Automatic animal monitoring systems based on AutoML technologies

In contemporary agricultural contexts, the sector is experiencing active processes of automation, underscoring the need for effective tools to develop such automated systems. The utilization of automation tools enhances the efficiency of numerous processes, including those in the domain of animal monitoring. This article examines the application of the AutoML approach as a means for automating the process of generating deep learning models employed in automatic monitoring systems. The VGG19 architecture has been chosen as a testbed for demonstrating the capabilities of the developed technologies. This well-established architecture for deep learning models is designed for object recognition in images.The present study implements a technology for automated structural-parametric synthesis of VGG19 models and the optimization of their hyperparameters. Such an approach allows for the automated creation of models tailored to specific applied problems, even for users lacking specialized knowledge in deep learning.The system delineated in this work is developed on the AutoGenNet software platform, which embodies the No-Code development concept. This concept conceals complex aspects of model creation and training processes from users, significantly lowering the entry barrier for newcomers. Additionally, the AutoGenNet platform incorporates a mechanism for the automatic generation of software wrappers, facilitating efficient interaction with trained models.All aforementioned aspects have contributed to the effective implementation of the AutoML approach for automating the generation and training processes of the VGG19 model. Consequently, the processes associated with solving automatic monitoring tasks reliant on deep learning models have been significantly simplified and expedited.The developed system has been tested on the task of recognizing individual cows. Test results indicated that the system possesses a high degree of scalability and can be adapted for the automated generation of other object recognition models, thereby opening avenues for addressing a diverse array of applied challenges related to the monitoring of various animal species.

Structural–Parametric Synthesis of Path-Generating Mechanisms and Manipulators

This paper presents a structural–parametric synthesis of the four-link and Stephenson I, Stephenson II, and Stephenson III six-link path-generating mechanisms. The four-link path-generating mechanism is formed by connecting the output point and the base using an active closing kinematic chain (CKC) with two DOFs and a negative CKC of the type RR. The six-link path-generating mechanisms are formed by connecting the output point and the base by active, passive and negative CKCs. Active CKC has active kinematic pair, passive CKC has zero DOF, and negative CKC has a negative DOF. Active and negative CKCs impose geometrical constraints on the movement of the output point, and the geometric parameters of their links are determined by least-square approximation. Geometric parameters of the passive CKC are varied to satisfy the geometrical constraints of the active and negative CKCs. The CKCs of the active, passive and negative types, connecting the output point and the base, are the structural modules from which the different types of the path-generating mechanisms are synthesized. Numerical examples of the parametric synthesis of the four-link and six-link path-generating mechanisms are presented.

Structural – parametric synthesis of a parallel manipulator with two grips

This paper describes the methods of structural-parametric synthesis of a parallel manipulator PM with two grippers, which can be used for reloading operations between two adjacent main technological equipment in a cold stamping technological line. This PM is formed by connecting two grippers end – effectors with a base using two passive and one negative closing kinematic chains (CKC).

Structural–parametric synthesis of single-loop 6R and 7R mechanisms using factorization of motion polynomials and its application in grippers

Abstract In this study, the so-called quasi-spiral motion pattern of a particular 3R (revolute) chain, which could track a quasi-spiral curve, is discovered for application in envelope gripping. Naturally, a novel perspective on the synthesis of 1-DOF (degree of freedom) single-loop 6R and 7R mechanisms is presented to implement the quasi-spiral motion pattern. In these processes, the method of factorization of the motion polynomial is used to synthesize a series of single-loop mechanisms with the motion to generate quasi-spiral curves. By employing the proposed method, numerous innovative 6R and 7R mechanisms have been developed to construct dual layers of grippers based on specific network regulations. Taking a novel 6R mechanism as an example, the forward solution of the mechanism is determined, and the relationship between different rotation angles is obtained. Then, displaying the changes in each angle during the grasping process. Finally, the novel 6R and 7R mechanisms are employed as a unit to determine the networking method and assemble new types of grippers. Grippers formed by the aforementioned 1-DOF mechanisms exhibit the characteristics of envelope grasping.

