Impact of Mass Media and Globalization

“Curiosity” is an inherent and important quality of human nature. Based on which human spiritual and physical development becomes possible. The history of human race has been changing time and time again. It has undergone changes especially as a result of economic, social, and political revolutions. In all these revolutions, the contribution of two major revolutions has been important in changing the manner, style, and approach of human society. There are two such revolutions that have radically changed the pattern of human life, one is the industrial revolution and the other is the communication revolution. The breadth of these two revolutions or the extent of their influence may be different but these two revolutions have had a radical impact on human society. The resulting social and economic changes are different in each country. The present age is known as the age of knowledge and information. Mass media has affected the people of every society to such an extent that it is difficult to imagine how the society would be without it. Mass media such as newspapers, magazines, magazines, pamphlets, radio, books, films, television, smart phones and internet etc. have made a profound impact on human life today. Modern mass media have reached a wider audience than traditional media. People get so much information through mass media that as a result the present age is called the knowledge age. Information travels from one corner of the world to another in the blink of an eye. The era of globalization has complemented these two.

From Keynes’ “Animal Spirits” to Human Spirits? Passion as the Missing Link(s) in Entrepreneurial Intentions

ABSTRACT Passion seems remarkably important to entrepreneurial behavior and research has done well to explicate its impact, which needs to be celebrated. It also seems to have an outsized effect on entrepreneurial cognition, in particular, entrepreneurial intentions. But how does passion influence intentions? This essay offers a set of possible (and nonexclusive) pathways for passion to affect intent, giving us an agenda for assessing Keynes's assertion of ”animal spirits” as a prime mover of economic decision making under uncertainty. We invite the reader to join this line of research.

Perspektif Tasawuf terhadap Kematian

Abstract This article raises the issue of human fear of death. Fear of death will be a problem if it is excessive and does not encourage someone to prepare for death. Therefore, there is a need for study of death from sufism perspective to look again at the essence of death so that the unnatural fear of death can at least be reduced. This study uses a qualitative method with an irfani analysis technique that is adjusted to meet the need of sufism approach in this study. The result of this paper is that death is the separation of humans from what has been entrusted to humans in the world because of a moving from the world to a completely different realm. As for the destruction of body through death, it is not followed by the death of spirit. It causes spirit is created from God’s spirit, the human spirit by nature always yearns and always wants to return to where it came from. In order for the nature of spirit's longing for God to be maintained, a servant is required to always control or at least reduce worldly desires that can prevent a servant from having an inclination towards God. THE HISTORICAL, PHILOSOPHICAL AND THEOLOGICAL DIMENSIONS OF ORTHODOXY IN THE CREATIVE HERITAGE OF P. YEVDOKIMOV

The article provides a general overview of the philosophical and epistemological vision of P. Yefremov’s views on the Orthodox worldview. The subject field of onto­gnoseological, methodological and anthropological components of P. Yevdokimov’s worldview position is outlined. The position of the thinker regarding the philosophical and theological components of the genesis of Orthodox doctrine is determined. P. Yevdokimov’s attempts to define the peculiarities of epistemological traditions of human cognition of the animal world and non­commodity God in the Eastern branch of Christianity are emphasized. The author analyzes the thinker’s reflections on the relationship between denominations in Christianity on the basis of ancient Greek philosophy and the theological tradition of the first five centuries. The author emphasizes the special role of Jewish and Byzantine cultures, as well as the teachings of Plato and Aristotle in this process. The eschatological characterization of Christianity in the views of P. Yevdokimov as a basis for understanding the mystical and sacred nature of the Creator’s dialogue with man and the world was considered. The issues of the methodological dimension of human cognitive capabilities are highlighted on the example of apophatic and cataphatic ways of comprehending the image of God. A descriptive and comparative analysis of these methods is carried out, their weaknesses and strengths are highlighted, as well as the impact of these methods on the Orthodox culture of thinking in general. P. Yvdokimov’s desire to point out the mystical and sacred nature of the dialogue between man and the Creator in the Christian worldview is emphasized. The author traces the creative attempts of the French thinker to include in his analysis a number of new concepts and their author’s content, which form our understanding of the semantic image of his philosophy. The author emphasizes the special philosophical status of man (as a subject of cognition) in the cognitive element of the human spirit, as a witness, commentator, participant and interpreter. The problem of love is revealed through an epistemological component, the important elements of which are the concepts of «heart» and «asceticism». This emphasizes the role of the monastic experience of Christianity in the formation of the Orthodox tradition of thinking. P. Yevdokimov’s view on a special way of interpreting the Holy Scriptures and the patristic heritage – through feelings, as a form of exegesis, which the thinker calls «the instincts of Eastern Orthodoxy» is studied.

