Financial Indicators Shaping Share Price Movement: Insight from the Dhaka Stock Exchange SME Board

This study intends to explore the parameters that influence the share price movement of companies listed under the SME board on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). The small capital platform, popularly known as the SME board is a specialized to trade share of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs). Based on secondary data, the present study used three independent variables, such as Earning Per Share (EPS), Price Earning (P/E) ratio, and Net Asset Value (NAV) per share to evaluate the fluctuations of share price in the market. All the companies listed on the DSE SME board were taken into consideration for the current study. Relevant Data concerning dependent and independent variables were collected from the DSE website. Average closing price of selected shares were collected during March 15, 2022–March 14, 2023. The study performed descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analysis using Statistical Package for Social science (SPSS) software. The study revealed that the fluctuations of share price of SME companies was significantly influenced by EPS, Net Asset NAV per share, and P/E ratio. This maiden study is expected to have implications to companies intending to be listed, investors, regulators, and other stakeholders in Bangladesh.

Wood trade regions of Russia: clustering approach development

Network analysis of the Russian timber industry was based on the information about timber transactions between Russian companies in 2020. The data were collected from the Unified State Automated Information System Accounting Timber and Transactions with It. The method of graph clustering was developed. The first step is clustering of the hole graph by Leiden algorithm. The second step is drawing of each Leiden created cluster in abstract space using Fruchterman–Reingold layout and extraction of clusters from layout using meanshift algorithm. Such approach helped us to divide many Leiden-created clusters into components. This algorithm has a problem of resolution limit. It tends to combine some medium and small clusters into large ones. Also, a special method was developed to limit the uncertainty of clustering – both Leiden algorithm and Fruchterman–Reingold layout are non-deterministic algorithms. Wood trade clusters vary in size and content. They are rather autonomous. The average share of intra-cluster trade is 89%. The modularity score of our partition is 0.863. Each cluster has been described using open sources from the Internet. The content of the clusters does not contradict the logic of the wood industry processes. The clusters create rather compact areas on the map – wood trade regions. Their borders often overlap with existing administrative boundaries. Five types of network structure of clusters were defined: vertical monocentric, vertical polycentric, horizontal, dendritic, simple. There are three factors of clustering in wood industry of Russia: production chains (4 types – pulp, plywood, lumber, chipboard chains), demand chains (redistribution of raw material between manufacturers within the cluster, accumulation of wood volumes for some enterprises outside the cluster, wood trade between traders within the cluster), common holder. We have shown that existing approaches to cluster detection based on location quotients often misrepresent economic networks.

Relationship between maritime transportation and economic growth: highest maritime transport European countries

Maritime transport is one of the most widely used transport channels used by countries in foreign trade. The development of maritime transport affects the economic growth levels of countries. In addition, the increase in the level of economic growth of countries increases their share in international foreign trade and this situation increases the importance given by countries to maritime transport day by day. In this context, the study aims to determine whether there is any causality relationship between maritime transport and economic growth variables in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom, which have the highest maritime transport among European countries. The bootstrap panel causality test was employed to examine the causality relationships between the variables over the time frame of 2008:Q1-2020:Q2. According to the findings, there is a causality relationship from economic growth to maritime transportation in all countries except Italy and the Netherlands. There is a causality relationship from maritime transportation to economic growth in Türkiye and the United Kingdom. As a result, the relationship between maritime transport and economic growth varies from country to country. This situation reveals the necessity of developing national policies for maritime transport by considering the economic structures of the countries.

Analysis of the development of trade and economic relations between the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Russian Federation (RF) is an important aspect of research in the field of international economics and the development of economic relations between these two countries. Since 2022, trade turnover between them has been constantly increasing, setting new historical records. For about 14 years, China has been Russia's largest trading partner in many respects. The purpose of this article is to analyze the development of trade and economic relations between China and Russia over the past few years and identify prospects for future mutually beneficial cooperation. To do this, reports from customs departments of the two countries, expert reviews, and reports from public and private organizations have been used as the main sources of information. These sources provide detailed information on the flow of goods, currency transactions, investment projects, and other important aspects of the trade and economic relationship between the PRC (China) and Russia. Analysis of these sources revealed several key trends and factors affecting the development and prospects for mutual relations between the two countries. An increase in trade turnover was observed, as was an increase in China's share in Russian trade. Additionally, there was a diversification of the commodity structure and a deepening of investment cooperation. Problems faced by the two nations in the process of establishing economic ties were identified, along with their possible solutions. Based on this analysis, conclusions were drawn regarding the possible future evolution and prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation between China and the Russian Federation over the coming years.

