SMART APPROACH FOR TOURISM

Today, there are so many tourism applications such as Airbnb, Booking.com, and Expedia that allow the booking of accommodation, flights, and activities; however, these platforms often lack the personalization in user experience and seamless integration of services. Many of these focus on either lodging or travel arrangement, thus not filling the gap in holistic travel planning. Our proposed tourism app is meant to enhance user experience through the provision of a single platform that allows users to book destinations, hotels, transportation, and events all in one place with an emphasis on personalization. The app will be flexible for both individuals and families, thus catering to different travel needs. Unlike the existing apps, we shall implement an easy interface which will simplify the booking process and integrate a robust user profile management system for storage of preference and previous bookings. Additionally, our app shall include a secure payment gateway that supports various payment methods to enable fluid transaction experience. Focusing on user-centric design, personalized recommendations, and comprehensive service integration, our app will be the most attractive in the competitive tourism market and provide a more cohesive and enjoyable travel planning experience for users. EFFECT OF DIGITAL FINANCIAL SERVICES ON LIQUIDITY OF THE NIGERIAN CAPITAL MARKET

Liquidity is vital for efficient capital markets, allowing assets to be traded swiftly without significant price fluctuations. However, the Nigerian capital market faces liquidity challenges that impede smooth trading and investor attraction. This study examines the effect of digital financial services on market liquidity. Using an ex post facto design, quarterly time series data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Statistical Bulletin and the Nigerian capital market (2014–2023) were analyzed via regression with EViews software. Results revealed that digital financial services have positive but insignificant effect on liquidity of Nigeria capital market at a 5% significance level. The study concludes that digital financial services is crucial for enhancing liquidity of Nigerian Capital Market. It recommends that management of Nigerian capital market and policymakers should focus on improving digital financial services by increasing their adoption and integration. This can be achieved through investments in digital infrastructure, such as broadband and secure payment systems, and by implementing digital literacy campaigns to educate market participants on using digital platforms.

The primary objective is to explore how behavioral analytics can be employed to identify patterns of fraudulent activities, detect suspicious behavior, and mitigate risks associated with money laundering. By examining various behavioral analytics methodologies, such as machine learning, data mining, and anomaly detection, the study highlights their effectiveness in real-time monitoring and decision-making for AML compliance. Predictors of the Likelihood of Continuous Usage of Online Shopping Post-COVID-19

Government’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak resulting in imposed socialdistancing measures, lockdowns and closing of economies triggered the acceleration of e-commerce growth globally. Driven by necessity consumers shifted from traditional to online shopping, but the main question of interest to practitioners and researchers is: Will this changed behaviour last post-COVID-19? We aim in this study to respond and contribute to the insufficient understanding of the factors that can predict the likelihood of continuous usage of online shopping post-COVID-19. To achieve this goal, we use survey data from 2.082 respondents, collected in North Macedonia during the period of social distancing measures (November 2020). We explore the associated predictors of the likelihood of online shopping continuity behaviour post-COVID-19, employing binary logit regression. We found that age, data protection and conventional motives are not significant predictors while gender, employment status, online shopping frequency, online shopping experience, payment security and commencement of online triggered by COVID-19 showed as statistically significant predictors of the likelihood of continuous online shopping post-COVID-19.

The rapid technological advancements in the globalization era have significantly influenced various aspects of human life, including economic transactions. The adoption of digital wallets has transformed traditional cash-based transactions into more efficient and secure digital payment methods. This study explores the role of youth as facilitators in promoting the use of digital wallets, which are increasingly integral to Indonesia's digital economy. Youth, as active users and contributors to technological advancements, play a vital role in educating and guiding older generations in the adoption of these tools. The study uses a literature review approach to analyze the impact of digital wallets on Indonesia's economic landscape. Findings highlight that digital wallets offer numerous benefits, such as transaction efficiency, enhanced security, and ease of financial management. Factors driving the shift to digital payments include globalization, technological advancements, and external events like the COVID-19 pandemic, which accelerated digital adoption. Digital wallets contribute to reducing cash circulation, controlling inflation, and fostering economic resilience through cost-effective financial operations and support for small businesses via QRIS integration. Youth act as enablers of this transition by leveraging their technological fluency to facilitate older generations’ adaptation to digital tools. Furthermore, the involvement of youth in entrepreneurial activities utilizing digital platforms strengthens economic growth and positions Indonesia competitively in the global digital economy. This study underscores the importance of intergenerational collaboration and the strategic role of youth in accelerating digital transformation and fostering sustainable economic development in Indonesia.

