches. Attention to wellbeing and belonging to a learning community were program highlights for students. Coaches benefited from relationships with students and other coaches and welcomed the professional development to equip them to support all student needs. Lessons Learned Students perceive that a comprehensive medical student coaching program can achieve aims to promote their development and provide support. Within a non-evaluative longitudinal coach relationship, students build skills in driving their own learning and improvement. Coaches experience a satisfying yet challenging role. Ongoing faculty development within a coach community and funding for the role seem essential for coaches to fulfill their responsibilities.

Improving Student Quality Through Extracurricular Programs: Case Study on Ma’had IAIN Padangsidimpuan

This research was motivated by the increasing learning outcomes obtained by some students after joining the ma'had program. Especially in semester III, there were many students who took lectures to semester IV, due to the GPA (Grade Point Average) they obtained and also the participation of students in scientific forums both locally and nationally. The research problem formulations were what ma'had programs in improving the quality of students, how to do it and how the evaluation system was. This study aimed to determine ma'had programs in improving the quality of students, how to do it and the evaluation system. The purpose of this research was to broaden the knowledge about student coaching. The discussion of this research related to the theory of quality improvement, extracurricular programs and ma'had or boarding schools. The research used descriptive method, the number of respondents was 25 from ma'had coaches, the instrument used observation and interviews, while the analysis of data by compiling data editors, selecting data, describing data and drawing conclusions. The results of this study therewere six ma'had programs in improving the quality of students at IAIN Padangsidimpuan. The ways to do the program were arranging the daily, weekly schedule and doing the program. The evaluation system was carried out following odd and even semester examinations. The forms of the test were oral, written and practical. If it was related with improving the quality of students, there was clearly an increase in quality that classified as high, medium and low
