Samara State University of Social Sciences and Education celebrates its anniversary – 110 years

In 2021, the Samara State Social and Pedagogical University (SGSPU) turned 110 years old. On October 16, 1911, the Samara Teachers' Institute was solemnly opened. Since that time, higher pedagogical education in the Samara region has been counting down.

The article discusses the role of the family in the upbringing and education of children with linguistic abilities, examines one of the main factors influencing the realization of the child's capabilities - the attitude of parents to the abilities of preschool children. The definition of the term "parental competence" is given. In the course of a study conducted by the Department of Preschool Pedagogy and Psychology of the Perm State Humanitarian and Pedagogical University, based on the results of a survey of parents of preschoolers, their positions are analyzed regarding the level of development of their child's personality, the choice of the optimal time for him to start learning a foreign language, taking into account individual natural inclinations and linguistic abilities child.

Б.Є. ПАТОН — НАУКОВИЙ ЛІДЕР, ВИДАТНИЙ ОРГАНІЗАТОР І НЕВТОМНИЙ ОБОРОНЕЦЬ НАЦІОНАЛЬНОЇ НАУКИ УКРАЇНИ

У виступі розкрито постать Б.Є. Патона як наукового лідера, видатного організатора і невтомного оборонця національної науки України. Наведено теплі спогади з особистого спілкування з всесвітньо визнаним і відомим ученим. Обґрунтовано ключові принципи діяльності Б.Є. Патона, дотримання яких дало змогу перетворити АН УРСР в одну із найбільш ефективних наукових організацій країни. Звернуто увагу на виняткову роль Б.Є. Патона в роки незалежної України, передусім, щодо створення національних галузевих академій наук. Представлено ініціативи Б.Є. Патона щодо започаткування Програми спільної діяльності НАН України і НАПН України на 2020-2022 роки, створення та законодавчого закріплення Ради президентів академій наук України. Висвітлено діяльність віртуальних виставок, створених у НАПН України: «Борис Євгенович Патон. Його життя — епоха в науці» Державної науково-педагогічної бібліотеки України імені В.О. Сухомлинського та «Борис Патон і українська гуманітаристика» Педагогічного музею України.

The research results of the readiness of students, that study “Document Management in the Organization” or “Document Management in the Digital Economy”, to take a demonstration exam for the competence without specific training are presented.

Tools for distance learning and e-learning in communities of students and teachers: composition, usage and preferences

Problem and purpose . The article describes the issue of using e-learning and distance learning tools in the communities of students and teachers. The urgency of solving this issue is determined by the need to develop the digital educational environment that can be more or less focused on e-learning and distance learning. The goals of the research were to identify the degree of demand for distance and e-learning tools in the communities of students and teachers, as well as to establish the features of using the proposed tools in the conditions of their joint use. Methodology. In the course of the research the activities of students and teachers of the educational portal of the Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University in the acade- mic year 2019-2020 were studied. The analysis presented the records of the facts and intensity of using distance (personal correspondence, posting the messages in the public space, presenting the tasks to the teacher) and e-learning (publishing the documents, developing e-course pages, doing self-check training tasks) tools. Based on the research results, teachers and students preferences in using e-learning and distance learning tools were determined, as well as features of joint use of tools. Results. The research has shown that there is a wide range of tools aimed at implementing both distance and e-learning technologies in Internet communities. The tools are quite independent from each other, which allows to build different learning strategies, more or less focused on e-learning and distance learning. Distance learning tools are in greater demand in terms of coverage, but e-learning tools are used more intensively. There is a significant difference in the ways the tools are used by teachers and students. At the same time, a considerable number of users combine different learning strategies, acting both as a teacher and a student. Conclusion. The data obtained in the research allow better understanding of the processes associated with the implementation of teaching in the Internet communities. Understanding the nature of these processes, possible strategies and behaviour preferences of teachers and students in the digital educational environment can become a basis for further development and improvement of online educational tools, as well as pedagogical technologies that are the basis for implementing educational activities on the Internet.

