Oral Health-Related Quality of Life among Adolescents in the First 6 Months of Fixed Orthodontic Therapy

Clarification on disabilities that may arise during orthodontic treatment allows patients to have more realistic expectations. This prospective study assessed the impact of fixed orthodontic therapy on adolescents’ quality of life over 6 months. A total of 78 adolescents aged 11–17 years were included. Quality of life was measured using the Child Perceptions Questionnaire (CPQ11–14, short form) at five moments: before treatment (T0), one week (T1), one month (T2), three months (T3), and six months (T4) after treatment initiation. Multiple and pairwise comparisons were conducted for CPQ11–14 scores (Friedman and Wilcoxon test; effect size). Changes in the quality of life were assessed as mean differences (T0–T1 and T0–T4) in total and domain scores (Kruskal–Wallis and Mann–Whitney test) (α = 5%). Significant differences were observed between T0 and T4 in the oral symptoms’ domain (p < 0.001), and between T0 and T1, T2, T3, and T4 for emotional well-being (p < 0.001 for all). Significant differences in impact were also found between T0 and T2, T3, and T4 with regard to social well-being (p = 0.004, =0.049, and <0.001, respectively). Orthodontic therapy positively impacted the emotional and social aspects of adolescents’ quality of life. Negative effects were primarily related to pain, mouth sores, and difficulty biting or chewing. Understanding the symptoms and feelings of orthodontic patients aids professionals in decision-making.

Factoring Impacts to Water Supply Well Operations into Groundwater Management Planning.

Groundwater management planning requires balancing the interests of different stakeholder groups because (1) water supply development causes changes to groundwater systems that include declines in groundwater levels and (2) benefits and costs from pumping the common-pool resource often do not occur such that they are shared proportionate to use. Quantifying impacts from declining groundwater levels among user groups can be useful for evaluating management strategies. In California, considering impacts to supply well operations is proving important for acceptance of management plans that have been required by law. A case study is presented to illustrate the types of results that may contribute to the planning process. The results indicate that significant differences in impact may occur between groundwater pumpers. Suggestions are provided for using this information to mitigate impacts to the most vulnerable stakeholders.

Impact of Pregnancy Induced Hypertension Upon Fetal Risk During Second and Third Trimester: A Follow-Up Study

Objective: The study was aimed to investigate the impact of pregnancy-induced hypertension on fetal risk during the second and third trimesters. Methods: The descriptive cross-sectional study design approach is done in AL-Diwaniyah City/ Iraq, by interrogating members of the study population, with the aim of describing the studied phenomenon. To conduct the study, a non-probability (purposive) sample of (72) they were monitored and evaluated during two periods (during second and third trimester). The instrument dependability was established through a pilot research, and it was subsequently presented to experts for validation. The information was collected through interview and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical data analysis. Results: Out of 72 participants aged 30-34 years from urban residents and housewife and demonstrated that the impact of pregnancy induced hypertension in second trimester upon fetal were low impact as described by higher mean and standard deviation 16.44 (±1.65). While, a moderate impact of pregnancy induced hypertension upon fetal in third trimester at moderate mean and standard deviation 14.67 (±2.16). There is significant difference in impact of pregnancy induced hypertension upon fetal between second (low impact) and third (moderate impact) trimester (t=7.079; p=0.001). Conclusions: Pregnancy induced hypertension in terms of impact, women expressed a moderate fetal impact in two period of measurement second and third trimester (significant fetal impact associated higher the gestational age). Health education and providing a realistic picture of the dangers and difficulties of pregnancy can help reduce pregnancy risks. Research from China finds no significant difference in impact of public service motivation (PSM) in public and private sectors

PurposeThe authors assumed PSM would be higher in the public sector, but they set up a trial to find out if this was the case.Design/methodology/approachTo test their theories, the authors conducted two independent surveys. The first consisted of 220 usable responses from public sector employees in Changsha, China. The second survey involved 260 usable responses from private sector employees taking an MBA course at a university in the Changsha district. A questionnaire was used to assess attitudes.FindingsThe results found no significant difference between the impact of public sector motivation (PSM) on employee performance across the public and private sectors. The data showed that PSM had a significant impact on self-reported employee performance, but the relationship did not differ much between sectors. Meanwhile, it was in the private sector that PSM had the greatest impact on intention to leave.Originality/valueThe authors said the research project was one of the first to test if the concept of PSM operated in the same way across sectors. It also contributed, they said, to the ongoing debate about PSM in China.

