Kepastian Hukum Penetapan Sertifikasi Halal di Indonesia Ditinjau Dari Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2023 Tentang Cipta Kerja

This research discusses legal certainty in the determination of halal certification in Indonesia in the Job Creation Law. Definition of Halal Certification, Halal certification is a process to obtain a halal certificate by going through several stages of examination to prove that the raw materials, production process, and product halal assurance system at a company are in accordance with established standards. In Law No.6 of 2023 concerning Job Creation also facilitates halal certification with the issuance of self declare, self declare itself is a statement of the halal status of micro and small business products by the business actors themselves. This research uses normative juridical research methods. In this context, the Job Creation Law introduces significant changes in the regulation of Halal Product Guarantee, including cutting the time for the halal certification process and introducing a self-declare mechanism for micro businesses. These changes are expected to accelerate the growth of the halal food industry in Indonesia and improve the competitiveness of halal products in the global market. As such, this research provides an in-depth understanding of the legal framework governing the establishment of halal certification in Indonesia and how it interacts with the legal changes brought about by the Job Creation Law. This research also identifies the importance of maintaining a balance between bureaucratic simplification and the sustainability of the implementation of Halal Product Guarantee in the context of Indonesian society.

Pentahelix Synergy in Halal Certification of Micro and Small Business Products at the Purwosari MSME Center (SEKAR)

This research aims to determine and analyze Pentahelix's synergy in implementing halal product certification for Micro, Small Enterprises (UMK) at the Purwosari UMKM Center (SEKAR). The increasingly urgent need for halal products in the global market makes halal certification an important aspect for the competitiveness of MSEs. Through a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, this research will investigate the interactions and roles of each Pentahelix pillar—government, micro and small industry players, academics, the SME community, and mass media—in supporting the implementation of halal certification for MSE products in the SEKAR community. The results of this research can provide in-depth insight into the contribution of each pillar and develop policy recommendations to strengthen the halal certification ecosystem for MSE products in the Purwosari MSME center. This research contributes to the literature on Pentahelix synergy and the implementation of halal certification at the Micro and Small Business level in Indonesia.

The Effect of Electricity Supply Interruptions on Small Business Productivity in West Sumatra

This research examines the impact of interruptions in electricity supply on the production of small and medium enterprises in West Sumatra from 2014 to 2021. The data used in the research was obtained from the Ministry of Trade and Industry of West Sumatra, including the production variables, employment, investment, and other variables that influence the production activities. A regression equation connecting production factors and production levels is formulated. Furthermore, another regression equation is also formulated by considering the electricity interruption factor, namely the SAIDI index on production levels. The effect of electrical power interruptions is then evaluated by comparing the two equations. The research results show that the most significant production loss occurred in 2019, 16.07 hours/year, while the most negligible loss occurred in 2015, 6.53 hours/year. Trend data collected during the research period regarding loss conditions and interruption parameters shows that electricity disturbances do not have a linear impact on production losses. The research also shows that electric power does not significantly impact the production activities of small and medium enterprises in West Sumatra.

VALIDASI MODEL BISNIS USAHA MIKRO PADA INDUSTRI PERJALANAN WISATA (STUDI KASUS: ARJUNA TRAVEL CORNER DI KABUPATEN GARUT

Indonesia's economic situation after the Covid pandemic is experiencing recovery with a slow increase in sales of small business products. One type of travel business that almost went bankrupt due to the absence of income during the pandemic has also started to carry out its business activities. This increase in activity is in line with government policies that have allowed normal business activities. However, in this post-pandemic situation, many things must be adjusted by business actors in the field of travel because people's travel needs may experience significant changes. This research aims to test innovations that will be carried out in the travel business model. This trial is essential to improve business continuity in the post-pandemic period. This research strategy uses a case study in Arjuna Travel Corner. The qualitative research approach uses data collection techniques with interviews and observations. The results showed that the new business model implemented by Arjuna Travel Corner has been valid, following the wants and needs of consumers. This research can be used as a reference for further research related to this field. Practitioners of this research are expected to be input for decision-making in carrying out business model innovations on related objects.

