Evaluation of mutagenic activity of cooking oil vapors by mouse sperm abnormality test

Three brands of commercial cooking oil were simmered to evaporation on 23-cm-diameter frying pans. The oil vapors were collected on silica gel and activated charcoal adsorption columns. The samples were desorbed by acetone and carbon disulfide, respectively. Mouse sperm abnormality tests revealed no mutagenic activity.