Has the Belt and Road Initiative improved the quality of economic growth in China's cities?

Reform and opening up in China has produced high levels of economic growth but there have been problems concerning its quality. We investigate the effects of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) on the quality of urban economic growth using the difference-in-difference model with microdata of 285 prefecture-level cities in China from 2004-2018. We find this impact is positive and significant and occurs through three mechanisms: technological innovation, industrial structure upgrading and resource allocation optimization. Heterogeneity analysis shows significant differences in impact across city levels, spatial structures and location conditions. The effect of the BRI is most obvious in first- and second-tier cities and non-capital cities and is greater for cities with high sprawl and polycentric clusters. The quality of economic growth is most improved in Silk Belt pioneer area, followed by the open core area, strategic pivot and external-window area.

Donor-Specific Antibodies and Primary Graft Failure in Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

With the increasing number of non-matched donor hematopoietic stem cell transplantations (HSCTs) has come increasing evidence regarding factors affecting graft outcomes. One factor affecting graft outcomes currently being evaluated is anti-HLA donor-specific antibodies (DSAs). In this, we analyzed the clinical relevance of anti-HLA DSAs in patients who have undergone HSCT at a population level by conducting a systematic review of existing literature. A comprehensive search was conducted through PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane library, and Web of Science from inception to January 1, 2021. A meta-analysis was performed of the association between anti-HLA DSAs and primary graft failure (PGF) with further subgroup analyses. The search was conducted following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. A total of 920 eligible citations were identified, out of which 15 studies were included in the final meta-analyses after application of rigorous selection criteria and independent review. A total of 2436 patients were included in these 15 studies. Patients with anti-HLA DSAs prior to undergoing HSCT had a 7.47-fold increased risk of PGF failure compared with patients without anti-HLA DSAs (odds ratio, 7.47; 95% confidence interval, 4.54 to 12.28, P < .001; I2= 28.91%, P=.1315). In subgroup and meta-regression analyses, area, Newcastle Ottawa Scale score, mean fluorescence intensity cutoff, primary disease, HSCT type, graft source, and pretransplantation desensitization did not affect the impact of anti-HLA DSAs on PGF. There also was no significant difference in impact between HLA class I and II on PGF. We conclude that the prior presence of anti-HLA DSAs has a negative impact on graft outcomes in recipients of haploidentical and umbilical cord blood HSCT.

Virtual versus In-Person Presentation as a Project Deliverable Differentially Impacts Student Engaged-Learning Outcomes in a Chemical Engineering Core Course

Over the past decade, the increasingly globalized society has continually redefined the qualities and skills of an ideal engineering graduate for industry and academic careers, and, more recently, in light of a global pandemic in 2020, the pedagogical environment has shifted toward a virtual classroom setting. Because the engineering and social challenges of the modern world are rapidly evolving, it is important to adapt teaching methods that reflect these changing times. An increasingly attractive teaching method in the engineering classroom is project-based learning (PBL), which is known to improve engaged-learning outcomes, such as creativity, risk taking, social responsibility, teamwork, self-confidence, and communication. However, it is still unclear how various PBL practices differentially impact these engaged-learning outcomes. Toward the goal of elucidating this, the impact of two different project formats, a virtual presentation versus an in-person presentation, was evaluated for a junior-level chemical engineering core course, Mass and Heat Transfer, over 2 years (248 students total). In surveys conducted after the projects were completed, students were asked to what degree the project improved each of the learning outcomes on a scale of 0 (no impact) to 10 (great impact). Data from these postproject surveys showed no statistically significant differences in impact on teamwork, self-confidence, and communication skills between the two groups. However, the virtual presentation had statistically significant greater positive impacts on student creativity [mean score: 8.9/10 (virtual) vs 7.7/10 (in-person); p < 0.001] and risk taking [mean score: 7.7/10 (virtual) vs 6.1/10 (in-person); p < 0.001], whereas the in-person presentation had a significantly more positive impact on social responsibility [mean score: 6.5/10 (in-person) vs 5.5/10 (virtual); p < 0.05]. Qualitative insights into these results were gathered from discussions with students in focus groups. The results of this study underscore the unique advantages associated with different presentation formats. From the perspective of the current transitions to online learning, the results suggest that changing project deliverables from an in-person to a virtual format may actually yield net gains in engaged-learning outcomes.

