Evaluating the Service Performance Measurement in PT. ASABRI (Persero) Balikpapan Branch Office, Indonesia

State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) is one of the contributors to the State Budget in terms of non-tax state revenue. BUMN dividends as a share of the government, the performance of BUMN has partially contributed to the realization of state revenues. This study seeks to evaluate the service performance measurement in PT. ASABRI (Persero) Balikpapan Branch Office, Indonesia. This study uses Important Performance Analysis (IPA) on 70 personnel of ASABRI. The result indicates that expectations and reality, the satisfaction level of respondents (ASABRI participants/heirs) was 95.23 percent, indicating that ASABRI participants/heirs were very satisfied with the services provided by the PT. ASABRI (Persero) Balikpapan Branch Office. The overall gap value is calculated based on the difference between the actual level of performance with the expected level. All show a positive value (+), meaning that the management of PT ASABRI (Persero) Balikpapan Branch has provided services according to the needs of ASABRI participants and management has provided satisfactory service to the participants.

Study on the Satisfaction Level of Heritage and Cultural Tourism Information Available in Media

Sharing information and provide access to all societies can promote heritage and cultural tourism. Especially, using media and social networks, and the proliferation of smart devices. Through new media such as online sites and publications, visitors and tourists to heritage promotions are better able to obtain adequate information about the heritage sites. Furthermore, marketers can better collect critical information from customers online and solicit feedback on cultural experiences. Hence, this paper presents a study on determine the level of satisfaction amongst residents ofUAE on the heritage and cultural tourism information that had made available through various media. The study was conducted quantitatively, with data collected via questionnaire surveys. A total of 501 completed questionnaires were obtained and analysed statistically. It was found that five most influential questions on the satisfaction level of respondents on the heritage and cultural tourism information available in media are as followed. The top rank is for question 11 which is I would recommend to attend culture events in UAE for all people I know on my social media accounts. Then follows second rank that is question 7 which is Young Emirati people always share in culture events and share on thier social media accounts. The third rank is for question 8 wich is We are always satisfied with information about events in UAE related to heritage and culture events. The fouth rank is question 9 which is Heritage and culture events have the top priority in society and attract all Emirati people. And the fifth rank is question 6 wich is Government authorities plan for effective events that promote culture and heritage tourism. It can be concluded that majority of respondents were pleased with the information provided and expressed a willingness to recommend online sources to their friends. A sizable proportion of those polled emphasised the importance of better information in promoting heritage and cultural tourism in the UAE.

OVERVIEW OF SATISFACTION SOCIETY OF SERVICE COUNTER REGISTRATION OF OUTPATIENT HEALTH

Background:At this time the basic need of the Indonesian people to be able to live a decent and productive life is health, with this it is necessary to provide health services that are in line with the aim of accessing quality health services. The role of the puskesmas as the first level of health care provider needs to maintain the quality of service so that patients feel satisfied. objectives: This study aims to describe the community's satisfaction with the outpatient registration service at the Baraka Health Center, Baraka District, Enrekang Regency. Method: This type of research is a quantitative research using a cross sectional study design. The population in this study were all people who were in the working area of the Baraka Community Health Center. Result : The results showed that the satisfaction level of respondents at the Baraka Health Center was mostly satisfied with the service at the outpatient registration counter.Conclusion : The researcher recommends the health workers of the Baraka Health Center, especially the registration counter service, to give a better impression to the people who come for treatment.

OFIS ÇALIŞANLARININ OTURMA KONFORUNDAN MEMNUNIYET DERECELERI VE BIR OFIS SANDALYESINDEN BEKLENTILERI

Seating comfort is related with the individual’s office chair features, user features and the time that is spent sitting on an office chair. The increase of the working hours at the offices leads to a variety of musculoskeletal disorders caused by the lack of improper workplace design and business equipment. The aim of this study is to investigate the discomfort complaints about the office chairs and the expectations of participants from an office chair and to determine the significate user and task features which affect the overall satisfaction from the office chair. This study is part of a continuing project, which seeks to design an office chair considering the discomforts and expectations in terms of structural design and textile design. Based on the results of the survey, an office chair which would is prospected to satisfy the expectations of the respondents will be designed. A survey was applied to randomly selected 382 respondents to determine the overall satisfaction level of respondents from their own current office chairs, the features of current their office chairs, the textile materials used on their office chair and their expectations from an office chair. It was found out that 74.89% of women and 58.05% of men were not satisfied with their office chairs. 68.75 % of the staff, who were not satisfied with their chairs, thought that their discomforts were caused by their office chairs. Besides, the results stated that textile materials used on office chair affect the comfortability of the chair and it is also determined that there are some expectations from the textile materials which have to be covered.

