Rainfall Duration’s Impact on Mining Earthmoving Equipment Performance – Case Study at PT. BUMA GEO-AJE, South Kalimantan

This study investigates the impact of rainfall duration on the performance of earthmoving equipment at PT BUMA, GEO-AJE, South Kalimantan. Data from April 2023 covering 29 days were analyzed using SPSS 22 and Origin 2024. The study revealed a 7.06637% decrease in excavator and dump truck efficiency per hour of rainfall. Cycle times were increased by 0.15122 minutes for excavators and 4.50034 minutes for dump trucks per hour of rain. Moreover, excavator productivity declined by 1138.82900 bcm/day and dump truck productivity by 176.21836 bcm/day. These results highlight the necessity of accounting for rainfall in mining operations, especially in productivity forecasts and equipment management.

Pendampingan Usahatani Jagung Pakan dan Kedelai Edamame pada Ponpes Nurul Muhibbin, Kalimantan Selatan

Routine assistance to several Islamic boarding schools, including the Nurul Muhibbin Halong Islamic Boarding School, is the Adaro Santri Sejahtera (PASS) Program. This program focuses on skill development so that besides having religious knowledge, students are also expected to know about entrepreneurship. This mentoring activity is a form of Community Service (PkM) for Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) as a driving effort to develop a business unit for cultivating and marketing community agricultural products, such as feed corn and organic edamame. This activity is also aimed at making Islamic boarding schools more prosperous, independent, and advanced in learning religious knowledge and providing students with knowledge and skills in agribusiness to become independent people. This activity was carried out for four months (August‒December 2021) at the Nurul Muhibbin Islamic Boarding School, Halong District, Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan, with a target number of participants of 20 people. The method used in this activity is a classical and individual approach. The classical approach was taken when providing theory regarding the introduction of feed corn cultivation and organic edamame, while the individual approach was taken when filling out the questionnaire. This service activity produces elements of Islamic boarding school students, caregivers, and congregation farmers who have knowledge, understanding, and skills in intensive feed corn and organic edamame cultivation. This is essential capital for the Islamic boarding school to continue and develop farming to create an independent Islamic boarding school.

Measurement model of the influence of strategic management accounting on the growth of drinking water companies in South Kalimantan

This study discusses strategic human resource management in Regional Drinking Water Companies (PDAM) in South Kalimantan, focusing on operational challenges and dynamics of clean water management. This study uses quantitative methods with SEM PLS analysis to evaluate company efficiency, performance, and growth. Data were collected from four PDAMs representing various districts, covering 153 respondents. The results of the analysis show that company efficiency has a significant effect on growth, with T-Statistics 4.414 and P-Value 0.000. In addition, company performance is proven to affect efficiency (T-Statistics 8.820, P-Value 0.000) and growth (T-Statistics 2.696, P-Value 0.007). The application of strategic management accounting also contributes positively to efficiency (T-Statistics 2.670, P-Value 0.008) and growth (T-Statistics 2.605, P-Value 0.009). Mediation analysis shows that company performance and efficiency play a role in linking strategic management accounting to growth. This study provides important insights for PDAM management to implement strategic management accounting practices to improve efficiency, performance, and sustainable growth in facing challenges in the public service sector.

Uncovering the dynamics of individual learning and employee adaptability in influencing innovation behavior

The success of organizations in the era of ever-changing business is greatly influenced by the adaptability, creativity, and innovation factors of employees, which are obtained through effective learning. Organizations that implement a learning culture encourage employees to adapt and internalize learning from past experiences. Employees who are active in training become more creative and adaptive, increasing their ability to deal with change. This study aims to explore the relationship between Individual Learning, Employee Adaptability, Employee Creativity, and Employee Innovation Behavior, especially in the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in South Kalimantan. Through a quantitative approach with analysis using Partial Least Square (PLS), this study found that individual learning significantly affects employee adaptability and creativity, and contributes to their innovative behavior. The results of the study indicate the need for a longitudinal approach to understand the dynamics of changes in employee adaptability and creativity in the context of public services. This study identifies the importance of supporting factors such as management support and work environment that influence employee innovation.

