The Author received his BSEE degree from the University of Maryland where later he also did his graduate level studies. Currently employed by the Naval Ship Engineering Center (NAVSEC), he is Head of the Topside Antenna System Integration Section ISEC-6174F). He began his federal career in the U.S. Navy as an Electronics Technician, and hefirst went to work, both during and immediately after college. at the Naval Research Laboratory. Washington, D. C. Afremards. having specialized in Communications Systems Engineering, he worked for the Federal Aviation Agency - Alaska, the Voice of America. the Defense Communication Agency - Thailand, and finally in 1971. for NAVSEC; a total of more than 25years in government employment. He is a member of the Associution of Scientists and Engineers (ASE). and was the recipient of the 1977 ASE Outstanding Service Award for his work as Editor and Publications Chairman. Currently. he is the ASE Secretay, having previously served in 1977 as the ASE Historian and on the ASE Public Relations Committee. In addition. he is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland and a member of the Armed Forces Communications und Electronics Association IAFCEA). the Tau Beta Pi Nationul Engineering Honor Society, and the Etu Kappa Nu Nationul Electronics Engineering Honor Society.Search for more papers by this author PRESTON E.
