Results of our grounded theory exploration of the experiences of Muslim American military personnel (MAMP; N = 13) resulted in a model of discrimination and resiliency in Muslim American military personnel (DaRMAMP). DaRMAMP extends Loo, Singh, Scurfield, and Kilauno's (1998) model of race-related stress through its focus on discrimination and resilience in multiple contexts (e.g., in the military as well as in the Muslim American civilian and American civilian communities). Practical applications involve intentional areas of inquiry regarding effects of discrimination and resiliency resources during psychological intervention and opportunities for psychoeducation.