Key to successful legislation on the role of professional commitment, organizational behavior and understanding of legislation

This study aims to examine the effect of Professional Commitment (X1) and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (X2) on Legislative Function Performance (Y) through Legislative Function Understanding (Z) as a mediating variable among members of the South Kalimantan Provincial DPRD. The research method uses a quantitative design with mediation analysis. Data were collected from 117 DPRD member respondents using a questionnaire that was tested for validity and reliability. The results of the analysis showed that X2 did not have a significant effect on Y (p-value = 0.089), while X2 had a significant negative effect on Z (p-value = 0.000). On the other hand, X1 showed a significant negative effect on Y (p-value = 0.000), but was not significant on Z (p-value = 0.337). Legislative Function Understanding (Z) did not function as a mediator between X2 and Y (p-value = 0.882) and between X1 and Y (p-value = 0.905). These findings emphasize the importance of increasing the professional commitment of DPRD members and paying attention to organizational citizenship behavior in an effort to improve legislative performance, while also showing that understanding the legislative function does not strengthen the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Further research is needed to explore other factors that may affect legislative performance.

Analysis of Leading Commodities of Plantation Sub-Sectors in Tanah Laut District, South Kalimantan Province

Leading commodities are crucial for understanding the potential of commodities in both national and international markets. Exceptional products can serve as distinct catalysts for regional growth. This study aims to investigate potential alternative plantation commodities, assess the development of production growth rates, analyze regional market share growth, proportional growth of net commodity growth in the plantation sub-sector, and identify the position of plantation sub-sector commodities in Tanah Laut District. Time series data from 2013 to 2021 were utilized, employing Shift Share Analysis, Location Quotient (LQ) Analysis, Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ) Analysis, and Klassen Typology. The analysis revealed that although palm oil and cloves are basic commodities, they are experiencing a decline in perspective, whereas rubber, coconut, sugar palm, coffee, and pepper are prospective commodities for future development. Shift Share Analysis concluded that the regional market share growth of palm oil has good competitiveness and a positive Proportional Growth value, with coffee and sugar palm exhibiting rapid growth. Klassen Typology Analysis indicated that coconut, coffee, pepper, and sugar palm fall within the category of advanced but pressured sectors, while palm oil is categorized as a potential sector.

Design And Build Project Risk Analysis at Tugu Pal 0 Stage II Project Construction

The implementation of the design and build method in the Phase II Pal Nol Monument construction project, managed by the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (PUPR) of South Kalimantan Province, aims to analyze the risks associated with the design and construction processes. This project, which utilizes an integrated design and build construction method (multi-year), is located on Jl. Dharma Praja within the South Kalimantan Provincial Office Area and executed by the contractor KSO ADHI-PUTRA. A comprehensive risk mitigation strategy for the project includes detailed work planning, effective coordination, periodic evaluation, a thorough understanding of design specifications, continuous risk analysis, flexible contingency plans, and strong communication with government entities and stakeholders. Factors Affecting Project Owners' Commitment to Implement Green Building Principles in the South Kalimantan Province of Indonesia

The construction of green buildings faces various challenges, including high costs, extended implementation timelines, and numerous requirements that must be satisfied. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the implementation of green buildings. The research focuses on the PUPR Office in South Kalimantan Province, as well as planning consultants, construction management personnel, and contractors involved in the construction projects of the South Kalimantan Sports Hall and the Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjari Mosque in South Kalimantan Province. Key factors affecting the implementation of green buildings include financial commitment, energy savings, and the utilization of environmentally friendly materials. These factors encompass several variables: additional fund allocation for green buildings, the skills and experience of designers, the integration of natural and artificial lighting, energy-saving planning, the application of prefabrication technology and flatpack design, the use of sustainable materials, the incorporation of local wisdom, and strategies for light efficiency and outsourcing that involve gain sharing. Jejak Okupasi Manusia Prasejarah di Situs Gua Batu Baras, Kalimantan Selatan

