Simpang Ketenong Village, Kerkap District, is classified as a self-sufficient village, with the characteristics that it has started using communication tools and technology, is not isolated and has fairly smooth traffic routes between villages and cities. (Saputera et al., 2021) Service is a process, this process produces a product in the form of a service, which is then provided to customers. Good service will also have a good impact on customers in the form of customer satisfaction, in line with findings in the field that the local village community and youth have begun to understand the importance of technology for convenience in daily work and can even support careers in the future. Along with the current development of communication technology, it has also encouraged village officials and youth in Simpang Ketenong village to be able to understand and operate computers to make work easier, both for village administration and other needs. Referring to the situation analysis above, the service team together with partners justified that the priority problems experienced by partners and the priorities agreed to be resolved were related to: the lack of skill of village officials and Simpang Ketenong Village Youth in operating computers, especially in typing and lack of understanding of how to use them. excel. Through this PKM program the team wants to contribute to providing skills to village officials and youth in the Simpang Ketenong Village area, Kerkap District, North Bengkulu Regency to be proficient in using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel applications. Based on the partner's problems, the solution that will be provided in this activity is to hold Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel Operation Training, then an evaluation will be held of village officials and local teenagers will be able to be competent in the training process that has been carried out. The targets of this Community Service are time efficiency during service, reducing data errors in reporting the performance of village officials, being able to store village databases simply, increasing knowledge for village officials and youth so that they can learn about information systems through computer media.

IMPLEMENTING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE TO EMPOWER FARMER WOMEN IN MANAGING SUSTAINABLE FOOD IN THE MANDIRI VILLAGE

In order to create the socioeconomic conditions that will lead to self-sustaining and sustainable food security, it is crucial to analyze community empowerment models, particularly those that empower women, when evaluating the success of the food self-sufficient village program. In order to empower women in the management of sustainable, food-independent communities, research is being done to examine the state of food security, the role of institutions, and local knowledge. Survey techniques involving observation and interviews are included in the methodologies and data analysis. The findings demonstrated that the adequacy rate at the research site and the empowerment of farm women organizations in the area of family food security were not yet at their best. Some signs that empowerment has not been as effective as it could have been include: 1) respondents' education is typically dominated by elementary school level, which significantly affects food patterns and their presentations; 2) land productivity is limited (0.5 ha) and dependent on rainwater; and 3) the majority of family expenditure is food expenditure and provides less than enough calories (2100 calories). The Nagari Institutional's inadequate assistance and its local wisdom have a secondary impact on this problem. The women farmers' group's household food security status demonstrates that the empowerment of women farmers is not yet at its best, making independent food management unsustainable.

시민참여를 통한 지속가능한 에너지 자립마을 조성방안

Various efforts have sought to mitigate climate change in recent decades. In order to slow down global warming, fossil fuels need to be replaced with clean energy such as the new and renewable energy. In addition, technologies increasing energy efficiency need to be developed. The energy self-sufficient village project is one measure for reducing fossil fuel consumption in developed countries. The goal of this study is to identify strategies for sustainable energy self-sufficient village to effectively mitigate climate change. Expert surveys were conducted, and the Delphi method was used to find key strategies. Results showed that providing education on energy self-sufficient village projects to the public is the first step to improve awareness of the importance of these projects. The second priority is supplying economic benefits to participants. The third priority is to develop a new business model through the project. The fourth priority is to develop state-of-the-art technologies, and the fifth is to encourage cooperation among government, industry, and research institutes. Results from this study can be used as basic data to establish strategies for effectively implementing energy self-sufficient village projects and other similar projects to mitigate climate change.

