Training of Specialists in the Field of Information and Library Science in Polish Universities (Experience of the First Decades of the 21st Cent.)

The aim of the article is to review the areas of training specialists in library and information science in higher education institutions of Poland at the beginning of the 21st cent. Research methods. The offered research is based on the analytical and synthetic analysis of scientific publications by leading Polish scientists who studied the issues of higher library and information education. The author’s presentation of the current state of university education in the information and library sphere in Poland is based on the processing of materials from the official web portals of higher education establishments that provide specialised training for their applicants. Among a complex of special research methods, the method of content analysis is used to identify the views of certain scientists on the problems of development of information and library education in Poland. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the formulation of the problem that is practically unresearched in Ukrainian science, and requires studying in view of the practical significance of the Polish experience in reforming higher education of the information and library sphere. Main conclusions. In the process of this research, it is found that in Poland the process of transforming the training of information and library specialists in accordance with the needs of modern information society has not yet been completed. There are still scientific discussions on optimising the nomenclature of the training areas at universities, as well as variants of creating interdisciplinary specialities are being considered, some of which have been tested for several years in some higher education institutions. The analysis of the official websites of 11 state universities in Poland has highlighted tendencies toward a rapid reduction in the classical programmes of training in the field of information and library science, which is primarily caused by the demands of potential employers and the increased integration of the latest technologies into all spheres of society activity.

Research on the effectiveness of intervention strategies for students with special needs is an important research topic in the field of special education. Until now, the majority of special education research on this topic has been based on the use of frequentist statistics and pre- and post-test designs. However, recent research in the natural and social sciences has criticised the limitations of frequentist statistics and emphasised the importance of reliable longitudinal data. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to introduce a Bayesian longitudinal data analysis model that can overcome the limitations of frequentist statistics in special education situations where longitudinal data are collected. According to the results of this study, when using Bayesian longitudinal data analysis model to test the effectiveness of intervention strategies, it is not only possible to reflect previous studies in parameter estimation, but also to continuously update the effect size of existing intervention strategies. In addition, it is possible to estimate effect sizes with good reliability even in research conditions with a small number of cases, such as in the field of special education. Finally, the limitations of Bayesian theory and future research topics are discussed.

Literature Study: Transfer Learning for COVID-19 Disease Analysis Based on Chest X-ray Dataset

The urgency of the impact of the COVID-19 disease that attacks people around the world encourages special research, especially in the field of artificial intelligence. This study aims to conduct a literature study related to the use of artificial intelligence, especially transfer learning in analyzing COVID-19 disease based on chest X-ray datasets. The research method of this research adapts the Preferred Reporting for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. The results of the analysis of this data to answer research questions regarding the transfer learning model for the analysis of COVID-19 disease based on the chest X-ray dataset, it is known that the models used are MobileNet, Inception, VGG and ResNet. MobileNetV2 can be optimized by adding a global average pooling layer, dropout layer and dense layer and get an accuracy of 98.65%. InceptionV3 can be combined with Xception and get 98.8% accuracy. VGG-16 can be combined with ResNet-50 Xception and get 98.93% accuracy. ResNet-50 can be optimized by adding a dropout layer and a dense layer and getting an accuracy of 97.65%.