This obituary was first published in the London Jewish Chronicle, 11 August 2022 Rabbi Dow Marmur was one of the G'dolim, the Greats of his generation. Since his generation was that of the Shoah, his defiant determination, scholarship and humanity is an astonishing testimony to the rabbinic and human spirit.

Formation and Development of Scientific Knowledge and Research to the Use of Natural Technologies

The human race came from one blood (Acts 17: 26). The abilities of the soul and spirit of each person are laid down by the Creator for research. The human spirit reflects and fixes the qualitative properties of the perceived environment. The human mind cognizes and explores the observed reality. Through linguistic interpretation and functional formalization within the framework of a theory built with the help of axioms and concepts, it captures the results of research. Linguistic thinking generates an interpretation of what is happening in the observed reality. Functional thinking is formed and developed within the framework of axiomatic theory. The theory describes the phenomena, processes, essence of the material world and provides an opportunity to conduct research based on its facts and results. When a person focuses his attention on the relevant research, this indicates that he has the knowledge and skills to work in this area, perceiving the living information of nature and the noosphere. Complex formalization and interpretation of the surrounding reality have led to artificial intelligence, which develops new practical results for a person. Interdisciplinary research provides a more holistic view of the Universe. Actual research at the current time is the construction of the theory, detection, identification and use of natural technologies.

The Effect of Competency Human Resources, Work Motivation, and Work Spirit on Employees Performance at the Service Cooperative & Msmes West Sumatra

This study aims to examine and see: 1) The influence of human resource competence partially on the performance of employees at the Office of Cooperatives and SMEs of West Sumatra Province . 2) The effect of work motivation partially on employee performance at the Office of Cooperatives and UMKM West Sumatra Province . 3) The partial effect of work enthusiasm on employee performance at the Office of Cooperatives and UMKM West Sumatra Province . 4) The simultaneous influence of HR competence, work motivation, and work spirit on employee performance at the Office of Cooperatives and UMKM West Sumatra Province . This type of research is quantitative The population in this study were 65 employees of the Office of Cooperatives and UMKM West Sumatra province. The sample uses a total sampling technique with a total of 65 employees. Sources of data in this study are primary data obtained from observations and questionnaires. The data analysis method used multiple linear regression, coefficient of determination, and t and f tests. The results show 1) Human resource competence partially has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the employees of the West Sumatra Province Cooperative and MSME Office . 2) Work motivation partially has a positive and significant effect on the employee performance of the Office of Cooperatives and UMKM West Sumatra Province . 3) Work morale partially has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the employees of the West Sumatra Province Cooperative and UMKM Service .. 4) HR competence, work motivation, and work spirit simultaneously affect the performance of the employees of the Cooperative Service andUMKM West Sumatra Province . The contribution level of influence of human resources competence, work motivation, and work spirit on the performance of the Office of Cooperatives and UMKM West Sumatra Province is 79.5%, while the remaining 20.5% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study, such as work discipline, job satisfaction, work behavior, work environment, and so on.