This paper explores UX/UI design principles in developing web applications for intelligent parking systems, emphasizing their importance in addressing these challenges. Web-based intelligent parking systems provide real-time parking information and allocation, reducing congestion and emissions while enhancing driver convenience. Effective design aims to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces, incorporating interactive city maps, dynamic markers, simplified parking allocation, secure payment systems, and robust data protection. Integrating navigation with public transport further enriches the user experience by offering optimal routes. Peran Bank Syariah Dalam Digitalisasi Pembayaran Berbasis Qris Pada Minimarket Pondok Al Fitrah Di Era 4.0

This research explores the role of Islamic banks in supporting the digitization of QRIS-based payments at the Al-Fithrah Islamic Boarding School Minimarket in the Industry 4.0 era. In the context of the transformation of the banking sector through advanced information technology, QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) has emerged as an efficient and secure payment method, facilitating faster and more practical non-cash transactions. This study uses a qualitative approach with interviews and documentation as data collection methods. The research results show that the implementation of QRIS in the Al-Fithrah Islamic Boarding School minimarket is effective in facilitating financial circulation and increasing operational efficiency. The use of QRIS also supports financial system transparency and provides easy access for consumers. In conclusion, digitalization through QRIS has had a positive impact on increasing minimarket performance and income, showing that Islamic banks have an important role in encouraging digital financial innovation and inclusion.

Decentralized Payment Framework for Low-Connectivity Areas Using Ethereum Blockchains

This paper presents a pioneering analytical framework for a secure payment system leveraging blockchain technology tailored to regions with suboptimal network connectivity. Contemporary payment mechanisms utilizing Ethereum are predominantly optimized for areas with robust network infrastructure, neglecting regions with less connectivity. To address this gap, the proposed model integrates novel security attributes and employs an analytical method to design a decentralized payment system. The framework facilitates communication between low-connectivity zones and Internet service providers through auxiliary nodes, creating a local blockchain network for residents, merchants, and auditors. A mathematical model quantifies operational costs, transaction processing, and synchronization of auxiliary nodes, ensuring a resilient and secure payment architecture. A unique aspect of the proposed approach is its robustness against auditor outages and network variability, coupled with an empirical analysis of incentive structures for auditors' block validation activities. Moreover, it delineates the minimum requirements for secure transaction completion. Empirical findings showed a significant improvement in system efficiency, including a 79% reduction in block time, a 28% increase in transaction throughput, a 30% decrease in energy consumption, a 68% shorter confirmation time, a 63% reduction in execution time, a 46% increase in block production rate, and 82% reduced network variability. This study's significant contribution lies in introducing a sustainable, cost-effective, and secure payment system for regions with inadequate network services.

The intersection of digital safety and financial literacy: Mitigating financial risks in the digital economy

As the digital economy continues to expand, individuals and businesses alike face an increasing range of financial risks, from cybercrime to online fraud. The intersection of digital safety and financial literacy is essential in addressing these risks and ensuring individuals can navigate the complexities of modern financial systems securely. This paper examines the growing need for financial literacy in the context of digital safety, focusing on how individuals can protect themselves from financial threats in the digital economy. It explores the role of digital security measures, such as encryption, secure payment systems, and multi-factor authentication, in safeguarding financial transactions and personal data. Simultaneously, it emphasizes the importance of financial education in equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills to recognize and mitigate online financial risks, such as phishing scams, identity theft, and fraudulent investment schemes. By analysing the current state of digital financial literacy, this paper highlights the gaps in knowledge that leave individuals vulnerable to financial exploitation in the digital space. Development of Online Auction System Using Greedy Algorithm Method Based on Model-View-Controller (MVC)

