Kiprah KH. Sahal Suhana Tokoh Pendiri Pendidikan Islam Modern di Kabupaten Kuningan Jawa Barat, 1994-2016

Education in Indonesia has a long history of producing intellectual figures from local to national. In the Kuningan region, West Java, there are intellectual figures who are active in the field of education. This thesis aims to find out how KH. Sahal Suhana in driving education in the Kuningan Regency area, West Java in 1994-2016. This research uses historical research methods. The steps include heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The results of this research are the role of KH. Sahal Suhana, a person who was not born from Kyai descent, was able to take part in becoming a Kyai by becoming the pioneer of the founder of the largest Modern Islamic Education in Kuningan Regency, West Java and growing rapidly, including the Husnul Khotimah Foundation and the Al-Multazam Husnul Khotimah Islam ic Education Foundation. As a pioneer figure who is active in the world of education, he has succeeded in creating new breakthroughs in eliminating the negative stigma of Islamic boarding schools, such as dirty students, dirty water, always wearing sarongs, lagging behind in technology and other problems. In modernizing Islamic education through the Islamic Boarding School KH. Sahal Suhana has succeeded in changing the public's mindset towards the negative stigma of Islamic boarding schools, and in the curriculum has succeeded in developing science and technology for the students, and in terms of facilities and infrastructure has succeeded in completing the foundation's facilities to support learning.

Kapabilitas Digital dan Efek Kepuasan Kerja terhadap Peningkatan Kinerja Karyawan Pondok Pesantren di Jepara

Digital transformation is becoming a global challenge for the workforce, where automation with machines and robots has the potential to replace the role of humans in companies. Nonetheless, the success of digital transformation still requires an adaptive workforce with technological skills, which apply in various sectors, including education. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of digital capability and job satisfaction on the performance of Islamic boarding school employees. This study is a descriptive quantitative research with a population of educators and educational staff of Islamic boarding schools with a total population of 420 employees and which can be used as a sample of 205 employees. Data was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires and then analyzed using WARP PLS 7.0 software. The researchers analyzed that digital skills have an effect on employee performance. Satisfaction has no effect on employee performance and job satisfaction moderates the influence of digital capabilities on employee performance. Recommendations in future studies could include gender differences, a clearer indicator of digital skills.Keyword: digital capability, job satisfaction, job performance, islamic boarding school

Peningkatan Kapasitas Pembelajaran Santri Melalui Literasi Digital Dan Pemanfaatan Media Sosial Di Pondok Pesantren

Nowadays, digital literacy is very important because computerization is increasingly sophisticated, making it easier to find references for the study of science. By using digital literacy, it will be more cost-effective than having to buy books, and in fact, by using digital literacy the information will always be updated. Social media is now very popular among people because it can provide new information. The aim of this service is to teach and assist students to use digital literacy to increase learning capacity, and also to manage social media as a medium to strengthen brotherhood between fellow students. The PKM process carried out at the Al-Hikmah Srengat Blitar Islamic Boarding School consists of three stages: First, problem identification is a study carried out by the PKM team, teachers, school principals, and leaders at the Islamic boarding school to find out how strong their literacy skills are. digital owned by the students. The results of this PKM are teaching and mentoring regarding digital literacy studies and the use of social media such as Facebook, and Instagram by creating groups as a communication medium for students, as well as the practice of installing the Zoom application and its benefits, as well as using the Google Meet application.

Bimbingan Rohani Islam Untuk Meningkatkan Efikasi Diri Santri; Studi Kasus Layanan Pendidikan Pesantren Krapyak Yogyakarta

This study aims to analyze spiritual guidance in increasing the self-efficacy of students in Islamic boarding schools. In the context of Islamic boarding schools, students' self-efficacy has an important role in building balanced character and personal development. This must be seen holistically that self-efficacy is a belief possessed by individuals to have the ability to manage and perform actions in order to achieve certain goals, while Islamic spiritual guidance itself is a process of conveying Islamic values ​​to someone carried out by spiritual mentors so that they can strengthen faith and soul. Therefore the method of spiritual guidance becomes necessary in implementing psychological self-efficacy improvements, especially for students who live in Islamic boarding schools. The focus of the research carried out is the method in Islamic spiritual guidance, two methods are carried out (1) the direct method; (2) indirect method. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research. Sampling used purposive sampling, while the data collection technique used was in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The research was conducted at the Islamic boarding school Al-Munawwir Krapyak Yogyakarta with the results showing that spiritual guidance service methods can improve students' self-efficacy.