The paper considers the works included in the series of military-patriotic books for young people “Our Heroes”. Founded in 1968, this series consists of books by Udmurt writers about fellow Udmurt heroes, the Great Patriotic War veterans. The documentary fiction novellas of the national writer of the republic G. A. Khodyrev “The Eagle: The Tale of Pyotr Babkin” (1969; co-author V. V. Golubev) and “Soldier Spyridon Strelkov” (1976) were among the most prominent books in the series. The aim of the study is to identify the ways of reality reflection in the Udmurt documentary fiction prose for children and adolescents that uses the human experience of war heroes as the material and document as the medium as exemplified in the creative work of Herman Alekseevich Khodyrev (1932-1995). Scientific novelty lies in the following: it is the first time that based on the material of G. A. Khodyrev’s novellas, the role and place of the documentary-factual principle in Udmurt prose for children and adolescents were examined, the features of the aesthetic assimilation of the fact as the most important part of the poetics of a work were determined. The results of the study suggest that in the Udmurt children’s literature of the late 1960s – mid-1980s, documentary fiction works appear in which the image of a real hero is recreated through the use of the authentic facts and human fates of the Great Patriotic War period. G. A. Khodyrev’s novellas published in the series “Our Heroes” are characterised by the fact that the author managed to show the synthesis of universal national heroism and the manifestation of the individual human spirit in war. In his prose, such qualities of the “series” as a clear image of a real young hero’s formation against the background of specific historical events, the appeal to children’s perception through the memories technique, the lyrical descriptions of the nature of the native land, the author’s focus on activating the educational role of literature, the transformation of dry “newspaper” language into vivid, imaginative artistic speech are manifested.

The Nostalgic Home in E. M. Forster's Novels

Edward Morgan Forster wrote 6 novels, all of which revolve around the concept of home in relation to the representation of time and its impact on human soul and spirit. Homes of Forster are created by people and their emotions; hence they are very effective in their lives. In his Aspects of the Novel, Forster confirms that the art of fiction depends on facets like characters, plots, patterns, time, and places. This paper handles the representation of homes and the impact of time on these homes in E.M. Forester's Where Angels Fear to Tread, A Room With A View and Howard's End. In these novels Forster uses a recurrent theme; that is the impact of time on places and people. As Angels Fear to Tread echoes Alexander Pope's line in his An Essay on Criticism: "for fools rush in where angels fear to tread", the novel deals with concepts like national character, connection across social differences, the passage of time and its impact on places and houses. In A Room with A View, Forster contrasts Florence, Italy and Windy Corner, England, showing their influence on the development of Lucy, the heroine. Lucy is torn between two different lives. She misses the feeling of home, warmth and domesticity. She struggles throughout the whole novel to embrace love, security, and belonging. Home as a concept is an evasive axis in Forster's Howard's End. The novel is set in the Victorian era where all houses were rebuilt, reconstructed and replaced. There was a demanding rebuilding initiative across Britain, especially in London. That's why houses and places were obviously an entity for people's emotional values. In Howard's End, the Schlegels are evicted from Wickham place, and this leads to their dichotomy. The concepts of places, dwelling, passing of time, and nostalgia, give an opportunity for readers to observe the importance of home in modern life. In Forster's novels, homes are experienced on many levels: homes as places people have already visited and lived in; homes as places people imagined through pictures or dreams; and homes that are never visited or even imagined by dwellers. As John Edward Hardy states: "buildings, and the design of them, the architectural character of civilization, would seem to be in Forster's mind fundamentally related to its character of manners and morals", it would be significant to have a deeper look into the concept of home, time and nostalgia in relation to modern man. Through its portrayal of characters who navigate life’s challenges during wartime, the novel highlights the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. The examination reveals that war has a profound impact on the fabric of society, causing widespread destruction and loss. Still, it also unearths a deep sense of resilience in the face of adversity. The characters in the novel demonstrate their ability to endure and persevere despite the horrors of war, showcasing the human spirit’s unwavering strength in the face of adversity.

Reception of the Seven Years’ War in the Pages of A. P. Sumarokov’s “The Laboring Bee” (1759): The First Pacifist Pathos of Russian Journalism

The Seven Years’ War (1756–1763), in which the Russian army fought together with Austria, France, Spain, Saxony and Sweden against the armies of Prussia, Great Britain and Portugal, is considered by some researchers to be the first world war of the New Age by its time and scale of fighting. The reflection of the war in the pages of a periodical has an implicit character and needs to be interpreted. The theme of the war is cross-cutting for all 12 issues of the magazine. All military-related fragments from the magazine are imbued with the spirit of humanism and pacifism. For Sumarokov, war is the apocalypse, the destruction of the universe and all things. The author reflects on the price of victory, the terrible bloodshed, and the ruthlessness of death. Man is like God observing the life of another – a key phrase expressing the pacifist position of the editors of “Laboring Bee”.