Analysis of UMKM Product Design Using Digital Marketing for UMKM in Jambenenggang Village (KKM Group 8)

This community service was carried out at one of the UMKM in Jambenenggang village, Kebonpedes sub-district, Sukabumi district. This service is carried out with the aim that the Jambenenggang village UMKM can master digital marketing. Because this can be seen from the many micro and small business products that exist, but it is difficult to compete with other products that are marketed in online buying and selling media. This activity also aims to help UMKM owners in marketing their products. In this era, as an economic actor, you must be able to analyze SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Treatment). In addition to other products that are competitors, especially with products that are sold the same which are definitely competitors, there are also competitors whose strength is certainly greater, namely technology that is already sophisticated in this era of globalization. Nexus between entrepreneurial characteristics and small business productivity in Nigeria

Purpose — The productivity challenge confronting small businesses in developing countries has been identified among others to include entrepreneurs’ characteristics. The objective of the study was to investigate the effects of entrepreneurs’ characteristics on the business productivity of SMEs in Nigeria and anchored on the entrepreneur’s innovativeness, experience, orientation, and risk-taking propensity.Method — It was a cross-sectional study carried out among entrepreneurs of SMEs in Southwest Nigeria using a descriptive research survey design. Respondents were selected using a convenience sampling technique. A sample size of 400 respondents was selected for the study, and descriptive statistics such as frequencies and percentages were adopted for data analysis. The hypotheses formulated were tested using chi-square at 0.05 level of significance.Result — The result of the study revealed that an entrepreneur’s characteristics, such as innovativeness, experiences, orientation, and risk-taking propensity, significantly impact productivity. However, innovativeness and risk-taking were paramount among other entrepreneurial characteristics of SMEs in Nigeria.Contribution — The result validated the works of the earlier scholars in the study area and contributed to expanding literature on how entrepreneurs’ characteristics, especially their innovativeness, experience, orientation, and desire to take risks, can solve small business challenges in developing economies.

Portrait of welfare of mountain communities applying traditional agroforestry model in Ajaobaki Village District of South Central Timor

Mountain communities in Mutis commonly work as farmers, and farm is used as physical capital to provide all life necessities such as food, housing, clothing, and services. Fulfillment of their life necessities depends heavily on income generated from agriculture, farming, forestry, animal husbandry, and other small business products. This research aims to understand the level of welfare of mountain communities applying the traditional agroforestry model in Ajaobaki Village, District of South-Central Timor. The study was conducted from May to July 2021, with the number of respondents being 41 households. The method used in this research was survey methods with descriptive analysis. Community welfare is measured through respondents’ expenditures for one year (2020) to meet the needs of food, housing, and clothing compared to expenditures to meet the needs/consumption of services such as education, health, electronic goods, recreation, and so on. The result of the research showed that the value of consumption of the basic necessities per year to meet comunities’ needs for food was IDR 9,352,902.439 on average, the board was IDR 1,696,341.463 on average, and clothing was IDR 783,902.439 on average. Meanwhile the average expenditure for service consumption per year was IDR 9,916,439.024. Analysis of the level of community welfare through the analysis of the good services ratio (GSR) in Ajaobaki Village showed that the percentage of people who are not prosperous are 56.11%, prosperous 29.26%, and more prosperous 14.63%. The people who are not or less prosperous generally prioritize primary needs such as food, housing, and clothing rather than consumption of service values, while prosperous people are oriented towards the value of consumption of services (services) in the form of education, health, communication, social, and so on.

UPAYA PEMBERDAYAAN USAHA UMKM SEBAGAI SOLUSI PENGENTASAN KEMISKINAN: PRAKTEK PADA CU MITRA PARAHITA, CU TYAS MANUNGGAL DAN CU KRIDHA RAHARDJA

The purpose of this community service program is to increase the productivity of small businesses as an effort to alleviate poverty. The service method used is to provide material exposure, discussion, practice using working papers and group discussions. The results of the service stated that 88% of participants were very satisfied and satisfied with this training and formulated five follow-up plans, namely (1) Building a business network between fellow CU members (2) Conducting market development activities for member products (3) Identifying and managing potential members so that they will idea development, creativity and collaboration will emerge, (4) Provision of information supporting business development and (5) Business planning and financial budgeting assistance.

