The Role of Human Resource Management in Conducting CSR at an IT Company in Indonesia

This study delves into the role of Human Resource (HR) department in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives at PT Sigma Cipta Caraka (hereinafter: Telkomsigma). Through a qualitative analysis, the current practices of human resources concerning the corporate social responsibility programs at the company were scrutinized. The results indicate that the management of these programs predominantly falls under the purview of the Corporate Communications department, with minimal engagement from HR department. To enhance the efficacy of the program initiatives and cultivate a more cohesive approach to CSR within the organization, fostering collaboration between HR and Corporate Communications is imperative. By bridging these departments and aligning their efforts, Telkomsigma can optimize the impact of its CSR endeavors and reinforce its commitment to sustainable and socially responsible practices. This study underscores the significance of interdepartmental cooperation in driving meaningful the CSR outcomes and advancing the company's overarching goals of community engagement and environmental stewardship

The application of Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility has an important role in forming a company that is strong and has high competitiveness. Ethical business is the foundation of good business principles, this includes superior and sustainable business performance through compliance with applicable ethical and legal guidelines. The Corporate Social Responsibility Program is also one of the obligations that must be carried out by companies in accordance with the contents of Article 74 Paragraph 1 of Law Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies. This is because, in building a business it must also provide benefits that can be felt by the business environment and society.

Governance of The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of Karang Mukti Village in The Development of Embung Batu Beureum Tourism

This reseach aims to analyze the governance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs implemented in Karang Mukti Village in the context of Embung Batu Beureum tourism development. Embung Batu Beureum Tourism is one of the important assets of the village in increasing community income, as well as preserving nature and local culture. CSR has a crucial role in supporting the success of this tourism development program. The methodology of this research uses a qualitative approach, with data collection through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis related to CSR that has been carried out in Karang Mukti Village. The results showed that the governance of CSR programs in Karang Mukti Village has played an important role in supporting the development of Embung Batu Beureum tourism. Karang Mukti Village routinely monitors and evaluates CSR programs that have been implemented. This allows continuous improvement and adjustment of the program according to the needs of the community and tourism developments.

The Impact of Cement Industry Activity on The Environmental Quality of Settlements in Tipar Kidul Village, Ajibarang, Banyumas

The quality of settlement environments surrounding industries is crucial as it reflects the living conditions affected by industrial activities. A study conducted in Tipar Kidul Village aimed to determine the impact of cement industry activities on the settlement environment. The method of this research uses survey within a multistage random sampling survey. The data collection uses interview. The data analysis is simple linear regression with the accuracy testing including validity, reliability, normality, and linearity tests. The research showed that a majority (62%) of the settlement environments conducted in medium-quality conditions. The researched showed industries play a significant role in taking negative impacts on settlements. Industries tend to make settlements uncomfortable to live in due to various activities. Moreover, a significant correlation was observed, indicating a significant influence with a very strong strength that 76.1% between the quality of settlement environments in Tipar Kidul Village and the activities of the cement industry. The cement industry activities impacted to settlement by affecting air pollution, noise from trucks, and machines. Corporate social responsibility program in Tipar Kidul Village included two program, funding program that gave 50.000 rupiah/person and in 2017 cement industry company helped Tipar Kidul Village to reconstruct along Tipar Kidul Village.

Analisis Distribusi Dana Bantuan Perum Perumnas dalam Mendukung Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (TPB)

Organizations and companies as integral elements in society are faced with the responsibility to understand and manage the impact of their operations on the environment, social and economy. The company program, especially BUMN, including Perum Perumnas, which supports the TPB, is the Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL). This research aims to analyze the role of Perum Perumnas in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB). This research method is data analysis research or company reports, especially the Perum Perumnas sustainability report for 2021-2022. The results of this research are that Perum Perumnas in 2021-2022 contributed to 10 of the 17 TPB. The order of cumulative TPB aid funds for 2021-2022, from largest to smallest, is TPB 16 (Peace, Justice and Resilient Institutions), TPB 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), TPB 6 (Clean Water and Decent Sanitation), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 2 (No Hunger), SDG 7 (Clean and Affordable Energy), SDG 14 (Protecting Marine Ecosystems), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and TPB 10 (Reducing Inequality). The trend in the distribution pattern of Perum Perumnas TPB assistance areas in 2021-2022 follows the project locations handled by Perum Perumnas with the distribution of Perum Perumnas TPB assistance areas still focused on Java Island.