Impact evaluation of watershed management programmes in Siwalik Himalayas of Haryana, India

Watershed management is a holistic approach to address the problem of land degradation and to maintain ecological balance. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the impacts of watershed management programmes in Morni Hills of Siwalik Himalayas, India. A pretested structured questionnaire was administered on 120 randomly selected respondents from eight villages. Data were collected by personal interviews, group discussions and field observations. The respondents were questioned about their perception of different socio-economic, agricultural and livestock and environmental aspects. Descriptive statistics, chi-square test, independent sample t test, one-way ANOVA and satisfaction index were applied for data analyses. The result shows considerable improvements in the socio-economic, agricultural and livestock and environmental conditions. Increased employment opportunities, wages of labourers and per capita income had reduced the poverty and improved the living standard of local community. Increased agricultural productivity and yield had led food security in this area. Approximately 80% of respondents believed that watershed development programmes are prime requirement for the sustainable development. The overall satisfaction level of respondents’ was about 56% by performance of management practices. This lower value of satisfaction level suggests that watershed managers should consider local people’s knowledge about existing problems, their needs and obstacles in application of management practices. It is believed that findings of this study will be beneficial for watershed managers for effective execution of future projects.

ANALISIS KESENJANGAN KUALITAS PELAYANAN BERDASARKAN KEPUASAN PASIEN POLIKLINIK SARAF RS BHAYANGKARA SURABA

Background: Neurological polyclinic service at Bhayangkara Hospital in Surabaya is one of polyclinics that has an increasing number of patient visits every year. To keep patients’ loyalty towards a neurological polyclinic, the hospital must be able to meet patients’ needs so that patients feel satisfied.Aims: Therefore, it is necessary to conduct an assessment related to expectations and real service obtained by patients at the neurological polyclinic. The purpose of this study is to analyze the gap on the service quality and satisfaction level based on expectations and real service quality.Method: The study design was cross sectional with 50 respondents as the sample taken by simple random sampling. The research method was a survey as a questionnaire instrument.Results: The result showed that the satisfaction level of respondents in neurological polyclinic in general was very satisfying. The gap value of the overall research is that the service quality at the neuropathic polyclinics has a negative gap (-0.06). The service quality has not met patients’ expectations.Conclusion: In conclusion, the service quality is a vital part in Bhayangkara Hospital, Surabaya. The hospital can maintain their good image and patient visit if the service quality is excellent too. The hospital should improve the waiting room convenience and the discipline of their staffs to create better service quality.Keywords: patients’ satisfaction, gap analysis, quality dimension, service quality

An Analysis of Performance of Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum: A Special Case of Mathura District

Consumer is the backbone of every economy. Without consumer there is no visible boom in any kind of business as well as economy. Every person who exists in the world is a consumer. Hence, it becomes very necessary for every government to safeguard the rights of the consumers. The present era is marked by rapid industrialisation and globalisation. Firms are free to sell their products anywhere in the world as well as customers are free to purchase from anywhere in the world. Firms have well organised and specialised groups to safeguard their interest but consumers are not organised and are not able to fights for their rights. So it is prime responsibility of each nation to protect the rights of consumers. India has also moved ahead in this direction and introduced the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 which mandates the establishment of three-tier consumer disputes redressal agencies at district, state and centre levels for protection of the consumer rights. This study focuses on the analysis of performance of consumer dispute redressal forum regarding decisions of the forum, satisfaction level of respondents on those decisions, how much of the claim was actually received, time taken for a particular redressal case, and whether any pressure was put on the forum to take decision in the favour of a specific party. The present research is based on the questionnaire method. 250 samples were randomly selected from Consumer Redressal Forum, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India. For the analysis of data, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and chi-square tests were used. The findings give an idea about the performance of consumer dispute redressal forum with regard to the case of Mathura District.

Expectation and satisfaction of HIV/AIDS patients toward the pharmaceutical care provided at Gondar University Referral Hospital, Northwestern Ethiopia: a cross-sectional study.

