The purpose of the study is to determine the content and structure of the legal competence of primary school teachers as a professional quality necessary for the effective implementation of the requirements of the federal State educational standard of primary general education. The article discusses the current problem of developing the legal competence of primary school teachers in the context of the implementation of the Federal State Educational Standard. Based on the analysis of scientific papers and regulatory documents, the concept of "legal competence of a primary school teacher" has been clarified, the main structural components of legal competence have been identified and characterized: motivational, cognitive, practical and personal (reflexive). The key requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education for the legal competence of teachers as the basis for the formation of citizenship, patriotism and legal consciousness of younger schoolchildren are identified. The scientific novelty of the study is to clarify the content of the concept of "legal competence of primary school teachers". For the first time, the main structural components that form the legal competence of a teacher have been systematized and substantiated. The legal competence is considered not only from the perspective of normative legal knowledge, but also as an important educational tool for the formation of legal awareness and citizenship of younger schoolchildren. As a result of the study, it was found that the legal competence of a primary school teacher is a prerequisite for effective professional activity that ensures the successful implementation of the Federal State Educational Standard and includes knowledge of laws and other regulatory documents, understanding their content, the ability to apply legal norms to specific educational situations, and a willingness to constantly update legal knowledge.

MAIN SPECIFICITIES OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE REFORM PEDAGOGICAL MOVEMENT IN HUNGARY: ALTERNATIVE SCHOOLS AFTER 1990

The study aims to present the current reform and alternative education situation in Hungary. Hungarian reform pedagogy has a long history, and between the two world wars, the reception of European reform trends became a significant part of the pedagogical culture. The New School movement, the Child Study movement and experimental pedagogy became an integral part of Hungarian pedagogy. Reform pedagogical institutions were established mainly in the capital, the most important being Waldorf, Montessori pedagogy, the Family School, the New School, and in the countryside, the most significant were the School of Action and the Garden School (Szeged). The information sources for the study were the results of research on reform pedagogy and life reform in Hungary, studies about alternative pedagogical schools, and pedagogical websites. The outline and overview analysis cover the conceptual definitions, the historical traditions and the main features of the current situation. The research group of Eötvös University (led by Prof. András Németh), the Jena-Plan working group, has played a prominent role in researching (over 30 years) and promoting the Hungarian reform pedagogical movement.

Developing an integrated model for remote teaching amelioration with artificial intelligence (AI) awareness

Purpose This research aims to propose a high-performance-based model of remote teaching where trained teachers (those who deliver lectures by using different tools i.e. Microsoft Team, Zoom, etc.) can get the desired results through artificial intelligence (AI) awareness, knowledge sharing and transformational leadership in the future. Design/methodology/approach This research is quantitative in nature and convenience sampling is followed to gather data from 307 trained faculty (those who deliver lectures by using different tools i.e. Microsoft Team, Zoom, learning management systems, etc.) from various universities of the federal capital territory (FCT) Islamabad and district Rawalpindi of Punjab province, Pakistan who worked online from home during novel corona lockdown. SmartPLS is used for data analysis and structural equation modeling is performed to test the suggested model. Findings Results revealed that AI awareness has a significant positive influence on knowledge sharing but exhibited a negative significant impact on teacher performance. Likewise, knowledge sharing acts as a partial mediator; however, transformational leadership moderates between remote working and knowledge sharing. Originality/value During the pandemic, the mode of instruction shifted from physical to online, generating several barriers for teachers who were used to on-campus teaching. This research presented an effective model for knowing the mechanism of possible and reliable implications at educational institutions of developing countries to get the desired outcomes of effective online teaching in calamity situations.

Pedagogical Content Knowledge in Written Educational Plans in the School-Age Educare Setting

This study focuses on written educational plans in the school-age educare (SAEC) setting. The purpose of the study is to add to knowledge about planning in the SAEC setting. The study also focuses on how SAEC teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge could be understood through written educational plans. The material in the study includes written plans from four different SAEC centres. The plans are analysed using concepts from the theoretical framework in the study; pedagogical content knowledge. The results show how curricular knowledge, subject matter knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and contextual knowledge are identified in the written educational plans in two themes: from content to activity plans and children’s influence plans. The results show descriptions in the written educational plans of how content is transformed into teaching situations and activities. It also shows how children’s influence is identified as both content of the plan and as a teaching strategy within the plan. Teaching in the SAEC setting is a complex issue involving goal-oriented activities, activities with children’s influence as a starting point, and teaching in the informal open space.