Good and evil will never agree. A spiritual struggle is needed. The evil deeds of man testify to the absence of true, perfect knowledge. The factory of knowledge is a person who, with the help of existential and transcendental virtues and having a higher spiritual inoculation, a spiritual vaccine, knows, reveals in the universe the synergistic processual effect of ionization, that is, the transformation of potential good into ontological matters. At the same time, evil necessarily takes part in ionization, as a certain incentive to the opposite action. Ionization is caused by such an ionizer as the spiritual energy of a person, his organic cognition. This process is ontological and necessary for a person to master himself and win a place for himself in the transcendental world. The metastases of evil are so penetrating that a person cannot comprehend them from beginning to end. The natural ability of man to know the world is blocked by evil. If the earthly phenomena can be known in the main, then the supernatural ones - only a part, referring to irrationality, that is, the permissibility of existence, but the impossibility (absurdity) of revealing the essences. The philosophy of law, together with its introductions to the deontology of law and canon law, convincingly proves that it is necessary to learn about the world through the prism of law. In particular, the deontology of law appeared thanks to the ontology of law. The ontology of law derives from human organics about the laws of creation of the world. Every day of the creation of the world is justified by a specific system of laws: light, space and time, the plant world, the solar system, the nature of water-air space, the nature of terrestrial space. These are the fundamental laws of the development of the world, the laws of reality act on a person and in his body, thoughts and feelings. That is why man has a name - microcosm. Thoughts and other organic factors are the basis of the human spirit, which is the leader in relation to the body, the organism. The human spirit is influenced by various teachings, theories, and religions. This leads a person to confusion. The way out of the situation is found in canon law, which offers a single knowledge, a single theory, a single faith. Therefore, there is a need to pay attention to the knowledge of canon law.

REINTERPRETATION OF ECOLOGICAL VERSES TO IMPLEMENT ECO-ETHICS IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION

Modern commentators and intellectuals have begun to explore studies that link the position of humans and plants as a unity of living things created by God's holy creation. Generally, when talking about ecology, humans are used as the main character in caring for nature. Many verses in the Qur’an talk about how the human spirit is metaphorized with ecological elements. As a religious principle, Islam describes monotheism as a syajarah thayyibah whose roots reach the ground and its branches reach the sky (QS: 14:24). This research is qualitative descriptive-analytical research. Researchers will collect data related to this research. Furthermore, the data was analyzed to find a solution with the Maqashidi Interpretation method then relate it to how ecological ethics lives in Islamic education. This research focuses on QS. Al-Fatihah: 1 and Ar-Rum: 30. The result of this research show that the redaction of rabb al-'alamin in QS. Al-Fatihah shows the closeness between Rabb and 'alamin. On the other hand, the Qur’an explains that natural damage occurs due to human activities (QS.30:41). The implied meaning in the two verses is that humans, nature, and other creatures need each other and are encouraged to respect each other. An understanding of comprehensive ecological verses will have a good effect on ecological ethics in the world of Islamic education. The educational process provides knowledge about how nature works and how to interact with the natural world. The growing eco-Islamic movement utilises Islamic educational institutions, both traditional and modern as centres of environmental learning and teaching. The Islamic educational landscape remains essential in broadcasting environmental narratives that present ethical and educational visions relevant to contemporary ecological movements.