Batu Baras Cave, located in Bangkalan Dayak village, is an archaeological site in the limestone hill area of ​​Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan. Kalimantan prehistoric times have not been established as well as in Java. Recent publications reveal human occupation in the Preneolithic-Paleometallic period in the Kotabaru karst, including in Batu Cave, Cililin Cave 1, Jauharlin Cave 1, and Batu Baras Cave. This article describes the variability of archaeological findings to reveal that human occupation occurred in Batu Baras Cave. Morphological and stylistic analysis aims to illustrate the variety of archaeological data found. We used several approaches to compile the interpretation, including zooarchaeology, paleoanthropology, and spatial. Our result reveals that human occupation in Batu Baras Cave occurred in the early Prenolithic-Neolithic period in 12,402-4,230 calBP. Batu Baras Cave became a dwelling and burial site for the Australomelanesid population in the Preneolithic. The Austronesians inhabited Batu Baras Cave in the Neolithic.

Improved Shipping Company Performance Created by Digital Business Transformation and Corporate Culture

The pace of digital business transformation is accelerating; digital transformation cannot be a one-time activity, so organizations must develop a continuous development mentality and culture of adapting services and systems faster and more frequently by incorporating new technologies and practices to meet customer expectations. The study aimed to analyze the effect of digital transformation on cultural transformation on the performance of shipping companies, with job satisfaction as a mediating factor. Data analysis in this study is SEM analysis with the analysis of moment structure (AMOS) program. Respondents in this study were all employees who handled ship arrival and departure permits at 39 shipping companies in South Kalimantan, totaling 367 people. Based on the Slovin formula, the number of samples used were 191. The results show that digital business transformation and corporate culture transformation can improve the quality, quantity, and reliability of shipping company performance with job satisfaction as a mediating factor. The results of the research on the performance of shipping companies that are influenced by digital business transformation and corporate culture transformation can broaden and deepen the development of the digital government readiness assessment theory of change applied in both developing and developed countries as a measuring tool for the economy of countries and companies. Oberved trend of precipitation extreme in Kalimantan

<p style="line-height:200%;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align:justify;text-justify:inter-ideograph;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman";" lang="IN">It has been suggested that the global warming due to an increase in green house gas concentrations could lead to extreme climate events, such as </span><span style="color:#007BB8;font-family:"Times New Roman";" lang="IN">precipitation extreme and droughts</span><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman";" lang="IN">. This study is designed to analyze trend in the long-term time series of preciptation extreme in Kalimantan, focusing on observed data obtained from eight meteorological stations spanning from January 1985 to December 2022. </span><span style="background-color:white;color:#0D0D0D;font-family:"Times New Roman";" lang="EN-ID">Statistical analyses were employed to discern patterns and trends in extreme precipitation events. The findings reveal a discernible long-term trend characterized by fluctuations in precipitation extremes over the study period. The trend of total annual precipitation (PRCPTOT) has increased at all observation stations. Especially at SM. Nangapinoh and Supadio, the PRCPTOT trend increased significantly at the 99% and 90% levels. Meanwhile, the increase in consecutive wet days (CWD) trends only occurred at SM. Nangapinoh and Rahadi Oesman (West Kalimantan), and SM. Iskandar (South Kalimantan). A significant trend was found in SM. Nangapinoh (90%) and Iskandar (95%). In addition to experiencing an increase in the R20mm trend, there was a decrease in the trend. Significant trend increases at the 99% and 90% levels occurred in SM. Nangapinoh and Supadio.  In addition, an increase in CDD trend occurred only in SM. Rahadi Oesman and Tjilik Riwut, although not significant. Meanwhile, the majority of extreme precipitation indices have a greater correlation with ENSO than the IOD. </span></p>