Information and Analytical Support of Education as a Scope of Scientific Activity of a V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine

The author reveals the main aspects of the scientific and information activities of the V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine, in particular, pays attention to the development of a structural unit that carries out scientific information and analytical activities to support the education of Ukraine.
 The article provides an analysis of recent studies and publications on informatization and technological education, presents scientists who have made a significant contribution to the development of this area.
 According to the purpose of the article, the scientific community is presented for familiarization with information and analytical resources of the V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine and revealed the main aspects of information and analytical activities of the V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine.
 Information and analytical resources are characterized by such basic components as – Scientific papers of the V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine; Analytical Bulletin in the field of education and science ;. Analytical reviews of the V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine; Reviews of the results of scientific activities of institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and others.
 The author emphasizes the relevance of the creation and functioning in the V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine Department of Scientific Information and Analytical Support of Education (DSIASE). It is noted that DSIASE was created to provide basic and applied research in the vector of planned research work of the library.
 It is argued that in the V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine there is an organizational and production system for the implementation of information and analytical support of education, which provides the scope of scientific activities of the institution.
 In the perspective of information and analytical activities of the library, the author notes the research search for innovative sources and support for education on the effective modernization and reform of education in Ukraine.

The Diet of Students of the Nizhny Tagil State Socio-Pedagogical Institute

In order to analyze the compliance of student’s dietary regimen with hygienic requirements, a study was conducted among students of the 2nd year of the Faculty of Sports and Life Safety of the Nizhny Tagil State Social and Pedagogical Institute. We have developed special tables - “registration cards”, where students independently entered data on their diet at time intervals corresponding to different levels of activity of the sympathetic department of the autonomic nervous system, for which the chronotype of each participant in the experiment was previously determined. We determined that only 8.3% of students observe a diet on protein distribution during the day and 33% of students follow a diet on fat distribution, that is, the majority of students have irrational nutrition, albeit regular with a sufficient duration of one meal. The quantitative and qualitative distribution of the daily diet for individual meals does not meet hygiene standards.

Методическая подготовка будущих учителей к организации проектной деятельности обучающихся по физике

The article deals with methodical training of future teachers for the organization of project activities of schoolchildren in physics It goes through the concept of "readiness" as multi-level psychological and pedagogical condition characterized by the performance of certain work tasks and specific activities while performing job functions, The purpose of the article is to consider the methodological preparation of future teachers for organizing project activities of schoolchildren in physics as a productive educational process, considering the ideas of pedagogical activity in Higher Education. This method is aimed at increasing the level of success in the professional activity of the graduates of a pedagogical university who will be able to perform their direct duties in accordance with The Professional Standards of a Teacher, use the acquired knowledge, experience and personal qualities in performing professional functions, including the organization of project activities of schoolchildren in teaching physics. The empirical basis of the article is the data of a study conducted in 2019-2020 in the framework of advanced training of physics teachers in the Chelyabinsk region and training of undergraduate students of the South Ural State Humanitarian and Pedagogical University (Chelyabinsk). Research results: 1. The article considers the relationship between the concepts of «readiness» and "methodological training of a future teacher to organize project activities of students in physics". It as well shows the relationship between the professional standard and competencies formed within the framework of training bachelor students in the field of teacher training education. 2. The article shows the key characteristics of the methodological preparation of future teachers for the organization of project activities of students in physics from the perspective of productive training and technology of project activities.

У поданому матеріалі висвітлено візит освітян і науковців з Китайської Народної Республіки до Національної академії педагогічних наук України та Державної науково-педагогічної бібліотеки України імені В.О. Сухомлинського. Делегацію зарубіжних гостей зустрічали президент НАПН України В.Г. Кремень і директор бібліотеки Л.Д. Березівська. З’ясовано, що українські й китайські вчені мають багато спільних ідей щодо розвитку освіти та науки в Україні й Китайській Народній Республіці. Проаналізовано діяльність Всекитайської асоціації з вивчення спадщини Василя Сухомлинського та питання двосторонньої співпраці із Всеукраїнською Асоціацією Василя Сухомлинського, зміст кожного з напрямів. Зроблено висновок, що саме в Державній науково-педагогічній бібліотеці України імені В.О. Сухомлинського, де у відділі історії освіти створено сектор сухомлиністики, проводиться велика робота з вивчення та популяризації творчої, наукової та методичної спадщини педагога, знаного у всьому світі.