НАУЧНО-ОБРАЗОВАТЕЛЬНОЕ ПРОСТРАНСТВО В НОВЫХ ГЕОПОЛИТИЧЕСКИХ РЕАЛИЯХ СОВРЕМЕННОГО МИРА: ТЕНДЕНЦИИ И ПЕРСПЕКТИВЫ

The relevance of the topic is related to the need to determine Russia’s place in the modern educational space, taking into account the challenges that determine the current situation in the world. The statement of the problem and the scope of this article are determined by the need to understand the processes of transformation of the education system throughout the world and in Russia. The methodological basis of this study is an approach that combines a number of general scientific and special research methods, which made it possible to study the raised problem systematically and, as a result, present the author’s forecast for the development of the educational space. Currently, the scientific and educational space should not be considered in the categories of “openness”, “equality” and “accessibility”. This approach, which idealizes the modern scientific and educational space, is erroneous, since it does not provide a clear understanding of the meaning of competitive relations in the modern education system. The modern scientific and educational space is a hierarchical system of various educational spaces (global, regional, national), the development trend of which is regionalization, as a result of which the educational space is reformatted under the influence of the politicization of educational activities. Currently, Russia is becoming one of the centers of power in the global geopolitical space, which determines the attractiveness of the Russian educational system, contributing to the transformation of Russia into one of the leaders of the modern educational space.

LEGAL REGULATION OF THE RIGHT OF OWNERSHIP OF NATURAL RESOURCES IN THE ADOPTION OF AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

The article considers some issues of legal regulation of the ownership of natural resources. Analysis of the problems of the content of the real right to natural resources under consideration and related legal relations, as well as consideration of effective recommendations for its development and improvement based on the study of the fundamental principles is the purpose of writing the work. The relevance of the topic is justified by the social value of the realization of the right of ownership of natural resources for the population and the state in terms of meeting their needs. The use of general and special research methods in interaction is necessary to substantiate the author's opinion. The specificity of the object of research consists in the impossibility of isolating a separate natural resource from the environment, therefore it must be considered in interaction with it. The paper deals with the content of the concept of ownership of natural resources, which is complicated by the lack of a definition of the concept of "natural resources" in the legislation. The application of this institution in legislation and law enforcement practice along with the concept of "components of the natural environment" creates difficulties, especially in determining the priority in regulating the ownership of natural resources by civil or environmental (natural resource) legislation. This issue becomes relevant in the light of the adoption of amendments to the Constitution, in particular, regarding article 6. The constitutional provision on the ownership of natural resources by the people requires amendments to other normative legal acts regulating relevant issues in relation to this right. By the resolution of the Constitutional Council, this property is public law. In this regard, the question of applying the state property regime to this property may be controversial, since state and public property are different concepts in which state and public interests are the objects of the goals pursued.

Roles and Abilities of Academic and Research Librarians in Optimizing Access to Information: An Interpretative Analysis from the Romanian Librarians’ and Users’ Perspective

Abstract This study addresses the role of Romanian academic and research librarians in optimizing access to information in the digital age, in relation to quality management and knowledge management. The novelty of this study consists in its parallel analysis of both librarians’ and users’ perspectives on librarians’ roles and abilities in optimizing access to information. The results obtained by means of interpretative qualitative analysis combined with descriptive quantitative analysis revealed that Romanian librarians succeed in providing good information services, however, the demands and expectations of users highlight a continuous need for integration of librarians into the mission of the universities and research institutes, and knowledge sharing and a series of innovations are recommended. The results obtained by interpretative analysis, combined with quantitative analysis for corroboration, point to four interrelated themes regarding the Romanian librarians’ roles and abilities in optimizing access to information. The first principal idea is that librarians’ abilities and competencies are key assets for Romanian academic and special research libraries. The second is that Romanian librarians need training in knowledge management and quality management. The third is that embedded librarianship and knowledge sharing could add quality to libraries services. Finally, the fourth is that competency management can determine engagement of Romanian librarians in improving access to information.

On Improving the Innovation System in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation: Prospects for the Implementation of the Startup Studio Model