Structural–Parametric Synthesis of the Planar Four-Bar and Six-Bar Function Generators With Revolute Joints

Abstract This paper studies a structural–parametric synthesis of the four-bar and Stephenson II, Stephenson III A, and Stephenson III B six-bar function generators. A four-bar function generator is formed by connecting two coordinate systems with given angles of rotation using a negative closing kinematic chain (CKC) of the RR type. Six-bar function generators are formed by connecting two coordinate systems using two CKCs: a passive CKC of the RRR type and a negative CKC of the RR type. The negative CKC of the RR type imposes one geometrical constraint to the relative motion of the links, and its geometric parameters are defined by least-squares approximation. Passive CKC of the RRR type does not impose a geometrical constraint, and the geometric parameters of its links are varied to satisfy the geometrical constraint of the negative CKC. Numerical results of the four-bar and six-bar function generators parametric synthesis are presented.

Mathematical Models for the Design of GRID Systems to Solve Resource-Intensive Problems

Artificial neural networks are successfully used to solve a wide variety of scientific and technical problems. The purpose of the study is to increase the efficiency of distributed solutions for problems involving structural-parametric synthesis of neural network models of complex systems based on GRID (geographically disperse computing resources) technology through the integrated application of the apparatus of evolutionary optimization and queuing theory. During the course of the research, the following was obtained: (i) New mathematical models for assessing the performance and reliability of GRID systems; (ii) A new multi-criteria optimization model for designing GRID systems to solve high-resource computing problems; and (iii) A new decision support system for the design of GRID systems using a multi-criteria genetic algorithm. Fonseca and Fleming’s genetic algorithm with a dynamic penalty function was used as a method for solving the stated multi-constrained optimization problem. The developed program system was used to solve the problem of choosing an effective structure of a centralized GRID system that was configured to solve the problem of structural-parametric synthesis of neural network models. To test the proposed approach, a Pareto-optimal configuration of the GRID system was built with the following characteristics: average performance–103.483 GFLOPS, cost–500 rubles per day, availability rate–99.92%, and minimum performance–51 GFLOPS.

Multimethod computing technology for searching energy-optimal motion modes of electric rolling stock of railways

The article is devoted to the problem of finding energy-optimal modes of movement of electric rolling stock of railways, considered as a set of problems of finding a global extremum of a functional defined on a set of logical-dynamic system (LDS) movement trajectories that are acceptable under operating conditions, and a structural-parametric synthesis of the LDS control strategy and optimization of its parameters based on random search methods, swarm intelligence, evolutionary algorithms and multi-agent models. A multi-method technology for optimizing the modes of train movement according to the criterion of minimum energy consumption, and software and algorithmic support based on the original multi-agent evolutionary-swarm method for synthesizing the optimal-terminal control of multi-mode moving objects developed by the author are proposed. The specified computing technology includes the following stages: formation of a set of promising control strategies; their optimization and recombination based on the evolutionary genetic algorithm; finding the global extremum of the functional using parametric optimization of the solutions identified at the previous stages using the modified particle swarm method. The computational experiments performed with the simulation model of train movement showed that when a sufficiently large number of options for control strategies are generated at the first stage, the algorithm converges to the global extremum of the functional.

Destructive Ability Analysis of Genetic Algorithm Operator When Solving Business Process Problem of Structural and Parametric Synthesis

The work analyzes the destructive ability of operators of a classical genetic algorithm when solving the problem of controlling the trajectory of a population during the search for solutions. In accordance with the hypothesis put forward, when solving the problem of structural-parametric synthesis of large discrete systems with a given behavior, it is advisable to change the settings of the functioning of the genetic algorithm operators to ensure: better convergence of the genetic algorithm, avoid attenuation, signal the need to restart the solution synthesis procedure, and also facilitate the derivation of the population from local extrema. It is proposed to use an artificial neural network as a control element (control add-on), which should implement control of the process of synthesis of simulation models of business processes based on a given behavior (the ability of a simulation model to convert a given input vector into a reference output), which is especially important when working with large systems. In accordance with the same hypothesis, an increase in the destructive ability of the crossing over and mutation operators allows the population to be dispersed across the solution space, which is advisable when attenuation occurs and is in a local extremum, and a decrease in the destructive ability contributes to a more thorough search for solutions in a certain area of the solution space. The paper provides examples of the work of operators and the behavior of the population when synthesizing simulation models of business processes based on the theory of Petri nets. To model the operation of a genetic algorithm and an artificial neural network, it is proposed to use the theory of Petri nets, which simplifies the process of managing the synthesis procedure and allows the use of parallel programming tools with distributed GPGPU computing on CUDA technology. As part of this study, an analysis of the behavior of the population when changing the operating settings of operators was carried out, which confirmed the hypothesis put forward.

