Pelatihan Teknik Parafrase Karya Ilmiah Pustakawan Perguruan Tinggi Di Pekanbaru

Plagiarism is an issue that gets serious attention in academia. Disclosure of information is one of the causes of plagiarism. There must be an effort to prevent it, one of which is paraphrasing scientific papers. Based on the results of observations of partners, it was found that several problems were experienced by partners. These problems include: a) the habit of copy-pasting that is still carried out by librarians in compiling scientific papers, b) not having complete knowledge about plagiarism and the sanctions incurred. The method used is to provide training to university librarians. The results show that all targets have been well achieved in accordance with the proposed program. The training activities received a positive response from partners and participants. This can be seen from the level of enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the training. From the aspect of understanding and skills of participants, there was an increase in understanding of paraphrasing and skills in using the Sipebi application. it can be seen in the indicators of the results of the pretest and posttest. Meanwhile, the output of this activity is scientific articles published in national journals.

EMPOWERMENT OF KARANG TARUNA THROUGH DIGITALMARKETING TO INCREASE BRANDING OF FISHING POND TOURISM IN PLUMBON VILLAGE, SIDOARJO

Background: Digital tourism marketing is an effort to promote and market an area or tourist attraction using digital media. Sidoarjo regency is one of the regencies in east java that has potential villages to become tourist villages, which is Plumbon Village. However, the potential and natural resources that support it to be developed are less than optimal in terms of tourism branding due to the lack of knowledge about digital marketing so that reach of the tourism is still low. This activity is in accordance with SDGs point 4 and 8 namely Quality Education and Decent Work and economic growth. Objective: The activities of this Village Community Empowerment Program are (1) increasing the knowledge of Karang Taruna Cahaya Muda members regarding digital marketing (2) providing a forum for Karang Taruna Cahaya Muda members to develop village potential through various digital marketing platforms (3) provide various trainings on digital marketing to improve the skills of Karang Taruna members. Methode: This activity uses counseling and training methods regarding digital marketing. The location of the activity is in Plumbon Village, Porong, Sidoarjo. The participants of the activity are members of the young light cadet reef. Evaluation of activities is carried out using the post-test method and focus group discussion to evaluate the results of training. Result: There is an increase in knowledge about digital marketing. Counseling participants managed to obtain an average post-test score of 70.0 from the previous only 20.0. Then, with intensive training in website and social media management, content creation, and design, it succeeded in increasing the skills of participants to 75.0 from previously only 15.0. In addition, an increase also occurred in the number of online visitors (website and social media visitors) and offline visitors. Counseling and training participants including members of Karang Taruna Cahaya Muda are expected to continue to actively manage the digital marketing platform that has been created for branding fishing pond tours. Conclusion: This activity received positive support from the village head and members of the cadet reef who participated in the counseling and training showed high enthusiasm. Through this program, cadet coral members are able to increase their knowledge and skills regarding digital marketing to branding BUMDES PONTRAS in regional and national coverage. Capacity-building for Coastal Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience in the Pacific Islands

Abstract Capacity-building for coastal climate change adaptation in the Pacific Island countries (PICs) is paramount in ensuring resilience building and sustaina-ble management of coastal resources. The Pacific-European Union Marine Partnership (PEUMP) program, through its capacity-building component, works at achieving this by supporting delivery of technical and vocation education and training (TVET) and continuing professional development programs. The PEUMP training programs focus on addressing capacity needs associated with coastal resource management in the PICs, including but not limited to, inadequate economic considerations in coastal fisheries regulations; limited capacity to support community-based coastal resource management; insufficient Pacific-relevant training and qualifications for sustainable coastal resource management through inclusive approaches; and insufficient in-depth understanding of the government’s role in com-munity and ecosystem-based approaches. To address some of these gaps PEUMP delivered TVET programs, micro-qualifications, non-formal training, and professional short courses across 15 PICs. Post-training impact assess-ments found the PEUMP training programs to have improved the knowledge and skills of participants, with more than 70 percent of the par-ticipants gaining new skills and/or knowledge, which they attempted to pass on to their colleagues. A number of lessons learned were identified through the PEUMP training programs, such as the pros and cons of deliv-ering training through virtual means within the Pacific context. The article wraps up with a set of recommendations as a way forward for capaci-ty-building in the Pacific Island region through further inclusive training, localization, and community-based approaches.