Implementation of Business Strategy during the Covid-19 Pandemic

This study was conducted to determine the business strategies implemented by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The object of research is the snack food industry with the trademark Waroenk Ngemil which is located on Jalan Sadang, Bandung Regency. The method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Based on the results of the study, data were obtained that the business strategy in marketing their products was through social media. From the results of the research above, it can be described that this strategy can work as expected by taking into account the purchasing power of consumers during this covid-19 pandemic. However, by using social media facilities, the funds needed by small business actors have an impact on reducing business capital. From the description above, it can be concluded that the role of government and banking is very important, especially with regard to training in the use of information technology so that small business products can survive in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Technology-based HR management to optimize MSME product and service marketing

Technology-based human capital management, such as digital applications, is part of efforts to maximize the marketing of small business products and services. It discusses the management of science and technology-based marketing innovations that need to be encouraged. This study discusses the role of human resource management and its advantages in the technology sector to support the development of small business marketing so that people's businesses can continue to be sustainable and support the increase in the country's foreign exchange. This study also analyzes the data on the drivers of MSMEs based on technology innovation that we collect from various scientific reports and technology studies from various application contexts in the field. We collect data electronically from several scientific publications in the form of books and other literature, which we analyze with a phenomenological approach to get valid findings. We propose a technology-laden HR management model for business people, especially the marketing of small business products in Indonesia, transitioning from traditional marketing to innovative strategies that can be continuously supported. The results of this analysis will later assist in studying marketing innovation updates for small business products and services in future HR studies and training.

Penyuluhan Kewirausahaan pada Kelompok PKK dalam Mendorong Pelaku UMK Desa Rambu-Rambu

Rambu-Rambu Village is one of the villages in Laeya District, South Konawe Regency. Rambu-Rambu Village has potential human resources, potential for agricultural and plantation products that can support entrepreneurial development. The problem faced by the community, especially the Family Welfare Empowerment Group (FWE)) is that they do not yet have the knowledge and understanding of entrepreneurship because they have never received entrepreneurship counseling from the government and universities. To overcome this problem, it is important to conduct counseling through the Institute for Research and Community Service (IRCS). The purpose of entrepreneurship counseling is to convey information to the FWE group so that they have knowledge, understanding and increase the participants' insight on how to do entrepreneurship. The method of implementing the extension is through the stages of observation and site survey, coordinating with the village government, preparing the location for the extension event, and providing tools or facilities and infrastructure, then carrying out counseling through lectures and questions and answers. Entrepreneurship counseling was held at the Rambu-Rambu Village Hall with a total of 42 participants. The results of the extension activities showed that the extension materials delivered by the extension team were very useful for the FWE group because it could provide motivation, could increase knowledge and understanding of entrepreneurship and could encourage the FWE group to be more creative and innovative in taking micro and small business opportunities. From the results of the question and answer, it was also revealed that after completing the entrepreneurship counseling activities, it is better to continue the beginner entrepreneur training activities for the practice of making micro and small business products.

Analisis Peran Perempuan dalam Memanfaatkan Potensi Lokal Sebagai Alternatif Usaha di Kampung Tanjung Talok Desa Teluk Sasah Kabupaten Bintan

Research involving women’s Tanjung Talok Village as the object of study aims to analyze the role of women in utilizing the local potential and can be used as business products in Tanjung Talok Village. In Tanjung Talok village, there are five local communities (groups), and each group has one effect of being developed. This study did in Tanjung Talok village from March until July 2021. Furthermore, the research uses qualitative and quantitative methods. Researchers conducted in-depth interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The data obtained were analyzed by a qualitative descriptive approach. The variable in this research is women in Tanjung Talok village who have still productive to develop a small business product. The results showed that the role of Tanjung Talok in utilizing local potential was not maximized. From a total of 104 family data, it was known that women who had businesses based on local potential were 15 women with products such as fish crackers, gamat oil, chips, peanut brittle, chili paste, and other small businesses. The role of Tanjung Talok women is maximized by having a business group with Tanjung Talok’s women to develop small Business or household products. Most women in Tanjung Talok have the skill to process those products. Marketing and packaging are challenging to create those products due to women in Tanjung Talok don’t have much talent or experience on their part. The following research has to focus on analyzing the effectiveness of the management model that will apply in Tanjung Talok village

BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY MODEL IN THE NEW NORMAL ERA THROUGH MICRO AND SMALL BUSINESS DIGITAL PLATFORMS IN RURAL AREAS

