The process of multicomponent nucleation based on the Fokker—Planck equation for the case when the kinetic rate of one of the components is much smaller than that of the others is studied. The multidimensional Fokker—Planck equation in this case is reduced to the one-dimensional case with the effective potential. Depending on the problem parameters, the obtained expression for the nucleation rate includes a smooth transformation from the regime with saddle point avoidance to the usual nucleation through the saddle region.