Introduction. The relevance of the research topic in difficult military and political conditions is determined by the need to improve the innovation system in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Methods. When writing the article, a wide range of general scientific, private scientific and special research methods were used. Results. The generalization of advanced law-making and law enforcement experience in the implementation by special units for innovative development of the US Department of Defense of the concept of “Entrepreneurial University” (“University 3.0”), allowed us to positively assess the prospects for embedding the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the innovative model “startup studio”, focused on the development of promising innovative dual-use technologies, currently implemented by the Fund for Infrastructure and educational programs jointly with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The conclusion is substantiated that the integration of the Ministry of Defense into a proven financial model can enhance the attractiveness of cooperation between all parties to the partnership (investor, university, students, representatives of the defense industry, the state) in terms of the potential opportunity to participate in the defense order, career growth in the research structures of the defense industry and the military department, the use of the research infrastructure of Technopolis, additional investments through the ERA Foundation LLC, This will have a positive impact on improving the innovation development system of the Ministry of Defense and the state’s defense capability. Discussion and Conclusion. Recommendations have been developed to improve the model of innovative activity of small university enterprises – “startup studio”, adapted to the needs of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, presented in the form of an author’s concept of a regulatory legal act.

Концепція маркетингової логістики продукції рослинництва та її роль у економічній діяльності сільськогоспо-дарських підприємств

This study adopts a unique approach, drawing on the dialectical method of cognition, fundamental economic theory, marketing, and logistics principles, as well as the works of domestic and foreign scientists. The focus is on the formation of marketing logistics concepts for agricultural enterprises in crop production in the agri-food products market, presenting a fresh perspective that will intrigue and engage the reader. To carry out the research, various general and special scientific research methods were used, including theoretical generalization and comparison (formulation of conclusions and terminology in marketing logistics), monographic (in-depth study of marketing logistics), historical-retrospective (analysis of marketing logistics development), heuristic (assessment of marketing logistics processes in agri-food product markets), graphic (representation of research results and economic process trends), etc. The ‘supply chain of agro-food products’ and its economic significance are explained in detail, making the audience aware of its crucial role. The study establishes the crucial role of logistics in supplying agri-food products for ensuring global food security and promoting competitiveness in Ukraine’s agricultural sector. An analysis of the functions of marketing and logistics of agricultural enterprises revealed a strong connection between the two. Typically, this relationship is demonstrated through elements of the marketing mix, such as product and pricing policies and distribution policies. The product policy in marketing is identified as the most significant element of the marketing mix for agrarian sector enterprises. The author’s definition of the economic essence of the concept of “marketing logistics” is proposed, which performs the management function of coordinating and coordinating marketing and logistics activities in food supply chains and is focused on methods that ensure an adequate level of customer service to provide competitive advantages to enterprises of the agrarian sector in the markets of agri-food products. The concept of marketing logistics for an agricultural enterprise was developed to improve the effectiveness of logistics functions in agrarian formations and implement marketing-based logistics activities. The study provides a comprehensive analysis of the long-term evolution (1961-2021) and price forecast (2023-2031) for agri-food products in real terms. It also offers insights into the structure of global consumption of agri-food products according to needs (food needs, animal feed, biofuel, other needs) in 2019-2021, and a forecast of its development for 2031 based on data from the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO). This information will keep the audience informed and prepared for future developments in the agri-food industry. Use of special technical means (polygraph) on personnel recruitment in corporate structures

The article studies some aspects of specialized polygraph device application in the process of personnel recruitment in corporate structures. The authors cite the sociological surveys results that reflect the attitude of employers and employees towards polygraph checks at the stage of their employment. The methods and spheres of polygraph application for professional-psychological selection have been analyzed. The special psychophysiological research procedure with the use of the polygraph has been described, including recommendations on the questions formulation to obtain reliable results. The legislation of the Russian Federation regulating the conduct of such research has also been considered. The authors concluded that the use of the polygraph device is a relevant and promising tool, which is increasingly used in the personnel recruitment in corporate structures, as evidenced by the sociological surveys results. However, the research peculiarity on the polygraph tests prospects in personnel recruitment is currently complicated by the lack of open data from the companies themselves, since such data constitute commercial secrets and are not subject to public disclosure in accordance with the Federal Law “On Trade Secrets”.