The policy of preventing the transmission of Covid-19 through Large-Scale Social Borders and the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities has had an impact on the economy. Many micro and small businesses have stopped operating, workers have been laid off, unemployment has increased, and there has been new poverty. This study aims to implement a business sustainability model that can adapt to new normal conditions supported by digital platform applications in a rural area and obtain a Covid-19 prevention model with a change in business governance orientation approach that can adapt to the new normal era. The research method used is literature study, exploratory survey, experimental research, and applied research. A field survey was conducted to obtain primary data at the village level. An experimental method to test business sustainability models and digital platform applications on micro and small businesses. Digital platform literacy is carried out through online workshops. The unit of analysis is micro and small business actors. The data analyzed are time series. The research site was in Sumedang Regency from September 2020 to July 2021. The results showed that during the Covid-19 pandemic there were micro and small business activities that made changes, although there were also those who laid off their businesses. Adjustments in the form of substitution of raw materials, modification, diversification, making new products, and changing the way of marketing. The digital platform design is made on a web and android based to carry out the function or process of online transactions for micro and small business products in rural areas. It is hoped that MSE entrepreneurs will understand, through complete information, adjusting needs, as well as helping prevent the transmission of Covid-19 and can support business sustainability in the new normal era.

Do Performance Goals and Development, Feedback and Recognition, and a Climate of Trust Improve Employee Engagement in Small Businesses in the United States?

Small businesses are the predominant contributors to the U.S. economy, yet they face many challenges to remain competitive and sustainable. There are several reasons a small business could fail, including a lack of human resources, limited financial resources, competition, technological advancements, disaster, and globalization. Improving employee performance by getting them engaged and productive in their work is an issue that cannot be overlooked for small businesses to function and remain competitive. There is limited empirical evidence that explains the dimensions of performance management and employee engagement in small businesses. However, how small businesses sustain their long-term performance remains uncertain. This study sought to bring together two previously distinct constructs: overall employee engagement and overall performance management, characterized by performance goals and development, a climate of trust, and feedback and recognition. The research was correlational in nature. A survey was conducted to generate and analyze data gathered from 121 employees of small businesses located in the United States. A series of Pearson correlation analyses confirmed the existence of statistically significant positive relationships between employee engagement and each variable of performance management, namely performance goals and development, feedback and recognition, and climate of trust. Notwithstanding these positive correlations, a multiple regression model with the three performance management variables as independent variables and employee engagement as the dependent variable suggested that there was a statistically significant regression model F(3, 117) = 32.34, p < .001, R2 = .453, explaining 45.3% of the variability in employee engagement. Nonetheless, this model confirmed that the variables performance goals and development and climate of trust were not statistically significant in the model (p > .05). In other words, only the feedback and recognition variable was statistically significant in the regression model, suggesting that it explained most of the variability in engagement, including that already explained by the other two variables. Overall, the outcome of this study suggests that small businesses implementing performance management processes have more engaged employees. The conclusions drawn from these findings suggest that overall performance management and overall employee engagement contribute to small business productivity and organizational success.

Small business development and resource use in Russian regions

Relevance. The living standards in any country largely depend on how developed is this country’s business sector. The latter, in its turn, relies on the availability and efficient use of resources. The problem that arises in this respect and that this study seeks to address is how to measure the resource potential available for the development of small businesses in order to choose the optimal strategy of stimulating this sector for this or that region. Research objective. The aim of this research is to study resources available to small businesses and their use in Russian regions. Data and methods. The set of indicators used in our analysis helps us measure the activity of small businesses in Russian federal districts. The key elements of the assessment are based on the official statistics and include the following: average labor productivity of small businesses, the unit turnover per small enterprise, the number of small firms per 10,000 people. Each of these indicators was analyzed by using the methods of mathematical statistics according to the three criteria: stability (S); average values (M); and the variability of the results (V), which characterizes interregional differentiation within a federal district/country. Results. The article proposes a system of indicators for diagnosing small business development based on the concentration and performance of small-sized enterprises. The quantitative results of such analysis can be used for choosing strategies of small business development. Conclusion. There was a significant decline in entrepreneurial activity during the post-crisis period of 2017-2018 in Russia, which could be explained by the impact of foreign sanctions and the difficult economic situation in the country (inflation, a sharp rise in the price of resources, difficulties in communication with international partners, and the difficulty or even impossibility to adopt efficient technologies in a short time). As our analysis has shown, some of the Russian territories still have underutilized resource potential that can be used for stimulating small business development.

Social Media and Its Impact on Small Projects: An Empirical Study in the State of Kuwait

The current study aimed at identifying the impact of social media on the small business in the state of Kuwait. The study population consisted of all workers in small business, and they were (720) workers. A simple random sample consisting of (300) workers was selected and (208) were retrieved. The study was distributed according to demographic variables (gender, educational qualification, experience). The study concluded that there is a statistically significant impact of social media on promoting the products of small business in the State of Kuwait through a simple linear regression test. This result indicates that social media influences the positive and noticeable method of promoting small business products.
