Multipomeron in elastic scattering at asymptotical energies

The Pomeron is a sum of Regge multipoles, each corresponding to a finite number of rungs gluon ladder. From a fit to the proton-proton and antiproton-proton scattering data at high energies the three-pole pomeron term is significant for description of differential and total cross section. The local slope of diffraction cone was calculated for multipole pomeron model. This slope parameter is compared with its values derived from the experiment. Improved πN partial waves, consistent with analyticity and unitarity

Partial wave dispersion relations in a new formulation and fixed-s dispersion relations are used to calculate the long range contributions to the real parts of πN amplitudes. Recent results from a double spectral function calculation are applied for constraining the imaginary parts. We propose to use the new partial waves as starting values in future phase shift analyses and to treat our prediction for the tail of high partial waves as part of the input. — The differences between our new partial waves and the Karlsruhe-Helsinki 80 and CMU-LBL 80 solutions are discussed. Concerning measurable quantities, the new parital waves lead to significant changes in the forward logarithmic slopes of differential cross sections. — Thel-dependence of our partial waves is discussed up to large values ofl. We find a systematic even-l, odd-l splitting at all energies.

Dual unitarization scheme with several trajectories

Consequences of bootstrap with several input Regge trajectories are investigated. We find that in a general (without the duality-diagrams constraints) treatment of bootstrap, consistency requires the intercept of the output Pomeron pole in the one-dimensional case to be larger than one: ${\ensuremath{\alpha}}_{P}(0)>1$, a situation reminiscent of the one in Reggeon field theory. Symmetry breakings of the Pomeron couplings are discussed. These couplings coincide with those of the $f$-dominated Pomeron model of Carlitz, Green, and Zee (CGZ). The case when in the unitarity loops all possible trajectories are exchanged is also considered. Predictions of the dual unitary model for the slopes of differential cross sections for diffractive scattering are made which differ from those of the CGZ model. A comparison with the experimentally available data is performed.
