Effect Analysis of Different Use Ways of a Q10 Child Seat

In this paper, the injury situation of Q10 child dummy was optimized and analyzed by analyzing the impact of different ways of using a certain child seat ,and analyzing the crash test data of a real car based on LS-DYNA crash simulation analysis software after the vehicle benchmarking, by elaborating on the protection of child occupants in different ways of using this type of child seat, so as to provide a reference for the development of child restraint system of new cars. The results show that: Regardless of whether this type of child seat has an optional seat back, adding seat belt Secure Guard and not using ISOFIX fixing, the dummies' injuries show a decreasing trend. This study provides reference for the selection and use of this type of child seat in dynamic test.

Simulation and Analysis of Factors Influencing Climate Adaptability and Strategic Application in Traditional Courtyard Residences in Hot-Summer and Cold-Winter Regions: A Case Study of Xuzhou, China

Residential buildings consume significant amounts of energy worldwide. Traditional courtyard houses have substantial energy-saving potential due to their low energy consumption and high climate adaptability, which has heightened interest in their climate-responsive design. In recent years, extensive research on traditional houses has been conducted in China, indicating significant variations in energy performances among traditional courtyards within hot-summer and cold-winter climate zones. Therefore, this study, based on research conducted on traditional courtyard houses in the Xuzhou area and utilizing Ecotect and Phoenics ecotechnology software for simulation analysis, comparatively examines the factors influencing energy consumption to assess the energy-saving potential of these houses in hot-summer and cold-winter climate zones. Research has indicated that when traditional Xuzhou courtyard houses meet certain criteria—including an orientation of 20° east of south for the main building, width-to-depth ratio of 2:1, roof slope of 35°, courtyard width-to-depth ratio of 1.7:1, use of branch pick windows, building height of 4.5 m, and a specific window-to-wall ratio—they achieve optimal climate adaptability. This study proposes dimensions for traditional residential buildings suited to the Xuzhou climate and explores their practical application, providing targeted optimization and retrofitting suggestions to support sustainable architectural and ecological development.

Simulation Analysis of Loss of Coolant Accidents Based on CNIFA Program

Abstract The loss of coolant accident in the primary pipeline of a reactor is a typical accident in the safety analysis of nuclear power plants, and it is one of the accidents with a high probability of occurrence. Due to the extremely complex structure of the lower space of the containment vessel, it increases the complexity of fluid flow during a loss of coolant accident. This article is based on the internal water flooding analysis simulation software CNIFA of a nuclear power plant to simulate the water flooding of a rupture in the main pipeline heat pipe section of a power plant, and to conduct a comprehensive water flooding scenario simulation for this working condition. The quantitative information collected during the simulation process, including dynamically displayed water volume, water level, and their changes over time, facilitate emergency response personnel to choose the correct response plan in advance, it can also provide more accurate basis for various specialties in design analysis.

Development of a Technique for Mitigating Four-Wave Mixing Effect in Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing System Using DP-QPSK with Channel Spacing

A Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) system is a vital component in the optical network for the transmission of high data over a long distance. However, the non-linear effect of Four-Wave Mixing (FWM), one of the critical non-linear effects, limits the channel capacity and the amount of data that the DWDM system transmits. Intensity Modulation formats and Channel Shuffling algorithms being used to overcome the impact of FWM in DWDM are unable to sufficiently suppress the FWM effect due to limited capacity. This research, therefore, examined the mitigation of the FWM effect in the DWDM system using Dual Polarization Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (DP-QPSK) and channel arrangement. The DP-QPSK was designed and implemented using 100 GHz for both Equal Space Channel Allocation (ESCA) and Unequal Space Channel Allocation (USCA). It was analysed on a 64-channel DWDM system operating at 100 Gbps capacity over a transmission distance of 1000 km. The DP-QPSK-based ESCA and USCA techniques were simulated using OptiSystem 17 simulation software and Python for data analysis. The performance of the system was evaluated using bit error rate (BER), optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) and Electrical Constellation Diagram. Validation was done with other advanced modulation formats: Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) and Differential-Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (D-QPSK). The DWDM system using DP-QPSK gave better performance due to the highest OSNR and BER values obtained when compared with ESCA-based QPSK and D-QPSK techniques. The technique can be used to suppress the effect of FWM in optical communication systems.

