Social Media Image Construction and Communication of Sports Athletes

With the development of social media, it has become more and more a distinctive phenomenon for sports athletes to present themselves and spread sports culture through operating personal social media accounts. As the national sport of China, table tennis has long enjoyed widespread attention, and the athletes are also the focus of the public. In this regard, this paper selected eight Chinese table tennis athletes in different growth periods in a balanced manner according to the demographic approach. With the content and text analysis methods, the paper collects data and text from their social media accounts represented by Weibo, and analyzes the content and effects from aspects of sports communication, health communication, brand communication, social value communication and entertainment daily communication. After analyzing the current operation and exposed shortcomings of the personal social media of sports athletes represented by them, the paper puts forward three feasible suggestions: “build a good media image, convey positive energy actively,” “raise the awareness of media management, explore the possibilities of cross-border” and “enhance the ability of media operation, create differentiated personalities,” to contribute media power to the in-depth implementation of the "Healthy China" Initiative and the development of China's sports industry.

Research on the factors and path of sports industry development in China: A fsQCA study of 31 provinces.

The advancement of the sports industry's development constitutes a critical concern shared by regional authorities and the scholarly community, reflecting its significant role in economic and social development. This study employs a Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) methodology to examine the 31 provincial-level administrative units in China. The objective is to elucidate the influence of technological, organizational, and environmental factors on the industry's development level, considering both a holistic national framework and dissected regional approaches (Eastern, Central, and Western China). This paper's contribution to the literature is structured around the following core findings: (1) The study establishes that a singular condition does not suffice as an essential prerequisite for achieving a heightened development state within the sports industry. (2) At the national level, there are three pathways to enhance the development level of the sports industry, specifically identified as "network-human resources dominant pathway," "technological innovation-human resources dominant pathway," and "comprehensive synergistic pathway."(3) From a regional perspective, the Eastern region has two pathways for sports industry enhancement: "network-economic pathway" and "comprehensive synergistic pathway." The Central region follows a "technology pathway," while the Western region has three pathways: "organization-environment pathway," "network-organization-environment pathway," and "organization pathway."(4) The synthesis of these findings underscores the multifactorial nature of sports industry development, suggesting a paradigm where diverse routes can lead to equivalent outcomes. This heterogeneity indicates that provinces or regions can tailor their development strategies to their unique situational contexts.

Financial Risk Analysis in the Operation of Sports Events from a Commercial Perspective

With the acceleration of globalization, the sports industry has shown vigorous development momentum under the precise efforts of recent policies, gradually entering a new golden period of development. Various international sports events have flourished, becoming an important force in promoting the development of the global sports industry. Organizers of commercialized international sports events, as independent economic entities responsible for their own profits and losses, bear the important mission of promoting the development of the sports industry and enhancing international influence. They face risks and challenges from political, economic, cultural, and other aspects, while also being vigilant against the potential threats of financial risks. To meet these challenges, organizers must continually improve their financial management capabilities, strengthen risk assessment and prevention, to ensure the smooth progress of the event and the maximization of economic benefits. Only in this way can commercialized international sports events stand undefeated in the fierce market competition and contribute to the continuous and healthy development of the sports industry.

Through in-depth research on the operation and management of smart sports venues, it can provide useful reference and guidance for the development of China's sports industry. Methods. Nowadays, the technical difficulties of mass sports are becoming more and more difficult, and the requirements for the quality level of sports services are becoming higher and higher, but the traditional sports infrastructure is difficult to provide the public with scientific and accurate technical guidance and high-quality sports services. Results. This leads to a certain contradiction between supply and demand in China's sports industry market, which restricts the development of mass sports. Such as table tennis, badminton, basketball, football and running are widely loved by the masses of sports, in fact, have higher technical requirements, if the technology is not in place, the action is not standard, not standard, it will not only affect the masses of sports exercise effect, but also may cause sports safety accidents. The Functional Positioning of Digital Media in the Upgrading of Sports Industry: The Case of NBA