MANAJEMEN PENGENDALIAN MUTU LPD AL BAHJAH CIREBON

This study aims to understand the concept of quality control in Islamic boarding schools, the implementation of quality control and its implications for Al-Bahjah Islamic boarding school. This research used a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted by in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The research informants were the Head of the Foundation, Head of the Boarding School, Head of Tarbiyah Division and several alumni of Al-Bahjah Boarding School. Data were analyzed by condensation, display, and verification analysis. Then checking the validity of the data using data source triangulation. In this study, researchers found several research results, first, the planning of the quality of education at Al-Bahjah Islamic Boarding School is fast but directed. Implementation of the quality of education at Al-Bahjah Islamic Boarding School from planning through: Monthly to annual meetings to determine the RAB and quality lesson plans during the KBM process, revise and evaluate to find out what factors are the supporters and obstacles in the previous year, provide solutions or input in an effort to improve quality for the coming year, and there is control from the institution in carrying out the quality of education. The high interest of the community in Al-Bahjah pesantren is an implication of good pesantren management, proselytizing by the human resources of Al-Bahjah pesantren to the community, and teachers who are qualified in their fields who are brought in from abroad.

The Effect of Integrative Curriculum Implementation and Character Education on Academic Success of Islamic Boarding School Students in East Java

This study investigates the impact of integrative curriculum implementation and character education on the academic success of students in Islamic boarding schools in East Java. Utilizing a quantitative research design, the study gathered data from a sample of 150 students, employing a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5 to measure responses. The analysis was conducted using SPSS version 25 to determine the relationship between the variables. Findings reveal a significant positive effect of both integrative curriculum and character education on academic performance. Integrative curriculum implementation (r = 0.64, p < 0.01) and character education (r = 0.58, p < 0.01) were both positively correlated with academic success. Multiple regression analysis showed that these variables together explained 52% of the variance in academic success. The results underscore the importance of a holistic educational approach that combines academic and character development to enhance student outcomes. These insights offer valuable implications for educators and policymakers aiming to improve educational strategies in Islamic boarding schools.

Imagining educational futures? SDG4 enactment for ethnic minorities in Laos

ABSTRACT Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4) began with the ambition of reducing inequalities in education. This paper unpacks the enactment of SDG4 in Laos in relation to ethnic minority students by three groups of policy actors: policymakers, donor agencies, and teachers in an ethnic minority boarding school. Informed by Nancy Fraser’s three dimensions of social justice (distribution, recognition, and representation), the findings show that SDG4 targets as well as subsequent national policy documents were restricted to the distributive dimension. Even distributive justice for ethnic minorities was limited to basic education and technical and vocational training, with decreased access to university scholarships – a potential pathway out of poverty. Combined with meritocratic approaches and the absence of policy support to alleviate cultural and political disenfranchisement, SDG4 enactment in the Lao context appears to contribute to further difficulties for ethnic minority students’ upward mobility and their capacity to imagine enhanced educational futures.

Promising practices for online professional learning

This study took place at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic when most schools worldwide were making the transition to online teaching and learning. Through this single-case study design, the study examined the learning experiences of a group of teachers engaged in interactive, inquiry-based professional learning focused on math, making and coding during a shift to emergency remote teaching. The primary objective was to identify promising practices for online professional learning (PL) focused on math and coding using a maker-pedagogies approach to teaching and learning, based on the teachers’ learning experiences. Study participants included 20 teachers from a rural school board in Northern Ontario, Canada. Findings indicated that the following may be considered as promising practices when developing and implementing virtual math and coding PL from a maker perspective. It is important to: a) balance sessions focused on specific math and coding content with more general sessions focused on learning the various maker-technology tools; b) include both synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities for the variety of teachers involved in the learning; c) include collaborative learning in the teacher PL and a virtual platform that can support this type of social learning; d) ensure the PL sessions are on-going as opposed to one-off or isolated sessions. This research suggests that online professional learning sessions need to consider three elements: the teacher, the content, and the learning environment and offers important recommendations for future work in this area.