Research on Surface Processing Method of Pulse Transmission Signal of Amplitude-Modulated Drilling Fluid in 10,000-m Deep Wells

Conventional Measurement-While-Drilling (MWD) technology is unable to function statically at the predicted temperatures of deep formations exceeding 200 °C in wells reaching depths of 10,000 m. It is limited to measuring downhole engineering parameters through purely mechanical means, such as inclination. However, the accurate long-distance transmission of drilling fluid pulse signals poses a significant bottleneck, restricting the application of these mechanical measurement methods. To address these issues, this paper develops and designs an algorithm to identify and analyze the amplitude characteristics of deep well mud signals. By employing a signal coding algorithm, a signal processing analysis method, and a signal feature recognition algorithm based on grey correlation degree, we construct a signal recognition method capable of decoding mud amplitude encoded signals. Key techniques such as filtering, smoothing, and feature extraction are utilized in the signal processing, and the proposed method’s effectiveness is verified through the analysis of collected signals. Furthermore, long-distance simulation analysis software is developed to evaluate waveform distortion during extended transmission, confirming the feasibility of the recognition algorithm. Laboratory experiments demonstrate that this algorithm can accurately recognize and demodulate signals generated by mechanical inclinometer structures, providing a novel decoding method for signal transmission in deep and ultra-deep wells.

Study on the Hydration Heat Effect and Pipe Cooling System of a Mass Concrete Pile Cap

Under the action of cement hydration heat, the construction environment, thermal insulation measures, and pipe cooling systems, a mass concrete pile cap is subject to a complex internal temperature field, which makes it difficult to control its internal surface temperature difference (TISTD), the internal adiabatic temperature rise (TIATR), and the surface temperature (TST). In this study, a mass concrete pile cap of a very large bridge (the length, width, and height were 26.40 m, 20.90 m, and 5.00 m, respectively, and the central-pier pile cap was constructed with C40 concrete) was taken as the research object. The control factors affecting the temperature field of the pile cap were determined by comparing the field temperature measurements with the values calculated with finite element software simulation analysis. By using Midas Civil (2022 v1.2) and Midas FEA (NX 2022) finite element software, these factors (the concrete mold temperature, the concrete surface convection coefficient, the ambient temperature, the pipe cooling system parameters, etc.) were numerically analyzed, and their influence laws and degrees were determined.

Stray light analysis and suppression of a UV multiple sub-pupil ultra-spectral imager

A multiple sub-pupil ultra-spectral imager system for simultaneous detection of multiple substances is proposed. By employing pupil separation prisms and grating multilevel spectra, the system achieves simultaneous detection of three spectral channels with a single spectrometer and detector, featuring an ultra-high spectral resolution of 0.1 nm. However, due to simultaneous detection of three channels, the system suffers from significant stray light issues. In response to this problem, a UV multiple sub-pupil ultra-spectral imager system optical-machinery model is constructed in this article. The main sources of stray light are determined through theoretical derivation and simulation analysis, and the level of stray light in the system is analyzed using simulation analysis software. A structure for stray light suppression is optimized, and the use of multispectral filters is proposed to suppress stray light generated by spectral crosstalk in the system. The effectiveness of stray light suppression is evaluated based on the energy response of the receiving surface. The analysis results show that after optimization, the level of stray light in the T1 channel is reduced from 1.4% to 0.65‰, in the T2 channel from 3.0‰ to 0.5‰, and in the T3 channel from 0.16‰ to 0.05‰. Therefore, it can be concluded that the proposed method for stray light suppression in the UV multiple sub-pupil ultra-spectral imager system addressed in this article meets the indicator requirements.