Sports industry is an important part of many industries in modern society, and more and more people are paying attention to sports industry. The rapid development of the Internet has led to the rapid progress of digital media, which also brings great opportunities and challenges to the sports industry. However, how to make good use of the functions of digital media to promote the upgrading of the sports industry in the current digital transformation process still deserves further research. This study aims to explore the positioning of the functions of digital media in the upgrading of the sports industry, and to study and analyze the NBA as an example. The significance of this study is to provide the sports industry chain and sports industry practitioners with an in-depth understanding of the important role of digital media in the transformation and upgrading of sports industry development, and to provide experience and reference for the future development of the sports industry. This study adopts the literature research method and case analysis method. By systematically collating and analyzing the literature, it elaborates the functional positioning of digital media in the upgrading of sports industry. Then, the NBA is chosen as a typical case, and the case study method is used to analyze the application and effect of digital media in the development process of NBA. Finally, through comparative analysis, the common features, and referable experiences of digital media in the sports industry are summarized.

Factors affecting the protection of data rights in sports events: a configurational analysis

The development of algorithms and the spread of digital infrastructure have contributed significantly to the productivity of the digital economy. Data has come to be known as the “oil of the digital economy”. At the same time, data has begun to participate more deeply in the production activities of the global sports industry chain, and the international discussion on how to protect the rights of sports event data has been increasing. Based on the configurational theory and fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis, this study discusses the factors affecting the protection of sports event data rights. The study found three configuration paths for achieving high enterprise data protection effectiveness and two for achieving low enterprise data protection effectiveness. The results of this study provide theoretical support for governments to address the issue of sports event data rights. They will also facilitate the safe use of data in sports, promote the global sports industry and humanitarian action development, and contribute to international sustainable development.

The interaction of digital economy, artificial intelligence and sports industry development --based on China PVAR analysis of provincial panel data

Under the leadership of China's "dual-carbon" goal, clarifying the interaction between the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and the sports industry is an important guarantee to promote the structural upgrading of China's sports industry and achieve low-carbon development. Therefore, a panel vector autoregression (PVAR) model is constructed based on the panel data of 15 provinces in China from 2014 to 2020 to investigate the interaction between the three. It is found that (1) every 1-unit increase in the level of digital economy in the lagged period can cause a 0.008-unit increase in the level of AI application in the current period at the 10% significance level, i.e., the digital economy has a short-term and weakly facilitating effect on AI. (2) Every 1 unit of digital economy level in the lagging period can cause 9.539 units of value added to the sports industry at a 1% significance level. That is, the digital economy has a short-term but strong enhancing effect on the development of the sports industry. (3) Their internal driving force mainly drives the development of digital economy and artificial intelligence, and the self-contribution rate is 72.7% and 91.5% respectively. In contrast, the self-driving force of the sports industry is weaker, and the self-contribution rate is only 68.2%. (4) The contribution rate of the digital economy and artificial intelligence to the development of the sports industry is 12.3% and 19.6% respectively, i.e., the sports industry is more affected by the degree of application of artificial intelligence than the level of development of digital economy.

The Dilemma of Audience Attendance of Niche Sports Events and Its Solutions: The Curling Sport as an Example

With the rapid development of Chinese sports industry, popular sports such as basketball and table tennis have attracted a wide range of audiences and gained widespread attention and support. In contrast, some sports with relatively small scale of operation and small audience groups, such as curling, still face the dilemma of audience attendance. Past studies have focused on attendance analysis and development of marketing strategies for popular sports, resulting in niche sports being gradually marginalized and receiving less and less attention. This study aims to take curling as an example, using the problem-tracking method in case studies and the literature review method to help niche sports find practical ways to get out of the dilemma of low attendance. The author analyzes the differences in economic volume between sports to find out the differences in the level of importance; finds out the generation mechanism of low attendance based on the influence of celebrity benefits, consumer income theory and the effect of the national team's performance; and applies the stakeholder theory and the sports community thery to find feasible solutions for the curling tournament organizers, marketers and the government.