Synthesis of two-mass electromechanical systems with cascade connection of fractional-order controllers

The research focused on two-mass electromechanical systems widely utilized in industry. The challenge addressed in this work was to improve the synthesis of controllers for such systems to simplify it and enhance the quality of transition processes. Traditionally, the synthesis of control system loops for these systems was carried out using integer controllers and standard forms. However, this approach led to the synthesis of complex integer controllers that are difficult to implement. To overcome this issue, an original approach to the synthesis of control system loops based on the fractional characteristic polynomial is proposed. The fractional characteristic polynomial ensures the desired quality of the transition process given the implementation of a specified structure of the fractional controller. A new method of structural-parametric synthesis of fractional-order controllers is developed for the case of their cascade connection in multi-loop two-mass electromechanical systems. Additionally, an algorithm for synthesizing fractional-order controllers for the corresponding control loops is presented. This enabled the structural-parametric synthesis of fractional-order controllers for a two-mass electromechanical system with the cascade connection of controllers. Such an approach provides better quality of transition processes compared to classical integer controllers, simplifies the synthesis, and thereby enhances the quality of the synthesized systems. The impact of the synthesized fractional-order controllers using the proposed approach on the dynamic properties of the two-mass «thyristor converter – motor» system was investigated. The research results demonstrated the practical applicability of fractional controllers designed using the proposed method for the synthesis of automatic control systems of two-mass electromechanical systems in the industry.

Структурно-параметрический синтез автоматизированной информационной системы специального назначения по формированию и контролю мероприятий боевой подготовки

The article considers the issue of solving the problem of structural parametric synthesis of an automated system for planning and monitoring the implementation of combat training activities in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. It is shown that the features of the proposed method and elements of particular methods for solving problems of structural parametric synthesis of automated special purpose systems (AS SN) open up new possibilities for optimizing the structure of the automated system for planning and controlling the implementation of combat training activities (ASPM BP). To reduce the dimensionality of the solved problems in structural-parametric synthesis and a compact description of alternative variants of their construction, formed on the basis of morphological analysis, a logical-combinatorial approach was applied. An example of a system for planning and controlling the implementation of combat training measures is considered - special training of specialists in the organization of air traffic (persons of hydraulic fracturing) of an aviation unit, which provides theoretical and practical training both on standard equipment and simulator training. It is concluded that the features of the method, as well as the novelty elements of particular methods for solving problems of structural-parametric synthesis of AS CH, open up new opportunities for optimizing the structure of the ASPM BP and the topology of computer networks, which currently should be widely used in practice when solving the tasks of its further modernization.

Improvement of motorized design filtering respirator

Working conditions, in terms of hygiene, harmful impurities in the air of the working area, often do not meet regulatory requirements. In such cases, motorized filter respirators are used to protect respiratory organs, which require the development of an appropriate system for managing operational indicators for effective operation. The purpose of the article was to improve the control system of a motorized filter respirator to increase protective efficiency, due to the development of a new parametric scheme of the control object, taking into account the functional relationships between the operating mode, air flow, filter resistance and the term of protective action. To create an appropriate control system, a structural-parametric synthesis of operational indicators management was applied, based on the relationships between the main variables (outgoing regulated variables, controlling influences and disturbances). A new working diagram of the control object with selected design elements of the blower has been developed, the main difference of which is the use of the “Arduino Uno R3” board, the “LCD Keypad Shield” module with a two-line display for controlling the air flow modes, in accordance with the change of the filter resistance taking into account the accumulation dust deposit based on the assumption that the transfer function can be represented by an aperiodic link of the 1st order with sufficient accuracy for practice. To work out the operating modes and determine the duration of the protective effect, a software model of the operation of the motorized filter respirator was created, which made it possible to evaluate the influence of the dust concentration on the change in air flow through the filter elements, taking into account the accumulation of dust sediment on the protective effectiveness. Recommendations have been developed to ensure the effective functioning of the protective device in accordance with the requirements under the most unfavorable conditions. The practical value of the work lies in the fact that the modes of movement of the air flow are determined, in accordance with the speed of rotation of the fan blade from the width of the PWM pulses, which depend on the resistance of the filter, the accumulation of dust deposits based on the transfer function

