Adaptive cloud orchestration resource selection using rough set theory

The recent research is developing in a vast speed to develop the cloud orchestration system. In cloud system the remotely managed servers are storing, finding, removing, replacing and retrieving the various services in an adaptive optimized manner. The lot of services are provided by the vast number of providers in the market with the help of approximation theory by the rough set system (RST). RST finds in helping in getting the efficient cloud resources as a service to the users. The proposed OCRS (Optimized Cost Resource System) approach is being simulated and compared with the existing cloud simulator. The simulator gives the approximate results in many parameters of cloud services. In all aspects our algorithm is performing better.

Interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy rough set system over a novel conflict distance measure with application to decision-making

Conflict analysis is one of the most critical application domains whose importance is increasing rapidly nowadays. Attributes involving conflicts frequently occur with opinion, negotiations, and collaborators in decision-making. Taking advantage of the uncertainty present in decision-making, in this paper, we have proposed a system that can solve the problems involving conflicts more adequately.•A new interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy rough set (IVIFRS) system is introduced to handle a decision-making problem involving a conflict of interests.•The proposed system exploits both the notions of rough set and interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set theories in sharpening the boundaries of conflicts.•In the IVIFRS system, the disputes amongst the objectives are measured by the novel conflict distance measure. Further, an interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy conflict analysis system formulated on the IVIFRS is designed for deciding the conflicting attributesThe formulated system is then studied for weight vectors too. The intended conflict analysis system is studied with reference to the well-known existing intuitionistic fuzzy rough set system. The real-life socio-economic problems are dealt with, and the experimental results validate the efficacy of the proposed system.

Simulation analysis of intrusion detection system based on genetic attribute reduction algorithm and neural network based on rough set theory

With the network technology development and the current attention to network security, the intrusion detection technology of the network system research has being regarded more important. The previous system intrusion detection section has not been able to meet and adapt to the needs of the current rapid development of the network era. The construction of the framework of intrusion detection system is our primary job. This research adopts the genetic attribute reduction algorithm based on rough set and neural network intrusion detection system simulation analysis, through the simple computer algorithm and system simulation analysis of intrusion mode simulation model establishment. The results show that the study has made great success.

New and improved: grey multi-granulation rough sets

ABSTRACTRough set has drawn great attention in recent decades, among which multi-granulation rough set (MGRS) is an arresting direction. It constructs a formal theoretical framework to solve complex problems under the circumstance of multiple binary relations. However, the fusion of multi-granulation rough set and grey system for acquiring knowledge is still a gap. Toward this end, we devise a grey multi-granulation rough set (GMGRS) by taking multiple grey relational relations into consideration under the framework of MGRS. In grey information system, the constructed grey relational relation that measures the relationship among objects can be used to further establish multiple binary relations. Based on two different approximate strategies (seeking common reserving difference and seeking common eliminating difference), two types of GMGRS are presented, respectively. After discussing several important properties of GMGRS, we discover that the properties of the proposed GMGRS are synchronous with the classical MGRS. Meanwhile, to obtain the attribute reduction under GMGRS, we reconstruct significance measure and termination criterion based on the θ-precision pessimistic GMGRS. Last but not least, theoretical studies and practical examples demonstrate that our proposed GMGRS largely enrich the MGRS theory and provide a new technique for knowledge discovery, which is practical in real-world scenarios.

Evaluation of Clean Coal Technologies in China: Based on Rough Set Theory

It is undeniable that coal is still the main resource for production and consumption in China and will likely remain so in the coming decades. This paper proposes a new method based on rough set theory to effectively evaluate clean coal technology (CCT). Firstly a rough-set information system is built after the filtration of CCT evaluation indexes, and then we discuss the calculations of the weight of every index and evaluation result for each technology. This new method reduces the correlation among different attributes, which makes the results more precise. This data collection approach improves reliability and rationality of evaluation. The results highlight advantages and defects in each technology. This will guide entrepreneurs and scholars to improve Chinese CCT.

Transformer Fault Diagnosis Method Based on Rough Set and Generalized Distribution Table

Transformers are considered as significant equipments in electrical power systems, once failure ,the eco- nomic operation will be lost. To overcome this difficulty and to maintain economic operation of facilities, diverse diagnosis methods are developed to implement fault forecasting. According to intelligent complementary ideas, a fault diagnosis is proposed when there is a missing failure symptom of transformer. The core of the proposed ap- proach is a soft hybrid induction system called the Generalized Distribution Table and Rough Set System (GDT-RS) to discover classification rules. The system is based on a combination of Generalized Distribution Table (GDT) and the Rough Set methodologies. The proposed approach is applied into transformer fault diagnosis and the results indicate that it is very effective and accurate.

Characteristics Prediction Method of Electro-hydraulic Servo Valve Based on Rough Set and Adaptive Neuro-fuzzy Inference System

Synthesis characteristics of the electro-hydraulic servo valve are key factors to determine eligibility of the hydraulic production. Testing all synthesis characteristics of the electro-hydraulic servo valve after assembling leads to high repair rate and reject rate, so accurate prediction for the synthesis characteristics in the industrial production is particular important in decreasing the repair rate and the reject rate of the product. However, the research in forecasting synthesis characteristics of the electro-hydraulic servo valve is rare. In this work, a hybrid prediction method was proposed based on rough set(RS) and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS) in order to predict synthesis characteristics of electro-hydraulic servo valve. Since the geometric factors affecting the synthesis characteristics of the electro-hydraulic servo valve are from workers' experience, the inputs of the prediction method are uncertain. RS-based attributes reduction was used as the preprocessor, and then the exact geometric factors affecting the synthesis characteristics of the electro-hydraulic servo valve were obtained. On the basis of the exact geometric factors, ANFIS was used to build the final prediction model. A typical electro-hydraulic servo valve production was used to demonstrate the proposed prediction method. The prediction results showed that the proposed prediction method was more applicable than the artificial neural networks(ANN) in predicting the synthesis characteristics of electro-hydraulic servo valve, and the proposed prediction method was a powerful tool to predict synthesis characteristics of the electro-hydraulic servo valve. Moreover, with the use of the advantages of RS and ANFIS, the highly effective forecasting framework in this study can also be applied to other problems involving synthesis characteristics forecasting.

Variable Rough Set Model and Its Knowledge Reduction for Incomplete and Fuzzy Decision Information Systems

The information systems with incomplete attribute values and fuzzy decisions commonly exist in practical problems. On the base of the notion of variable precision rough set model for incomplete information system and the rough set model for incomplete and fuzzy decision information system, the variable rough set model for incomplete and fuzzy decision information system is constructed, which is the generalization of the variable precision rough set model for incomplete information system and that of rough set model for incomplete and fuzzy decision information system. The knowledge reduction and heuristic algorithm, built on the method and theory of precision reduction, are proposed. Mining stock price using fuzzy rough set system

Abstract In this study of mining stock price data, we attempt to predict the stronger rules of stock prices. To address this problem, we proposed an effective method, a fuzzy rough set system to predict a stock price at any given time. Our system has two agents: one is a visual display agent that helps stock dealers monitor the current price of a stock and the other is a mining agent that helps stock dealers make decisions about when to buy or sell stocks. To demonstrate that our system is effective, we used it to predict the stronger rules of stock price and achieved at least 93% accuracy after 180 trials.