DB "Ukrainika scientific": past, present and future

The history of creation of the national DB "Ukrainika scientific" which is one of the important and significant electronic resources of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, is covered. Attention is paid to its role in the domestic and world information space, emphasis is placed on its uniqueness. It is noted that the main task of creation, replenishment and functioning of DB "Ukrainika scientific" is to achieve full reflection of the printed scientific works of domestic scientists from all branches of science. The formation, thematic and types of filling of DB "Ukrainika scientific" are considered. It is noted that the largest number of publications reflected in the DB "Ukrainika scientific" relates to the social sciences and humanities, the second place is occupied by abstracts of publications on technical and agricultural, the third — medical, the fourth — natural sciences. Peculiarities of abstracting scientific documents are revealed. Emphasis is placed on the responsibility and high professionalism of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine specialists who participate in the creation and editing of abstract texts for DB "Ukrainika scientific". The advantages of using the information resource contained in the national abstract database are given. The current state and prospects of development of the system of cooperative abstracting in Ukraine are analyzed. It is noted that at the present stage the main participants in corporate cooperation in abstracting documents for DB "Ukrainika scientific" are the following institutions: Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, Institute of Information Registration of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, National Scientific Medical Library of Ukraine, V. O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine. The Agreement on cooperation between these institutions is analyzed and the responsibilities of each of them are given. It is emphasized that cooperative cooperation helps to increase the amount of abstract resources in various fields of science. Prospects for the development of DB "Ukrainika scientific" are outlined. Emphasis is placed on the harmonious combination of the abstract database with full-text, which will provide a significant increase in the number of users.

Student science at Samara State University of Social Sciences and Education: results and prospects

Research activity of students is one of the main directions of scientific activity of the university. Student Scientific Society of the Samara State Social and Pedagogical University (hereinafter referred to as SSS SSPU) (curator - Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor A.V. Gritskova, Chairman - 5th year student of the Faculty of Natural Geography A.F. Pavlov) today unites more than 1350 students , which is about a third of the students. The collectives of the student scientific society formed at the faculties and interfaculty departments have achieved significant success and a high level of scientific research in various fields of knowledge. The activities of the student scientific society are provided by highly qualified teaching staff of scientific advisers.

Research results of Samara State University of Social Sciences and Education in 2018

In 2018, the team of scientific and pedagogical workers of the Samara State Social and Pedagogical University worked to fulfill the tasks set by the President of the Russian Federation in national projects, in particular in the Science project.
 SGSPU, being a pedagogical university, was and remains an educational institution of a humanitarian orientation. In the past year, the university carried out four state assignments of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in the field of scientific activity.

Research results of Samara State University of Social Sciences and Education in 2017

Samara State Social and Pedagogical University is the oldest higher educational institution in the Samara region. Founded in 1911 as a teacher's institute, it immediately began to position itself as a humanitarian institution. This direction remains the leading one at the present time. The preservation of the humanitarian component is a merit of our team, since in the conditions of a modern technocratic society it is the humanities and pedagogical sciences that preserve the humanistic component of Russia.

ПРОСТРАНСТВО ЗАМКА В ФЭНТЕЗИЙНОЙ ЛИТЕРАТУРЕ

The article on the materials of foreign and national fantasy (J.R.R. Tolkien, N. Perumov, S. Lukyanenko, M. Semenov etc.) considers the space of the castle, dating back to the chronotope of knight novel. It is analyzed the genesis, dichotomous structure (real-magic, own-alien, up-down, etc.), as well as the function of the castle topos, which is the same both in the foreign and in the Slavic fantasy. The main emphasis in the description of the castle is mainly on the fortification (the impregnable walls and a long, narrow bridge), symbolizing the inaccessibility of the strongholds and emphasizing the basic function of the castle – to protect its inhabitants. It is noted that the space of the castle in some cases is designed to protect the character of the external action, but sometimes as an object of «foreign» space is an obstacle to the hero performing his quest. Individualization of the description of the topos of the castle is largely dependent on the person who owns it. Light and dark castles differ not only by their architecture, but also by the atmosphere in them. The presence in the castle of a secret underground passage or a secret room suggests maintaining the tradition of the Gothic novel, in this case the castle is a place of intriguing mystery, that the main character aims to unravel.