Assessment of the aesthetic impact and quality of life of home dental bleaching in adult patients.

BackgroundThis study aimed to evaluate the impact of home bleaching with 10% carbamide peroxide on the quality of life and aesthetic perception of patients. Material and MethodsA total of 107 patients between 18 and 38 years of age with good oral and general health and at least one anterior tooth in color A2 or darker were selected. Patients who previously underwent any type of bleaching procedures were excluded. All patients received a home bleaching treatment with 10% carbamide peroxide. Before beginning the bleaching treatment, the selected patients responded a form with the Oral Health Impact Profile short form (OHIP-14) and Oral Aesthetic Subjective Impact Scale (OASIS) questionnaire. One month after the bleaching treatment, the patients answered the same questionnaires again. The mean ΔE after bleaching was obtained for the canines and lateral and central incisors. The OHIP-14 and OASIS data were measured for the total sample before and after bleaching using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test with a 5% significance level. ResultsThe effectiveness of whitening by significant color variation was observed in all groups of teeth with less variation in ΔE for central incisors. Comparing before and after bleaching, there was no significant difference in impact for any of the seven domains and total OHIP-14 scores, although a decrease was observed in the discomfort and psychological disability domains. As for the self-perception of dental aesthetics, measured by the OASIS, there was also no significant difference for all the items evaluated; however, it was possible to observe an increase in “concern with dental appearance” after bleaching. ConclusionsHome bleaching with 10% carbamide peroxide did not have a significant impact on patients’ quality of life and aesthetic perception, although there was a decrease in the domain of psychological discomfort and an increase in concerns about dental appearance. Direct Effects of High-Impact Practices on the Success of Business Majors in Large, Mostly Nonresidential Public Universities

High-impact practices (HIPs) have been shown to be effective in helping first-year students successfully transition into college. However, since most of the research on HIPs has been done in small liberal arts settings, little is known about the efficacy and implementation practices of HIPs in large, public, primarily nonresidential institutions, or business schools within these institutions. This article seeks to address this need. Our study suggests that a comparison among students involved in HIPs versus those who forgo the experiences shows significant differences in impact, particularly on degree completion. However, further analysis shows that the gains were primarily achieved among students who were not members of underrepresented minority (URM) groups. As institutions face pressure from key constituents to improve graduation rates while reducing achievement gaps, it is becoming increasingly important for administrators and faculty to assess which approaches are most likely to achieve both these aims, particularly as scaling HIPs to larger settings is expensive and fraught with difficulties. This study reports on the effectiveness of HIPs for supporting the success of both URM and non-URM students and makes recommendations for building student success programs that ensure the success of all students, especially in large, diverse higher education institutions.

Lay navigation across the cancer continuum for older cancer survivors: Equally beneficial for Black and White survivors?

The Patient Care Connect Program (PCCP), through lay navigators' distress assessments and assistance, was shown to lower healthcare utilization and costs in older cancer survivors. PCCP benefits and assistance needs for disadvantaged minorities (e.g., Black) vs. Whites are unknown. We examined the PCCP impact with retrospective analyses of Medicare claims (2012-2015). Outcomes were quarterly costs and utilization (emergency room (ER), hospitalizations) for navigated and matched survivors. Repeated measures generalized linear models with normal (costs), and Poisson (utilization) distributions assessed differences in trends overall and separately for Blacks and Whites. With distress data for navigated survivors, we assessed high distress (score > 3), ≥1 distress cause (overall, by domain), and ≥ 1 assistance request by minority group. Beneficiaries were: 772 Black and 5350 White navigated, and 770 Black and 5348 White matched survivors. Impact was: i) costs: -$557.5 Blacks (p < .001), -$813.4 Whites (p < .001); ii) ER: Incidence Rate Ratio (IRR) 0.97 Blacks (NS), 0.93 Whites (p < .001); iii) hospitalizations: IRR 0.97 Blacks (NS), 0.91 Whites (p < .001). There was no significant difference in impact across minority groups. No significant differences were found in high distress (29% Black, 25.1% White), ≥1 distress cause (61.6% Black, 57.8% White), or ≥ 1 assistance request (64.5% Black, 59.1% White). Blacks were more likely to have ≥1 distress cause in the Practical domain. The PCCP may benefit both Black and White older cancer survivors. Programs should consider the proportion of older survivors with high distress, and the specific needs of minorities.