Possible Contours of Developing International Trade in the Perimeter of Global Value Chains under the Conditions of New Reality

The transition from hyperglobalization to slowgbalization that began after the 2008 global financial crisis has increased skepticism about the future of globalization and motivation to adjust the architecture of international trade. The subsequent series of global shocks – the aggravation of the US-Chinese trade relations, the COVID-19 pandemic, the events in Ukraine in 2022-2023 – aggravated the situation, exacerbating the problem of stopping the negative consequences of the disruption of supply chains of goods and services. The purpose of the article is to clarify the contours of restructuring and outlooks for the development of cross-border trade in the context of new reality: the imposition of global shocks, increasing geopolitical uncertainty and increasing fragmentation of the world economy. The object of the study is the international trade in the perimeter of global value chains (GVCs), whose share in world trade increased from 34.93% in 1995 to 45.24% in 2007 and, after falling to 43.49% in 2020, quickly recovered and increased to 49.38% in 2022. The analysis of quantitative and structural shifts in GVC-trade was based on the methodology of structuring exports in the categories of value added by A. Borin and M. Mancini. The prospects for GVC-trade were assessed using the methods of identifying the “risk iness” of goods in the export-import turnover of S. Majune and V. Stolzenburg, the frequency of cross-border bilateral interactions of S. Liang, the agglomeration to global trade of K. Baris. The characteristics of the four main options for strengthening the resistance of GVCs in modern conditions are given – reshoring, diversification, regionalization and replication. The working hypothesis has been confirmed: all 4 considered trajectories are not mutually exclusive and none of them presupposes complete autarky of the country. The main conclusion is made, according to which the negative events in the global economy of the last decade reconfigured trade flows, accelerated the processes of regionalization of the global economy, but did not become a trigger for deglobalization.

Algorithmic trading and mini flash crashes: Evidence from Austria

We use stock-day level data on the market share of algorithmic trading to analyze whether algorithmic trading affects the frequency of mini flash crashes in the Austrian stock market. We use an instrumental variables approach and the Petrin and Train (2010) control function approach to address endogeneity concerns. We find no evidence that algorithmic trading significantly affects the probability of the occurrence of mini flash crashes.

Reassessing China's virtual water trade with a global value chain framework: Participation, inequality and multi-scenario analysis

With the rise of global value chain (GVC), traditional accounting methods for virtual water (VW) trade have failed to reflect the inherent VW flow generated by the production of intermediate goods in shared production processes. Here, we reassess China's VW consumption in 2020 based on a new GVC framework, and propose the concept of VW consumption embodied in forward and backward GVC activities (VWF/VWB). We clarify China's role in GVC activities and reveal VWF/VWB inequalities under multiple scenarios. Our results show that the maximum share of VWF and VWB reaches 64.4% and 86.1%, respectively, far exceeding the traditional trade share. China's VWB primarily sources from developing countries in Asia, while VWF primarily serves the United States. VWF/VWB inequalities are exacerbated by China's GVC activities and exhibit considerable variation under multiple scenarios. Our findings provide new insights into reconciling China's GVC participation and narrowing regional disparities in VW consumption.

Construction engineering to transform the composite frame of YY London

30 South Colonnade was a 13-storey composite framed office building, completed in the early 1990s as part of the first phase of London’s Canary Wharf redevelopment. Between 2020 and 2023 it was refurbished to become YY London, a highly sustainable modern workspace. A key aspect of the project has been retention and reuse of much of the existing structure, dramatically reducing the new development’s embodied carbon impact. This paper describes the way the composite steel-framed building’s original structural configuration was developed to accommodate the move to on-screen share trading in the 1980s. It then outlines the reasons that change why change was needed for the 2020s. A key feature of the construction engineering was demolition that disconnected several bays of the original bracing from the surrounding slab, requiring staged construction of temporary stability, and complicated by an unusual decision by the original designers.UNSDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production is stimulating architect, engineers, and clients to propose more extensive reuse of structures and their embodied carbon. This paper describes the construction engineering challenges that these schemes generate for contracting teams, and some of the solutions that can be implemented to preserve and reuse the embodied carbon of composite buildings.