Disaster Communication in Forest and Land Fire Management in South Kalimantan

The recurrence of forest and land fires in the South Kalimantan region can be attributed to the insufficient implementation of disaster risk communication. Hence, it is imperative for this study to address the topic of disaster risk communication as a means of mitigating forest and land fires in the region of South Kalimantan. This study addresses the scientific subject of why the southern Kalimantan provincial government is still struggling to coordinate the resolve of forest and land fires, despite the implementation of forest and land fire disaster control measures. The research methodology employed in this study utilizes a qualitative approach, namely of a descriptive nature. The data collection approaches employed in this study include interviews, documentation analysis, and literature review. This study aims to elucidate the dearth of educational information pertaining to the prevention and mitigation of forest and land fires within communities. The presence of suitable information and education boards is lacking. Despite the government's extensive endeavors in forest and land fire disaster management in the South Kalimantan region, the absence of an early preventive system pertaining to such calamities remains evident. The proper implementation of educational initiatives pertaining to disaster prevention and early detection has not been effectively carried out. The current state of optimizing information pertaining to public education within the realm of catastrophes remains constrained by the limited involvement of the government in actively engaging with other relevant parties, particularly the media.

Integrated Magnetic and Geochemical Assessment of the Soil from the Steam Power Plant Area of South Kalimantan Province

Abstract The magnetic proxy approach has proven to be efficient in the assessment of pollution by potentially toxic elements when targeting soils or areas with a homogeneous background where anthropogenic magnetic signals can be easily distinguished. It’s crucial to conduct research on the impact of fly ash on the vicinity of the PLTU in this particular area, as it’s a previously unexplored area. The unique thing about this research is that this PLTU uses coal containing Fe, Pb, and Mg as fuel and has a fairly high susceptibility value for fly ash and bottom ash. This study is due to an analysis of the magnetic susceptibility and heavy metal content in the soil of the area around the Asam-Asam steam power plant (PLTU) of South Kalimantan Province, where geogenic input and fly ash can influence it. Heavy metals that have passed the threshold at all locations are Ti, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, V, and Al. Most of the correlation coefficients are strong and significant between magnetic susceptibility values and heavy metal concentrations at each location. The correspondence between magnetic susceptibility values and heavy metal content reflects the potential of magnetic proxy methods at polluted spots, provided that the lithological conditions are carefully considered.

Perspektif Jean Piaget pada Proses Pewarisan Reog Obyog: Studi Kasus pada Masyarakat Transmigran Kota Banjarbaru Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan

This research aims to examine the process of inheritance in the Reog Obyog art in the Singo Budoyo community in Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan. This inheritance process uses the theory put forward by Jean Piaget because it is considered appropriate to the conditions that occur in the field. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis carried out was by collecting data in the field then carrying out the coding and data reduction process and drawing conclusions. The results of the entire series of research that have been carried out have obtained answers to the research problem, namely the process of inheritance of the Reog Obyog art, there are four stages of development, namely sensorimotor, pre-personal, concrete operational, and formal operational which occur as a series of forms of cognitive development processes in children as inheritors of this art in society. transmigrants in Banjarbaru City. According to the results that have been found, this research concludes that in the dance context, children assimilate new movements by incorporating them into movement schemes that they already know. This is because the environment in which they live is not far from what they study.

