A broad resonance (\(\varGamma_{lab}{=}383\) keV) was observed around E p =1330 keV in the measurement of excitation function of Be 9 ( p , γ)B 10 reaction in the proton energy region from 1200 to 1900 keV. At this level, 7.78 MeV γ-ray (γ 0 ) was predominant (>83%) among the capture γ-rays, and its angular distribution was isotropic within the experimental error. Obtained \(\varGamma_{\gamma}\) was 14.6±1.5 eV. These results support the assignment 2 - to this level, but the strong E 1 transition to the ground state should suggest a large admixture of isotopic spin impurity of T =1 in T =0 at this level. The branching ratio of decaying γ-rays, the angular distribution and the large isotopic spin admixture are interpreted by the j j -coupling shell model, and the 1330 keV level is identified as a weak coupling s -wave proton resonance analogous to the 330 keV level.