Technological developments and advances have had a major influence on the development of morals, morals and ethics. Integrated Islamic schools that implement full day school and boarding school programs are in great demand by parents to shape children's character and avoid the negative impacts of modernization and globalization. Full day school is an education system that implements full day learning. Student activity patterns in Full day school, including academic activities, extracurricular activities and social interactions, have the potential to develop social attitudes. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between full day school activity patterns and the social attitudes of students at XI Integrated Islamic High School (IT) Ar-Rahman Banjarbaru. The type of research used is quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. The population of this research is class XI students of SMA IT Ar-Rahman Banjarbaru for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research sample was 32 respondents with a sampling technique using proportional random sampling. The research instrument is a questionnaire and the data analysis technique uses the chi square test. The research results show a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), which means there is a significant relationship between full day school activity patterns and the social attitudes of class XI students at Ar-Rahman Banjarbaru Integrated Islamic High School (IT). The existence of a full day school system can shape students' social attitudes such as honesty, discipline, tolerance, mutual cooperation, politeness, and responsibility.

Analyzing Grammatical Errors in Student’s Conversation at Tahfidz Al-Quran Al-Amien Islamic Boarding School

In the Arabic language, there are four skills that must be mastered for students and the skill of speak as one of the important skills in learning the Arabic language, and to increase the ability of students to speak Arabic, they must master in linguistic rules, especially grammatical rules. Therefore, the aim of this research is to analyze the grammatical errors in the conversation of third year students at the Tahfidz Al-Quran Al-Amien Islamic Boarding School. and the factors that cause them. The research method used by the researcher is a descriptive analysis. The researcher used the observation and interview method to collect the data, and in analyzing the data, the researcher used the method of condensing data, then presenting it, making inferences, and finally verifying it by the method of triangulation, that is, she used triangulation of the source. The results of this research were that the grammatical errors committed by female students were fifteen errors in words, sixteen errors in structure, and thirty-six errors in sentences. The factors that cause them are lack of interest in grammar, lack of understanding about grammar, neglect of grammar, the influence of the Indonesian language, and the traditions inherited from the old students in using the wrong language.

CALLIGRAPHY ART AS A MEDIUM OF DA'WAH IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ISLAM

Islamic boarding schools are known by the public because many of the works of students are introduced through culture and religion so that these works are known to the outside community. At Islamic boarding school students are also taught to study religion and deepen efforts to create a generation whose character is shaped in accordance with Islamic law. So it is no longer surprising if alumni of Islamic boarding schools are found who have good scientific character. If a work of calligraphy is found in a shop, the first thing that comes to mind is that the work is one of the works of Islamic boarding school children. So that it attracts the attention of parents to enter their children into Islamic boarding schools because of the works made by these students. Developments that can be seen at this time are the many impacts of the influence of calligraphy in Islamic boarding schools and outside Islamic boarding schools. The impact with the existence of calligraphy has had an influence on the development of Islam. The purpose of writing this article is to find out how the role of Islamic boarding schools is in developing the art of calligraphy as a medium for preaching the development of Islam. In this study the authors used descriptive qualitative methods through a literature study approach, taking reference materials from journals, books, articles, and others, as mandatory material in this research.

Strengthening Islamic Education Leadership: An Analysis of School-Based Management Training Follow-up Programs

This study explains the approaches used by the Institute for Research and Community Development Studies in School-Based Management (SBM) training for Islamic elementary schools in Magelang Regency. The data in this qualitative study were collected through observation techniques, interviews, and document studies obtained from training facilitators, principals, supervisors, school boards, and training organizing committees. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using qualitative techniques. The results of the study show that the leadership enculturation approach was used in training to strengthen the leadership of Islamic elementary schools. The leadership enculturation approach was adjusted to the stages of SBM training as follows: 1) Partnership leadership enculturation was used to strengthen school leadership in preparing follow-up plans after SBM training. 2) Mentoring collaborative leadership enculturation was used to strengthen school leadership in schools’ action implementation. 3) Evaluative leadership enculturation was used to strengthen school leadership in measuring and assessing the training process, training outcomes, and the impact of change on schools. The school leadership enculturation approach adjusted to the training stages can be used to ensure the implementation of SBM in schools after training.

