Research on the Practice of Ideological and Political Education in Mathematics Courses in Vocational Universities Based on Classroom-Training-Competition Mode

The purpose of this study is to explore how to effectively integrate ideological and political education into the mathematics curriculum by proposing a "combination of classroom teaching, practical training projects, and competition activities". By organically combining classroom teaching, practical training projects, and competition activities, it promotes students' learning of mathematical knowledge while enhancing their sense of social responsibility and professional ethics. Research results show that this model has significantly improved students' mathematics performance, especially in terms of basic knowledge and modelling ability. At the same time, by participating in mathematical modelling competitions and practical training, students have demonstrated strong teamwork spirit and innovation ability, and their professional ethics have been significantly improved. Through questionnaires and interviews, the feedback results show that students attach great importance to the practical value of the curriculum and ideological and political education. Finally, the research suggests that the integration of ideological and political elements into more mathematics courses should be explored in the future, in order to improve the quality of education and cultivate high-quality talents with a sense of social responsibility and professional ethics.

The knowledge and skills needed for forensic social work in Australia: A Delphi study

Summary Forensic social work is the application of social work knowledge, skills, values and ethics within a legal and criminal justice context. Globally, social workers play an integral role in the criminal justice system but in many countries, including Australia, there is limited conception of the competencies needed for this specialist practice. Australia serves as an example of forensic social work regulated through a generalist social work competency framework, where specialist skills and knowledge are not distinctly outlined or assessed. The purpose of this study was to identify the knowledge and skills used by forensic social work practitioners in Australia. This study used a 3-round Delphi method with an expert panel of social workers working in forensic practice across Australia. It consisted of a 1-hour semi-structured individual interview followed by 2 rounds of online surveys. Findings Consensus was obtained for 30 skill and knowledge items for Australian forensic social work. The panel identified these competencies as specialist, meaning requiring further training beyond generalist proficiency. Of these, eight of the skill and knowledge items were seen as essential for graduates entering forensic social work. Applications The findings from this study contribute to an evidence-based model of forensic social work competency. In Australia, they can be used to consider potential gaps between current generalist mechanisms and specialist practice expectations. With further research, these findings can be used to inform professional standards for forensic social work in Australia and potentially internationally.

Reflections on the implications of proposed legal reform in Israel on ethical dilemmas in social work

Social work ethics are outlined in the Union of Social Workers in Israel Code of Ethics. Israel's current Justice Minister has submitted a bill as part of legal reform, which states that even if the Supreme Court rules that a law enacted by the Knesset violates human dignity and liberty, a Knesset majority can still overturn the Supreme Court ruling. Should this legal reform endeavor succeed, social workers may be faced with complex ethical and legal dilemmas. This article provides a number of recommendations that will assist social workers to better prepare themselves to deal with situations in which they are required to act contrary to both applicable legislation and professional ethics.

Men Shall Be Lovers of Self, Money and Pleasure (II Timothy 3:2, 4): A Contemporary Discourse on the Apostle Paul's Prophecy of the End Times

<p><em>The present time in Nigeria and globally has been more perilous than ever, characterized with bizarre occurrences within the church and the larger society. This study explores the Pauline eschatological prediction of the perilous times when men will become lovers of self, lovers of money, and lovers of pleasure more than God (II Timothy 3:1, 2 & 5). Experiential and theological methodologies were adopted for generating qualitative primary and secondary data. The theological aspect of the research employed the tools of biblical exegesis, textual analysis, and literatures. The experiential aspect involved in-depth interviews (IDIs), observations, social media contents and Focused Group Discussions (FGDs) to access current events and personalized experiences of respondents who were purposively selected from within and outside the church. The results were discussed in the light of Christian theology, social ethics and Pastoral ministry. The Nigerian society is evidently witnessing the perilous times when love of self, money and pleasure will become the untoward defining features of human society and sadly too, of men that profess the faith. Transactional gospel, gimmickry, merchandize of holy things, and self-indulgent love of money are rife in the contemporary church. Ostentatious lifestyles, lack of support for the minister at the local church, and false messages on material blessings are what trap church ministers and laypersons in this end-time evil. The context and practice of ‘full time’ ministry when the local assembly is not able to support its minister is a challenge that predisposes some to ‘Simoniacal’ presentations, offering the gifts of God for monetary gain. Sound biblical teachings to protect the people of God and expose the mercenary spirit in sacred function is the local church most potent weaponry.</em></p><strong> </strong>

