As a result of the statistical evaluation on the response of nonlinear control system to random input, it has already been shown that the response to the desired input signal and that to the random disturbance could be separately evaluated. In this paper, the characteristic value of a nonlinear element is evaluated in order to minimize the unwanted portion and to maximize the signal portion to the system. Since it is a tedious procedure to treat the minimum problem of the above consideration analitically, a convenient graphical method is shown. The general consideration is described and then an application is made to a nonlinear control system with saturated element.
