The field of applied sport psychology continues to increase in popularity and offers new and exciting career opportunities. In addition to offering consulting services to athletes, coaches, and teams, applied sport psychology professionals also serve military, dance, and business clients (Lloyd & Foster, 2006). This article outlines a 10-step process that sport psychology professionals can use to successfully market their consulting services, with examples for offering consulting services to athletes, coaches, and teams. This approach consists of a strategy and tactics integrating the “traditional” 4P's approach to marketing (Pitts & Stotlar, 2007). As such, this article seeks to support the benefits of developing and implementing an integrated and comprehensive marketing plan to achieve optimal marketing success for a sport psychology practice.