This research develops an online auction system utilizing the Django framework and Greedy algorithm to optimize the bidding process, addressing challenges in traditional auction systems such as geographical limitations, lack of transparency, and manual processes prone to errors. The study employs an Agile methodology with a Scrum approach, implementing a Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture to separate business logic, presentation, and data management. The development of the auction application involves planning to identify system requirements, designing the architecture, implementing the backend/frontend, testing features and algorithms, deploying to the server, and conducting evaluation and adjustments based on feedback. Results demonstrate that the use of Django accelerates development and enhances system security, while the implementation of the Greedy algorithm successfully optimizes real-time bidding and winner selection processes. Solution for Public Smart Dispenser Using Digital Payment Based on the Fingerprint Minutiae Algorithm

Technological advancements have significantly focused on secure and efficient digital payments. In the context of Public Smart Dispensers (PSDs), using authentication and verification in payment transactions is crucial to address security concerns, enhance transaction efficiency, and provide a better user experience. This study employs minutiae algorithms for the fingerprint identification and verification process. Fingerprint identification utilizes the crossing number method, while fingerprint verification uses a validation score. If the validation score exceeds the threshold of >80, fingerprint verification is considered successful; conversely, verification is deemed unsuccessful if the validation score is <80. Through testing, biometrics as a payment method was conducted 100 times, resulting in an accuracy rate of 94% with an identification response time of approximately two or three seconds. The research findings demonstrate the practicality of implementing fingerprint biometric payment methods with minutiae algorithms on Public Smart Dispenser payment systems in the field of digital payments and technology. This enables fast and efficient transactions, significantly reducing the risk of fund misuse. Consequently, users can easily access water through Public Smart Dispensers, underscoring the real-world applicability and relevance of this solution. Implementing this technology can enhance user comfort and security while expediting the transaction process, which is crucial for public use. Therefore, this research makes a significant contribution to the advancement of fingerprint-based payment technology on public smart dispensers.

This project presents an e-commerce platform built on blockchain technology, aiming to address the challenges of traditional online marketplaces, such as fraud, data breaches, and intermediaries' fees. Effective parking solutions become increasingly important as urban areas increase because of wasted space, time-consuming searches, and traffic congestion. By utilizing cutting edge technologies to improve parking management and user experience, the Smart Vehicle Parking System (SVPS) tackles these issues. To deliver dynamic solutions, SVPS combines sophisticated algorithms, sensor networks, and real-time data. Parking space sensors track occupancy and transmit data to a central system, where machine learning maximizes space distribution and directs vehicles to open spaces. This smart parking system is software and hardware based. Different algorithms are used to find vacant slots using machine learning and deep learning. IR sensors, RFID, Servomotors and ESP 32 microcontrollers and Internet of things are useful to find vacant slots in real time signal processing. In traditional method it is difficult to search free space, and this method is time consuming, Smart parking system overcome this problem with new technology and improve parking management system. The rapid growth of tourism on Siargao Island has heightened the demand for efficient and accessible accommodations. However, local homestay providers predominantly rely on manual booking processes, which are often time-consuming, lack transparency, and limit both visibility and revenue potential. This study introduces SiargaoStayFinder, a digital platform designed to centralize accommodation options and streamline the booking experience for tourists while enhancing operational efficiency for providers. Using a mixed-methods approach, this research gathered quantitative data from tourists and qualitative insights from homestay providers to assess key needs. Findings indicate a strong demand for features like real-time availability, secure payment options, and user reviews. The system was developed through a structured process that included requirements gathering, system design, implementation, testing, and deployment. The final platform integrates a user-friendly frontend (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with a secure backend (PHP, MySQL), ensuring smooth and efficient data interactions.