Elements that associate with participants’ psychological discomfort during simplified fire drills

Fire drills may reinforce the survival skills of participants on the one hand, and on the other hand, they might bring a certain amount of psychological discomfort. To identify elements associated with the psychological discomfort, a designed questionnaire was distributed to postgraduate students who had experienced fire drills in Islington (London) and 1640 valid responses were obtained. With the help of regression analysis, this research found that participants' awareness of precaution, individual initiative of participation, the personal judgement of simplified fire drills (SFDs), participation of SFDs, evaluation of SFDs' function in practical applications, and satisfaction with SFDs' performance are positively associated with participants' psychological discomfort, while the procedural arrangement of SFDs, time interval of joining in the last SFD, and the frequency of simplified fire drills experienced are negatively associated with participants' psychological discomfort. Moreover, personal awareness of precaution, individual initiative of participation, individual satisfaction with SFDs' performance, the time interval of joining in the last SFD, procedural arrangement of SFDs, and the frequency of simplified fire drills experienced could explain 30.02% of the variance in participants' psychological discomfort.

FACE SHIELD MAKING TRAINING FOR PKK WOMEN IN THE VILLAGE OF BUGUL LOR PASURUAN

Bugul Lor Village is a village in Panggungrejo District, Pasuruan City, East Java Province. One of the problems faced by residents in Bugul Lor village is that the level of awareness of protecting themselves during a pandemic is still low. Such as implementing physical distancing, using masks, hand sanitizers, and other personal protective equipment. Bugul Lor Village has potential that can be exploited to create a healthy and prosperous society. The community service activities aim to provide training on making face shields in Bugul Lor Village, Panggungrejo District, Pasuruan City, East Java Province. This activity was carried out in August 2020 and was attended by 10 PKK RT/RW mothers: 02/02. The material presented in the training activities is material on making face shields. The implementation team presented the tools and materials needed. The implementation team demonstrated how to make a face shield. Each trainee was asked to try to make a face shield. This activity received a positive response from the training participants. After the activity was carried out, the knowledge and skills of the training participants in making face shields increased.

Diversifikasi Pengolahan Gula Kelapa Di Desa Sungai Intan Kecamatan Tembilahan Hulu Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir

This community service activity was carried out at Sumgai Intan, Tembilahan Hulu District, with the aim of increasing the community's knowledge and skills regarding the diversification of coconut sugar processing. The method used in this activity is counseling and followed by discussions with the village community as a process for transferring knowledge. The main target groups are coconut sugar craftsmen, coconut farmers, farmer/women groups, PKK activists and school dropout youth. Evaluation of the results of counseling is carried out after counseling and discussions have been carried out. The results of community activities show that the implementation of training and diversification of coconut sugar processing diversification in Sungai Intan Village, Tembilahan Hulu District, Indragiri Hilir Regency has been able to increase the knowledge and skills of training participants in processing natural resources in Sungai Intan Village, namely coconuts by diversifying yields. processed coconut sugar both in solid liquid and crystal form. The success of the training and socialization through this extension program is also seen to be able to encourage the growth of creative and innovative ideas as well as the entrepreneurial spirit of the training participants and the people of Sungai Intan Village. MENGEMBANGKAN KUALITAS TELUR ITIK ASIN: PELATIHAN PROSES FERMENTASI TELUR ITIK ASIN DENGAN STARTER BAKTERI ASAM LAKTAT M-BIO

The conventional production of salted duck eggs has limitations in producing high-quality products, and the traditional process involves several lengthy stages. This community service initiative focuses on socializing and providing training on salted duck egg production using the fermentation method with a biosimultaneous approach from M-Bio, which contains essential lactic acid bacteria. The advantage of producing salted duck eggs using the fermentation method with lactic acid bacteria starter lies in its ability to yield eggs with improved quality in both the egg white and yolk. This community service utilized socialization and training methods, with collaboration partners being Ponpes Murottalul Qur’an Al-Mu’minun and the Family Welfare Empowerment Society (PKK). The location of the community service initiative was in the Cilembang Subdistrict, Cihideung District, Tasikmalaya City, West Java. Thirty participants engaged in the training on salted duck egg production. The community displayed high enthusiasm and curiosity, likely due to their exposure to new information about salted duck egg production using the fermentation method. The outcomes of this community service include the improved skills of participants in salted duck egg production and the economic potential of the resulting products. Product evaluation and ongoing monitoring are necessary to ensure product quality and the sustained positive impact on the community.