Optimizing Emergency Responses on Water Transport Accidents in Metropolitan Lagos

The study analyzed agricultural product trade data to ascertain the extent of involvement of ECOWAS in community trade between 2013 and 2017. The extent to which members fulfilled the regional trade co-operation policy objective of expanding the volume of intra-community trade is gauged by computed trade indices. Each index measures intra-community trade as a share of total trade, and takes values between 0 and 1. The value is 0, if trade is truly intra-community carried out by all or most members; and 1, if trade is inter-regional, most trade being carried out by few community members. Value of annual index were influenced by cases of none, under or over reporting by member nations. Analysis revealed that intra-community trade occurred more in animal than food products, while vegetable products accounted for less. It is recommended that ECOWAS member nations should seek and utilizing foreign direct investment in development of agricultural sector to improve value chain in addition to increasing and sustaining intra-community trade volume. Besides, reports of intra-community exports and imports of agricultural products should be accurate, and no member should import from other regions where sub-community members are suppliers. FEATURES OF FOREIGN TRADE BETWEEN UKRAINE AND THE USA IN 2015-2023

Objective. The objective of the present study is to analyze the state and identify the features of the development of foreign trade relations between Ukraine and the United States in 2015-2023. Methods. The following methods and techniques of cognition were used: analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction (to substantiate the importance and role of the United States in the development of Ukraine's foreign trade relations), analysis of series of dynamics (to identify trends and patterns of development, peculiarities of the dynamics of foreign trade relations between Ukraine and the United States), graphical (to visualise the peculiarities of the development of foreign trade relations between Ukraine and the United States). Results. Based on the study of the status and peculiarities of development of foreign trade relations between Ukraine and the USA in 2015-2023, the author establishes that despite the fact that the history of development of foreign trade relations between Ukraine and the USA dates back to 1992, during 1992-2023, more than 100 different agreements were concluded between Ukraine and the USA, during the period under analysis, the USA was not the main foreign trade partner of Ukraine - the share of trade with the USA accounted for an average of 7.5% of Ukraine's foreign trade turnover. It is proved that during 2015-2023, foreign trade relations between the countries steadily developed and deepened, which was reflected in the growth of the share of foreign trade between the countries in the total foreign trade of Ukraine by 6.4%. It is established that during 2015-2021, the lion's share of foreign trade turnover between the countries was formed by foreign trade in goods, but starting from 2022 - by foreign trade in services (in 2022, foreign trade in services accounted for 82.1% of foreign trade between Ukraine and the United States, in 2023 - 76.9%). It was determined that in 2015-2023: the rate of growth of the volume of foreign trade in services of Ukraine and the USA was almost 6.5 times higher than the rate of growth of the volume of foreign trade in goods, as of 2023, foreign trade in services significantly exceeded foreign trade in goods in terms of volume; the balance of foreign trade in goods was negative and constantly growing; the coefficient of coverage of imports by exports was characterized by a constant tendency to decrease; the main articles of Ukrainian commodity exports to the USA were products made of cast iron or steel, iron and steel, preparations made from vegetables, fruits, nuts or other parts of plants; imports - means of transport, except railway or tram rolling stock; mineral fuel, petroleum products and products of their distillation; machines and mechanical devices, boilers, nuclear reactors, their parts; the balance of foreign trade in services was both positive (in 2015-2021) and negative (in 2022-2023); the coefficient of coverage of imports by exports significantly decreased by almost 0.93 points; the main articles of Ukrainian export of services to the USA were: air transport services; construction; services related to financial activities; financial services paid directly; auxiliary services in the field of financial activity; services related to patent activity; services in the field of telecommunications, computer and information services; computer services; information services; scientific and technical services; imports of Ukrainian services from the USA were: state and governmental services; auxiliary services in the field of financial activity; services related to financial activities; trade-related services and brokerage services other royalties.