Corporate Social Responsibility in Mining Companies: Regulation and Business Role in Indonesia

This study aims to examine the role of mining business actors concerning community development in Indonesia from a regulatory perspective related to corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. This research used qualitative methodologies using interviews and literature reviews were used. Mining companies share the common objective of profitability with other business sectors. However, CSR program within companies mandates that mining companies play a developmental role as community agents in the vicinity of their operations. In Indonesia, the national ideology of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, serves as the highest legal document, which firmly establishes that mining resources are under the control of the state. These resources are used to achieve social justice for all Indonesians through equitable development carried out by companies. This study explores CSR programs in the Indonesian mining sector by conducting a special role regulated by the ideology and constitution of the nation.

Peran Public Relations Pada Isu PLTU Suralaya

Air pollution cases are increasing in the Banten region allegedly due to air pollution by PT PLN (PLTU) which comes from the combustion process of one of its plants, thus emitting emissions or remnants of processing results from its chimney. The cause of air pollution is caused by the combustion of one of the plants but because of vehicle gas. So that these reasons can affect the image of the PLTU making PLTU Public Relations carry out various strategies in communicating the issue. The purpose of this study is to see how PR steps to build public trust in PLN (PLTU). This research uses qualitative methods with media monitoring from the mass media related to reporting on issues about air pollution caused by the Suralaya PLTU from February 23, 2021 - September 2023. This research states that the role of Public Relations in restoring the company's image in cases of air pollution caused by PLTU is to conduct media monitoring, media visits, make press releases, create programs in collaboration with stakeholders, help the government to reduce air pollution by spraying water at the top of PLN's head office tower, develop Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. As well as developing the "PLN Peduli" program where free education programs and Partnership and Community Development programs at the Carnation Waste Bank.

IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM CSR PT PELINDO REGIONAL III SUB REGIONAL JAWA

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a commitment given by companies or the business world to contribute to sustainable economic development, this focuses on economic, social and environmental. Therefore, one way to reduce the poverty rate is by requiring every company to carry out social responsibility, especially for people who live close to the company's environment. PT Pelabuhan Indonesia Regional III Sub Regional Java is one of the companies that carries out social responsibility as stated in Law no. 40 Article 74 concerning Limited Liability Companies. This article aims to find out how the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional III Sub Regional Java is implemented in the context of community empowerment which will be reviewed through George C. Edward III's four implementation models, namely: Communication, Resources (Resources), Dispositions (Dispositions), and Bureaucratic Structure (Bureaucratic Structure). The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are the implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program with indicators of Communication, Disposition and Bureaucratic Structure which has been running well. Meanwhile, the Resource indicator has gone quite well.

Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility of Trading Business in Southern Philippines

A well-planned and implemented marketing strategy and strong Corporate Social Responsibility programs could give any company a competitive advantage over its competitors. This research examined how the CTC Company in Southern Philippines survived and expanded the business through marketing strategies and social responsibility initiatives to their stakeholders. Secondary data from their website and annual reports were used by the researchers supported by interviews of the selected officers and employees of the company. Through offering quality products, providing outstanding customer service, and constantly innovating for the customer’s needs, the company grew bigger and expanded its business to other locations. The company used internal and external approaches to its CSR. In conclusion, the company was successful in its marketing strategies and able to sustain its Corporate Social Responsibility which led to the expansion of the business in Southern Philippines. Recommendations are: management can continue its product innovations not only to the leading products but also include those products which are less in demand, the corporation may provide job opportunities not only locally but also in international regions, and Corporate Social Responsibility should be strengthened not only in Davao and Cagayan de Oro Branches but also in other branches of CTC Company in Southern regions.

Sustainable Practices, CSR, and Brand Reputation: Influencing Purchase Intentions in Luxury Green Marketing

The purpose of this study is to examine the integration of sustainable practices and corporate social responsibility initiatives within luxury brands, as well as the impact that these initiatives have on consumer behavior with regard to their purchasing intentions. The study identifies a shift in the luxury branding paradigm away from one that historically placed an emphasis on exclusivity and towards one that is more socially responsible and sustainable. As part of the research methodology, a systematic literature review will be conducted in order to evaluate the relationship between sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and brand reputation. By implementing effective social responsibility programs in addition to actual sustainability initiatives, luxury brands are able to engage consumers more effectively and thereby create stronger relationships with them. Consumer purchase decisions are significantly influenced by the reputation of a brand, which is backed up by sustainable and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Research directions are recommended, emphasising the need for more in-depth sector-specific studies and a better understanding of the relationship between sustainability and brand loyalty over the long term.

