O regime pluvial irregular afeta a regiao de Cabrobo/PE, tendo em vista que sua economia se destaca pelo setor agropecuario, alem de ser uma area na qual a acao antropica associada as condicoes climaticas resultou em um alto nivel de susceptibilidade a desertificacao. Nessa perspectiva, o presente trabalho objetivou analisar a variabilidade pluviometrica do Nucleo de Desertificacao de Cabrobo, em Pernambuco, considerando os aspectos temporais, espaciais e ritmicos. Foram utilizados dados pluviometricos do periodo de 1982 a 2016. Apos a coleta, organizacao e tabulacao dos dados, foram realizadas as analises a respeito da sua variabilidade. Foi constatada acentuada variabilidade pluviometrica interanual, com anos consecutivos secos e anos consecutivos chuvosos. Na distribuicao espacial verificou-se que, em media, as areas localizadas no sul do Nucleo recebem uma quantidade menor de precipitacao pluviometrica ao longo dos anos estudados. Na genese pluvial, constatou-se o favorecimento ou inibicao da precipitacao no periodo chuvoso de acordo com o posicionamento da Zona de Convergencia Intertropical (ZCIT), principal sistema que favorece as chuvas na regiao, alem da influencia das condicoes de Anomalias de Temperaturas da Superficie do Mar (ATSM) no oceano Pacifico Tropical e do oceano Atlântico Tropical Norte e Sul. ABSTRACT The irregular rainfall regime affects the Cabrobo/PE region, given that its economy stands out in the agricultural sector, besides being an area in which the anthropic action associated to the climatic conditions resulted in a high level of susceptibility to desertification. In this perspective, the present work aimed to analyze the pluviometric variability of the Desertification Nucleus of Cabrobo, in Pernambuco, considering temporal, spatial and rhythmic aspects. Rainfall data were used from 1982 to 2016. After collecting, organizing and tabulating the data, analyzes were carried out regarding their variability. It was observed a marked interannual rainfall variability, with consecutive dry years and consecutive rainy years. In the spatial distribution, it was found that, on average, the areas located in the south of the Nucleus received a smaller amount of rainfall during the studied years. In the pluvial genesis, it was observed the favoring or inhibition of precipitation in the rainy season according to the positioning of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the main system that favors rainfall in the region, besides the influence of the conditions of Surface Temperature Anomalies (ATSM) in the Tropical Pacific Ocean and the North and South Tropical Atlantic Ocean.