Psychological Motivation Analysis of Farmers' Collective Energy-saving Behavior and Influence of Intervention Effect

The poor thermal performance of rural buildings in northern China and the serious pollution caused by loose coal combustion are practical problems that need to be solved urgently. In order to solve the two problems, this paper analyzed the current situation of the envelope structure of rural houses in the north of our country and the commonly used heating forms of farmers. It was found that the envelope structure of most rural houses did not take heat preservation measures and needed to be transformed to save energy. The commonly used heating systems for farmers are coal furnaces, hanging kang, earth heating, etc., and the wealthier rural areas use biogas or straw gasification for central heating, but there are still various problems to be improved in these systems. In order to improve the thermal performance of the farmers' building structure, the thermal performance measurement and energy-saving transformation of the enclosure structure of a typical farmer in Xiaoyi, Shanxi Province were carried out. Before the energy-saving transformation, Energy Plus software simulation analysis shows that the typical farmer can save 60% of the heating energy consumption after the energy-saving transformation. Before and after the energy-saving transformation, the actual measurement results show that the heat transfer coefficient of the wall, window and roof decreased by 72.7%, 61.59% and 64.99% respectively from 2.3 times, 1.43 times and 2.11 times the national requirement limit. The performance of the envelope structure after the energy-saving transformation can meet the national requirements. The actual statistics show that the biomass fuel consumption per unit temperature difference before and after the transformation is saved by 66.74%, which indicates that the energy-saving transformation has achieved good results, and shows the accuracy of the Energy Plus model. The psychological intervention of energy-saving transformation proposed in this study helps to improve people's awareness of energy-saving, reduces anxiety and fear, and has a very good effect on the psychological intervention effect.

Modeling and motion simulation study of a three-dimensional sewing device

Abstract In response to the sewing demands of steering wheels and their unique shapes, a multi-robot arm cooperative three-dimensional sewing device was designed to achieve efficient and precise sewing operations. Utilizing SolidWorks, a collaborative three-dimensional sewing device involving multiple robotic arms was engineered, and its mechanism model was established in ADAMS software for motion simulation analysis to evaluate the device’s performance and motion characteristics. This three-dimensional sewing device is capable of fulfilling the sewing requirements of special curved surface items such as steering wheels, enhancing production efficiency and saving labor. Taking the constructed physical prototype as the research subject, motion experiments simulating the sewing process were conducted. Combined with the simulation results, curves, and three-dimensional motion effects, the feasibility of the design was successfully verified, providing a foundation for subsequent sewing trajectory planning and motion control of the device.

The utility model relates to an L-band slot antenna conformal with a submarine cable

In order to better receive Beidou satellite signals on ships, miniaturized antennas are becoming more and more important. To solve the problem of antenna miniaturization, this paper proposes a novel back cavity slot antenna (CBSA) in conformation with submarine cable. The slot antenna works in the L-band of BDS, adopts parasitic patch structure, and uses HFSS electromagnetic simulation software for simulation and analysis. Results The maximum electric field intensity between the gaps on the surface of the antenna decreased from 854.31V/m to 681.88V/m, and the average gain of the antenna increased by 0.15dB.