ANALISIS KAUSALITAS DANA DESA, PEMBANGUNAN INFRASTRUKTUR, DAN KESEJAHTERAAN MASYARAKAT DI KECAMATAN GONDANGREJO KABUPATEN KARANGANYAR

All villages in Gondangrejo District are classified as self-sufficient villages, have a well-known agricultural sector, have high-quality industrial areas, are quite large, and function as economic developers. However, because the carrying capacity of infrastructure is very low due to the absorption capacity used for handling Covid-19, many roads have been damaged and connections between villages have not been tendered. This study aims to observe the pattern of causality between infrastructure, village funds and the level of community welfare in Gondangrejo District, Karanganyar Regency in 2017-2021. This study uses the Granger Causality Test method. In the Granger Causality test, the data requirements used are stationary data. The results of the Granger Causality Test state that there is a one-way causality relationship between the level of welfare affecting village funds and a two-way causality between village funds causing or influencing infrastructure and vice versa. Based on these results, it is hoped that the village government can pay more attention and study more in the management of village funds. Further review needs to be carried out in carrying out the infrastructure development needed by the community, so that the absorbed village funds will produce infrastructure that is directly useful for the economic activities of the villagers.

Sustainable Rural Development through Renewable Energy Technologies: Identification of Potential Methods to Increase Rural Incomes

Renewable energy is being promoted in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)1 as a potential new source of jobs and rural development. Governments in most nations have poured vast sums of public funds into renewable energy development. But how do these policies and investments affect the economy? Is it true that renewable energy may aid in the development of rural economies? This study examines the answers to these questions. We aim at determining the impact that economically cleaner energy options can play in reducing post-harvest losses in India’s rural communities. The food supply chain, energy supplies, and the environment are all being strained by the ever-expanding population. Post-harvest losses, on the other hand, pose a threat to the crop and its products. We have identified how post harvesting losses can be reduced by clean energy options and hence can lead to sustainable and self-sufficient village economies in India.

The results of this research budget comes from the state BUDGET, which named Dana Desa (DD) should be maximized in order to the construction of the village to be better. Realizing Gedangan Village as an energy self-sufficient village through biogas-electric energy conversion

Gedangan village, a dairy farming center, has many biogas reactors that are used for cooking and lighting petromax lamps. Previous community service activities resulted in the construction of three Biogas Power Plants (PLT-Biogas) capable of producing 15 kW of power but which were not fully utilized. Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) is the approach method used to actively involve the community in the program. To optimize the PLT-Biogas, the service team rearranges the equipment and replaces the UPS with an inverter and battery charger before constructing a street lighting electricity network that can be used by the entire community. The next step is to provide operational and maintenance training for the long-term use of PLT-Biogas. As a result, the initial stage of electrical energy is currently used for street lighting in two hamlets, as well as freezers and water pumps, with a potential savings of 2,775.6 kWh per year. By converting biogas energy to electricity, this community service activity can help to kickstart the realization of an energy self-sufficient village.

ROLE OF MEDICINAL PLANTS IN RURAL SOCIETY OF INDIA

There is a famous saying in Upanishads called SARVESANTU NIRAMAYA means may no one suffers from illness. Medical plants can prevent and cure many diseases and also boosts immunity which is very essential in COVID era. Indian farmers are suffering from poverty, debt traps, health and nutritional issues. Rural farmers by growing medical plants can promote health and nutrition status of the entire population as well as their own socio economic and health status. In this paper we have discussed what are medical plants, how they aid rural India, their spillover effects to entire population problems, solutions, best practices for their cultivation. By tapping the potential of medical plants in rural India, we can make our county ATMANIRBHAR and self-sufficient villages that can realize the dream of Mahatma Gandhi.