The Effect of Instructor Pedagogic Competency and Learning Motivation on Vocational Skills of Training Participants at BLK Cilegon City

This study aimed to analyze and determine the effect of instructor pedagogic competence and learning motivation on the vocational skills of trainees at BLK Cilegon City. The population consists of trainees who are members of the heavy equipment engineering profession, including forklift operator vocational training, excavator operator vocational training, and crane operator vocational training, totaling 120 people, with sample numbers of 92 people. The background of this research is due to the instructor’s pedagogic competence, learning motivation, and vocational skills that have yet to be evenly distributed to all training participants. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The research method uses descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach. The data is then processed using the SPSS-25 application. The study results show that: 1) the instructor's pedagogical competence has a very significantly affects the trainees’ vocational skills. 2) learning motivation has a very significantly affects the trainees’ vocational skills. 3) the instructor’s pedagogical competence and learning motivation simultaneously has a very significantly affects the trainees’ vocational skills at BLK Cilegon City.Keywords : Instructor Pedagogic Competence, Learning Motivation, Vocational Skills

"Participation Is Fun and Empowering": A Participatory Approach to Co-Design a Cultural Art Program for Older Chinese at Risk of Depression in Hong Kong.

Internalized ageism and stigma of mental illness may disempower older people and impede help-seeking among those at risk of depression. Arts are deemed enjoyable, stigma-free, and conducive to mental health, and a participatory approach can engage and empower potential service users. This study aimed to co-design a cultural art program and test its feasibility in empowering older Chinese people in Hong Kong and preventing depression. Adopting a participatory approach and guided by the Knowledge-to-Action framework, we co-designed a 9-session group art program using Chinese calligraphy as the channel for gaining emotional awareness and facilitating expression. The iterative participatory co-design process engaged 10 older people, 3 researchers, 3 art therapists, and 2 social workers through multiple workshops and interviews. We tested the program's acceptability and feasibility in 15 community-dwelling older people at risk of depression (mean age = 71.6). Mixed methods were used, including pre- and postintervention questionnaires, observation, and focus groups. Qualitative findings suggest the feasibility of the program, and quantitative findings indicated its effects in increasing empowerment (t(14) = 2.82, p < .05), but not in other mental health-related measurements. Participants reflected that active participation and learning new art skills were fun and empowering, arts enabled them to gain insight into and express deeper feelings, and groups with peers made them feel relatable and accepted. Culturally appropriate participatory arts groups can effectively promote empowerment in older people, and future research should balance eliciting meaningful personal experiences and measurable changes.

The effect of radiotherapy on neurogenic speech and language disorders of patients with primary brain tumour in the early period

Within the scope of the study, it is aimed to reveal the effect of radiotherapy applied to neurogenic speech and language disorder patients diagnosed with primary brain tumour in the early period. The participants of the study consist of 35 patients selected among those with primary brain tumour who applied to the Radiation Oncology Unit of İstanbul Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Training and Research Hospital. Within the scope of the research, Gülhane Aphasia Test 2 (GAT-2) and Standardized Mini Mental Test (MMT) were applied to the participants before they received radiotherapy. GAT-2 and MMT were reapplied to the patients 30 days after they had received radiotherapy as part of the treatment process. Results of the study indicated that, before radiotherapy, tumours formed in the frontal and temporal lobes, including the dominant language centers, had a negative effect on the cognitive performance of the patients, as well as their speech and language skills. However, after radiotherapy was applied, two patients with tumours in the left parietal lobe had a decrease in their speech and language skills, while no deterioration was observed in the speech and language skills of the other participants. This may be due to the early phase of radiotherapy.

Students’ Participation and Collaboration Skills through RADEC Learning Model and the Influencing Factors

This study aims at identifying forms of participation and collaboration through RADEC learning and the influencing factors. The subject of this study comprised 32 students (18 males and 14 females) attending an elementary school in Bandung city. Case study with a qualitative approach was employed as the method of the study by utilizing instruments such as observation sheets, student work sheet, and field notes. Obtained data were analyzed using Miles Huberman's (1992) technique with data validation using reference material techniques and methodological triangulation. The results reveal that (1) doing assignments, asking questions, delivering opinions and arguments, giving responses and making conclusion are forms of participation students engage in the classroom, (2) students collaborated through group work, active participation and contribution in the group assignment, listening and discussing a variety of topics, showing appreciation, matching assignments and work, cooperate to gain ideas and realize them through a respectful and proper decision making, and (3) several factors influence the students’ participation and collaboration, namely confidence, hard work, and teachers’ stimulation. These results signify that RADEC learning is able to stimulate students’ participation and collaboration.