The participation of Red Army soldiers in the providing of complete collectivization in Podillia

The purpose of the article is, based on the analysis of archival sources, general and special literature, to shed light on the participation of Red Army soldiers in the providing of complete collectivization in Podillya. The research methodology is based on the principles of objectivity and historicism using both general scientific and special research methods: problem-chronological, historical-comparative, critical analysis method. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the disclosure of an insufficiently studied problem in Ukrainian historiography, designed to clarify the role and place of the Red Army in the establishment of the Bolshevik totalitarian regime in the Podilsk village. Conclusions. The Red Army, from the moment of its creation, was considered by the Bolsheviks as one of the institutions of the implementation of the communist regime. Being 2/3 peasant in terms of social composition, it was to become a school of political education and cultural enlightenment in the spirit of communist ideas for former peasant owners. The strengthening of such work is observed at the end of the 1920s, when the regime's attempt to resume the "military-communist assault" ran into desperate resistance from the peasantry and became a threat to the existence of the communist government. From that time, the Bolshevik leadership not only set specific tasks for the Red Army, but also tried to systematically control the political and moral attitudes of the Red Army. One of the important directions of the work of military units was to assist the authorities in the process of socialization of one-person peasant farms. In the conditions of complete collectivization, the army was entrusted with tasks not only of an educational and propaganda nature, but also of direct participation in the collectivization of the village. In particular, the military units stationed in Podilla were involved in: training personnel for collective farm construction; taking over the villages that were transitioning to complete collectivization; sending groups of Red Army soldiers to collective farms to perform specific tasks; admission to collectives by whole divisions; organization of special Red Army collective farms. By carrying out extensive educational and propaganda work, applying methods of ensuring military discipline and practicing selective repression among the commanding and rank-and-file staff, the Bolshevik authorities managed not only to overcome oppositional sentiments in the army, but also to turn it into an obedient tool of the communist dictatorship.

Effective Use of Modern Technologies in Learning in the Educational Process as one of the Factors Affecting Quality (Case-Based Technology)

The research led to the following conclusion. An attempt to use case technology in pedagogic lessons consistently, and even more precisely, in each lesson may turn out to be useless. Firstly, preparation of quality cases for each lesson requires a lot of effort and time. Low-quality notes prepared by a teacher who cannot achieve this in a short time will do more harm than good. Secondly, it is unacceptable to keep students in constant tension during classes. Thirdly, this technology is aimed at researching and solving individual problems (situations). This is ineffective from the point of view of formation of system knowledge and skills on the subject. Finally, the lesson is successful if you purposefully apply different technologies in interaction. Like all other learning technologies, the application of the case method is in the center of attention. Like all other learning technologies, the strengths and weaknesses of the case method are based on conducting special research on the basis of an experiment, creating a new one. a scientific opinion, a different position, a grounded theoretical generalization about this technology, interesting and can lead to the development of useful training models.

Viral Load Suppression in People Living with HIV Before and During the COVID-19 Pandemic in Brooklyn, New York.

Consistent care is crucial for the health maintenance of people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) (PWH). The coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic disrupted patient care in New York City (NYC), yet few studies investigated the association between COVID-19 and viral load suppression in PWH in NYC. This study aims to assess how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted HIV viral load and CD4 + T-cell counts in PWH. Medical records of 1130 adult HIV patients who visited the Special Treatment and Research Health Center in Brooklyn, NY, between January 2019 and May 2023 were compared across three timeframes (pre-pandemic, January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019; first pandemic phase, March 19, 2020 to December 31, 2020; and second pandemic phase, January 1, 2021 to May 11, 2023). Demographic and clinical variables (e.g. viral load and CD4 + T cell count) were assessed. About 40% of patients did not have routine laboratory monitoring during the first pandemic phase compared with pre-pandemic. The mean HIV viral load was higher during the second pandemic phase compared with pre-pandemic (p = 0.009). The percentages of patients with undetectable HIV viral load and numbers (mm3) of CD4 + T-cells were similar for all time periods. These findings indicate that the COVID-19 pandemic may have exacerbated challenges for individuals who already had barriers to medication adherence or access. However, most individuals remained consistently on their antiretrovirals throughout the pandemic. Further studies are warranted to determine how to mitigate the impact of future pandemics for the health of PWH.