Early impact of fixed orthodontic therapy on gingival health status in relation to weight status

Background: fixed orthodontic appliances deleterious influence on gingival health is well documented. Association between weight status and gingival health is presented in many studies. This study aimed to evaluate how early the impact of fixed orthodontic therapy on patients` gingival health, and if there are differences of that impact among different weight status groups. Materials and Methods: Sample consisted of 54 patients (25 males, 29 females; age limits are 16 -18 years) going under the course of treatment with fixed orthodontic appliance. Patients were categorized according to their Body Mass Index (BMI) into 3 weight status groups considering WHO charts in 2007 (underweight, normal weight, overweight and obese), then determination of each patient`s gingival health status was through the criteria of the gingival index (GI) by Loe and Silness in 1963 which modified by Loe in 1967. Records of gingival index for all patients who met specific criteria were taken in three time points [before bonding (1st visit), 2 weeks after bonding (2nd visit), and 4 weeks after bonding (3rd visit)]. Also BMI of the patients were checked at each of the three visits. Results: There was a significant increase in gingival index for all BMI weight status groups after just two weeks of treatment, and the increase continues during the 3rd visit, with no significant difference in impact among weight status groups. Conclusions: oral health preventive measures should be applied rapidly and equally to all patients treated with fixed orthodontic appliances, without taking their BMI weight status in consideration.

Leveraging advertising to a higher dimension: experimental research on the impact of virtual reality on brand personality impressions

As new advertising formats emerge, research regarding their effectiveness is called for. Since the emergence of virtual reality (VR) technology, several brands have started implementing VR advertising in their communication strategies. The research objective of this study is to examine whether mobile VR advertising can positively impact managerially relevant brand outcome variables [brand personality (BP) impressions, brand attitude and purchase intentions] compared to traditional 2D advertising. An experimental between-subjects design comprising 160 respondents reveals a significant difference in impact between 2D and VR advertising on three out of five BP dimensions (namely ‘excitement’, ‘sophistication’ and a marginal effect on ‘ruggedness’). Furthermore, mobile VR advertising evokes significantly more positive consumer attitudes and higher purchase intentions than mobile 2D ads. The findings of this study imply that mobile VR advertising can be effective for brand managers who are in search of bringing their brands to life and who aim to obtain more positive consumer attitudes and higher purchase intentions towards their brands.

Cost-effectiveness of precision medicine in gastrointestinal stromal tumor and gastric adenocarcinoma.

Over the past 20 years, with the incorporation of genetic sequencing and improved understanding regarding the mechanisms of cancer growth/metastasis, novel targets and their associated treatments have emerged in oncology and are now regularly incorporated into the clinical care of patients in the US. Novel, more tumor-specific, non-chemotherapy agents, including agents that are commonly used in the treatment of patients with gastric adenocarcinoma (GA) and gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST), fall under a broader treatment strategy, termed "precision medicine". While diagnostic testing and associated treatments in metastatic GA (mGA) are costly and may produce marginal benefit, those associated with GIST, despite being costly, produce significant improvements in patient outcomes. Despite the significant difference in impact, the agents associated with these cancers have similar acquisition costs. In this paper, we will review the current literature regarding cost and cost-effectiveness associated with precision medicine diagnosis and treatment strategies for GA and GIST.