Age Discrimination in Chinese Internet Workplace

Due to economic reforms, cultural biases, and rapid technological progress, age discrimination has become widespread in China's online business environment. China is making the transition from central planning to market economy, and measures such as "xiagang" have enabled state-owned companies in China to lay off elderly permanent staff and reduce permanent employee numbers. As the internet industry expands, younger workers who are dynamic are being favored over those perceived to be less adaptable such as older individuals. The "age 35 phenomenon" illustrates how prejudice has been deepened by cultural expectations around gender, family responsibilities, and age. This study investigates all of the elements that contribute to age discrimination and termination trends among Chinese internet businesses. This article covers topics like pertinent policies, shifting labor relations, gender roles and age discrimination - among many others. Research findings indicated that eliminating sociocultural prejudices was just as essential to meeting economic and regulatory challenges, both of which are equally essential. Countermeasures on a national, organizational, and individual level include antidiscrimination legislation, corporate social responsibility programs, retraining programmes, networking events, and skill development activities. Policies and practices that promote inclusiveness have the power to mitigate instability and inequality. This study sheds light on the multiple obstacles elder Chinese internet workers encounter while offering solutions.

Examining the integration of women's issues in the corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy of Coal India Limited

This paper examines efforts to integrate women's concerns into Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes and policies in India's coal mining sector. This is achieved by taking into consideration the subsidiaries of the largest coal producing company in the country: Coal India Limited. The study finds that, in relation to the various categories that fall under CSR, expenditure on, as well as the nature and number of projects related to, women's welfare is underwhelming. In light of this, the management of Coal India Limited's subsidiaries are urged to prioritise the launching of CSR projects that address women's needs, and which broadly, focus on gender equality and empowerment.

Challenges and Opportunities of Integrating Social Responsibility and Ethical Practices in Hospitality and Tourism Operations in Ghana

Purpose: The study sought to analyze the challenges and opportunities of integrating social responsibility and ethical practices in hospitality and tourism operations.
 Methodology: The study adopted a desktop methodology. Desk research refers to secondary data or that which can be collected without fieldwork. Desk research is basically involved in collecting data from existing resources hence it is often considered a low cost technique as compared to field research, as the main cost is involved in executive’s time, telephone charges and directories. Thus, the study relied on already published studies, reports and statistics. This secondary data was easily accessed through the online journals and library.
 Findings: Integrating social responsibility and ethical practices in Ghana's hospitality and tourism sector faces challenges like limited awareness, resources, and cultural sensitivities. Despite hurdles, opportunities exist for positive change. Sustainable practices can drive economic development and community engagement, while conservation efforts enhance destination appeal. Collaboration among stakeholders is crucial for overcoming challenges and maximizing benefits.
 Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: Stakeholder theory, Corporate social responsibility (CSR) theory & Triple bottom line theory may be used to anchor future studies in the challenges and opportunities of integrating social responsibility and ethical practices in hospitality and tourism operations. Implement robust social responsibility programs that address the specific needs and concerns of local communities, employees, customers, and other stakeholders. Advocate for the development and implementation of supportive policies and regulations that incentivize and reward social responsibility initiatives in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Social responsibility (CSR) programs are now mandatory for businesses in order to respond to stakeholder and societal calls for action. This study's goal is to find out how consumers view the impact of perception of stakeholders on an organization's decision to implement greenwashing techniques. Our goal is to comprehend and evaluate the diverse impacts that different kinds of deceptive environmental communications have on stakeholders' opinions of corporate responsibility for the environment and greenwashing. Evaluation will also be given to stakeholder reactions to an environmental issue.Different degrees of a greenwashing have a dramatically different impact on the opinions of stakeholders of corporate responsibility for the environment and their reactions.

One company that has implemented corporate social responsibility is PT. PLN (Persero) which is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) which manages all aspects of electricity in Indonesia. PLN is determined to harmonize the development of the three aspects of electricity supply, namely economic, social and environmental. For this reason, PLN developed a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program as a concrete manifestation of corporate responsibility. Effective communication is needed to be able to manage and minimize communication problems that occur internally and externally to the company. The results of this research are that there is effective corporate communication in the implementation of sustainable CSR programs, including internal communication which includes upward, downward and horizontal communication. Also external communication that utilizes media and pays attention to the feedback provided.

Public Service Management in Corporate Social Responsibility PT. Pertamina International Refinery Unit II Sungai Pakning

Environmental matter frequently emerges in every area; this is a concern for all parties, especially as environmental problems are the impact of company activities. As a company responsible for the impact of activities carried out, the company provides public services in the form of a corporate social responsibility program. Good public service management in corporate social responsibility programs certainly has a positive social impact on society and the environment. This has been conducted by PT. Pertamina International Refinery Unit II Sungai Pakning received five best performance awards from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia in a row from 2017. The purpose of this research is to analyze public service management in corporate social responsibility. This research uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. The research results found that there are four stages in public service management in corporate social responsibility, namely planning, implementation, reporting, and accountability. This stage is the basis for implementing corporate social responsibility programs that focus on the fields of education, public health, environment, and infrastructure. It was found that there was an additional general function in the company's CSR public service management, namely accountability.
