1. 1. This study has dealt with the telemetering of the EEG from a football player in action. 2. 2. The dominant frequency of the background rhythm is not static, but is constantly changing (“dynamic EEG”) according to the moment to moment changes in the environmental conditions. Relatively high frequencies (up to 13 c/sec) were seen during conditions of great anxiety and anticipation. Rarely, theta rhythms appeared after severe head impact, but their paucity and short duration suggested that no significant head trauma had occurred. 3. 3. It is hoped that this study will encourage others to investigate the dynamic aspects of EEG in various life situations.