Testing the Inhibitory Activity of Bajakah Tampala (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk) Wood Extract from South Kalimantan on the Growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa Bacteria

Background: Dental root canal treatment aims to eliminate microorganisms that cause infection in the tooth root canal, one of which is Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. Disinfection of dental root canals with 0.5% - 5.25% NaOCl irrigation solution is still constrained so it is necessary to look for alternatives. The bajakah tampala plant (Spatholubus littoralis Hassk) is known to contain antibacterial compounds, namely flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and polyphenols. Objective: To evaluate the inhibitory activity of bajakah tampala wood extract (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk) from South Kalimantan against the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. Method: Post test-only with control group design. The test groups were 100%, 75%, 50% bajakah tampala wood extract solution and positive control 2.5% NaOCL solution. Extraction using maceration method. Bacterial growth inhibition was tested by well diffusion method. Inhibition zone was measured using a caliper. Results: The growth inhibition from the largest to the smallest was shown by 75%, 100% and 50% bajakah wood extracts with mean inhibition zone diameters of 5.05 mm, 3.84 mm and 2.02 mm respectively, meanwhile the positive control was 16.14 mm. One Way Anova test showed significant difference in inhibition (p<0.05) in all groups. Post hoc test showed no significant difference in the inhibition of 75% bajakah tampala wood extract with 100% extract. The inhibition of 100% and 75% extracts was significantly greater than 50% extract. The inhibition of NaOCL 2.5% was significantly greater than all groups of test extracts. Conclusion: Bajakah tampala wood extract has inhibitory activity against the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria.

Evaluasi Sistem Evakuasi Kebakaran pada Kantor Wilayah Direktorat Jenderal Bea Cukai Kalimantan Bagian Selatan

Banjarmasin is one of Indonesia’s ten provinces that are historically prone to fire. To prevent many life losses due to building fire, a building must comply with existing standards and regulations. Therefore, the fire evacuation system was evaluated at the South Kalimantan Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs. In this research, the method used is descriptive with an evaluative analysis approach where the building data will be compared to related standards and regulations. From this research, it is proven that several fire evacuation system facilities in the building still do not comply with the existing standards and regulations, such as the number of emergency stairs, emergency exits, and the height of handrails on the stairs.

Factors affecting household evacuation decision making in response to disaster: Case study from the 2021 South Kalimantan floods, Indonesia

Understanding the factors that influence evacuation decisions is crucial for optimizing resource allocation and formulating an effective emergency plan, particularly in the communication and implementation of warnings. To assist with this endeavour, this study investigates whether selected variables affected evacuation decision-making during the 2021 South Kalimantan, Indonesia, Floods. This is achieved through identifying significant factors in a binomial regression model constructed using a resident survey during the extreme floods of January 2021 and the more typical frequent floods of December 2021. The survey captures sociodemographic, capacity-related, hazard-related and warning-related factors from 375 residents including 205 in West Banjarmasin (urban area) and 170 in Tabuk River (rural area). It was found that families with partial ownership of their house (renting or living with another family) and those with a higher number of members are less likely to evacuate, as are those with a lack of knowledge about evacuation shelters and routes. External factors influencing people's evacuation decisions included the flood height and duration as well as whether there was an unofficial warning to evacuate. The findings suggest the following actions could assist with encouraging safety-seeking behaviour through evacuation: ensure evacuation instructions reach larger families and households and that they are relevant for them; include evacuation instructions with warnings; and conduct regular evacuation drills that include information about the flood risk map and the location and route to relevant evacuation shelters.

Pengaruh Religiusitas terhadap Minat Menjadi Nasabah pada Bank Indonesia Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan dengan Syariah Financial Literacy Dan Financial Behavior Sebagai Variabel Mediasi (Studi Kasus pada Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP Tapin)

Religiosity can be a factor that influences a person's interest in becoming a customer in a sharia banking company, including Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). South Kalimantan Province is one of the regions that has the highest religiosity with a Muslim population of 96.7%. Likewise, sharia financial literacy will be one of the determining factors for this interest. Data also shows that the level of sharia financial literacy in South Kalimantan Province always increases every year. Then the financial behavior factor or financial behavior will also increase this interest. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of religiosity on interest in becoming a customer at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) South Kalimantan Province with sharia financial literacy and financial behavior as mediating variables. This research is quantitative in type. The population is BSI KCP Tapin (South Kalimantan) customers with a sample of 190 people. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method, the data collection technique uses a questionnaire and is processed using SmartPLS and analyzed using partial least squares (PLS) analysis. The results of this research found that partially, religiosity, sharia financial literacy and financial behavior had a direct influence on interest in becoming a BSI KCP Tapin customer with a positive and significant value. Religiosity has a direct effect on sharia financial literacy and religiosity has an indirect effect on interest through sharia financial literacy as a positive and significant mediating variable. Sharia financial literacy has a direct effect on financial behavior and sharia financial literacy has an indirect effect on interest through financial behavior as a mediating variable.