Union of Writers of Khakassia 1992-1998. The role of personality

The oldest and most authoritative creative union in the Republic of Khakassia is the Union of Writers. In the 1990s, the system of organizing the economic life of the writers' organization was destroyed, and the work of the association during this period was dictated by the need to preserve the experience of organizational work accumulated in Soviet times, to find new mechanisms for further existence and creative development. The subject of the study is the activity of N.M. Akhpasheva as chairman of the Union of Writers of Khakassia (1992–1998). She was able to maintain the capacity and authority of the creative association. The object of the study is the Union of Writers of Khakassia as a creative association that has a direct impact on the development of culture of the Republic of Khakassia. Special attention is paid in the study to the mechanism of activity of the regional writers' department and the influence of the personality of the chairman, N. M. Akhpasheva, on it. In the process of work, special historical research methods were used: problem-chronological, historical-genetic, historical-comparative, historical-systemic. The narrative method (sometimes called descriptive-narrative) was used for a coherent presentation of documents examined in the archives about the activities of N.M. Akhpasheva and the Writers' Union. For the first time, the paper attempts to analyze the peculiarities of the relationship between the chairman of the Union of Writers of Khakassia N.M. Akhpasheva and colleagues within the creative union, its relationship with the authorities and society of the Republic of Khakassia in the period 1991–2021. The scientific novelty lies in the study of creative guidelines in the most influential creative association of the selected period. The author pays attention to the contribution of the chairman of the creative organization N.M. Akhpasheva to the development of national and regional culture. When analyzing archival documents of this period, the directions of activity are traced, new approaches in organizing the activities of writers are identified, and the conclusion is made about the importance of the role of the creative association and its chairman in the culture of the republic of this period. All this gives us the right to present a general panorama of the activity of the chairman and the creative union, the role of individual representatives in the cultural and historical life of the Republic of Khakassia during the selected period, as well as in clarifying the main forms of activity of the association.

European Union Directive on the Fight Against Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism from the Aspect of Human Rights

Abstract This paper analyses the directives of the European Union on the fight against money laundering and financing of terrorism (AMLD) as one of the key measures of the European Union in the fight against international terrorism after September 11, 2001, from the aspect of respect for human rights. Through various revisions, from the first AMLD to the most recent, this legislative framework has been progressively improved to respond to emerging challenges in the financial world and to strengthen the fight against financial crimes. In the paper, a special research focus is given to solutions to the “security vs. human rights” and problems in the implementation of AMLD. The results of the analysis show that the European Union is developing the AMLD measure regarding the dilemma “security vs. human rights” found an adequate balance, i.e. AMLD is continuously developing in such a way that it respects human rights while not jeopardizing the effectiveness of protecting democratic societies within the EU and accepted common values.

Theoretical Foundations of the Foreign Economic Relations Strategy of the Russian Federation at the Present Stage

Introduction. The author of this text is convinced that in the modern world foreign economic relations remain a crucial way of maintaining economic activity. Sustainable economic relations with other states are a necessary condition for the country's economic growth. However, due to changes in the global financial, economic and political systems, Russia is forced to look for new economic and political allies. The main task for our country is to establish close and mutually beneficial relations with the leading countries of the East, such as China and India, in order to ensure economic security in the face of possible isolation in the international arena.Materials and methods. The methodological basis of this research was made up of general scientific and special research methods, such as induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, classification, comparative, descriptive, comparative, logical, structural-functional methods, various methods of statistical analysis. The author of the study used tabular and graphical forms of representation of the processes and phenomena under consideration.Research results. The study revealed that Russian government authorities use various tools to maintain foreign trade and ensure economic security in the context of anti-Russian sanctions. The balance between protectionist and free trade policies depends on the situation in international markets, the geopolitical situation in the world, but especially on the level of competitiveness. The introduction of sanctions by the collective West has become the main factor, changing the foreign economic situation for Russia in 2022. Russia’s new foreign economic strategy is based on the search for friendly partners, willing to purchase sanctioned goods. Thanks to this strategy, Russia was able to reorient foreign economic relations towards Asia and the Middle East, as well as to establish parallel imports while maintaining competitiveness and even increasing foreign trade turnover.Discussion and conclusion. The need for Russia to enter the Chinese and Indian trade markets and to strengthen foreign economic relations with Asia is substantiated; the main groups of goods that can contribute to the development of mutually beneficial exchange and strengthening of economic cooperation between these countries are analyzed; the possibility and importance of further development of foreign economic relations with Asian states, which can become no less important and useful partners for Russia than the former states of Europe, have been proven.