Legitimate self-affirmation of a person in society

It was found that a number of objective and subjective factors influence the choice of value guidelines and the formation of individual legal value attitudes. The formation of a legal vector of human behavior in the modern legal space requires the development of personal qualities of a person through legal education, the development of value-based legal orientations, legal culture, and legal awareness. It is emphasized that a person’s legal awareness, as a set of ideas and perceptions of a person about positive law, must be formed on the principle of interconnection and complementarity of natural and positive law. In a legal state and a democratic society, a person should feel this interaction in the dominance of universal values and principles originating from the norms of natural law, as well as anthropocentrism in the norms of positive law. The formation of the legal culture of an individual through awareness of the purpose of law, its content, and basic ideas is a guarantee of respect for law and human rights and contributes to the formation of a valuable legal worldview and understanding of the principles of functioning of a civilized society. It is noted that today the state must take care that citizens have the proper level of legal culture and legal awareness, and also, it is important that this process is not ideological, but on the contrary, that a person feels that no one imposes any social models on him and ideals, except that legitimate self-assertion is encouraged. Attention is focused on the fact that the legitimate self-assertion of a person in society is the basis of his harmonious existence in the natural-legal field of the state within the natural­legal space and continues throughout life on the basis of learning the norms of social morality, universal ideals, awareness of the value and purpose of law and unconditionality in observance of basic human rights. The formation of a legitimate vector of individual development involves the interaction of the main social institutions for the development of legal culture, legal awareness and legitimate social attitudes, which will contribute to reducing the manifestations of illegal human behavior.

Malaria in the Republic of Ireland; a retrospective review of the clinical epidemiology of malaria between 2016 and 2020

ObjectivesMalaria is a parasitic infection that continues to present significant morbidity and mortality figures throughout the world. In the Republic of Ireland (Ireland), malaria is an imported infection linked most frequently to travel routes from West-Africa. There is a paucity of data on the clinical epidemiology and hospital service utilisation of malaria in non-endemic setting to inform physician practice. This study aims to fill that gap, providing a clinical context to the national picture of both adult and paediatric cases. MethodsA retrospective review of data from all public Irish hospitals was performed from 2016 to 2020, inclusive. Ethical approval was granted following review by the Social Research Ethics Committee (SREC) of University College Cork. Results and ConclusionsDuring the study period, there were 337 cases of malaria presenting to Irish hospitals, 15.1% (51/337) in the paediatric age category. Presentations occurred nationwide with a predictable seasonality. The majority (77.45%; 261/337) were Plasmodium falciparum and 6% (20/337) required critical care admission. Interestingly, females had a higher likelihood of admission to critical care (OR 2.75, 95% CI 1.1 – 6.86). The COVID-19 pandemic saw a 78% reduction in malaria presentations in 2020. A total of 1,166 bed days were utilised by cases of malaria.

Analisis Semantik Konsep Rezeki dalam Tafsir Al-Misbah dan Implikasinya dalam Konteks Kognitif dan Etis

This study examines Quraish Shihab’s interpretation of the concept of rizq in Tafsir al-Misbah through the lens of Jean Piaget’s cognitive development theory and Lev Vygotsky’s socio-cognitive theory. The academic problem addressed is how the concept of rizq, involving effort, prayer, and social interaction, can be understood from the perspective of cognitive development and social ethics. The study aims to fill the gap in tafsir analysis by incorporating psychological approaches, particularly in understanding how theological thoughts on rizq influence cognitive development and the formation of individual ethics. The research method used is textual analysis of Tafsir al-Misbah with theoretical approaches from Piaget and Vygotsky, exploring both cognitive and ethical aspects in the process of acquiring rizq. The novelty of this research lies in applying psychological developmental theories to tafsir analysis, a rarely undertaken approach in Quranic exegesis studies. The results indicate that Quraish Shihab's interpretation of rizq encompasses cognitive aspects that encourage logical and abstract thinking about effort and prayer, as well as ethical aspects that emphasize social responsibility and integrity in the pursuit of sustenance. This tafsir promotes the development of a proactive mindset and a strong ethical awareness through social interaction within the community.