Genetic Diversity and Relationship of Native Phalaenopsis Orchids: A Case Study of Indonesian Archipelago

The native Phalaenopsis is valuable germplasm for future orchid breeding programs and for its conservation because it provides many beneficial traits or genes. This study aimed to determine and analyze the molecular diversity and phylogeny of Indonesian native Phalaenopsis by a DNA barcoding (matK) marker. A total of 19 samples of Phalaenopsis orchids were used in this study. All leaf samples of orchid were extracted and purified using a commercial DNA isolation kit from Geneaid Biotech Ltd., Taiwan (GP100). The DNAs were then amplified by specific matK primers: Forward (5’-CGTACAGTACTTTTGTGTTTACGAG-3’) and Reverse (5’-ACCCAGTCCATCTGGAAATCTTGGTTC-3’). The DNA targets or products (matK) were purified and sequenced by the Sanger-bidirectional method at 1st Base Ltd., Malaysia. Before further analysis, the matK sequences of Phalaenopsis were edited, reconstructed, and aligned with the assistance of Clustal W in the MEGA 11 software. Its genetic diversity was determined using the nucleotide diversity index (π%), and the phylogenetic analysis was performed using the maximum likelihood (ML) method with a statistical bootstrap. The phylogenetic relationship was also assessed using principal component analysis (PCA). Based on this marker, the native Phalaenopsis has a high genetic diversity (π% = 1.70). In addition, the phylogenetic analysis revealed that this germplasm was separated into seven clades, where P. pantherina has the closest relation to P. cornu-cervi and P. gigantea. Conversely, the highest genetic distance was to P. amabilis from South Kalimantan and to P. celebensis from Sulawesi, at a coefficient divergence of 0.084. Our findings provide an essential foundation for supporting future orchid breeding practices, including conservation, on local and global scales.

Analyze Consumer Purchase Decisions Purebred Chicken Meat in Banjarbaru City: Factor Analysis Approach

Purebred chicken meat is the most consumed meat by the public among other types of protein. Purebred chicken meat is very easy to find on the market. In addition to the affordable price, purebred chicken meat is easy to process for various dishes used at home. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of purebred chicken meat consumers in Banjarbaru City and analyze the factors that affect the decision to purchase purebred chicken meat in Banjarbaru City. The research uses primary and secondary data. Primary data is taken from consumers who buy purebred chicken meat in the market. Secondary data was taken from the Central Statistics Agency of South Kalimantan Province and the South Kalimantan Plantation and Livestock Office. Factor analysis was used to see the correlation between variables; namely, as many as 28 variables were used to see the correlation. The results of the study show that most consumers are women (85.93%), with housewives as the most buyers (30%) in the age range of 21–30 years, the last education is high school/equivalent (50%), with the highest expenditure of <Rp 2,000,000 (50%). The frequency of chicken meat purchases on weekdays and holidays occurred 2–4 times (68.33%) and (50.83%). The decision to buy purebred chicken meat in the city of Banjarbaru is influenced by four factors, namely quality of service with an eigenvalue of 10.190 (36.39%), location factors with eigenvalues of 4.872 (17.40%), meat quality factors of 2.627 (9.38%) and price factors with eigenvalues of 1.854 (6.62%), which are combined (cumulative eigenvalues) to 69.79% explained about these four factors while 30.21% explained by factors outside the service (quality of service), location, meat quality and price.
