A comprehensive and functional approach is built in cloud computing, which can be used by cloud users to exchange information. Cloud service providers (CSPs) can transfer through server services through powerful data centres to cloud users. Data is protected through authentication of cloud users and CSPs can have outsourced data file sharing security assurance. The continuing change in cloud users, especially unauthenticated users or third parties poses a critical problem in ensuring privacy in data sharing. Proposal for a Secure Data Sharing and Processing in Cloud Applications for Healthcare Domain

Information Technology (IT) services have become an inherent component in almost all sectors. Similarly, the health sector has been recently integrating IT to meet the growing demand for medical data exchange and storage. Currently, cloud has become a real hosting alternative for traditional on-permise software. In this model, not only do health organizations have access to a wide range of services but most importantly they are charged based on the usage of these cloud applications. However, especially in the healthcare domain, cloud computing deems challenging as to the sensitivity of health data. This work aims at improving access to medical data and securely sharing them across healthcare professionals, allowing real-time collaboration. From these perspectives, they propose a hybrid cryptosystem based on AES and Paillier to prevent the disclosure of confidential data, as well as computing encrypted data. Unlike most other solutions, the proposed framework adopts a proxy-based architecture to tackle some issues regarding privacy concerns and access control. Subsequently, this system typically guarantees that only authorized users can view or use specific resources in a computing environment. To this aim, they use eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) standard to properly design and manage access control policies. In this study, they opt for the (Abbreviated Language for Authorization) ALFA tool to easily formulate XACML policies and define complex rules. The simulation results show that the proposal offers simple and efficient mechanisms for the secure use of cloud services within the healthcare domain. Consequently, this framework is an appropriate method to support collaboration among all entities involved in medical information exchange.

Broadcast Proxy Reencryption Based on Certificateless Public Key Cryptography for Secure Data Sharing

Broadcast proxy reencryption (BPRE), which combines broadcast encryption (BE) and proxy reencryption (PRE), is a technology used for the redistribution of data uploaded on the cloud to multiple users. BPRE reencrypts data encrypted by the distributor and then uploads it to the cloud into a ciphertext that at a later stage targets multiple recipients. As a result of this, flexible data sharing is possible for multiple recipients. However, various inefficiencies and vulnerabilities of the BE, such as the recipient anonymity problem and the key escrow problem, also creep into BPRE. Our aim in this study was to address this problem of the existing BPRE technology. The partial key verification problem that appeared in the process of solving the key escrow problem was solved, and the computational efficiency was improved by not using bilinear pairing, which requires a lot of computation time.

A Generator Based Polynomial with Secret Encryption Scheme for Secure Data Sharing and Privacy in Multi-Party/Federated-Cloud Computation

Now a days exploring and analyzing or mining data in various ways give insights into future for invention and plays a critical role in decision making. For accurate analytical assertion of data, accurate results is essential. So hiding data and at the same time preserving data privacy is necessary to protect externals from attacks. An successful process for sharing sensitive information for data processing, validation and publication should then be deducted. In this paper Polynomial Based Encryption Secret Sharing Scheme (PBESSS) for Multi-Party mechanism is proposed that allows multiple parties to exchange secret data between them at the same time secret data is encrypted so as to protect from untrusted parties. Each party will have stronger protection by selected own polynomial with primitive root number ‘generator’ and the secret data will be in cryptic form and it can be found by each party after final computation of polynomials. This multi-party mechanism can be applied to federated cloud for computation securely.

Secure Data Sharing in Cloud Computing Systems: Techniques and Applications

Furthermore, the study investigates safe data sharing applications in a variety of industries, including healthcare, banking, education, government, retail, manufacturing, legal, and non-profit. These examples show how secure data sharing can improve cooperation, efficiency, and trust in a variety of industries. Secure data sharing in cloud computing platforms is critical, and firms must employ adequate security measures to protect their data. Organizations may ensure that their data is secure, available only to authorized individuals, and used to promote cooperation, efficiency, and trust by implementing the methodologies and applications discussed in this paper.

Secure Data Sharing With Lightweight Computation in E-Health

Edge computing provides users with nearby services, promotes the development of the Internet of Things and transforms the mode of traditional electronic medical system that improves the speed and accuracy of medical diagnosis. However, edge computing has introduced new security challenges, such as the difficulty in applying standard encryption algorithms because of the limited computing capability of devices on the edge and concerns of privacy leakage. In this article, we propose a data access scheme by employing a lightweight attribute-based encryption (ABE) to address the security weaknesses of edge computing for e-health. Our novel modular exponential outsourcing algorithm outsources the shared data to the untrusted edge server and verifies the correctness of the returned results while achieving a lightweight computational load. The proposed Mask Algorithm along with blind pairs conceals the bases and exponents of the encrypted data, thus preserving the privacy of sensitive data in the process of outsourced computing. Security analysis and performance evaluation confirmed the security and efficiency of the proposed method.