On the implementation of the green deal policy in Ukraine

Purpose: to conduct a comprehensive study of the process of Ukraine's European integration into the European Union by amending national legislation in order to adopt and adapt the Green Deal policy and its provisions to Ukrainian realities, especially for the agricultural sector. Research methods: general (analysis, synthesis, comparison, induction, deduction) and special research methods (system-functional, formal-logical, formal-legal) were used in combination. Results: The article analyzes and studies the legal acts regulating the process of Ukraine's European integration and the fulfillment of its commitments in the field of ecology and EU support for achieving climate neutrality. Successful implementation of the Green Deal policy in Ukrainian legislation requires a comprehensive approach that considers legal aspects. Therefore, these aspects should be addressed in cooperation with international partners who are experienced in successful implementation of such reforms. Discussion: In the context of the current challenges of the climate crisis and the need for transition to a sustainable economy, the Green Deal policy is becoming a key tool for ensuring environmental sustainability and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. As it supports the basic principles of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which were introduced to create a greener living environment. However, the implementation of this policy in laws of Ukraine faces numerous practical problems and requires improvement of legal base (laws) in many areas. Therefore, this includes the adoption of new laws and regulations, the creation of financial support mechanisms, regulation of emissions, and the promotion of innovation. Only with an appropriate legislative framework Ukraine will be able to effectively implement the principles of sustainable development and join the pan-European efforts to deal with Climate Change.

СТАНОВЛЕНИЕ И РАЗВИТИЕ ПРАКТИК ИНИЦИАТИВНОГО БЮДЖЕТИРОВАНИЯ НА ПРИМЕРЕ РЕСПУБЛИКИ СЕВЕРНАЯ ОСЕТИЯ-АЛАНИЯ

The paper is devoted to the analysis and assessment of the formation and development of proactive budgeting practices in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. The practice of proactive budgeting (PB) is a democratic process in which citizens can decide on the allocation and implementation of a portion of the state budget. The relevance of the research topic is due to the widespread use of proactive budgeting practices at the municipal level in the Russian Federation. The purpose of the study is to analyze and assess the current state of proactive budgeting practices in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. The research materials include federal laws, government regulations, data from official sources on the implementation of information security projects in the region and Russia, and the works of domestic authors on the formation and development of proactive budgeting. In the process of this issue research, general scientific methods were used: qualitative and quantitative methods, comparative analysis and structure analysis, special research methods in the form of system analysis and strategic planning. As a result of the study, the formation and development of proactive budgeting in the region was studied, the current level of information security development in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania was determined, arguments were given about the need to develop information security practices, and measures were proposed for the further stable development of initiative budgeting practices in the region.