PurposeMeasurements of patient satisfaction help to assess the performance of health service provision and predict treatment adherence and outcomes. This study aimed to assess human HIV/AIDS patients’ expectation of and satisfaction with the pharmaceutical service delivered at Gondar University Referral Hospital, Ethiopia.Patients and methodsAn institution-based cross-sectional study was performed from May 11 to 25, 2015. A total of 291 patients living with HIV/AIDS were included using a simple random sampling method. Data were collected using structured questionnaires measuring expectation and satisfaction of respondents using a Likert scale of 1–5 through face-to-face interviews. The data collected were entered into and analyzed using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences. Comparison was made between those respondents who lived in and outside the town.ResultsThe overall mean expectation and satisfaction of respondents toward pharmacy setting and services were 3.62 and 3.13, respectively. More than half (56.1%) of the participants were dissatisfied with the comfort and convenience of waiting area and private counseling room. Similarly, 69.3% of the respondents claimed that pharmacy professionals did not give information about side effects and drug–drug and drug–food interactions of antiretroviral medications. There was a statistically significant difference between respondents who live in and outside Gondar town in overall expectation (t=3.415, P=0.001) with the pharmacy setting and services.ConclusionIn this study, the overall satisfaction level of respondents with pharmaceutical service (pharmacy setting and services) provided at Gondar University Referral Hospital was found to be low, while the overall respondents’ expectation from the pharmaceutical services were exceedingly high. The hospital should implement good dispensing practice systems in relation to the services and continuing professional development to professionals in order to improve the satisfaction of patients.

Farmers perspective on functioning of marketing co-operatives - an exploratory study of markfed and hafed

MARKFED and HAFED are the largest marketing co-operatives of Punjab and Haryana respectively. The federations are playing important role in marketing of agricultural produce and consumer products. The present paper attempts to assess the perception of member farmers regarding working of respective federations. The study is based on both primary and secondary data. Tools like One-Sample Kolmogorov Smirnov test, Reliability Analysis, Average Weighted Scores, Chi-square Test, Mann Whitney Test, Kruskall-Wallis Test and Regression Analysis has been used for the analysis of data. The study found that the majority of respondents of both the federations have expressed their satisfaction regarding the functioning of the federations but overall the respondents of MARKFED are more satisfied with the procurement of the produce and products of their federation than the respondents of HAFED. In MARKFED, the overall satisfaction level of respondents is significantly affected by procurement activity whereas in HAFED, procurement activities along with other opinion statements significantly affect the opinion of the respondents. The federations should take more effective steps for improving further the procurement of agricultural produce, creating more awareness regarding the services provided, building a proper system of product enquiry and complaints and organizing activities relevant to the members.

The impact of digital library resources on scholarly communication: challenges and opportunities for university libraries in Pakistan

Purpose – This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of HEC digital library resources and services in the public sector universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan on the basis of research scholars' satisfaction and its impact on their research progress. Design/methodology/approach – A descriptive survey research method was adopted in order to achieve the objectives of this study. A stratified random sampling technique was used to solicit data from both genders. Research scholars of MS/MPhil and PhD from 14 public sector universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were selected as sampled for this study. A structured questionnaire was developed to collect data and a five-point Likert scale was used to know the purpose and the satisfaction level of respondents with digital library resources. The impact of digital library on research and problems faced by them while using these resources was also measured by using a five-point Likert scale. Findings – The results of this study indicate that near to one-fourth of the respondents used digital library resources two to three times a week for article writing and thesis or dissertation purposes. The study concluded that digital library provides effective resources and services to research scholars and also found a significant impact on their research progress at these universities. However, research scholars were not satisfied with the support of library professionals regarding the use of digital library resources. The study has identified several problems encountered by respondents in the use of digital library resources and services. Practical implications – The findings of this study and their implications will be helpful for HEC authorities, universities libraries administrators, decision and policy makers and LIS professionals both in Pakistan and in other places. They should benefit from considering the experience of research scholars with digital library resources. This experience can help future subscriptions, training and use of these resources to maximize research scholars' success and achievement in their research activities. Originality/value – The study is the first of its kind and an important source for knowing the effectiveness of digital library resources on research scholars' progress at Pakistani universities.

Micro-credit programmes of different NGOs/MFIs: A comparative study

This study evaluated micro-credit programmes of six leading NGOs/MFIs (BRAC, Grameen Bank, PROSHIKA, ASA, SSS and TMSS) in terms of the clients’ views towards the programmes. The objective of this project is to develop a selection criterion to identify the efficient programme. A total of 406 members from the selected NGOs/MFIs operating micro-credit programmes in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sherpur, Netrokona, Kishoreganj, Norshingdi, Sylhet and Lalmonirhat were interviewed. The data analyses reveal that the majority of the large amount of loans (above Tk.15000) was taken by GB members (33.7 percent). The respondents who knew the actual interest rate were more in BRAC (42.9 percent). Workers of GB ranked first in terms of field visit (24.9 percent). Request needed to get loan was the highest in BRAC (53.0 percent). The satisfaction level of respondents was more in GB and low in SSS. Poverty alleviation due to micro-credit was the highest among GB members (22.0 percent). Logistic regression analysis suggests that amount of loan taken, experience of poverty alleviation and NGO membership are three important determinants of satisfaction level on the micro-credit programme. A set of characteristics were chosen to find out the best performing micro-credit operating NGOs/MFIs. The data analysis suggests that TMSS is the best performing NGOs/MFIs.