Empowerment of Women Farmer Groups at East Sidomulyo sub-district in The Use of Household organic Waste as Organic Fertilizer with Composter

The scarcity of chemical fertilizers resulted in the termination of agricultural activities was carried out by the Pelita Hati women farmer group. An alternative solution that can be provided is to utilize organic materials in the surrounding environment, such as household organic waste. The waste will be converted into organic fertilizer using modern composting equipment, namely composter. The aim of this activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of participants in utilizing household organic waste into organic fertilizer using a composter. The method applied at Pelita Hati WFG, East Sidomulyo sub-district, Pekanbaru, Riau, are counseling, demonstrations and practices, and evaluation in making organic fertilizer from household organic waste with a composter. This activity was attended by members of Pelita Hati WFG and ran effectively. The results of the questionnaire shown that this activity can increase the knowledge and skills of participants in processing household organic waste into organic fertilizer.

Development of Learning Devices Based on Ethnoscience Project Based Learning to Improve Students’ Critical Thinking Skills

One of the causes of the low critical thinking skills of participants is caused by the learning process that focuses on mastering concepts alone without involving students to construct knowledge independently. Less comprehensive learning tools are the main obstacles that are often encountered in the implementation of learning. Project based learning is a constructivist method that is able to involve students to construct knowledge empirically, one of which is by utilizing the content of ethnoscience as a contextual approach in project learning. This study aims to develop a quality ethnoscience-based Project based learning devices in terms of content validity and empirical validity. This study uses the research and development method with the ADDIE model. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Gandapura. The research instrument used a validation sheet, student response questionnaires and teacher response questionnaires. Data analysis used the Aiken V coefficient for critical thinking skills test questions; Interclass correlation coefficient for lesson plans, Student Worksheets and Handouts; percentage formula for teacher and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the ethnoscience-based Project based learning devices were categorized as very feasible and could improve the critical thinking skills of students with an N-gain of 0.88 which was classified as high, and received a positive response from the teacher with a percentage of 96.71% and students by 86.35%

Associations between basic motor competencies, club sport participation, and social relationships among primary school children

Children learn and deepen their motor competencies in a social context. Basic motor competencies (BMC) enable children to actively co-act and participate in sports situations with peers. Participation in club sport activities has a positive influence on the development of motor and social competencies. The purpose of this study is to describe the connection between basic motor competencies, club sport participation and interpersonal relationship skills among 6 to 8 years old children. In the present study, the BMC of N = 880 first and second grade primary school children (48.9% girls, aged M = 90.36 months, SD = 6.90) in Switzerland were tested in the competence domain of self-movement and object movement. The children’s club sport participation and the relationship skills were recorded from the parents’ perspective. Data was analysed using correlations and mixed regressions. The results show a connection between relationship skills, basic motor competencies and club sport participation in school children. For boys, significant correlations were found between relationship skills and BMC (r = .186, p ≤ .01) so as with the club sport frequency (r = .184, p ≤ .01). For girls, only the correlation between relationship skills and club sport frequency (r = .137, p ≤ .01) was significant. The frequency of club sport participation (β = .13, p = .009), motor competencies (β = .09, p = .016) and sex (β = .10, p = .004) of the children were found to be predictors for the relationship skills. The results of this study suggest that children with higher motor competencies and children who participate more often in club sport seem to have better relationship skills. These findings are relevant as they indicate a link between motor competencies and interpersonal relationship skills in middle childhood.

Financial literacy: learn smartly and wisely family’s financial planning in Gedongboyo Untung Village, Lamongan

The level of financial literacy in Indonesia is still low (&lt;50%). Financial literacy is closely related to financial planning. Financial planning is not only for those who have financial difficulties, but also for those who have excess finances so that they can be planned optimally. The purpose of this community service is to increase literacy and understanding of family financial planning, so that the community, especially PKK women in Gedongboyo Untung Village can manage their family finances well. The implementation method applied is socialization and financial literacy education counseling regarding family financial planning as well as training in making doormats from used cloth. The result of this program is an increase in literacy understanding of family financial planning and its practice. In addition, it also improves the skills of participants in utilizing used cloth in the form of goods that can be used and have sale value.