Research on the Path of High-Quality Development of Sports Industry Driven by Digital Economy Based on Big Data Analysis

Abstract This paper focuses on how the digital economy drives the high-quality development of the sports industry, explores the new path of development using extensive data analysis, and provides theoretical basis and practical guidance for the innovative development of the sports industry in the digital era. The DEA-Malmquist model and comprehensive data analysis methods are used to measure the development efficiency of the sports industry. The results of the study show that the digital economy has a significant impact on the efficiency improvement of the sports industry, in which the effect on the efficiency improvement of the sports industry is the largest, and the regression coefficient reaches 1.153. In addition, the study also finds that the digital economy can significantly reduce the cost of the sports tourism enterprises, improve the cost profitability, and effectively promote the expansion of consumption. The study’s conclusion shows that the development of digital economy provides new development power for the sports industry, and can effectively promote the optimization of the structure and high-quality development of the sports industry. In this regard, it is recommended to strengthen the application of digital technology in the sports industry and enhance the digitalization level of the sports industry.

A Logical Rationale for Sports Tourism to Help Rural Revitalization under Integrated Transfer Learning Strategy

Abstract As an emerging driving force to promote rural revitalization, sports tourism provides tourists with rich experiences and effectively promotes the development of local sports industry and economy. In this study, an integrated transfer learning model is constructed to assess the development level of rural revitalization by combining a constrained LightGBM-based learner, a Gaussian distribution and an optimized sampling function. Applying this model, this paper calculates the integrated development index of rural revitalization for 21 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China between 2019 and 2023. Particularly for Tianjin, the study finds that its comprehensive development index for rural revitalization is relatively low, only 0.244 in 2023. Analyzing the cases of six typical villages in Tianjin, the study finds that sports tourism significantly impacts rural revitalization. During the five years, the average annual growth of tourist arrivals amounted to 125,400 visitors, and the average tourism revenue in 2023 reached 9.686 billion yuan. Meanwhile, these villages had an average of 3.79 points in the development level of living affluence, which is a high level. The study provides empirical support for sports tourism to help rural revitalization. It provides practical references for the future development direction and planning of rural sports tourism, emphasizing the critical role of sports tourism in promoting the comprehensive development of villages.

This study investigates the positive coupling between the sports industry and tourism, exploring the ways to promote their interconnection. Under state guidance, the integration of sports industry services is facilitated to attract sports culture and tourism fairs, leveraging regional economic development advantages to enhance the industrial market appeal. The emerging leisure consumption mode of sports tourism injects vitality into the economy, fostering the core sports service industry. The coupling of the education and tourism sectors is strategically aligned with long-term national policies. Using IoT technology, this paper employs a grey relational analysis to assess the coupling between the sports industry and tourism, revealing a significant correlation. Experimental results demonstrate a positive coupling trend, likened to conjoined twins with a natural material basis and technical support. This coupling not only aligns with industry trends but also resonates with the "environmental protection era," "green era," and "ecological era," marking a pivotal aspect of industrial development. The study contributes valuable insights into the symbiotic relationship between the sports and tourism industries, emphasizing their interconnectedness and the positive implications for economic and environmental sustainability.

Research on the Development of China’s Sports Tourism Industry Based on the Background of Big Data Era

Abstract In this paper, we use the support vector regression algorithm to minimize the loss function between the real value of sports tourism samples and the predicted value of the model, deal with the complex nonlinear problems through the MLP neural network model, and design a sports tourism development model based on the machine learning model. Focusing on the use of a support vector regression algorithm and MLP neural network model to predict the tourist flow, the panel threshold regression model is used to test whether the variables have a threshold effect on each other and the relationship between the sports industry and tourism development is deeply explored. Based on this basis, the current situation and development of sports tourism were analyzed using data from Province S and 29 provinces in China. The results show that there is a threshold effect on the influence of the Chinese sports industry on regional tourism development, and the estimated value of the threshold is 1.8293. The level of the sports industry in Chinese provinces can be divided into less developed regions of the sports industry ≤1.8293 and developed regions of the sports industry >1.8293. In the first model, which only includes the value of the level of the sports industry in the current period, the relationship between the sports industry and regional tourism development presents a “ λ Λ” shape.

Analysis on spatial difference and spillover effect of development resilience index of sports industry: A case study of 285 cities in China.

