The present study was conducted to explore the relationship between aggression and coping strategies of female players of different universities of Lahore, Pakistan. Questionnaire Survey Design was used. A total number of 150 female players of different Universities were enrolled after taking their consent. Data collection was done using two different questionnaires 1) The Buss–Perry Aggression Questionnaire (1992) and 2) Coping Strategies Scale, which is a five-point Likert scale ranging from strongly agree (five points) to strongly disagree (one point) one questionnaire adapted by Madaki and Aliyu Mohammad (2011). The Aggression scale was based on four factors, Physical Aggression (PA), Verbal Aggression (VA), Anger (A) and Hostility (H). The total score for Aggression is the sum of the factor scores. Whereas, Coping Strategies Scale measured Proactive Coping, Preventive Coping, and Social Support. Results of correlation analysis showed a negative relationship of aggression and anger with preventive and proactive coping strategies. While hostility also indicated a negative correlation with proactive coping. Further analysis showed that social support is negatively correlated with hostility and positively correlated with proactive and preventive coping strategies. Simple linear regression by entering method was used to find predictor of social supports in female players. Results showed that preventive and proactive coping were two significant predictors of social support.