MANTRA PENGASIH MANDI ULAR CINTAMANI: KAJIAN STRUKTURAL, FUNGSI, DAN IMPLEMENTASINYA TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA

Abstract: This study aims to describe or describe the structure, function, and meaning of the self-compassion mantra, namely the mantra "Mandi Ular Cintamani". The research method used is descriptive method in the form of qualitative, by applying a structural approach. Data collection tools used are listening, reading, and note taking techniques. The validity technique used is triangulation. The data analysis used in this study is the data analysis technique of Miles and Huberman, which contains four components of the data analysis process, including the process of collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Judging from the results of data analysis, the structure of the spell was found, including: title element, opening element, intention element, suggestion element, purpose element, and closing element. Then, this mantra serves to conquer evil or evil things, fill supernatural powers, a medium of communication with God, amorous charms, and to shackle the human and jinn spirits. Meanwhile, the mantra cintamani snake bath has a figurative or connotative meaning. This research can be applied or implemented in junior high school grade VII odd semester, namely Basic Competency 3.14 and 4.14 about folk poetry.

The Principal's Strategy in Improving the Quality of Human Resource Management with a Humanistic Perspective in the Digitalization Era

This study aims to describe and analyze the application of a humanistic approach in school leadership, which impacts human resources development in the digitalization era. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. They collect data through participant observation, interviews, and documentation studies to achieve research objectives. A modified analytic analysis method was used to analyze the data. The level of credibility, dependability, transferability, and confirmability are the basis for data validity. The results of the study explain that personal excellence (integrity, wholeness, and self-authenticity) and the humanistic spirituality of inspirational figures inspire the humanistic approach of school principals. The results of this research empirically provide new hope for teachers, staff, students, and parents of students at the elementary level by applying a humanistic approach to school principals in the digital era. This finding has implications, where through a humanistic approach, school principals are more open to appreciating participation and view teachers, employees, and parents as human beings who have equality in building cooperation. Thus, through the humanistic approach of the school principal, the school environment becomes a place for empowering learning and the formation of human values that need to be upheld.

Augmented spirituality: Renewing human spirituality in a technology-driven world?

The last decades have witnessed major changes in the way spirituality is perceived and is being practiced. As digital technology is being fully integrated into our daily life, most human activities are moving from physical spaces to augmented spaces, i.e., hybrid spaces powered by computerized technology. One fascinating, yet emerging element of this digital revolution is the fact that spirituality is also moving to these augmented spaces. This paper explores how the needs for spirituality of Human beings can get actualized in the new age of technology. We will describe how technology is preparing and supporting a shift of spiritual experience from physical to augmented spaces, by analyzing how technology interacts with both spiritual practices (rituals and places) and mediators (officiants and artifacts). We will also describe how the new forms of inequalities may emerge from this shift and might further impact current and future spiritual practices.

Principal Academic Supervision in the Construction of Merdeka Curriculum Based on Humanistic Spiritual Values

The low quality of learning today is marked by the low learning outcomes of students. One of the indicators causing the low quality of learning is the weakness of school principals in academic supervision activities to leverage and empower the teaching potential of teachers. Thus, it is important to construct principals' academic supervision activities based on humanistic spirituality values according to the independent curriculum guidelines. The purpose of this study is to describe the reasons for implementing humanistic spiritual values and the role of the principal in academic supervision activities. The research method uses qualitative research, case study design. The participants in this study were 3 principals and 3 senior teachers from the 2 schools studied. Data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis used a modified analytic analysis method. The results of the study explain the reason for the principal's application of humanistic spiritual values (personal characteristics, the spirit that is lived in the school environment, and the appreciation of religious teachings) in academic supervision. In addition, the role of the principal in academic supervision is proven through ethical behavior, sincerity, patience, humility, sensibility, friendliness, equality, open communication, mutual respect. This research has implications for the development of school principals' academic supervision based on humanistic spiritual values in an effort to empower the teaching potential of teachers as evidenced by an increase in student achievement motivation.

Additionally, this study draws parallels between Bradbury’s cautionary tales of unrestrained media and technological influence and the realities of our current society. It begins with an exploration of how rapidly evolving circumstances lead individuals to estrange themselves from pursuing reading and knowledge. Subsequently, the analysis compares media addiction and technology dependence in the novel and their impact on contemporary human relationships and mental well-being. Lastly, the research examines why recognizing the importance of reading and reclaiming the value of knowledge and the human spirit remain crucial, even in an era dominated by artificial intelligence and digital advancements. In conclusion, this study underscores the significance of critical thinking and interpretation, highlighting the essence of books rather than their physical form.