Strategies for Bolstering Multicultural Representations in Independent Sector Dance Education

Integrating diverse cultural elements in dance curricula provides students with numerous benefits; however, many teachers encounter obstacles to including multicultural elements in their dance classes. This article features strategies beneficial for supporting teachers’ efforts toward heightened multiculturalism in independent sector dance education. Approaches regarded as effective for encouraging the inclusion of diverse cultural information into dance curricula were acquired from prior scholarly research and qualitative data sourced from a mixed-methods case study investigating multiculturalism’s situation in New England independent sector dance education. Findings revealed five groupings of strategies from prior scholarly research and five prominent strategies expressed by study participants. Highlighting approaches effective for integrating cultural elements into dance curricula may support teachers’ efforts toward strengthening the overall presence of multiculturalism in the independent sector dance education environment.

The Religious Factor in the Development of Folk Education in Podillia (1864–1917): Historical and Comparative Aspects of Spiritual and Intellectual Education

The article analyzes the role of the religious factor in the development of folk education in Podillia between 1864 and 1917, particularly in the context of the educational reforms of the Russian Empire. The study explores the relationship between religious education and general education in religious institutions such as monastery schools, theological seminaries, parish schools, as well as the role of state zemstvo schools. It emphasizes that religious education, alongside general education, played an important role in shaping moral and ethical standards, especially in the context of Podillia, a multi-confessional region where Orthodox Christians, Catholics, Jews, and Protestants coexisted. The article examines the specific features of religious education for each of these groups, providing a comprehensive view of the educational situation in Podillia during this period. Particular attention is paid to religious schools as instruments for preserving national and cultural traditions in the context of the policy of Russification implemented by the Russian Empire, especially in the western provinces. The study investigates how, despite efforts by the government to Russify education, church schools not only provided religious instruction but also fundamental general education, thus preparing students for adult life. The article also analyzes spiritual and intellectual education, which became the foundation for forming civic values, social norms, and an active civic stance under imperial rule. Church educational institutions in Podillia became centers for preserving religious identity, which in turn supported the development of national consciousness in the region. A comparative analysis of religious schools among different ethnic and religious groups allows for a deeper understanding of the role of education in cultural processes at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Until 1917, religion played an important role in shaping education in Podillia, where parochial schools were the basis for the moral upbringing of young people. However, after the revolution and the secularization of education, not only the learning process itself but also the cultural and moral climate changed. The loss of the religious component in education led to significant changes in society, including the spread of socialist ideas that differed significantly from traditional Christian values.

Unpacking Chinese Medical Students’ Well-being and Its Relationship with Grit and Resilience

Enlightened by the tenets of positive psychology (PP), well-being is regarded as a critical construct in the educational situation. The other factor is resilience documented as a precarious value among medical students that will allow them to deal with the challenges faced in both their educations and future professions. Furthermore, grit is another considerable point in the learning process that has been at the center of researchers’ attention in recent years due to its long-run importance; however, what remains ambiguous is the role of grit and resilience in mitigating learners’ well-being among medical students. To this end, 1,088 Chinese medical students (359 males and 729 females) took part in this study. They completed three questionnaires including the resilience scale, grit scale questionnaire, and general well-being scale. Multiple regressions were run and it was revealed that grit and resilience could predict 64.5% of the variance in well-being which was significant. Finally, some implications and recommendations have been presented for language teaching stakeholders in scholastic contexts.

Challenges and Choices Amidst Military Conflict: The Present and Future of Medical Education and Healthcare in Sudan.

The situation for medical education and healthcare in Sudan has been challenging for the recent years, and emigration of physicians is an ongoing problem threatening the healthcare system. We conducted this study to understand the future plans of medical students and their perceptions regarding their medical education and healthcare system. We performed this cross-sectional study at five public and private Sudanese medical schools in November 2023. We distributed the questionnaire electronically through an Online Google Form via social media platforms, such as WhatsApp Messenger. Descriptive statistics were employed for the data analyses. The mean age (±SD) of the students was 22.2 (±2.7) years, and females constituted 61.8% (397) of the study sample. About 18% of the students rated their medical training as excellent, and half of them (50%) said that it was good. Nearly half of the students believed the quality of healthcare services in hospitals was poor (46%) along with a shortage or severe shortage in its number (49%). A majority (58.4%) thought frequently or constantly about leaving Sudan after graduation. Reasons given for leaving included better personal lifestyle, avoiding conflict, advanced training, and better professional opportunities and salary. Leading motives for staying included the pull of friends and family and a sense of responsibility to the country. This study indicated the pressing need for comprehensive interventions to address the challenges faced by medical students in Sudan. The strong desire to emigrate increased by the current conflict, coupled with concerns about the healthcare system and medical education, poses a significant threat to the future of healthcare services in the region.