The sustainable development of the sports industry has garnered extensive attention worldwide. In this study, after a rigorous explanation of the connotation of the sports industry development resilience coefficient (SIDRC), the Topsis model and exploratory spatial data analysis were comprehensively employed to evaluate and visualize the SIDRC of 285 cities in China. Additionally, a spatial econometric model was constructed to explore the influencing factors of SIDRC. The major conclusions drawn from this study are as follow: (1) While the SIDRC has improved significantly over the study period, it still remains overall at a low level of resilience with a widening gap between cities. (2) A strong spatial imbalance exists in the distribution of SIDRC, with coastal regions demonstrating greater resilience compared to the central and western regions, and provincial capital cities faring better than other cities. (3) Policy support index, economic development level, structural diversity of the sports industry, and social participation play crucial roles in promoting SIDRC. Finally, social participation has a positive impact on SIDRC in neighboring cities by facilitating resource sharing, market expansion, and extending the industrial chain. The paper concludes by offering recommendations such as increasing the construction of sports markets and public participation, which can optimize the layout of the sports industry and enhance industrial development resilience.

The green economic impact of a green comprehensive industry agglomeration: An example from the sports industry

The optimization of industrial structure and layout is essential for promoting the high-quality development of the regional economy. As a typical example of a green comprehensive industry, the agglomerations of the sports industry have the potential to release additional green benefits. Consequently, this paper uses the balanced panel data of 30 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in China from 1998 to 2021 as samples and, based on the strategic background of China's dual-carbon target and the re-interpretation of the green economy, uses the Super-SBM model to re-measure the green economic efficiency of each region and applies the dynamic spatial Durbin model and the dynamic panel system GMM model to evaluate the direct effect, mediating mechanism, spatial spillover effect, and heterogeneity effect of sports industry agglomeration on the regional green economic efficiency. Empirical findings indicate that: (1) The improvement of green economic efficiency under China's dual-carbon target has the characteristics of dynamic accumulation, and there is a siphon effect between neighboring regions. (2) The effects of sports industry agglomeration on local green economy efficiency show an "inverted U-shape" with a positive spatial spillover effect on the green economy efficiency of neighboring regions; this conclusion is robust. (3) The green economy effect of sports industry agglomeration is more significant in the central and western regions, regions with strict environmental regulations, and regions with a higher willingness for resident participation in sports due to industrial density, compliance costs, and characteristics of sports industry development. (4) Sports industry agglomeration can promote regional green economy efficiency by escaping natural resource dependence and increasing healthy human capital; technological innovation, rationalization of industrial structure, and labor transfer serve as "inverted U-shaped" mediators between sports industry agglomeration and regional green economy efficiency. This study expands the meso- and spatial-level perspectives of the impact of the agglomeration of green industries and comprehensive industries on green development. It is of great theoretical and practical importance for promoting the construction of a regional green industrial system and the high-quality development of the green economy.

Comprehensive evaluation of high-quality sports industry development in the new era using fuzzy numbers intuitionistic fuzzy sets

Despite a delayed inception, China’s sports industry has experienced a swift evolution and has established a unique developmental framework, thereby establishing a firm groundwork for the prospective growth of China’s sports industry. The sports industry of China is currently encountering fresh prospects for growth in the contemporary era. However, it is also confronted with formidable obstacles and strains that necessitate careful handling. To attain novel breakthroughs and advancements, it remains imperative to explore innovative perspectives and avenues. The assessment of the sports industry’s high-quality development in the new era is a classic Multiple Attribute Group Decision Making (MAGDM) problem. The TODIM and VIKOR methodologies have been employed in addressing Multiple Attribute Group Decision Making (MAGDM) challenges in current times. Fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy sets (FNIFS) serve as a valuable instrument in the characterization of uncertain information for the comprehensive assessment of the high-quality development of the sports industry in the contemporary era. The present manuscript introduces the construction of the fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy TODIM-VIKOR (FNIF-TODIM-VIKOR) method, which is designed to address multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems in the context of fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy sets (FNIFSs). Ultimately, a numerical case study is presented to comprehensively evaluate the high-quality development of the sports industry in the new era, in order to validate the proposed methodology.