Leasing evaluation training as an alternative financing for MSME Seruni

Seruni is a business group formed since the Covid-19 Pandemic. The main problem of these MSMEs is the lack of capital they have so they have not been able to meet market demand. This training activity is a form of community service that aims to improve the financial literacy, especially regarding lease financing. The target of this program is to improve the skills of participants in making effective financial decisions so that this business will be able to develop and be sustainable in the future. The program began with conducting a pre-test, continued with the delivery of material and discussion, and closed with a post-test to find out the effectiveness of the program. Based on post-test result, it can be concluded that the understanding of the participants has increased after participating in this program.

Workshop Penerapan SAP2000 Untuk Konsultan Perencana Di Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara

The problem that occurs is there are many planning consultants in North Padang Lawas Regency who are not proficient and skilled in applying SAP2000. Therefore, it is necessary to hold a workshop on the implementation of SAP2000 for planning consultants in North Padang Lawas Regency as a solution to the problem that occurs. The aim of this workshop is to improve participants' skills in analysis with SAP2000. The stages of implementing this workshop are: conducting a survey on SAP2000 mastery; make proposals based on survey results; planning the preparation of materials, modules, pre-test, post-test, attendance and schedule of community service activities; dividing the team's tasks in which the chairperson serves as a teacher for one hour then the members continue, while students prepare attendance, pre-test and post-test; make conclusions based on the results of the pre-test and post-test that have been carried out. The methods applied in this activity include: presentations, tutorials and practices, modules and questions and answers. Based on the results of community service activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the SAP2000 application workshop for planning consultants in North Padang Lawas Regency was able to improve the skills of participants (planning consultants) in analyzing with SAP2000 with an increase in the level of achievement of high mastery of the material from 53.33 % to 80%. This happened because it was supported by the high interest and enthusiasm of the participants to take part in the workshop and training before the workshop was held through the distributed modules.

Effects of ICT Integration in Teaching Using Learning Activities

Progress in schooling using competence-based teaching for students is a priority in setting up a quality-centered educational process. Thus, using ICT tools as teaching–learning techniques represents an important objective in reaching scholastic performance and the capacity to offer students various experiences in teaching. Starting with an analysis of research on integrating ICT tools in the educational environment, this study is aimed at presenting teaching opportunities for all students, seeing education through the lens of those instruments specific to a secondary school level, referencing the subject of geography. The applied research design includes mixed methods applied to a total of 674 students, based on results received before and after a written evaluation, to determine the level of knowledge of the students. The present study evaluates the learning environment in which a successful and practical integration of ICT tools is anticipated in the teaching and learning process, from the perspective of the comparative measurement of the impact on the tests, resulting from the formative assessment. The conducted experiment and the Google Forms questionnaires suggest, through the degree of involvement of all students, how technology can facilitate the teaching–learning process. The results showed that there are statistically significant differences between the experimental and the control group, and that information and communication technologies (ICT) represent an important tool for improving performance and developing participatory skills, having the ability to provide students with positive results.

Pembuatan Kompos dan Eco Enzyme sebagai Solusi Pengolahan Sampah Organik di Desa Borobudur

Many immigrants, the increasing population, and changes in the lifestyle of Borobudur (Central Java) impact the environment. One of them is waste wasting. The provision of organic trash cans and inorganic garbage cans for free in every house in the homestay village, Ngaran II Village, still has not made residents disciplined. Meanwhile, in Bumisegoro Village, the manager of the TPS3R Waste Bank has not been able to take advantage of organic waste (tempat pembuangan sampah). This activity aims to increase awareness of Ngaran II Village residents and the TPS village manager Bumisegoro Village to sort and process organic waste into compost and eco enzymes. The total number of participants was 23 people. This activity takes place from February until August 2022 through the stages of preparation, implementation, assistance, monitoring, and evaluation. Implement activities in the form of counseling on waste and its management and training on composting and eco enzymes. This activity adds to the knowledge and skills of participants. In addition, participants demonstrated their ability to make compost and eco enzymes for their use

The method is by conducting training on the implementation of ICT-based learning models for primary school teachers in the coastal areas of Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province, such as the use of learning videos using Canva, and also related to gamification for learning. This activity begins with the provision of basic material related to learning media, followed by practice in creating Canva-based learning videos, and ends with practice in creating gamification-based learning media using the Wordwall application.