Aesthetic education is an education in aesthetics, a form of humanistic education that holds profound significance in cultivating character and shaping personality. One of the keys to carry out the fundamental task is to do a good job in aesthetic education in colleges and universities, which is an important part of improving the educational system in colleges and universities. At present, there are still some problems in science and engineering universities, such as the lack of aesthetic education and the monotonous form of education. Based on the reality of science and engineering aesthetic education, this paper tries to improve the level of aesthetic education by perfecting the curriculum system, optimizing campus culture and establishing a practice platform.

The Enlightenment and Reference of Finland’s Special Education Financial Model to China

This study aims to investigate the financial system of special education in Finland and explore the implications of Finland’s experience for China. The research methods include literature review and statistical data analysis. The main issues include allocating special education funds, management models, and their effects between the two countries. This article compares the financial background and current situation of special education in China and Finland, pointing out challenges such as insufficient funding, uneven resource allocation, and shortage of professional personnel in China. By comparison, Finland adopts an inclusive education fiscal system that emphasizes fairness and efficiency. Through centralized financial support and flexible resource allocation, it has achieved high-quality development of special education. China can learn from Finland’s experience in rational planning of financial investment and improvement of policy support, to enhance the quality and equity of its special education and improve China’s national policy on special education. Summarizing Finland’s experience and providing insights for China, it is recommended that China learn from Finland’s successful practices in funding, resource allocation, audit evaluation, and professional training to optimize the use of special education resources and enhance educational equity and quality.

English Teachers' Attitudes Towards Professional Development Activities

The role of teachers extends beyond the classroom; they are pivotal change agents in society who must continuously update their knowledge and skills to align with evolving time, technology and circumstances. This article explores some of the most common and effective strategies for teacher learning and professional development and teachers' attitudes toward them. For this, a questionnaire was administered to purposively selected thirty English teachers teaching grades XI and XII in government schools in and around Butwal. This study sheds light on the practices adopted by teachers and the degree to which they embrace professional development opportunities. The findings aim to provide actionable insights for fostering a culture of continuous learning among educators. Though most of the strategies and activities presented in this article do not cost extra fund, many teachers are not aware of the processes and opportunities of teacher learning and professional development. They are not trying these activities in their day to day English language teaching and learning situations. Knowing the importance of the activities and opportunities of professional learning and development, the teachers do not using them to be updated to teach in their ELT classes. This ultimately seems to hamper the quality of teaching and education process as well as the personality of the teachers due to being less competent in teaching English.

The Expression of Teacher Professional Burnout in Lithuanian Preschool Education

Burnout by educators of educational institutions is already a vital problem in some national education systems. Lithuania is not an exception. The current research concentrates on the situation of preschool teaching, as there is a lack of research investigating this particular group of teachers. Taking into account the fact that professional burnout syndrome begins imperceptibly, but later causes serious consequences not only for the educator himself/herself but also for the entire educational process, it is appropriate to conduct a research that aims to evaluate the manifestation of the burnout syndrome expressions of Lithuanian preschool teachers. Research methods: analysis of the scientific literature, quantitative research approach, aiming to evaluate the expression of professional burnout of pedagogues of Lithuanian preschool education institutions. Data were collected while using questionnaire survey the sample consists of respondents who represent the studied population, i.e. educators of preschool education institutions in Lithuanian cities and districts. During the quantitative research survey, 240 preschool teachers were interviewed. The results of the research showed that approximately one out of seven preschool education teachers experience severe burnout. The were revealed the major issues of the nature of professional burnout, highlighting its complexity, involving increasing emotional and physical fatigue, depersonalization, and decreased professional aspirations. Factors such as age, qualification category, and working hours also have influence on the professional burnout level. Management factors such like heavy workloads, poor relationships among the teachers and administration, large group sizes contribute to teacher burnout. These factors have direct impact on the interactions with children, parents, colleagues, and managers. Burnout reduces motivation, organizational ability, and can lead to job dissatisfaction and workplace changes. Additionally, the negative impact on the educational process, such as creating an unfavourable learning environment and increasing the workload for other staff may be cleared out.

