The aim of the study is to determine the communicative and pragmatic features of the functioning of English-language borrowings in the Norwegian economic discourse. It is noted that the use of English-language borrowings in Internet texts on crisis management is associated with a significant influence of the English language on the entire sphere of economic activity in Norway, especially on the exchange and digital sectors of the economy. English-language borrowings in the Norwegian economic discourse are characterised from the standpoint of interactional linguosemiotics. The study is novel in that it is the first to analyse the features of the functioning of English-language borrowings in Internet texts on crisis management in the structure of the Norwegian economic discourse. As a result of the study, the main functions of English-language borrowings in the Norwegian economic discourse have been identified, including the nominative, lacunae filling, vocabulary replenishment, expressive, language economy, bilingualism and code switching functions.