They now have smaller diameters than their predecessors and improved imaging capabilities, among other benefits. In this study, three ureteroscopes were directly compared with regards to optics, ureteroscope deflection and irrigation flow. METHODS Two digital flexible ureteroscopes including the Flex-Xc (Karl Storz, Germany) and URF-V2 (Olympus, Japan) and one fiberoptic flexible ureteroscope (URF-P6, Olympus, Japan) were assessed in vitro for image resolution, distortion, field of view, depth of field, grayscale imaging and color representation. Ureteroscope deflection was tested with an empty channel followed by placement of a 200 μm laser fiber, a 1.9F wire basket, a 2.0F Nanoelectric pulse lithotripsy (NPL) probe and a 2.4F NPL probe. Ureteroscope irrigation flow was measured using normal saline at 100 cm, with an empty channel followed by a 200 μm laser fiber, a 1.9F wire basket and a 2.0F NPL probe. RESULTS The optical characteristics of the three ureteroscopes are shown in Table 1. The digital platforms showed superior resolution and depth of field while the Fiberoptic platform had a larger field of view. No substantial difference was demonstrated in color reproducibility or grayscale discernment. Maximal deflection of each ureteroscope is shown in table 1. There was no significant difference in impact on deflection between the ureteroscopes by instruments in the working channel. With an empty channel, the flow rates of the URF-V2 and URF-P6 were identical and significantly lower than the Flex-Xc (p=0.001). The Flex-Xc maintained significantly faster flow with instruments in the channel than both the URF-V2 and URF-P6 (p=0.03). CONCLUSIONS The flexible ureteroscopes tested showed excellent optical, deflection and flow capabilities. The resolution of the digital ureteroscopes is superior to the fiberoptic scope, yet the field of view is limited. Abstract A42: A community of cancer communicators: The influence of a collaborative faith-based social marketing project to address CRC risk and prevention among African American church populations

Abstract African Americans have the highest colorectal cancer (CRC) mortality and morbidity rates when compared to all other racial and ethnic groups in the United States (ACS, 2014). Faith-based health promotion interventions and programs targeting this population have shown effective however cancer disparities remain; in some cases the cancer mortality gap is widening among African American men (Jemal et. al, 2010). Strategic health communication programs that engage and include the consumer in a collaborative communication process can help to address and eventually break down barriers that contribute to health disparities (Kreps, 2006). The present study aimed to investigate the influence of socially marketed cancer communication materials in predominately African American churches in the Midwest and how these materials impacted colorectal cancer screening with a FIT (fecal immunochemical test) kit. African Americans between the ages of 45 and 79 (n=163) from six churches participated in the study. Churches were randomized as clusters in a 2-arm design. Cluster randomization was based on location in the metropolitan area and also the congregation size. Intervention churches (3) received culturally and religiously targeted communication materials from church personnel who were either a registered nurse, other medical professional (e.g. CNA) or who were affiliated with health initiatives at the church. Control/comparison churches received standard CRC screening education by non-church personnel. The pilot intervention occurred at intervention churches over a 5-6 week period that began with a workshop presented by the church to educate and inform participants about CRC risk, prevention and screening with a FIT kit. In subsequent weeks the church marketed additional materials to participants that were sponsored, created and disseminated by both the church and university researches. Comparison churches received standard CRC communication materials (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) that were available via a brief informational session. Other communication materials included general health information about diet, exercise and heart disease. Preliminary results suggest there is no significant difference of impact between standard vs. targeted CRC communication on screening with a FIT kit. Participants in this sample perceived the church and university researchers as important communicators of colorectal cancer risk and prevention. Participants in both arms trusted the information and perceived that communication materials were created and delivered by either the church and/or researchers even in the case they were not. In addition, those who had little knowledge about CRC screening completed the FIT kit for the first time or were willing to screen again if they were not up to date. The trust in the church and also its affiliation to trusted researchers suggests that individuals in this sample have positive perceptions and attitudes toward CRC screening. The lack of knowledge about CRC risk and also tests were modified following church-led workshops and informational sessions. Participants, particularly males, were also more willing to screen for CRC if their pastor or church leader screened for the disease. The partnership and thus delivery of any type of education by Faith Based Organizations and researchers has the potential to impact screening rates and also screening behavior. Industry is the major source of CO2 emissions, whereas 84% of global anthropogenic methane and nitrous-oxide emissions emerge from agriculture. The impact of agro-economic factors on GHG emissions in European developing economies (Southeastern Europe in focus) as compared with European advanced economies has been examined in this paper. The results have confirmed the existence of significant differences in impact of these factors depending on the level of economic development. For both groups of economies, we have confirmed the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis (inverted U-shaped relationship between GDP per capita and carbon dioxide emissions), but different sectoral outputs, too. We have also established different impacts of agro emission sources. In developing economies, we have recognized livestock breeding as a predominant factor and recommended measures for reducing the emissions in this sector, following developed economies. The findings may be useful to European developing economies as a support to implementation of binding commitments emerging from the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). In the panel analysis, we have taken into consideration the non-stationarity of the series, heterogeneity of the sample, and also examined a dynamic specification.

