We have been developing host-guest methodology for separation of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) according to the handedness and diameter with gable-type chiral diporphyrins, designated as diporphyrin nanotweezers, consisting of two porphyrins and rigid spacer in between [1-4].