Analysis of fire protection design strategies for commercial renovation of villagers’ self-built houses

Abstract The current situation of self-built houses by villagers is prevalent in rural areas, where many villagers construct their own residential dwellings based on their personal needs and economic circumstances. These self-built houses are typically constructed using basic materials and traditional building techniques, often without adherence to strict building regulations and standards. As a result of the lack of professional knowledge and technical guidance, the structural integrity and safety of these houses are often compromised. In addition, the lack of firefighting facilities and fire prevention measures further increase the risk of fire accidents. This situation contributes to a higher incidence of fires in rural areas, posing a significant threat to the lives and assets of villagers. Therefore, it becomes imperative to improve the current state of self-built houses by villagers. Strengthening fire safety awareness and implementing robust fire prevention measures are vital in this regard. This paper aims to summarize the challenges involved in fire protection design for renovating rural buildings. Additionally, it proposes fire protection design principles specifically for the commercial transformation of self-built houses by villagers. By analyzing real-world engineering cases, this study puts forth specific fire protection measures concerning fire rescue, fire control zones (groups), evacuation design, and fire systems. To ensure the fire safety of these buildings, special fire protection design methods are employed. The effectiveness of the proposed fire protection measures are validated through the use of FDS fire and smoke numerical simulation analysis software and Pathfinder evacuation simulation software, ensuring the fire safety of the buildings. The results show that the available safe evacuation time that can be provided by this scenario is 1200 s as calculated by the FDS simulation, and the necessary safe evacuation time is less than the available safe evacuation time in case of a fire on the first floor of this building, and the safe evacuation of the people can be guaranteed. This study can provide a valuable resource for architects, engineers, and decision makers to implement effective fire protection measures during commercial remodeling of village-owned houses.

Research on S-type fiber Bragg grating acceleration sensor for low-frequency vibration monitoring.

The acquisition of low-frequency vibration signals in earthquake exploration is a crucial aspect of seismic exploration technology. Addressing the difficulty current fiber optic sensors face in monitoring low-frequency vibrations, this paper proposes an acceleration sensor based on S-type Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG). First, an FBG acceleration sensor model is established and theoretically analyzed. Then, the impact of structural parameters on the sensor's sensitivity and natural frequency is examined, employing the ANSYS finite element analysis software for static stress and modal simulation analysis. Finally, a prototype is developed, and a low-frequency vibration testing system is assembled to test the sensor's performance. The results show that the sensor has a natural frequency of 34Hz, operates in a frequency band of 0.2-14Hz, has a dynamic range of 63.5 dB, a lateral interference of less than 3%, a sensitivity of ∼274.45 pm/g, good linearity, and is insensitive to temperature. The findings provide a reference for the development of similar sensors and further exploration of the lower frequency limit.

Electromagnetic transient simulation of power system based on PSCAD calling ADPSS

Abstract As the power system gradually expands into a massive scale, time-varying complex system, the requirements for simulation analysis software are constantly improving, and electromagnetic transient analysis plays a crucial role in the power system. Therefore, to solve the possible limitations of this traditional simulation method, this paper proposes an electromagnetic transient simulation of power systems using PSCAD, called ADPSS. Firstly, according to the basic overview and advantages of the electromagnetic transient analysis program PSCAD/EMTDC and the mathematical model software package ADPSS, the interconnection principle and implementation method between PSCAD/EMTDC and ADPSS are studied, and a simple power system power supply model is established in PSCAD. Then, the principle of PSCAD-ADPSS interface technology is studied. The electromagnetic transient simulation is carried out in the interface environment, and the interface custom components are designed. Finally, by conducting a comparative analysis of the simulation outcomes, it is found that the simulation waveforms obtained in the two simulation environments are almost the same, which shows the effectiveness of PSCAD-ADPSS interface simulation technology in electromagnetic transient analysis and has the potential to enhance the precision and dependability of electromagnetic transient simulation.