The dollar versus the euro as international reserve currencies

We begin by examining determinants of aggregate foreign exchange reserve holdings by central banks (size of issuing country’s economy and financial markets, ability of the currency to hold value, and inertia). But understanding the determination of reserve holdings probably requires going beyond the aggregate numbers, instead observing individual central bank behavior, including characteristics of the holding country (bilateral trade with the issuing country, bilateral currency peg, and proxies for bilateral exposure to sanctions), in addition to the characteristics of the reserve currency issuer. On a currency-by-currency basis, US dollar holdings are somewhat well explained by several issuer characteristics; but the other currencies are less successfully explained. It may be that the results from currency-by-currency estimation are impaired by insufficient sample size. This consideration offers a motivation for pooling the data across the major currencies and imposing the constraints that reserve holdings are determined in the same way for each currency. In this setting, most economic determinants enter with significance: economic size as measured by GDP, bilateral currency peg, and bilateral trade share. While one geopolitical factor (congruence in voting in the UN) is typically significant in the expected manner (with the exception of the US dollar), the other geopolitical factor (sanctions) does not enter with significance.

PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF FINANCIAL DERIVATIVES MARKET DEVELOPMENT

The article studies the problems and prospects of the financial derivatives market development. Globalizing the economic space contributes to transforming the stock market into the principal source of capital allocation. Still, the current conditions of the derivatives market in Ukraine do not correspond to the needs of the national economy, which requires strengthening the regulation of their activities to ensure the hedging of risks of market participants. The article analyses the dynamics of derivatives trading in the global exchange market, assesses the dynamics of world exchange trading in financial derivatives, and analyses the turnover of OTC derivatives in the EU. It also studies the dynamic changes in the amounts paid under the terms of contracts for derivative securities in the world by maturity, region and industry sector; the dynamics of options and futures trading in the global exchange market. In this analysis, we examine the trading volumes of derivatives within the financial market of Ukraine. We estimate the volume of trading within both exchange and over-the-counter markets, and present the dynamics of exchange contracts as well as the share of financial instrument trading in the securities market. The factors hindering the development of the derivatives market in Ukraine are identified. These factors include legislative shortcomings, the current level of derivatives market infrastructure, and the current state of development of the underlying asset markets. The article also analyses the derivatives market and provides prospects for its development. To ensure the future development of the financial derivatives market in Ukraine, it is essential to take certain measures. These include comprehensive regulation of the derivatives market, ensuring the operation of regulated markets and building their infrastructure, and introducing appropriate instruments to protect participants and hedge risks.

Tiny trades, big questions: Fractional shares

This paper investigates fractional share trading. We develop a latency-based method for identifying a large sample of fractional share trades. We find that high-priced stocks, meme stocks, IPOs, SPACs, and popular retail stocks exhibit considerable numbers of these tiny trades. We surmise that this reflects dollar-based order entry, with many tiny trades being fractional components of larger orders. We show that our fractional trade measure is predictive of future liquidity and volatility, suggesting a new metric to capture the information in retail trades. We identify how data and reporting protocols preclude knowing the extent of fractional share trading, inflate volume data, and provide censured samples of these off-exchange trades.

Silk Road in the aftermath of Arab conquest: Trade routes traversing Azerbaijan

The article summarizes the outcomes of the clash between Khazar Turks and Muslim Arabs in wars for the South Caucasus. More than hundred years of permanent military struggle stabilized the border along Great Caucasus Range and inevitably resulted in a search for partnership options to resume mutually advantageous long-distance trade on Silk Roads. Located on the northern littoral lands of the Caspian the Khazar khaganate occupied important space on the juncture of nomadic Eurasian steppes and lands populated by various northern peoples, Finno-Ugrian and Slavic tribes. Starting from the end of VIII century Scandinavian merchants and warriors emerged in the region claiming for their share in international trade by swords and loads of commercial goods. The article describes the system of trade communications and control established by Khazar khaganate involving various nations to Silk Road trade, as well as analyses magisterial trade routes of the time of Arab-Khazar partnership in trade. Tracking of trade flows and description of trade structure and commodities allow to conclude that magisterial trade routes went traversing the territories of Arran (modern Azerbaijan republic) and the province of Azerbaijan in the north of contemporary Iran. Con­sequently, the gradual economic interconnection, human mobility, rise of local production to serve the interests of long-distance trade and to provide local commodities demanded in the markets of Silk Road geography, generated a start of gradual economic and cultural conve­rgence between two regions of international trade transit of the time considered herein in the publication.