ВЫБОР АРХИТЕКТУРЫ ИСКУССТВЕННОЙ НЕЙРОННОЙ СЕТИ ДЛЯ ОЦЕНКИ СОСТОЯНИЯ ПОПУЛЯЦИИ ГЕНЕТИЧЕСКОГО АЛГОРИТМА В ЗАДАЧЕ СТРУКТУРНО-ПАРАМЕТРИЧЕСКОГО СИНТЕЗА ИМИТАЦИОННЫХ МОДЕЛЕЙ БИЗНЕС-ПРОЦЕССОВ

This article proposes a study aimed at determining the architecture of artificial neural networks to solve the problem of determining the population state of a genetic algorithm adapted to solve the problem of structuralparametric synthesis of simulation models of business processes. As the initial data for training the artificial neural network, we used the results of computational experiments obtained when operating a genetic algorithm model based on mathematical nested Petri nets, which solves the problem of synthesizing business process models (Petri net models) based on a given behavior. As examples of artificial neural network architectures for managing the process of finding solutions based on an evolutionary procedure, the following are considered: fully connected artificial neural network (FCNN), simple recurrent artificial neural network (Simple RNN), long shortterm memory recurrent network (LSTN), closed recurrent recurrent network block (GRU) and bidirectional LSTM (Bidirectional LSTM). The deep learning algorithms used were: Support Vector Classifier, Decision Tree Classifier and Random Forest Classifier. The article discusses the presented architectures of artificial neural networks and various training methods. Based on the computational experiments carried out and the analysis of the results obtained, conclusions were drawn about the feasibility of using artificial neural networks with RNN architecture to solve the problem of recognizing the state of the population and controlling the process of synthesis of solutions.

Structural and parametric models of hydro-aerodynamic systems for increasing the efficiency of energy infrastructure facilities

An analysis ofthe energy consumption structure in Ukraine shows that it is necessary to take into account the current global trends in energy efficiency during the post-war restoration of such key energy infrastructure facilities as heat and electricity generation heathydro-aerodynamic systemsand water supply ventilation air conditioning.etc. However the analysis of existing information technologyfor computer-aided design of energy facilities which are based on hydro-aerodynamicsystems.Showedthat the models and methods of structural and parametric synthesis of components of hydro-aerodynamicsystems (generating energetically active basic elements and network energetically passive auxiliary elements)do not fully take into account the influence of the state of real hydro-aerodynamicprocesses in the formation of a base of typical design solutions of elements. This leads to a decrease up to40%of the energy efficiency of the designed infrastructure facilities. Therefore the development of structural-parametric models of energy-efficient hydro-aerodynamicsystems and the creation on their basis of an appropriate information technology integrated in engineering computer-aided designis especially relevant during the post-war restoration of Ukraine energy infrastructure facilities. When developing structural-parametric models of energy-efficient hydro-aerodynamicsystems.Thefollowing tasks were solved: based on a comparative analysis of the possibilitiesof structural.Parametricand structural-parametric synthesis of energy-efficient hydro-aerodynamicsystems to create information technologies integrated in machine-building and engineering computer-aided designsystems.a structural parameter was reasonably chosen; structural-parametric models of an energy-efficient hydro-aerodynamicsystem and its components (network and generating parts)have been developed; a logical-numerical model for generating technical proposals for the structural-parametric synthesis of energy-saving hydro-aerodynamicsystems taking into account the advantages of using the topological properties of graph models in the space-time domain has been developed; the definition of additional target parameters of the structural-parametric model of the hydro-aerodynamicsystem is proposed. The developed models were used to create an information technology for the structural-parametric synthesis of energy-saving hydro-aerodynamicsystems integrated in computer-aided design.Approbation of theproposed information technology showed that the reduction of hydro-aerodynamicresistance in the network part of hydro-aerodynamicsystems made it possible to increase the energy efficiency of the synthesized hydro-aerodynamicsystemsfrom 25 to 45%. This was performed by reducing the energyexpended to provide the specified consumptionof the working fluid created by the main elements such as feed pumps blow fansandsmoke exhausters