Research on the Development of Sports Industry under the Background of New Crown Epidemic Based on Big Data Analysis

The sudden COVID-19 outbreak in 2019 has had a huge impact on all walks of life around the world. Schools, shopping malls, companies and sporting events have closed or gone bankrupt. This study will focus on the impact of COVID-19 on the future development of the sports event industry. In this regard, we divided the overall impact into three perspectives to analyze: 1. We first analyzed the data of many major international sports events affected by the COVID-19 epidemic. We compared the financial data of event organizers before and after the pandemic and analyzed their revenue changes. 2. At the same time, we also studied the impact on sponsors of sports events before and after the pandemic. We used data from the Olympic Games over the years and sports events like the NBA to do the analysis. 3. Finally, we analyzed typical sports industry companies to study their financial statements and revenue changes before and after the pandemic, such as NIKE. In addition, we also conducted research on the surrounding industries of sports events, such as supplies for sports events, players' jerseys, energy drinks and so on. Broadcasters are also the subject of our analysis. We analyze the target events they broadcast and the ratings of broadcast events. Our findings suggest that the impact of COVID-19 on sporting events has been mixed: the good thing is that it has boosted new events, such as esports. Esports is an all-in-one format, and even offline events are staged on an electronic screen. So esports has emerged as one of the new mainstream events when so many major events have been canceled; The bad news is mainly the impact on the large offline industry, many events are shelved, and sponsors' ads are nowhere to be shown and shown, and sponsors' money is lost. But the pandemic has not caused major sponsors to pull back, just a small number of companies and investors. The significance of this study is to analyze the impact of the pandemic on the future development of sports events, so as to help people identify the current situation and future exit of major sports events, help investors understand the emerging and potential sports events, and help people understand how to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on sports events.

INNOVATIONS IN THE FIELD OF SPORTS INDUSTRY MANAGEMENT: ASSESSMENT OF THE DIGITAL ECONOMY'S IMPACT ON THE QUALITATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SPORTS INDUSTRY

The rapid development of the digital economy has promoted industrial transformation and upgrading, brought changes to the production mode and personal consumption mode of enterprises, and the development of traditional industries are constantly being realised in a digital format. The research of current scholars mainly focuses on: the calculation of digital economy comprehensive index, it is only scientific interpretation, lack of empirical research; second, the lack of existing research on digital economy indicators, mostly only from a single perspective; and finally, the lack of analysis of regional heterogeneity of digital economy development. Methodology. In the index system weighting method is mainly divided into subjective empowerment and objective empowerment, in terms of subjective empowerment, it is based on the relative importance between the indicators by subjective judgment to give appropriate weight, such as principal component analysis, AHP; and objective empowerment is based on the original information to empower, such as cluster analysis, standard deviation, entropy and extreme method, and so forth. In the selection of measurement method, some scholars believe that the subjective weight method will be disturbed by human factors, which will bias the calculation results, and can not respond to authenticity. In view of this, this paper adopts the entropy method to measure the high-quality economic development level and digital economy development level in 31 provinces in China from 2010 to 2019. The research of current scholars mainly focuses on: the calculation of digital economy comprehensive index, it is only scientific interpretation, lack of empirical research; second, the lack of existing research on digital economy indicators, mostly only from a single perspective; and finally, the lack of analysis of regional heterogeneity of digital economy development. This paper constructs three subsystems and 11 basic indicators to construct the evaluation index of digital economy development, and three subsystems and 9 basic indicators to evaluate the high-quality development of sports industry. To explore the spatial spillover effect of digital economy development on the high-quality development of sports industry, the high-quality development of sports industry in China in 2011-2020 was taken as the explanatory variable, and the development of digital economy was taken as the explanatory variable. The purpose of the article is to build spatial measurement model three subsystems, which include 11 basic indicators to construct the evaluation index of digital economy development, and three subsystems and 9 basic indicators to evaluate the high-quality development of sports industry. The base of research is 31 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions of China. Conclusion. First, the digital economy is innovation as the core driving force of the new economic form, and the deep fusion of sports industry can give new impetus to the development of high-quality sports industry, further promote the development of the quality of sports industry. Second, digital economy development through advanced digital technology can directly and indirectly promote the development of sports industry, digital economy and sports industry quality development have significant spatial correlation, "high-high", "low-low" agglomeration characteristics, digital economy development can significantly promote the regional sports industry development, and the quality of sports industry development is also obvious.
