Abstract In the context of the implementation of the new Ship Noise Level Regulations, it is particularly important to conduct ship noise prediction during the design phase. This article establishes a SEA model using the statistical energy method and VA One software and predicts cabin noise. The impact of non-living quarters, reinforced panels, and interior materials on noise prediction is discussed. The results indicate that using the statistical energy method for noise prediction has a certain degree of accuracy. When establishing an acoustic model, non-residential compartments can be simplified while considering the influence of reinforcement plates and interior materials on the prediction results.