Pedagogical communication is included in the structure of methods and methods of teaching and education. The leading place in pedagogical communication is occupied by social perception, which is the process of people's perception and understanding of each other. The activity and communication of the teacher with the class are the main elements of the educational situation. In the process of pedagogical communication, there is a directed and natural interaction, which can be both positive and negative, both non-verbal and verbal and is carried out through suggestion, persuasion, imitation and personal example. Teacher communication during group lessons has unique requirements. Thus, the teacher who is in direct contact with the class collective demonstrates an example of efficiency, kindness, confidence, concentration and organization with the power of psychological influence. Such conditions create a business revival. For this purpose, rational use of the power of the voice, speed of speech, asking questions to reveal the experience and knowledge of students, episodes of the life of the educational institution, films and works of art are used. By observing the emotional state of the audience, the teacher reconstructs his behavior, semantic breaks, clearly emphasizes the main thing, tries to build mutual understanding through examples and facts. The culture of the teacher's speech, its clarity, comprehensibility and correctness are supported by the activity and cognitive interest of the audience.

Current Situation and Countermeasures of Music Education in Higher Education Institutions

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the current situation and problems of music education in higher education institutions in China, and to put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions. First of all, through the analysis of the current situation of music education, it is found that the problems of single curriculum, insufficient teachers, limited facilities and resources, lack of practice and activities, and imperfect evaluation system are more prominent. In order to solve these problems, this paper puts forward a series of countermeasures and suggestions, including optimising the curriculum, strengthening the construction of teaching staff, increasing the input of facilities and resources, enriching practice and activities, and improving the evaluation system.

Application Analysis of Digital Resources in University Classical Music Teaching

As an important part of art education in colleges and universities, classical music teaching needs to keep up with the development of The Times and actively integrate into modern digital resources. Firstly, this paper analyzes the current situation and problems of classical music teaching in universities. Then, the potential value of digital resources for problem solving is elaborated in detail, including providing diversified learning resources to help overcome regional restrictions, making it possible to learn anytime and anywhere, and using the visual characteristics of digital technology can make the learning process more intuitive and vivid. Finally, specific and effective strategies are put forward, such as establishing a perfect digital resource database and conducting moderate technical training, so as to deepen the application of digital resources in classical music teaching in colleges and universities. The results show that the use of digital resources can not only change the learning style while increasing the learning fun, but also improve the teaching effect.

SUPPORT SYSTEM AS A PREREQUISITE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL ADAPTATION OF NOVICE TEACHERS

The process of adaptation of any person to the new place of work is an important stage that contributes to the further motivation both to stay in a particular place of work and to continue to be a representative of the chosen profession. Encouraging novice teachers to remain in their chosen profession is the actuality of the modern educational space. It is therefore important to evaluate all possible support tools and resources for the adaptation of novice teachers, as well as to identify opportunities for their useful, meaningful and targeted use. Thus, the questions become relevant: "What factors contribute to the adaptation of a novice teacher in a general education school?" and "What support system is needed for the successful adaptation of novice teachers in general education schools?".This article, without excluding other possibilities and probabilities, will examine the factors contributing to and hindering the successful adaptation process of novice teachers who started working in general education schools, the offer of support measures from both a historical and contemporary perspective, choosing the situation of the Latvian state as the basis for the study. The importance of the support system for the successful adaptation of novice teachers will also be highlighted. The research is based on the study of theoretical literature and the personal experience of the author of the publication (as a novice teacher).The aim of the article is to study the offer of existing support systems for novice teachers, based on periodicals, various scientific publications, legislative regulations, OECD and other educational studies, as well as the content analysis of other historical sources, and to identify elements of the model of successful adaptation of novice teachers. This will become the basis for further empirical research, the result of which will be the development of an adaptation model for novice teachers. The research method: theoretical analysis of scientific literature and sources. As a result of theoretical research, based on the content analysis of various historical sources and international research, the following elements of the support system have been identified as the most important: participation in mentoring introductory programmes, the attraction of a teacher-mentor from an educational institution, introductory training, opportunities for self-expression, the quality of mutual relations in the school team. More on these and other aspects of the adaptation of novice teachers in the main part of the article.It should be noted that the study was conducted within the framework of the educational situation in Latvia, therefore, further research would be necessary to confirm the results in the international educational context.