ALGORITHM OF STRUCTURAL-PARAMETRIC SYNTHESIS OF VISUALIZATION SYSTEMS OF TRAINING COMPLEXES

This article discusses the solution of the problem of increasing the economic efficiency and quality of training of ergatic systems personnel when using training complexes by choosing the optimal parameters of the visualization system. The specificity of the task lies in the fact that in the course of its solution, the system structure is first determined, reflecting the categories of visualization equipment used, as well as the software implementation of the virtual representation at a high level of abstraction. In addition, the final solution to the problem of structural-parametric synthesis should ensure not only the maximum possible quality of information display when the conditions for economic and time costs are met, but also guarantee the necessary level of professional training. To determine the most optimal structure of the visualization system, an algorithm of structural-parametric synthesis of the visualization system has been developed, taking into account all of the above aspects of creating a training complex. Based on the proposed algorithm, a simulator visualization system for training miners based on a VR helmet and VR controllers has been developed. The training complex allows you to work out such actions as notification of the occurrence of an emergency situation, search for an escape route, as well as the use of fire extinguishing skills. After obtaining the optimal solution to the problem of synthesizing a simulator for training a miner, experimental studies were conducted to test the algorithm’s operability with a new focus group of subjects. As an alternative, a more cost-effective solution based on a monitor and a keyboard with a mouse was considered. The results of the comparison showed that the alternative solution does not provide the necessary level of competence formation in a timely manner. The proposed simulator allows you to get both the best quality of mastering and shorter terms of mastering.

Toward Building a Functional Image of the Design Object in CAD

The paper proposes an approach to the classification of lifecycle support automation systems for engineering objects, with the proposed structure of the description of the designed object, using a triple description approach: functional, mathematical, and physical. Following this approach, an algorithm for drawing up a functional description of the lifecycle is described, which is based on the principle of unity of analysis and synthesis of the created system in the design process. The proposed solutions are considered using the traditional aircraft shaping methodology with the application of the airplane make-up algorithm as an example. Furthermore, the architecture of a multiagent platform for structural–parametric synthesis of the object was presented; for convenient usage of this architecture, it was proposed to use classification of design tasks in the form of a design cube. The proposed approach allows obtaining an accurate description of the designed object and the subtasks needed to create it, which can reduce the time of the project. Unfortunately, not all decisions can be automated at the given stage of technical development, but what is possible to automate is enough to achieve a reduction in terms of realization and an acceleration of the prototyping process, as shown in the considered example. The actual reduction throughout the lifecycle of the product ranges from 10% to 21% of the planned time.

Method of Structural-Parametric Synthesis of Configuration Multi-Mode Object

The complexity of modern objects with a reconfigurable structure leads to the need to take into account various factors of their interaction with the environment and is associated with an increase in the number of their constituent elements and subsystems, as well as, accordingly, a rapid increase in the number of internal connections, and manifests itself in such aspects as structural complexity, complexity of functioning, complexity of choice of behavior, complexity of modeling and complexity of development. These systems operate in conditions of significant uncertainty associated with a change in the content of the goals and objectives facing the object, the impact of disturbing factors from the external environment and having a targeted and / or non-targeted character. These aspects of the complexity of the system are associated not only with the uncertain effects of the external environment, but also with many different modes (types) of functioning, corresponding to the multiplicity of tasks being solved and the multiplicity of indicators of the quality of their solution. As a rule, systems with a fixed structure, usually tuned to a steady (some given) mode, do not provide the best control quality in other modes. Therefore, the multi-mode and uncertainty of the operating conditions necessitate solving the problem of analysis and synthesis of the configuration and reconfiguration of the objects under consideration, based on intelligent approaches. At the same time, at the stages of creating and designing objects with a tunable structure, such interconnected sets of modes of operation and structures should be synthesized, and, possibly, such a level of redundancy should be introduced into these sets, taking into account space-time, technical and technological restrictions, under which at the stage of their application for the intended purpose, it would be possible to respond flexibly to all design and off-design contingencies that cause structural changes in the object. From a formal point of view, the solution to these problems is possible within the framework of such an important class of modern scientific and technical problems as the problems of multi-criteria structural-functional synthesis of configurations of multi-mode objects at various stages of their life cycle. This article presents a method for solving these problems, based on the concept of the parametric genome of complex multi-mode objects proposed by the authors. The application of this concept makes it possible to store in a concentrated form the explicit and implicit knowledge of experts about the interaction of elements and subsystems of an object when performing various combinations of the implementation of operating modes, as well as to quickly calculate optimistic and pessimistic estimates of indicators of structural and functional reliability of homogeneous / heterogeneous, monotonous / non-monotonic, equivalent /unequal multi-mode objects. With a multi-criteria choice of the required number of non-dominated variants of configurations of a multi-mode object, evenly distributed in the set of effective (Pareto) alternatives, a combination of the method of interval lexicographic ordering (successive concessions) and an operator decision rule was proposed. At the same time, in order to conduct a detailed analysis of the possibility of implementing an object of joint or separate activation of operating modes with an equivalent or unequal intensity of their use, a fuzzy-possibility representation of a generalized indicator of structural and functional reliability in the form of a trapezoidal number and determining its center of gravity was proposed. The results of applying the developed method of structural-parametric synthesis of configurations of a multi-mode object with a tunable structure are presented on the example of the motion control system of the small spacecraft "Aist-2D".