Understanding the Impact of Organizational Structure Levels on Productivity at Imam Reza Mehr Fund in Khuzestan Province

The main focus of this study is understanding the impact of organizational structure levels on productivity in Imam Reza Mehr Fund in Khuzestan province. We has highlighted three component of Organizational structure levels (Formalization, Complexity, and Centralization) and their impact on productivity. The population was 72 employees of Imam Reza Mehr Fund. We determined the amount of the sample size with the used Census sampling method which have been selected through the simple random sampling method. To gathering of data, we used two questionnaires. In order to analyze the data resulted from collected questionnaires deductive and descriptive statistical methods are used. We use two-way variance analysis to test the hypothesis of the research. Findings show that there is a statistically significant difference in impact of organization structure (Formalization, Complexity, and Centralization) different levels on.

Collaboration in the Cloud Computing Among Students of Professional Departments of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad Fawaz Abdullah Alhamdi, Dr. Vaishali Khaparde Abstract The Study examines how students of professional departments of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, collaborate in the cloud computing. A well structured questionnaire was distributed among the 160 students under study, only 121 retrieved. Findings of this study show that all the respondents were aware of using the Internet, respondents prefer to access internet from mobile phone, and student’s collaboration in the cloud computing is being heavily used web mail, face book, and yahoo. And also the study highlights that the majority of respondents are chatting (Mean=3.75) and Sending and receiving email. (Mean=3.55). Also study showed that the majority of respondents have a very high ability to use and access Google applications “Google groups” (Mean=4.78), “Google sites” (Mean=3.88), “Yahoo groups” (3.50), “Google talk” (Mean=3.09), “Google Docs” (Mean=3.07), “Google calendar” (Mean=3.88), also respondents have perfect ability to use “Wikipedia” (Mean=3.72). The study revealed that there is no significant difference in the extent of satisfaction of professional students to collaborate in the cloud computing based on gender (t = 0.518; df = 119; P> 0.05); also there is no significant difference in impact of cloud computing in education of professional students to collaborate in the cloud computing based on gender (t = 0.379; df = 119;; P> 0.05). There is significant difference in the extent of satisfaction of professional students to collaborate in the cloud computing based on post graduation (t = -2.112; df = -119; p < 0.05); and also there is significant difference in impact of cloud computing in education of professional students based on post graduation (t= -2.185; df = -119; p< 0.05). There is significant difference in evaluation performance of collaboration in the cloud based on professional departments (F= 3.565; df=4&116; p<0.05); these significant according to (library since & tourism), (library science & journalism). High-impact strength acrylic denture base material processed by autoclave

PurposeTo investigate the effect of two different cycles of autoclave processing on the transverse strength, impact strength, surface hardness and the porosity of high-impact strength acrylic denture base material. MethodsHigh Impact Acryl was the heat-cured acrylic denture base material included in the study. A total of 120 specimens were prepared, the specimens were grouped into: control groups in which high-impact strength acrylic resins processed by conventional water-bath processing technique (74°C for 1.5h then boil for 30min) and experimental groups in which high-impact strength acrylic resins processed by autoclave at 121°C, 210kPa .The experimental groups were divided into (fast) groups for 15min, and (slow) groups for 30min. To study the effect of the autoclave processing (Tuttnauer 2540EA), four tests were conducted transverse strength (Instron universal testing machine), impact strength (Charpy tester), surface hardness (shore D), and porosity test. The results were analyzed to ANOVA and LSD test. ResultsIn ANOVA test, there were highly significant differences between the results of the processing techniques in transverse, impact, hardness, and porosity test. The LSD test showed a significant difference between control and fast groups in transverse and hardness tests and a non-significant difference in impact test and a highly significant difference in porosity test; while, there were a highly significant differences between control and slow groups in all examined tests; finally, there were a non-significant difference between fast and slow groups in transverse and porosity tests and a highly significant difference in impact and hardness tests. ConclusionsIn the autoclave processing technique, the slow (long) curing cycle improved the tested physical and mechanical properties as compared with the fast (short) curing cycle. The autoclave processing technique improved the tested physical and mechanical properties of High Impact Acryl.