Краткая история формирования калмыцкого фонда Восточного отдела Научной библиотеки Санкт-Петербургского университета

Introduction. The collection of manuscripts and printed books in the Oirat Сlear Script, stored at St. Petersburg State University, is of great importance for the study of the history and culture of the Oirats, especially the Kalmyks. Although the collection of books on “clear Script”, stored at St. Petersburg State University, is one of the best in the world, the history of its formation and composition has never been the subject of special research. Meanwhile, this collection was collected by outstanding orientalists of the 19th century, and although the origin of some manuscripts is obscure, this fact does not make them less valuable. Therefore, the main purpose of this article was to find out the history of the formation of the collection to give an overview of the materials contained in it. Results. This collection brought together in the 19th century by the efforts of such outstanding Russian Mongolologists as A. V. Popov, V. P. Vasiliev, K. F. Golstunsky and A. M. Pozdneev. The collection mainly contains Buddhist books. The manuscripts collected by V. P. Vasiliev belonged to the seventeenth son of the Kangxi Emperor (reigned 1661–1722) Yunli (1697–1738) and are mostly unique or very rare. In 1860, K. F. Golstunsky handed over to the university library the manuscript of the “Biography” of Zaya Pandita (Calm C 20), written in gold on dark paper, which became a “calling card” of the Kalmyk Foundation. An important place in the collection is occupied by personal archival materials of scholars G. S. Lytkin and N. A. Lebedev. G. S. Lytkin stayed in the Kalmyk Steppe in 1859–1860 and during this time collected extensive historical and ethnographic materials. N. A. Lebedev was a translator in the Asian Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and translated medical writings into Kalmyk from Russian, as well as laws and educational books. Conclusions. The collection of books in Clear Script, kept at St. Petersburg State University, is a collection of the most valuable sources for studying the history of the Kalmyks and their spiritual culture. Buddhist writings make up the bulk of the collection. Russian and Kalmyk parallel texts, as well as Russian texts with Kalmyk translations of separate words and expressions, are valuable sources for studying the vocabulary of the Kalmyk language. Many texts are valuable legal documents date back to the first half of the 19th century.

LOLA DEM Assisted Photogrammetric Processing of Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter NAC Images for the Lunar South Pole

Abstract. Because of its special significance, exploration missions and research at the Lunar South Pole (LSP) are of considerable importance. The mapping products of the LSP such as Digital Ortho Maps (DOMs) and Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) are essential to support exploration missions. However, in the LSP region, the available data are relatively limited. The large amounts of shadows and the special environment of the LSP has an important impact on both image matching and generation of mapping products. In this paper, we propose a photogrammetric processing method to improve the accuracy of the LRO NAC images by using LOLA DEM as auxiliary control data. The LOLA DEM was first rendered using the same illumination conditions as the corresponding LRO NAC raw images, and then matched to the LRO NAC DOMs. Next, the corresponding elevations of the tie points between LOLA DEMs and LRO NAC images were extracted and automatically added to the control network for bundle adjustment. In order to verify the feasibility of the method, we selected 17 LRO NAC images near the LSP at 85° south latitude. The results show that the proposed method can efficiently acquire uniformly distributed elevation control points for bundle adjustment and the generated DEM has a good consistency with the LOLA DEM.

LIVED EXPERIENCES OF RECEIVING TEACHERS IN HANDLING BEHAVIORAL ISSUES OF STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

This qualitative phenomenological study provides a comprehensive exploration of the challenges, strategies; coping mechanisms, and insights experienced by receiving teachers in addressing behavioral issues among students with special needs in inclusive education settings. Through in-depth focus group discussions with five receiving teachers from Island Garden City of Samal, Davao Del Norte, the study exposes the real struggle and complexities of managing diverse behavioral concerns. The thematic analysis uncovers the intricate web of both academic obstacles and behavioral manifestations, prompting the development and implementation of tailored strategies, including individualized behavior plans and collaborative problem-solving approaches. Moreover, the study highlights the vital role of coping mechanisms, such as seeking support from colleagues and prioritizing self-care practices amidst the demanding educational landscape. The insights gleaned from teachers lived experiences underscore the transformative potential of empathy, adaptability, and inclusive teaching methodologies. Ultimately, the research advocates for targeted professional development initiatives and collaborative support networks to empower receiving teachers to effectively navigate the unique challenges presented by students with special needs, especially students with behavioral issues. By promoting inclusive and supportive learning environments, this study contributes significantly to the enhancement of special education practices and resources.
