AbstractThe maximum stress oscillation amplitude and maximum coupling strength of the optical fiber with multiple sector stress elements are studied. Optimized fiber structure with craft feasible is designed and the related structural parameters are given. Comparing the research results, it is found that the optical fiber with triple sector stress elements can achieve the strongest coupling strength to realize the single circular polarization state conversion by the shortest coupling distance. In addition, though the maximum coupling strength is decreased as the number of stress elements increases, it remains the same order of magnitude as the triple sector's. So from the craft perspective, whether it is an optical fiber with triple sector stress elements or the other optical fiber with more sector stress elements, the optical fiber with the property of single circular polarization transmission can be achieved if the spinning rate satisfies the phase matching condition.