MODEL PERENCANAAN PROGRAM AKSI DESA MANDIRI PANGAN DI DESA KEBON GUNUNG, PURWOREJO

Food self-sufficient Village Program is an action program to reduce food insecurity and nutrition through the utilization of resources, institutions and local rural wisdom. Ths research was conducted because of the difference of success among the beneficiary villages, despite having the same top down program. The objectives of this study are 1) To examine the cause of unsuccessful for Food Self-sufficient Village Action Program in Kebon Gunung Village; 2) Formulate the appropriate program planning approach for the people of Kebon Gunung Village. This research method is qualitative with sipported quantitative data. Determining the location and selection of respondents using purposive method. Analysis method using Miles and Huberman model through three stages, namely 1) reduction of data; 2) Presentation of data; 3) Verify. The results of the research indicate that 1) Food Self-sufficient Village Action Program has not been successful due to a) Limited budget, so that the organizers can not carry out continuous assistance and haver never conducted training for beneficiaries; b) There is no coordination between the facilitator with village apparatus in determining Poor Households, so that the beneficiaries are selected not based on criteria but directly elected by the Village Head; c) The facilitator locks the socialization of the Village Food Team task, so it has not worked and there is no village food barn yet; d) The facilitator has not provided any socialization regarding the establishment of the Village Finance Institution, so it has not been established; e) The facilitator has not been actively engaged in integration with the relevant agencies (stakeholders); f) Beneficiaries less, so there has not been productive efforts. 2) Approach Planning of the right program is top down with the assistance because the people of Kebon Gunung village (beneficiaries) is a transitional society. From Community Capital to Sustainable Rural Livelihood: Exploring Green Development Program in Masoso, Indonesia

Community capital has approached to formulate a sustainable rural livelihood. As an agreement in the world development challenges, it have been designed in the framework of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that was supported by the United Nations as a global effort to attain 169 targets, such as natural resources management for sustainable rural development. This article aims to analyze community empowerment on green development to strengthen energy self-sufficient villages based on the community capital. The method in this research used the qualitative approach that was used in order to obtain a comprehensive understanding of all phenomena that occurred in the study of Masoso village, Indonesia. The result of the discussion found that the implementation of green development through micro-hydro power plants supported by the village fund, and has contributed for local community prosperity. This study concludes that the adherence of the community to traditional institutions and local wisdom needed to preserve as the basis of community collectivity to conserve natural resources. New opportunities of local economic activities on integrated agriculture could promote socio-economic development in the modern era through strengthening of farmer groups and community development.

Cartography And Management Of Food-Insecure Areas In Garut

The objective of this research was to investigate the situation of food insecurity and its handling in Garut District, West Java, Indonesia. An analysis based on the national food insecurity indicators and the Food Insecurity Atlas has identified food-insecure areas, resulting in nine indicators reflecting the three pillars of food security, i.e.,food availability, access to food, and use of food. Results on food insecurity status show that priority 1 belongs to the nine villages under study 1. The local government has imposed five policies to address food insecurity, i.e., 1) setting up a monthly program called the Food and Nutrition Security System, 2) direct assistance in the form of food staples, 3) developing the Food Security and Vulnerability Atlas, 4) improving food access, and 5) developing self-sufficient villages. These attempts are quite efficient. After three years, more areas have moved from Priority 1 to Priority 3 in food security.

Local wisdom in environment conservation: A study on a conservation and energy self-sufficient village

Farmer group of Bendrong Hamlet has conducted a series of reforestation activities to cope with landslides and secure the clean water supply to all villages. Although the attempt has run well, many problems have begun to arise, such as people’s land being sold. The buyers are outsiders, thereby deviating from the specified principles of conservation and people’s awareness of conservation activity decreasing. These problems should be solved immediately, recalling Malang Regency is vulnerable to landslide disaster incidence. The research objectives were to reconstruct the conservation conceptualization model and improve the community-based conservation model using a qualitative research method with a case study approach and interactive data analysis technique. The conservation undertaken by people in Bendrong Hamlet divides into two: green and energy conservations. Green conservation conduct through people planting forests with forestry plants and agroforestry plants below it—energy conservation conduct by processing cow manure into biogas as alternative energy. Besides, the conservation activity is intended to be intended for environmental factors and intended as an economic factor obtained from green and energy conservation activities. Social institutions’ participation, legitimacy, and government, private, and community’s participation, either individually or in the group, are essential to the performance of conservation activity as the attempt of conserving natural resource; also, economic activity should be included in the conservation activity to result in an effective and sustainable community conservation activity.