Genotype by year interaction for selected traits in sweet maize (Zea maize L.) hybrids using AMMI model

This study investigated genotype × environment interactions for the stability of expression of four productivity traits (cobs yield, cobs I class trade share, lend of cobs and fulfilment of cobs) of sweet maize hybrids (Zea mays L.). The additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) model was employed to assess genotype × environment interaction. AMMI stability value was used to evaluate both stability and genotype. The genotype selection index was calculated for each hybrid, incorporating both the average trait value and the stability index. Ten sweet maize hybrids were evaluated: Golda, GSS 1453, GSS 3071, GSS 5829, GSS 8529, Overland, Noa, Shinerock, Sindon, and Tessa. Trials were ran conducted over four vegetative seasons at a single location in the Wielkopolska region using replicated field experiments. The AMMI model revealed significant genotypic and environmental effects for all analyzed traits. Based on their superior stability and favorable average trait values, both the Golda cultivar and the GSS 3071 hybrid are recommended for further breeding program inclusion.

IMPACT OF BANK MERGER ON NSE NIFTY: A CASE STUDY ON MERGING OF BANKS IN 2020

Narasimham Committee in the late 1990s recommended consolidation through a process of merging of strong banks. The Committee recommended the closure of the banks those are weaker in comparison to other banks, instead of merging them. The biggest positive aspect of the merging of banks will lead to the formation of banks of scale. There are a large number of banks which are of very small in size in terms of global standards & their growth is restricted by their inability to expand. India needs more global level banks to face global competitiveness. The recent merging of the banks were aimed at addressing this problem. The announcement of merging of the banks by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on 30/08/2019, raised the expectation that it would be the most significant event that the country has witnessed since nationalization. The intention to create banks that could compete with the banks of global level & would also serve the needs of a $ 5 trillion economy by 2025. Keeping in view the above intentions, Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, declared the merging of ten public sector banks into four entities to improve their liquidity, tackling the issues of non performing assets & risk diversification. The present paper aims to explore the impact of the merging of the Banks on NSE Nifty, with respect to Stock returns, Volume of share trading & Volume of share turnover.

Sales of tobacco and nicotine replacement therapy products, especially nicotine pouches, increased in Finland during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aim: Some previous studies suggest that the consumption of tobacco and nicotine products overall declined during the COVID-19 pandemic, but the results are mixed. We investigated tobacco and nicotine product sales in Finland, including the sales of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT). Our particular focus was on nicotine pouches used as NRT. We aimed to evaluate the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sales of tobacco and NRT products in 2020 by comparing the sales to the previous year. Methods: The data were derived from a large sales group (S group) in Finland, representing 46% of the market share in grocery trade in 2020. The gross weekly sales of tobacco (cigarettes, loose tobacco) and NRT (patches, inhalers, tablets, gum and "other", consisting mainly of nicotine pouches) were retrieved from February to December 2020 from 1062 points of sale throughout the country and compared to the same period in 2019. Results: During this period, there was a significant increase in cigarette sales. Moreover, the sales of NRT were significantly higher throughout 2020 compared with 2019. Specifically, the sales of nicotine pouches sold as NRT increased, especially after the travel restrictions in Finland were initiated and the national boundaries closed in the spring of 2020. Conclusions: During the COVID-19 pandemic in Finland, the sales of cigarettes and NRT products increased, especially those of nicotine pouches sold as NRT. Our findings call for further research to reveal the factors leading to this increase and to determine whether the situation is long-standing.

