Stability of charged Kiselev thin-shell wormholes

This work is devoted to exploring the stability of thin-shell wormholes developed from two equivalent copies of charged quintessence (charged Kiselev) black holes by using Visser cut and paste approach. The characteristics of the surface matter of the shell are determined by using Israel formalism. We examine the stability of thin-shell by assuming a barotropic equation of state for the surface matter of the wormhole throat. We conclude that wormhole becomes stable in the presence of both charge and Kiselev parameter otherwise, it shows an unstable behavior.

Stability of thin shell wormholes with a modified Chaplygin gas in Einstein–Hoffman–Born–Infeld theory

In the framework of Darmois–Israel formalism, the dynamics of motion equations of spherically symmetric thin shell wormholes that are supported by a modified Chaplygin gas in Einstein–Hoffman–Born–Infeld theory are constructed. The stability analysis of a thin shell wormhole is also discussed using a linearized radial perturbation around static solutions at the wormhole throat. The existence of stable static solutions depends on the value of some parameters of dynamical shell.

Stability of thin shell wormholes in Born-Infeld theory supported by polytropic phantom energy

In the framework of the Darmois-Israel formalism, the dynamical equations of motion of spherically-symmetric thin-shell wormholes supported by a polytropic phantom energy in Einstein- Born-Infeld theory are constructed. A stability analysis of the spherically-symmetric thin-shell wormhole by using the standard potential method is carried out. The existence of stable, static solutions depends on the values of some parameters.

Stability of thin-shell wormholes from a regular ABG black hole

In this paper, we construct thin-shell wormholes from a regular Ayon-Beato-Garcia black hole by employing cut and paste formalism and examine their stability. We analyze attractive and repulsive characteristics of the respective thin-shell wormholes. A general equation of state is assumed as a linear perturbation to explore stability of these constructed wormholes with and without cosmological constant. We consider linear, logarithmic and Chaplygin gas models for exotic matter and evaluate stability regions for different values of charge. It is found that the generalized Chaplygin gas model provides maximum stable regions in the de Sitter background while the modified generalized Chaplygin gas and logarithmic gas yield maximum stable regions in the anti-de Sitter spacetime.

Influence of nonlinear electrodynamics on stability of thin-shell wormholes

The aim of this paper is to discuss stability of regular thin-shell wormholes coupled with non-linear electrodynamics and cosmological constant. The surface stresses are formulated by using Lanczos equations. We examine attractive and repulsive behavior of these constructed wormholes corresponding to outward and inward-directed acceleration components, respectively. We also investigate stability conditions for the existence of traversable thin-shell wormholes with arbitrarily small amount of different fluids as exotic matter. We consider linear, logarithmic and Chaplygin gas models and find that a modified generalized Chaplygin gas model provides maximum viable regions for stability of the respective thin-shell wormholes. It is found that formation of stable regions for ABGB thin-shell wormholes highly depends on the physically acceptable range of charge and other parameters.

Stability of thin-shell wormholes from noncommutative BTZ black hole

In this paper, we construct thin-shell wormholes in (2 + 1)-dimensions from noncommutative BTZ black hole by applying the cut-and-paste procedure implemented by Visser. We calculate the surface stresses localized at the wormhole throat by using the Darmois–Israel formalism and we find that the wormholes are supported by matter violating the energy conditions. In order to explore the dynamical analysis of the wormhole throat, we consider that the matter at the shell is supported by dark energy equation of state (EoS) p = ωρ with ω < 0. The stability analysis is carried out of these wormholes to linearized spherically symmetric perturbations around static solutions. Preserving the symmetry we also consider the linearized radial perturbation around static solution to investigate the stability of wormholes which was explored by the parameter β (speed of sound).

Effects of charge on the stability of thin-shell wormholes

In this paper, we use Visser’s cut and paste approach to construct thin-shell wormholes from charged black string. The dynamics of thin-shell wormholes is analyzed by taking Van der Waals quintessence fluid at the wormhole throat. We investigate the stability of these constructed thin-shell wormholes under linear perturbations preserving the cylindrical symmetry and also study the effects of charge on its stability. It turns out that there exist both unstable and stable wormhole solutions depending on different parameters involved in the equation of state.

On the Stability of Thin-Shell Wormholes in Noncommutative Geometry

This paper reexamines a special class of thin-shell wormholes that are unstable in general relativity in the framework of noncommutative geometry. It is shown that, as a consequence of the intrinsic uncertainty, these wormholes are stable to small linearized radial perturbations. Several different spacetimes are considered.

Stability of thin-shell wormholes with spherical symmetry

In this article, the stability of a general class of spherically symmetric thin-shell wormholes is studied under perturbations preserving the symmetry. For this purpose, the equation of state at the throat is linearized around the static solutions. The formalism presented here is applied to dilaton wormholes and it is found that there is a smaller range of possible stable configurations for them than in the case of Reissner-Nordstrom wormholes with the same charge.