Climate Adaptation Analysis and Comfort Optimization Strategies for Traditional Residential Buildings in Hot-Summer, Cold-Winter Regions: A Case Study in Xuzhou, China

Climate change and the energy crisis have catalyzed the architectural industry’s consideration of green and energy-efficient buildings. With the continuous deepening and expansion of research, people have gradually realized the reference value of the passive design strategies embedded in traditional residential buildings for contemporary architectural design and renovation. This paper takes the traditional residential buildings on Hubu Mountain, Xuzhou, as its research object, and explores their thermal and wind environment characteristics through field investigations and software simulation analysis. It is found that Xuzhou’s traditional houses have good temperature regulation, with fluctuations of about 5 °C indoors and 10 °C outdoors in summer and about 7 °C indoors and 12 °C outdoors in winter. Their form, material and structure are well adapted to the local climate. There is also a need to optimize the buildings’ moisture resistance and ventilation for better comfort. Subsequently, this study analyzes the climate adaptability features in traditional building construction techniques and then extracts climate adaptability methods, proposing targeted optimization and renovation suggestions, aiming to contribute to the sustainable development of architecture and ecology.

Experimental and theoretical study on the influence of bundle number on corona loss characteristics of ultra high voltage corona cage positive/negative DC conductors at high altitude

The corona loss generated by the conductor is one of the important factors in the design of ultra-high voltage (UHV) direct current transmission lines. This article is based on the high-altitude (2200 m) ultra-high voltage corona cage experimental platform built in Xining City, Qinghai Province. For the LGJ400-35 conductor used in the typical ± 800 kV DC transmission lines from Qinghai to Henan Province, positive and negative polarity corona experiments were conducted on LGJ400-35 conductors with 4, 6, 8, and 10 bundle under surface field strength conditions of 14–22 kV/cm. For the first time, corona loss data of bundle conductors in positive/negative polarity ultra-high voltage DC transmission lines were obtained, Fit the prediction formula for corona loss of transmission lines under different bundle numbers and surface electric field strengths of wires. And build a model in COMSOL Multiphysics software for simulation analysis, fitting the correction factor for the impact of wind speed on wire corona loss. The research results in the article can provide data reference and support for the construction of ultra-high voltage direct current transmission lines in high-altitude areas.

Numerical simulation of leakage jet flame hazard of high-pressure hydrogen storage bottle in open space

The jet fire is a common type of fire accident in high-pressure hydrogen storage bottles. It is crucial to conduct research on the thermal radiation hazards resulting from on-board hydrogen storage bottle leaks, leading to jet fires within 35 MPa. Additionally, accurately and swiftly calculating the characteristic parameters of hydrogen jet flames, such as flame geometry and radiation heat flow, is of utmost importance. To study the jet fire hazard caused by high-pressure hydrogen storage cylinder leaks, a simplified model of the hydrogen storage cylinder was established using FLUENT software for numerical simulation analysis. The study analyzed the impact patterns of high-pressure hydrogen leakage jet flames under different scenarios, including leakage aperture, leakage pressure and ambient wind speed. The results demonstrate a positive correlation between the leakage aperture and pressure with the size of the jet flame and the extent of thermal radiation damage. The larger the leakage aperture and pressure, the larger the hydrogen jet flame size. The higher the peak value of the flame thermal radiation, the greater the hazard range. Additionally, the temperature of the stable axis of the jet flame rises with increasing leakage aperture. As the leakage pressure rises, the thermal radiation of the flame also increases. Conversely, as the ambient wind speed increases, the flame length, the burn radius, and the thermal radiation range decreases, but the high-temperature heat range expands. The empirical formula between flame length and leakage pressure and leakage aperture under different environmental wind speeds is obtained by data fitting, which can be used as a priori prediction of flame length under wind speed conditions.

Thermal corrosion fatigue crack growth behavior and life prediction of 304SS pipeline structures in high temperature pressurized water

The influence of transient water temperature changes on the fatigue crack growth behavior of 304SS pipeline structures was studied based on high-throughput testing method through the modification of dual loop circulating water equipment. Results demonstrated that the fatigue crack growth rate gradually decreased with the decrease of cooling rate, and the crack growth rate was exponentially related to the cooling rate. Both the base material and weld of the stepped pipe showed a transgranular cracking mode, and propagated continuously by slip-oxidation mechanism. Compared with the fine equiaxed grain of the base material, the grain in the weld was coarse and the residual strain was large, and the crack growth rate of the weld was obviously higher. Then, the thermal fatigue crack growth rate model for stepped pipes was established by combining finite element thermo-mechanical coupling simulation and three-dimensional crack propagation analysis software, and the model was modified based on the experimental results.