ТОРГОВО-ЭКОНОМИЧЕСКИЕ ОТНОШЕНИЯ РОССИИ И ЕГИПТА

The article analyzes the dynamics and structure of trade between the Russian Federation and the Arab Republic of Egypt. The authors note the positive dynamics of trade turnover between the two countries over a period of more than twenty years, highlighting trends and stages in the development of mutual trade in 2002-2023. Such a long period of time allows us to draw reasonable conclusions. The novelty of the author's approach lies in the fact that in addition to the absolute indicators of Russian-Egyptian trade relations, the article considers relative indicators, such as the share of mutual trade in the foreign trade turnover of the Russian Federation and Egypt, as well as the comparative dynamics of Russian exports to Egypt, imports from Egypt and GDP of our country. The authors show that if the absolute indicators of trade turnover between the two countries are characterized by positive dynamics, then when considering the relative indicators of trade between the two countries, such a trend is not so clearly manifested. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the dynamics of the structure of Russian exports to Egypt and imports from Egypt.
 As a result of the study, the authors conclude that there are quite big problems in the development of Russian-Egyptian trade cooperation. These include the unidirectional nature of these relations and the low level of investment cooperation. In addition, Russian exports prevail in mutual trade, and grain supplies have a significant share in it. The weak diversification of the structure of Russian-Egyptian trade hinders the development of mutual trade between the Russian Federation and Egypt. It is also necessary to take into account the fact that the Arab Republic of Egypt pursues a multi-vector foreign trade policy, in which Russia is far from being the highest priority.

Stock market development: building a risk society since 1688

ABSTRACT Created by speculators in Amsterdam in 1602, and unstable ever since, stock markets have become central to economies globally, despite being recognised as a significant contributor to today’s risk society. History exposes questionable reasons for the stock market’s rise and reveals reversion to a more productive economic framework to be a way of reducing societal risk. The stock market’s spontaneous development by opportunists in London following the 1688 ‘Glorious Revolution’ spread a non-essential, localised, and speculative market to the international political economy. This precipitated London’s first Big Bang: the privatisation of the Bank of England and stock market deregulation, followed by the South Sea Bubble within thirty years. Economists subsequently embedded the market in economic theory. Keynes’ re-definition of ‘investment’ to include share trading began an ontological drift that made stock markets a hallmark of capitalism. Unlike Knight, Keynes’ concern was share-trading risk, and the uncertainty of the unknown future remains an unresolved challenge for risk analysts, speculators, and regulators, their conflicting goals militating against regulation and stability. Re-building the successful capitalist framework that was abandoned as share markets attracted unjustifiable support, remains a viable alternative to continuing centuries of efforts to manage share-trading risks and the uncertainty of an unknowable future.

Growth Acceleration Determinants in East Asia and MENA: Empirical Evidence from Mixed Effect Models

This study is aimed at studying the main factors that determine the process of accelerating economic growth in countries located in East Asia, the Middle East and North Africa between 1996 and 2019. The sample of countries included: Algeria; Bahrain; China; Egypt, Arab Republic; Hong Kong; Indonesia; Iraq; Japan; Jordan; Korea, Republic of; Kuwait; Malaysia; Mauritania; Morocco; Philippines; Qatar; Saudi Arabia; Singapore; Sudan; Thailand; Tunisia; United Arab Emirates; Yemen. The research is based on the methodology of Haussmann, Pritchett and Rodrik (2005), according to which 3 criteria of accelerated economic growth are used: 1) to characterize the process of acceleration itself growth of GDP per capita by 2%; 2) to characterize cases of rapid growth – annual growth rates for eight years are more than 3.5%; 3) to characterize the achievement of sustainable acceleration GDP per capita is greater than the highest level after the onset of the acceleration phase. As the main determinants of accelerated economic growth, the characteristics of institutional quality (the rule of law, control of corruption and the quality of regulation), factors of accumulation (the share of gross accumulation of fixed capital in GDP and characteristics of human capital through the measurement of the duration of education and the profitability of education), the openness of trade ( share of trade to GDP) and natural resources (share of revenues from natural resources to GDP). The research was carried out using Probit, Logit and Tobit models. Logit and Probit modeling made it possible to assess the impact on the acceleration of economic growth: changes in human capital as insignificantly positive; trade openness – as a minor positive, changes in natural resources as a significant positive, increase in the share of investment in GDP – as the largest positive. An increase in institutional quality does not lead to an increase in the chances of the studied countries (the rule of law index has a slight positive effect, the corruption control index has a slight negative effect, the only positive effect that deserves attention concerns the regulation quality index). The results of Tobit modeling demonstrate a statistically significant positive impact of institutional quality, regulatory quality, rule of law, investment and natural resources on the acceleration of economic growth. Thus, the acceleration of economic growth observed in the countries of East Asia, the Middle East and North Africa is a direct result of successful policies aimed at improving institutional quality, promoting investment and harnessing the positive impact of natural resources.