Pengelolaan Desa Mandiri Pangan Berbasis Ekonomi Lokal Untuk Mewujudkan Ketahanan Pangan Kota Batu

The Batu City Food Self-Reliance Program was motivated by problems, the number of households with poor families above 30% according to the survey results of the Batu City BPS Team. The establishment of the food self-sufficient village program. The aim of the food self-sufficient village program has a goal to overcome poverty and reduce the level of food insecurity so that it will improve the welfare of the community and business activities are able to create income and employment opportunities that as a driver of economic growth for the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of the local economy-based independent village food in realizing food security in the city of Batu and its problems in trying to achieve food security of the poor in Batu City. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The theory used in this study is the local economy that was coined by Blakely and Bradshaw and management to realize food security in Batu City. Whereas in its management the Batu City Food Security Service uses methods which include Planning, Organizing, Implementing and Evaluating. In its implementation there are several stages that must be done including. The first stage is the preparation stage. Second is the growth stage, the third stage of development and finally the independence stage. Currently in Batu the implementation has gone through the four stages of the program, namely conducting a sustainable program for the food self-sufficient village program.

Optimalisasi Pengelolaan Pertanian Terpadu Guna Mendukung Terwujudnya Desa Mandiri Energi di Desa Sokawera, Kabupaten Banyumas

Most residents in Sokawera Village work as farmers. Population income figures are relatively low, averaging less than IDR 10,000/capita/day. Sokawera village has local potentials that have not been optimally managed, namely independent cattle farms and smallholder coconut plantations. The aim of this activity is to empower the community to optimize the management of eco-friendly integrated agriculture sourced from local potential to support the realization of an energy self-sufficient village. The strategy used in this activity is through the PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) approach through the methods of education, training, demonstration plots, and assistance and are equipped with learning techniques while working (learning by doing). This activity began with the implementation of extension activities and transfer of knowledge about the benefits of eco-friendly integrated agriculture, training on the making and utilization of local resources to support the optimization of the management of eco-friendly integrated farming systems such as cattle dung into biogas, biogas waste into liquid and solid organic fertilizers, and coconut shell waste into liquid smoke biopesticides, training in making demonstrations and plots (demonstration plots) of healthy vegetable cultivation, training in processing local agricultural products into value-added products, and training in product marketing strategies through the design and manufacture of attractive product packaging. This activity provides knowledge and skills to the target community regarding the management of local potential such as cow dung waste and coconut shell to optimize environmentally friendly integrated agriculture. This activity is also a starting point for the realization of an energy self-sufficient village. Biogas which is processed from livestock manure is used successfully to replace LPG.

Perception and Attitude of Community towards the Development of Nyamplung in Patutrejo Village, Purworejo District

Global awareness of the energy crisis and the environmental impacts related to fossil fuels have driven the use of alternative energy sources such as biofuels. Nyamplung is one type of plant suitable for biofuel production. This study aims to determine perception and attitude community towards the development of nyamplung. The study was conducted in April - July 2018 in Patutrejo Village, Purworejo District, Central Java. Data collection was carried out by interviewing the community involved in the Self-Sufficient Village program in 2009, namely farmers, extension workers, officials in the Forestry Service Branch and officials in Perum Perhutani. The data obtained were tabulated and analyzed using a Likert Scale. The results showed that perceptions and attitudes of the community towards the development of nyamplung are as follows: First, nyamplung is suitable to be developed for environmental functions, namely as a windbreak, which protects agricultural land near the sea to remain productive; Second, nyamplung is not profitable to be developed for biofuel business because the price of nyamplung seeds is low and the processing of nyamplung seeds requires a modern machine; and Third, the development of nyamplung for biofuels does not have the support of the community. They are not willing to plant nyamplung on their own land, are not interested in processing nyamplung seeds for biofuel and are not interested in collecting and selling nyamplung seeds.