DETERMINING PREFERENCES IN RECOMMENDER SYSTEMS BASED ON COMPARATOR IDENTIFICATION TECHNOLOGY

The subject of research in the article is the process of ranking objects in the lists of recommender systems. The goal of the work is to increase the efficiency of recommender systems by improving the method of determining preferences between objects in lists using the theory of multi-criteria decision-making. The following tasks are solved in the article: review and analysis of the current state of the problem of identifying advantages between objects and their ranking in the lists of recommender systems; analysis of filtering methods used in recommendation systems; decomposition of the decision support problem for selection of objects; development of a combined method for ranking objects in the lists of recommender systems, combining the procedures for selecting a subset of Pareto-optimal objects, structural-parametric synthesis of a scalar multi-criteria estimation model, and evaluating the entire set of selected objects. The following methods are used: mathematical modeling, systems theory, utility theory, decision theory, optimization and operations research. Results. Based on the results of the analysis of the modern methodology for ranking objects in the lists of recommendation systems, the possibility of increasing their efficiency has been established. To take into account factors difficult to formalize, the knowledge and experience of users, it is proposed to implement the determination of preferences between objects using the theory of multi-criteria decision making. The problem of forming lists of recommendation systems is decomposed into the tasks of selecting a subset of Pareto-optimal objects, structural-parametric synthesis of a scalar multi-criteria estimation model, and evaluating a set of selected objects. A combined method for ranking options has been developed that combines the procedures of ordinalistic and cardinalistic ordering technologies and allows one to correctly reduce the subsets of objects included in the lists of recommendations. Conclusions. The developed method for determining preferences expands the methodological foundations for automating the development and operation of recommendation systems, other multi-criteria decision support systems, allows for the correct reduction of the set of non-dominated objects for the final choice, taking into account factors that are difficult to formalize, knowledge and user experience. The practical use of the obtained results due to more economical method of forming lists when adding new objects will allow to decrease the time and capacity complexity of the procedures for providing recommendations, and due to taking into account of set of weighted local indexes and allocation of set of non-dominated objects - to increase quality of given recommendations.

Artificial neural networks can be trained on useful signals of the source data, but can not be taught on noisy data, so it is usually performed noise reduction or error compensation. This paper implements a noise reduction model based on artificial neural networks to suppress high-noise components, which is important for optimizing pre-filtering methods. The process of cleaning computers’ tomography scans in medical examinations of patients with tuberculosis is considered as an given problem in which the suppression of noise present in the image is required.. In order to reduce the level of radiation due to it is quite harmful to human. the power of the radiation is reduced. As a result, the ratio of the useful signal to noise is reduced, which causes noise, which contaminates the image and complicates its processing. Additional shadows appears on the image that no objects exist, which can provide false diagnosis. An algorithm for structural-parametric synthesis of convolutional neural networks used in image noise suppression has been developed. Computer tomograms of tuberculosis patients provided by the Research Institute of Pulmonology and Tuberculosis of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine were used as a training sample.