Secure Data Sharing and Customized Services for Intelligent Transportation Based on a Consortium Blockchain

In view of the security risks and centralized structure of traditional intelligent transportation system, we propose a novel scheme of secure data sharing and customized services based on the consortium blockchain (DSCSCB). The ciphertext-policy attribute-based proxy re-encryption algorithm has the function of keyword searching by dividing the key into an attribute key and a search key, which not only solves the problem that proxy re-encryption algorithm cannot retrieve data, but also realizes data sharing and data forwarding. Moreover, the algorithm effectively controls the access permission of data, and provides a secure communication environment for the vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET). Service sectors, such as insurance companies, the traffic police and maintenance suppliers, obtain the corresponding ciphertext and then apply the smart contract to provide customized services for the onboard unit after decryption. Security analysis and performance evaluation demonstrate that our scheme not only meets the requirements of data sharing in the security and confidentiality, but also has obvious advantages in the overhead of computing and communication.

Secure and Efficient Medical Data Storage and Sharing Scheme Based on Double Blockchain

In the digital era, electronic medical record (EMR) has been a major way for hospitals to store patients’ medical data. The traditional centralized medical system and semi-trusted cloud storage are difficult to achieve dynamic balance between privacy protection and data sharing. The storage capacity of blockchain is limited and single blockchain schemes have poor scalability and low throughput. To address these issues, we propose a secure and efficient medical data storage and sharing scheme based on double blockchain. In our scheme, we encrypt the original EMR and store it in the cloud. The storage blockchain stores the index of the complete EMR, and the shared blockchain stores the index of the shared part of the EMR. Users with different attributes can make requests to different blockchains to share different parts according to their own permissions. Through experiments, it was found that cloud storage combined with blockchain not only solved the problem of limited storage capacity of blockchain, but also greatly reduced the risk of leakage of the original EMR. Content Extraction Signature (CES) combined with the double blockchain technology realized the separation of the privacy part and the shared part of the original EMR. The symmetric encryption technology combined with Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (CP–ABE) not only ensures the safe storage of data in the cloud, but also achieves the consistency and convenience of data update, avoiding redundant backup of data. Safety analysis and performance analysis verified the feasibility and effectiveness of our scheme.

Towards Secure and Privacy-Preserving Data Sharing in e-Health Systems via Consortium Blockchain.

Electronic health record sharing can help to improve the accuracy of diagnosis, where security and privacy preservation are critical issues in the systems. In recent years, blockchain has been proposed to be a promising solution to achieve personal health information (PHI) sharing with security and privacy preservation due to its advantages of immutability. This work proposes a blockchain-based secure and privacy-preserving PHI sharing (BSPP) scheme for diagnosis improvements in e-Health systems. Firstly, two kinds of blockchains, private blockchain and consortium blockchain, are constructed by devising their data structures, and consensus mechanisms. The private blockchain is responsible for storing the PHI while the consortium blockchain keeps records of the secure indexes of the PHI. In order to achieve data security, access control, privacy preservation and secure search, all the data including the PHI, keywords and the patients' identity are public key encrypted with keyword search. Furthermore, the block generators are required to provide proof of conformance for adding new blocks to the blockchains, which guarantees the system availability. Security analysis demonstrates that the proposed protocol can meet with the security goals. Furthermor, we implement the proposed scheme on JUICE to evaluate the performance.

SeDaSC: Secure Data Sharing in Clouds

Cloud storage is an application of clouds that liberates organizations from establishing in-house data storage systems. However, cloud storage gives rise to security concerns. In case of group-shared data, the data face both cloud-specific and conventional insider threats. Secure data sharing among a group that counters insider threats of legitimate yet malicious users is an important research issue. In this paper, we propose the Secure Data Sharing in Clouds (SeDaSC) methodology that provides: 1) data confidentiality and integrity; 2) access control; 3) data sharing (forwarding) without using compute-intensive reencryption; 4) insider threat security; and 5) forward and backward access control. The SeDaSC methodology encrypts a file with a single encryption key. Two different key shares for each of the users are generated, with the user only getting one share. The possession of a single share of a key allows the SeDaSC methodology to counter the insider threats. The other key share is stored by a trusted third party, which is called the cryptographic server. The SeDaSC methodology is applicable to conventional and mobile cloud computing environments. We implement a working prototype of the SeDaSC methodology and evaluate its performance based on the time consumed during various operations. We formally verify the working of SeDaSC by using high-level Petri nets, the Satisfiability Modulo Theories Library, and a Z3 solver. The results proved to be encouraging and show that SeDaSC has the potential to be effectively used for secure data sharing in the cloud.

Secure Data Access and Sharing Scheme for Cloud Storage

Cloud storage is a new storage mode emerged along with the development of cloud computing paradigm. By migrating the data to cloud storage, the consumers can be liberated from building and maintaining the private storage infrastructure, and they can enjoy the data storage service at anywhere and anytime with high reliability and a relatively low cost. However, the security and privacy risks, especially the confidentiality and integrity of data seem to be the biggest hurdle to the adoption of the cloud storage applications. In this paper, we consider the secure data access and sharing issues for cloud storage services. Based on the intractability of the discrete logarithm problem, we design a secure data access and data sharing scheme for cloud storage, where we utilize the user authentication scheme to deal with the data access problem. According to our analysis, through our scheme, only valid user with the correct password and biometric can access to the cloud storage provider. Besides, the authorized users can access the rightful resources and verify the validity of the shared data, but cannot transfer the permission to any other party. At the same time, the confidentiality and integrity of data can be guaranteed.