Sustainable Community Empowerment Through the Program of Self-Sufficient Village of Non-Rice Food in Raanan Baru

Raanan Baru Village has potential in the field of agricultural food crops such as lowland rice, field rice, corn, peanuts, cassava, sweet potatoes, and taro. This potential is less manageable to the maximum because of various problems, such as: cropping systems are still traditional and hereditary, food production is still low, farmers are lack in innovation and limited in creation of agricultural products, non-rice food plants grow wild and not cultivated commercially, farmers’ knowledge related to market access and opportunities is limited, and many other problems. To address these problems, a community service, Program Pemberdayaan Desa Mitra (PPDM) scheme has been carried out for three years (2017-2019) with a focus on developing Raanan Baru Village as a non-rice food independent village. Methods of implementation include: socialization, technical guidance, training, pilot projects, and workshops. The applications of science and technology includes: techniques for cultivating non-rice food crops, improving the quality and diversification of non-rice food crop products, and introducing the basics of entrepreneurship for farmer group partners. Implementation of the activity showed an increase in the competitiveness of non-rice farming products (cassava), an improvement in the existence of natural resources, and an increase in community welfare.

Potential of developing an energy self-sufficient village through mini hydro powerplant technology

Nowadays, electricity is one of the most important need for the human life. However, in developing countries, there are some areas that are not fully covered by the electrical power. The high cost of distribution is one of the reasons behind the problem. More efforts are needed to distribute the electricity to a remote area, such as a far mountainous region. On the other hand, there is a potential to provide electrical power from a river through the development of mini-hydro powerplant technology. In this study, potential of water power in a mountainous region of West Java Province, Indonesia, is measured. The measurements were taken in three different places of river, divided by the distance from a waterfall. As a result, it is found that the potential power obtained from the rivers are ranged between 17-137 kW, which is enough for lighting up 37-304 houses, indicating there is a potential of developing an energy-sufficient village through mini-hydro powerplant technology.

EVALUASI PENGEMBANGAN KAWASAN AFIRMATIF MENUJU DESA MANDIRI

ABSTRACTThe focus of this research is to evaluate the development of affirmative area to independent village (study of rural agroforestry development in Pangalengan Regency, Bandung Regency West Java Province), by assessing how successful the rural development program and the role of Government, local government, village government, private and community together, integrated, and multy sector in an effort to accelerate and improve the quality of service, development, and empowerment of rural community to independent village by using six evaluation policy criteria according to William N Dunn, as material for improvement of program implementation in the next year according to planning stage . The method of this research is to use the combined method of qualitative descriptive, inductive, and data collection through interview, observation, documentation and Forum Group Discussion (FGD) conducted in the office and location of the area to know the extent of the implementation of rural development. The results showed that, by considering the results of the evaluation (On -Going) almost meet the criteria of effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, responsiveness, while the criteria of smoothing and precision has not been met optimally, and so far only focus on infrastructure activities have not touched the program of quality improvement Human resources and empowermentcommunity. it can be concluded that there is a better development of the village as a result of the implementation of development programs in the first and second year, only not yet reached the achievement of the target of the village status independently.

Membangun Kemandirian Ekonomi Desa melalui Peningkatan Daya Saing Potensi Kekayaan Alam Perdesaan

<em>As many as 83% of Indonesia's territory is rural. Each region has natural resource potential. However, it is still rarely managed properly. If managed properly, it has the potential to create economic independence from each of these villages. Currently, Indonesia has a total of 70,611 villages. Of the total villages, 49.9% or 32,379 of them are underdeveloped villages. In Central Java, currently there are 40.5% of disadvantaged villages or 3,467 villages out of 8,564 villages. Village empowerment provides great benefits for the welfare of the lives of rural communities. The concept of OVOP (one village one product) is one of the concepts or models of village self- sufficiency. Research is needed to explore the potential of a village and how its development planning strategy. In the process of development, villages are empowered to be economically independent and their people's welfare will increase significantly. The study aims to identify resources, strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat factors, analyze the position of competitiveness, and formulate strategies to realize the Sunyalangu as an economically self-sufficient village. Data collection methods in this study used Secondary Data Review (SDR), Direct Observation, Semi-Structured Interview (SSI), and Focus Group Discussion (FGD), while the sample of the informants in this study were determined purposively by certain criteria or guidelines.</em>