The Concept of the Role of Parents in the Application of Morality to Children (Study of Surah Luqman Verses 12-19 in Tafsir Al-Misbah)

Education is a process that humanizes humans. This concept shows that without strong morality, education will not be achieved. This article aims to analyze Surah Luqman verses 12-19, which contain important themes in moral education for children. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, relying on the interpretation text "al-Misbah" by M. Quraish Shihab as a data source. which helps in identifying important and relevant themes. The results of this study indicate that the concept of moral education in Surah Luqman includes monotheism, obedience to parents, and an invitation to do good and prevent bad deeds. This study also found three main points in moral education, namely: spiritual morals, individual morals, and social morals. This study contributes to a more contextual interpretation of children's education, which will face social realities in their future lives. The concept of amar ma'ruf is education that is oriented towards harmony, while nahi munkar is an educational effort to avoid communal conflict.

This paper explores the integrated application of artificial intelligence (AI) in smart IoT and electrical automation. It discusses the background and significance of the integration, provides a detailed analysis of the application of AI algorithms in intelligent control and optimization, and examines their role in fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance. The paper also dissects the technological innovation, industrial development, and social development opportunities brought by the integration, while highlighting the challenges of data quality and security, algorithm complexity, talent shortage, and social ethics. Finally, it concludes that we should actively address these challenges to fully leverage the advantages of integration to promote development in various fields.

The Influence of Brazilian Culture on Organizational Structure, Employee Motivation and Recruitment and Selection Practices, While Considering German Practices, is Significant

Organizational behavior (OB) focuses on studying the behavior of people within organizations. It aims to understand, predict, and influence human behavior an structure to enhance organizational performance. Globalization refers operating and competing in the global economy while upholding social responsibilities and business ethics. There is a prediction by French that the global shortage of workers may decrease in the future. Additionally, adopting cross-cultural approach in OB helps in recognizing variations in workplace attitudes and behavior among individuals and groups (Christy, 11th edition, 2016). Geert Hofstede identified four cultural dimensions: power distance, uncertainty avoidance, individualism, and masculinity, Additionally, Fon Trompenaars, Charles Hampden- Turner identified seven areas in which cultural differences affect aspects of organizational behavior. These areas include relationships and roles, individual oriented societies, the display of emotions in public, the significance of building relationships in diffuse cultures, and the value of achievements within societies, the shift from collectivism towards individualism in Brazil validates Hofstede’s assumption about cultural change due to global economic growth. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL ATTITUDE AND ETHICS OF ASSOCIATION WITH THE MORALS OF PHYSICS EDUCATION STUDENTS

This study aims to describe how social attitudes, ethics of socializing, and noble morals, and whether there is a significant relationship between social attitudes and ethics of socializing with noble morals of physics education students. This study is a quantitative descriptive study. The sample of this study was 88 physics education students. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive statistics and inferential statistics for hypothesis testing. Based on the results of the study and descriptive analysis, the average score of social attitudes was 60.23 and the average score of social ethics was 65.26, each score was in the sufficient category, where seen from the most dominant assessment indicators, attitudes can be learned, and attitudes can change with an average value of 289.25, for social ethics, the most dominant assessment indicator was understanding and applying ethics with an average value of 297.75, and the average score of morals of physics education students was 65.67 which was also in the sufficient category, where seen from the most dominant assessment indicators, it was education with an average value of 317. The results of the inferential analysis showed that the Fcount value was 2624.45 while the Ftable at a significance level of 5% was 3.13. Thus, the Fcount value is much greater than the Ftable value, meaning that there is a significant relationship between social attitudes and social ethics with the morals of physics education students.

Ethical dilemmas of translanguaging pedagogy in L2 and basic literacy education for adults: social justice and ethics of care

ABSTRACT This paper explores the ethical challenges and possibilities of conducting responsible and transformative translanguaging pedagogy in adult education for second language learners with limited previous experience of schooling. We identify and explore ethical dilemmas in teachers’ interaction and multilingual teaching practices. The data was produced in a linguistic ethnography and action research project. It consists of classroom observations and interviews with teachers who teach in the programme Swedish for Immigrants (SFI). The teachers express and embody ambivalence in relation to the students’ use of their whole linguistic repertoires and the students are not always treated as competent to make informed decisions about their own use of linguistic repertoires. This touches on issues of citizenship and democracy and here the framework ethics of care offers context-specific ways of understanding and responding to the ethical challenges of multilingual teaching.