Research on transmission and crosstalk characteristics of a new type of through silicon via and multilayer through silicon via

In this work, a new type of bar-coaxial ring TSV (B-coaxial ring TSV) structure was proposed. This study used three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software for analysis. Firstly, the conventional Bar-TSV (B-TSV) structure and the B-coaxial ring TSV structure were modeled, and their S-parameter results were compared. Our results indicated that the B-coaxial ring TSV structure had better transmission characteristics and crosstalk resistance. Secondly, by simulating of the B-coaxial ring TSV structure and the coaxial ring-tapered TSV structure, we proposed how to choose different structures for different application scenarios. Thirdly, the influence of some structural parameters of the B-coaxial ring TSV structure on the transmission performance was studied. Finally, the multilayer TSV structures of conventional B-TSV, B-coaxial ring TSV and coaxial ring-tapered TSV were studied respectively, and their performance was compared and analyzed.

Disaggregation Model of Tigris River Inflow into a Proposed Makhol Reservoir Using Parametric Approach

Since Makhol dam is planned to be constructed on Tigris River to the north of Baiji discharge measurement station, it is essential to study the nature of inflow into this reservoir. The information concerning this inflow is of great help in operating and management of the prospective reservoir. From our point of view, it is necessary to know how these inflows are distributed and contributed to Tigris from different upstream sources. Disaggregation flow models are stochastic generation techniques, that used to divided data into lower time scales from higher time scales using parametric approaches with two main categories: spatial and temporal. In the streamflow disaggregation model, historical data statistics (mean, skewness, standard deviation, maximum, and minimum) can be preserved while distributing single-site values to several sites in space and time. In this study, the aggregated streamflows data at a key station will be disaggregated into a corresponding series of discharges at sub-stations that are statistically similar to those observed by applying Stochastic Analysis Modeling and Simulation (SAMS 2010) software. To investigate the appropriate the disaggregation method for modeling monthly flow data, we used the annual and monthly data flow of five gauging stations in the Tigres River in Iraq (Mosul Dam station on Tigris river, Asmawah on AlKhazir river, Eski Kalak on Upper Zab, Dibs Dam on Lower Zab, and Baiji station on Tigris river) for the duration 2000–2020. The application approach's statistical outcomes were contrasted with their historical counterparts and the results showed that most years and months at all stations were in good agreement with the historical data. Therefore, we argue that this method have ability to be used when making decisions about water management strategies in these regions which is essential for water resource managers and decision makers.

Static and Dynamic Analysis of Coupled Vibration of Suspension Bridge Structure Under Earthquake Action

This article investigates the coupled vibration problem of suspension bridge structures under earthquake action, and conducts static and dynamic analysis using computer algorithms. In terms of static analysis, complex structures are divided into many small elements, and the stress and deformation of each element are calculated through finite element analysis, thereby obtaining the static characteristics of the entire structure. In terms of dynamic analysis, the seismic response analysis method based on time history considers seismic action as a time-varying external excitation, and calculates and simulates the dynamic response of the suspension bridge structure. In order to achieve efficient and accurate calculations, this article also adopts optimization algorithms and numerical calculation methods. Through a comprehensive study of statics and dynamics analysis, the key characteristics and regularities of coupled vibration of suspension bridge structures under earthquake action have been obtained. These research results not only provide important theoretical guidance and technical support for related engineering practices, but also provide useful references and inspirations for dynamic analysis and optimization design of similar structures. Meanwhile, using computer algorithms and simulation software for static and dynamic analysis can significantly reduce analysis costs and time, improve analysis accuracy and efficiency, and have broad application prospects.