This study focuses on examining the effectiveness of integrating situational leadership with traditional values to enhance student discipline in Islamic boarding schools. The primary objective is to explore how a holistic leadership training program, tailored to the unique cultural context of pesantren, can improve student adherence to school regulations and foster self-discipline. A qualitative case study method was employed, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. Data were collected from school administrators, teachers, and students at Nurul Jadid Middle School in Probolinggo, East Java. The findings indicate that the integration of situational leadership principles with the values of pesantren significantly improves student discipline, resulting in a more orderly and conducive learning environment. The study's implications suggest that this model can be adopted by similar institutions to enhance student behavior and academic outcomes. The research contributes to the growing body of literature on educational leadership and discipline, particularly within the context of Islamic education.

Implementing management of the physical fitness education program for the drug rehabilitation patients in drug addict therapy centre

Abstract. This research analyses the urgency of Implementation of Physical Fitness Education Program Management for Drug Rehabilitation Patients at the Bidayatussalikin Islamic Boarding School (BIBS) Drug Addict Therapy House in Indonesia. This research was a mixed-method research. The quantitative sample consisted of 65 BIBS drug rehabilitation students. The qualitative sample included 6 expert informants. The conclusion is the implementation of physical fitness education programme management as a means of accelerating non-medical rehabilitation for students as former drug addicts needs to be implemented. This programme can be used as a means of accelerating the non-medical healing process through; strengthening physical fitness components, repairing the body's nerve cells, encouraging the release of the hormones dopamine and endorphins that trigger happiness, reducing stress, managing emotions, stabilising mood, channeling positive energy, avoiding empty thoughts, helping restore damaged memory, and entertaining the students as former drug addicts. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of implementing a structured physical fitness education pro-gram in drug rehabilitation centers. The findings confirm that such programs not only provide significant physical health benefits, but also support psychological recovery and encourage positive routines for patients. Physical fitness programs, integrated in drug rehabilitation strategies, should be considered a crucial and indispensable component, due to their contribution to physical and mental well-being during the recovery process. Research has also shown the integral role of rehabilitation in helping individuals suffering from substance use disorders to achieve recovery and pre-vent relapse. By incorporating approaches that cover physical, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects, rehabilitation programs can effectively support the holistic well-being and successful recovery of individuals undergoing rehabili-tation from substance dependence. Reading achievement and deaf students with cochlear implants

Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the reading outcomes of a Canadian cohort of school-aged deaf learners with cochlear implants (CIs). The goal was to investigate whether achievement approached that of hearing age peers and identify demographic factors influencing performance. Methods Participants represent a subset of 13 students with CIs from a larger sample of 70 deaf students in grades four through 12 educated in inclusive settings within a large school board in central Canada. Data sources included demographic information, teachers’ ratings on the Categories of Auditory Performance (CAP), and scores from the Woodcock-Johnson III Diagnostic Reading Battery [WJ III-DRB]. Results/Discussion: Participants performed within the low average range in all areas except for Phonological Awareness, which was in the low range; however, there was wide variability in scores across participants. None of the demographic variables (e.g. home language, additional disabilities) had a statistically significant association with performance, although older students had higher mean scores on the Phonological Awareness cluster. Conclusion These findings add to the body of research on literacy achievement and cochlear implantation, providing evidence that this technology has a significant positive effect on outcomes for a population that has heretofore underperformed in this area.

Kesalahan Berbahasa Arab Perspektif Howard Douglas Brown: Studi Kasus Mahasiswa PTDU Malang

This study aims to analyze students’ Arabic language errors from Howard Douglas Brown’s perspective, identifying three errors, namely interlingual transfer, intralingual transfer, and context of learning. An interpretive paradigm and qualitative approach were used in this study using a case study method at Daarul Ukhuwwah College (PTDU), Malang. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation, then analyzed using qualitative analysis and data triangulation. The results of the study show that students often make mistakes in Arabic grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation according to Brown’s theory of interlingual transfer, intralingual transfer and context of learning. Students’ perceptions of language errors show a basic understanding of the second language learning process, where errors are considered as a step in understanding and using Arabic. The implications of this study include expanding understanding of the needs of Islamic boarding school students in learning Arabic as well as adapting the curriculum and teaching methods to increase the effectiveness of Arabic language learning in Islamic boarding schools.