The moral crisis that is currently hitting the millennium era has raised deep concerns about the moral values of today's society. The ethical crisis in the millennial era is becoming an increasingly deep and complex problem. Various factors, such as the influence of globalization, technological progress, and social change, have shaped the context of individual behavior and weakened basic moral values. In this context, this review examines the importance of citizenship education as the main solution for forming individual character and social ethics in the millennium era. This study discusses the concept of citizenship education, the role of educational institutions and the challenges faced in realizing civic values in education. The research results highlight the importance of citizenship education in overcoming the current moral crisis and emphasize the need for cooperation between government, educational institutions and society to achieve this goal.

Mission in polarized public social media interaction: Speaking out against injustice, standing up for truth, or loving your neighbor?

This study examines polarized US-based public social media interaction in which at least some participants support positions on public policy, politics, or social ethics using scripture, theological reasoning, spiritual authority, or ethical reasoning within a broadly Christian framework. Specifically, it considers social media interaction among commenters on public posts, in which some of the participants manifest a mission of speaking out against injustice, standing up for truth, and/or loving their online neighbors. It finds that speaking out against injustice often includes an argument about the nature of truth, but that standing up for truth can be done on its own. It also finds no incidences of loving one’s neighbor in ways that the neighbor would recognize as love, in interactions studied to date. It concludes that humility and charity are called for, because of disagreements about both justice and truth. Note that this article and the uploaded research data include social media interactions that are homophobic and transphobic, as well as interactions that may hurt or offend conservative believers.

The article describes the interpersonal relationships of various states of society of the «post-Shakespearean» era in the artistic work of the outstanding English playwright and actor Benjamin Johnson. Relying on sources and scientific literature, the author of the article tries to recreate the layer of everyday life in London at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, to reveal the problem of the «survival» of actors in the first stationary theater «Globus», their attempts to communicate with aristocrats, the attitude towards famous actors and directors in the English late Middle Ages society The central problem of the research is also the relationship between V. Shaksrip and A. Ferabosko, whose acting troupes shared the «stage» of the «Globus» theater. All these questions are most vividly revealed in Benjamin Johnson’s tragedy «Thrice Crossing the Thames», which was published after his death at the author’s request. The image of English society revealed through the thoughts and worldview of his contemporary is simply amazing. In the author’s opinion, it is also valuable that Benjamin Johnson personally knew V. Shakespeare and A. Ferabosko, the unforgettable young actress Catherine Loster. Research methodology. The content-comparative method, the method of modification of concepts and terms, generalizing and problem-searching methods to reproduce the realities of the era were used to write the article. Conclusion. we see that the place of man and the concept of «humanity» in the English dramaturgy of the «post-Shakespearean» era have changed significantly. In English art, more and more realistic «notes» are felt. Instead of “elevated” and “low” on the pages of books, «street life», «urban slums», relations between new states of society, new social morality come to the English stage. In order to fully feel the depth of these changes, it is worth discovering the realistic human images reproduced by contemporaries of the «post-Neckspearian» era, understanding the criteria of their morality and humanity from the point of view of the author of the dramatic work, who wrote at the crossroads of two great eras.

An Exploration of Ideological and Political Education in College English Courses

The integration of IPE in college English courses holds substantial theoretical and practical importance, particularly in the context of the new era, and it actively promotes higher education teaching reform. This comprehensive approach ensures that students not only gain linguistic skills but also develop a strong ethical foundation and a sense of social responsibility, thereby aligning with the broader educational objectives of fostering well-rounded individuals.

Threats to Saminism Values in the Digitalization Era

This study examines the impact of digitalization on the values of Saminism in the Sikep community of Blora. Saminism, a traditional belief system originating from Java, emphasizes simplicity, non-violence, and harmonious living with nature. However, the digitalization era poses significant challenges to preserving these values. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observations to understand the socio-cultural context in which Samin teachings are practiced. The findings indicate that digitalization has led to a shift in values among Sikep youth, who are increasingly exposed to pop culture and digital technology. This shift has resulted in a decreased understanding and practice of Saminism, as well as a decline in social ethics aligned with its teachings. To address these challenges, the Sikep community must reinforce Saminism teachings and filter foreign cultural influences to align with Sikep values, norms, and traditions. By leveraging digital platforms to promote Saminism teachings, the community can adapt to modern advancements while maintaining their cultural heritage. In conclusion, integrating Saminism principles with modern technology can create a sustainable balance between tradition and progress, ensuring the continued relevance and vitality of Saminism in the digital age.
